Aurora Tinsley had been living with the Naberrie family for five years, ever since her parents vanished without a trace. Their childhood friend, a man she barely knew, had taken her in. Life with the Naberries was a stark contrast to her old reality, but not entirely unpleasant. She cherished the time spent with his daughters, especially after forming a unique bond with Padmé Amidala. Yet, a noticeable void remained in Aurora's life.

And Aurora knew exactly what it was.

Aurora longed for her old life, a world far removed from the Naberries' one. She missed her childhood forest home and the days she ran alongside the Motts who lived nearby. Her daily adventures, once so vibrant, now felt like a distant dream, and she craved their return. But more than anything, she longed for the days when she didn't have to keep secrets from those closest to her.

The same secrets that Aurora promised her parents she'd keep.

When a rare day off from her duties as one of Queen Amidala's guards finally arrived, Aurora ventured back to her old forest home. She was eager to revisit the place where she grew up, to immerse herself in memories shared with her parents. What she didn't expect was to stumble upon two Jedi, desperately fleeing a droid army.

That was far more than Aurora had ever bargained for.
