GUIDELINES
This section is pretty long, but it's all very simple. Just please make sure to read it and ask any questions if you don't understand something.
You can hold off from following these rules until we start. Starting date for the awards will be in a couple months. I will update the awards with more information approximately every few weeks until we start.
+ Happy New Years +
O1: CATEGORIES โ For each main category, participants can place max two entries each. For each sub category, you can join only with one entry each. You can join as many categories as you want (sub + main). You cannot repeat your entries in other categories. Now, I know this is confusing as hell, but it will be explained in the next chapter so save these questions for later! [VVIPs have benefits when it comes to entries!]
For the main categories, there will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place + Most Liked, for the sub categories there will just be the winner + honorable mentions/runner ups (not an official award).
O2: FOLLOW โ Make sure to follow this account once you place your entries until the end of the awards. I will make announcements on my message board regarding the awards, so make sure to check my MB at least once every week or two weeks. This is one of the only requirements I will ask you for before entering just so that I know you are following some "rules" at least. I don't like payments, I'm not trying to gain your follows. If you don't read my books or like my work then I don't want you to be forced to follow me for no reason.
You can follow from a backup account, but please mention it where the arrows are. If you follow from a backup and it's not mentioned there, then I will assume you didn't follow the rules and can result in disqualification.
>>>>>>>
O3: PROMOTION โ Give a little promotion on your MB to this award. The second requirement. This is to spread the word so people can join!
O3: READING LIST โ Just add this awards to your reading list to get notifications please! Doesn't matter what reading list, though if you have an awards reading list then please make sure to add it there so others see it and join!
O4: Any k-pop fan-fiction is allowed!
O5: Be nice and patient. Give me approximately 24-48 hours to respond to entries or questions!
O6: ACTIVE CHECKS โ Do the active checks whenever they are up. You will have seven days to do them. If you tell me beforehand that you can't do it/will be inactive then I understand, just tell me early! If you just blatantly ignore my warning messages your book(s) will be disqualified. You have three warnings. This also goes for judging, etc. If you leave during the judging period, your book will be eliminated. [An active check will be done during this time].
O7: FORMS/QUESTIONS โ Fill up the forms neatly and use the format given. Only comment your questions in-line as well as your forms. Some of you don't do this and it might result in me not seeing your forms/questions because they're lost in the comment section. I check directly in-line all the time. Also, if your book is in the wrong category and you don't tell me until the judging period [rarely happens but it did once], then your book will be eliminated.
O8: JUDGING โ No book is perfect. Feedback is mandatory and reading the full book is mandatory. To avoid any conflicts, your host, Dรญa, will be the only judge for this award. I will give you feedback and scores!
O9: CHANGES โ Once you turn in your entry, refrain from changing username/book name. If you change it before the judging period then let me know ASAP in order to make the changes. If you change it during the judging period, you will be eliminated as your book is already undergoing judging and will be difficult to find.
1O: SOCIALS/FEEDBACK โ I will not be placing your feedback/criteria on the award book as I find it disrespectful for everyone else to see something private. I will be contacting you through your preferred social media account whether it's instagram, discord, X, etc. This goes without saying that to participate you should at least have a way for me to send you the information privately.
If you don't pick up your feedback then you won't be able to participate in my awards again. Think of it as a mental blacklist. This is because the feedback is a great piece of help to try and understand why you got the score that you got, even if you won. When you sign up, that means you understand I will do my best to give you feedback to improve your book, so please accept the hard work. [If you won't be active, give me a heads up and make sure to come back and pick up your feedback as soon as you can.] Same goes for the stickers. I will send them alongside the feedback if you win [you don't have to use it, but at least accept it!]
In addition, my feedbacks are basically reviews. They're long. Approximately 2-3 pages if your book has a high score, 4-5 or so if your book has a lower score. So please read over it and keep in mind my recommendations. It would mean a lot!
11: Password is your favorite k-pop group. [just one, please!]
12: VOTING โ When the voting stage takes place, you will be allowed to invite your readers or any users from outside the awards to vote for your book. They can only vote once and the participant is not allowed to vote for themselves. This counts as a separate award (Most Liked Award)! The Most Liked award is only for the main categories, not the sub!
13: MINIMUM โ Make sure to have minimum ten chapters before the judging period. You can submit an entry now with less than ten chapters, but you'll need to have ten by the judging period. If not, your book will be disqualified. [This does not apply to short stories and one shots, you should know if your story is a short story/one shot and what category to place it in! + VVIPs have benefits with minimum amount!]
14: VVIP/MINI GAMES โ I always do VVIP in my awards. The people who will be included as VVIP will be the winners of the mini games in the awards. All mini games are fully awards related. Yes, you can look for the answers in the book, mainly this chapter, but only the first people to answer will win. There will be five VVIP's this time, unless this rule changes later on. You are allowed to give up your VVIP!
The perks of being VVIP are:
- You get to place max three entries per main category and two per sub category.
- You can repeat your entries per category!
- You're exempt from all active checks.
- You can have minimum five chapters before judging period and not be eliminated.
If you have questions specifically on VVIP status, more information will come out in the Categories chapter!
15: AI/PLAGIARISM โ I have zero tolerance for AI, so please do not submit AI generated stories. That being said, using AI tools like Grammarly, ProWritingAid are fine. Using tools for grammar editing is fine. However, when you explicitly tell ChatGPT to fix a paragraph for you then that is completely not allowed. The difference is in the way these tools work. AI apps like ChatGPT change up your sentence structure completely making it not your own writing. AI apps like Grammarly or such if you have the free versions do not change your whole sentence. They give you suggestions to change certain things here and there based on grammar/punctation issues, but they don't write it for you. If you use AI to explicitly write your work or edit your work, then you won't be allowed to participateโno, not even if you wrote the plot. Once again, please make sure to understand the difference and submit your own work. With this being said, no plagiarized work! Lastly, covers cannot be done by AI either, since the rubric requires to judge it too. Covers can be done by someone else but with credit given.
If you're curious to whether your book will show an AI percentage, edit your work and check with multiple AI detectors if you're comfortable doing so. If I stumble upon a book, and suspect there is AI/ChatGPT (which is very noticeable), I will check a specific section with AI detectors, and if AI is detected, your book will be eliminated. To ensure this doesn't happen, avoid using AI. If you think AI will be detected, check for AI percentages. If you don't use any AI, you will have nothing to worry about! [If you don't like the way I do this, you are free to not participate. If you participate, it means you understand the rules and have no problem with it.]
16: ROUNDS โ There will be three rounds. Each main category will have 15 books. Each round, five will be eliminated. The last round will include the top three and the runnerups. Each sub category will have 10 books. The first two rounds will have three books eliminated and the last will have the remaining. The last round will include the "best" (for sub) and the runnerups.

I, as a host, am allowed to make changes to these rules as I see fit. However, they will never change unnecessarily during the awards, nor will affect the participants negatively in any way.
I, as a host and judge, vow to ensure fairness and equality in all of my awards. Any sign of disrespect, unfair advantage, etc. will not be tolerated and can result in being permanently blacklisted. As the only judge, I ensure to maintain proper etiquette when judging all books regardless of the participant's popularity or status. All books will be judged fairly according to the rubric in each category.
