"You really miss them, don't you?"

•••

"I know we're all really scared, all right? I'm scared. But we're gonna be okay, I can promise you that. They can shut us down, they can tear this place to pieces, but they can't take away who we are. Some of us will struggle, some of us will live on the streets, dumpster dive, but i'll be back. The building in Dallas.... it's gonna be our new home. I've gotta scope it out, figure out how to get all of us down there... Ronnie and I will be back for you all, you have to trust me." Ivy spoke to her large group of friends. The home they'd built for their concerts was also where they slept, the many rooms built in with bunk beds and meals. The police got involved, kicking everyone else out and were currently tearing the building apart around them.

"How long will you be gone?" a small voice called from the small crowd, looking over at the girl with glitter under her eyes while her eyelids were painted green, a melted down red lipstick lining her eyes dramatically. Ronnie stood next to her, trying to keep a brave look with her newly dyed pink tips and similar statement making make up.

"A week tops, by then we'll be back for all of you, hopfully with cars and bus tickets." Ronnie spoke for Ivy, knowing it wasn't easy for her to make this announcement while their home was being torn down behind them.

"What do we do now?" another voice called as Ivy sighed, holding her hands out for them to take.

"You lay low, trying to survive, find shelter and food."

"You shouldn't look so worried, it'll give you wrinkles." Ronnie said to Ivy, watching the now blonde look out the window as she drove the stolen car.

"I can't help it, what if they don't have places to go? They could starve." Ivy said worried, looking over at the tall woman who waved her hand to get Ivy to grab.

"Do the thing." she demanded as Ivy sighed.

"No." she said back as Ronnie hummed and shook her head.

"Come on, do the thing, it helps you." she protested as Ivy groaned loudly and dramatically, holding her hand out as she waved her fingers in the slightest, watching the flower form in her hands while peace took over her.

"Feel better?" Ronnie asked as Ivy gave her a half smile, taking the flower to set behind her ear.

"A little." Ivy nodded her head as Ronnie grinned her way, the glitter around her eyes starting to fad in the slightest but still shiny.

"Hey, Ronnie?" Ivy asked as the two laid under the stars, their attempt to get sleep before the next morning not going as planned.

"Yeah?" the pink haired girl asked, opening her eyes to look over at Ivy.

"Do you ever... miss your family?" she asked curiously, hearing all about Ronnies family over the years, sometimes it made Ivy not miss her siblings as much when Ronnie talked about her own.

"Um... I wouldn't say I miss them, just the idea of them." the girl answered, rolling on her side to look at Ivy more.

"What do you mean?" the Hargreeves girl asked curiously, not fully understanding.

"I don't miss the yelling, the fights... but I guess I miss being able to say I have a mom and a dad, knowing they were apart of me." Ronnie answered as Ivy nodded, feeling guilty for asking as she stared at her.

"They suck." Ivy said as Ronnie cracked a smile, her eyes twinkling slightly.

"They do, dont they?" she questioned as Ivy nodded her head knowingly, "Do you miss your family?"

"More and more each day." Ivy said honestly, not wanting to talk much on it as Ronnie rubbed her thumb over Ivys hand.

"Tell me about your siblings again." Ronnie pleaded, loving hearing the many stories on all seven of siblings.

"Which one?" Ivy asked as the two shared a laugh, the vines moving slightly with Ivys vocal cords.

"Tell me about Klaus again." Ronnie pleaded as Ivy smiled, laying back on her back as she stared up at the stars.

"Once when we were kids he convinced me I could fly so I threw myself off a roof and passed out." Ivy said as Ronnies laugh echoed through the sky, scooting closer to Ivy as she also looked up at the sky.

"He use to not be able to control his ghost, they'd haunt him all the times. He was so scared, day and night, and I don't know... out dad never really protected us and mom tried but it was harder for her... so I just protected him. We had a fashion show with some of my recently designed clothes and our moms heels... he tripped down the stairs and broke his jaw." Ivy said as her and Ronnie cringed together, their shoulders touching now.

"When he was drugged on the sleeping gas was the only time he never saw the ghost... so it just stuck after that. We were always just so close, like everything I did he was there, him and Diego and Ben actually but you know what I mean." Ivy said with a small smile as Ronnie nodded knowingly, watching Ivys eyes fall slightly.

"You really miss them, don't you?" the taller girl asked as Ivy met her eyes, their nose touching as Ivy nodded her head. The memories of not just the trio but of all her siblings haunting her constantly, forming a bigger hole in her heart everyday.

"More then anything." she answered as Ronnie frowned, "But I know their out there, just a matter of times until we run into each other again... it's happened before."
