This story does not stick to the 'canon' storyline of classic Greek mythology. Many aspects have been changed for entertainment as well as artistic purposes, therefore please refrain from complaining in the comments if certain aspects are not historically accurate. This is all deliberate.

Furthermore, I am not from Greece, neither was I alive during this time period, so please forgive me if the geography isn't 100% accurate.

With that being said...

The land has been divided into nine distinct districts, each appointed with a god as leader, and all ruling beneath their father/brother; Zeus.

Each district has their subculture, systems and values.

You by no means need to remember these, however they may help with context and understanding for those who are not aware of greek mythology. They are as follows:

ZEUS//OLYMPUS
-God of sky & thunder.
-King of all other Gods, ruler of Greece.
-Zeus resides at the apex of Mount Olympus alongside his seven wives and many children.
-Also referred to as 'The Kingdom of The Clouds.'

ARES//SPARTA
-God of courage & war.
-Son of Zeus and Hera.

APOLLO//DELOS
-God of truth & prophecy.
-Son of Zeus and Leto.

HADES//THE UNDERWORLD
-God of the underworld.
-Brother of Zeus, Poseidon and Demeter.

POSEIDON//AEGEAN SEA
-God of the sea.
-Brother of Zeus, Hades and Demeter.

ARTEMIS//BAURON
-Goddess of animals, the hunt & the moon.
-Daughter of Zeus and Leto.

APHRODITE //PATRAS
-Goddess of love & beauty.
-Daughter of Zeus and Dione.

DIONYSUS//ATHENS
-God of ritual madness & religious ecstasy.
-Son of Zeus and Samele

DEMETER//THRACE
-Goddess of the harvest & fertility
-Sister of Zeus, Poseidon & Hades
