"Shes not my girlfriend."

•••

Ivy was always a early riser as annoying as it was. She'd gotten into the habit of it when she was a child, being woken up every morning for training. Sometimes she could somehow sleep in late and get rest but ninety percent of the time she'd wake up just as the sun came up. Laying a few flowers she'd formed in her palm she laid the plants next to Ronnies sleeping figure, something that would surely make her smile the second she woke up.

"Bye, Ivy." Allison said as she kissed the girls forehead, heading out the door as Ivy walked into the kitchen to see Klaus sitting at the table.

"Where's she going in such a rush?" Ivy asked while taking the outreaches cup Klaus offered her.

"To quote our dear sister, to find her damn husband." Klaus said as Ivy hummed.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Klaus said as he followed after her quickly.

"Mailing money." Ivy said while stopping as he bumped into her.

"Oh, maybe I can help." Klaus said as he gave jazz hands making Ivy give him a look.

"Klaus, I love you, truly, I do. But, last times you helped me with money you took off with it and I never saw you again." Ivy said with a laugh as she walked back to the table, putting envelopes on the table.

"Oh, i've moved past that. Old me, now i'm new me, why are we sending money?" Klaus asked as Ivy put the check book on the table.

"The kids back in Las Vegas need bus tickets to come down here, if I play it right, they should all be here within the next month." Ivy said as she wrote the checks, giving them to Klaus as he put them into the envelopes.

"Ivy?" Klaus asked as she hummed and looked over at him, the vine tattoos he'd gotten in Vietnam still along his arm.

"I'm proud of you, of all of this." Klaus said as Ivy smiled softly, giving his hand a squeeze.

"And i'm proud of you."

"On a scale of one to ten, how do I look?" Ivy asked as she did a dramatic turn in the green dress she made.

"Ten is a understatement." Ronnie said from where she was applying the pink eye shadow along her eyes.

"I'm proud of this one, for only having twenty four hours to make two, i'd say we're gonna be the best dressed there." Ivy said as she sat on the bed to pull on her heels, already putting the matching green eyeliner on before getting ready unlike Ronnie.

"We're always the best dressed." Ronnie said knowingly as Ivys eyebrows shot up.

"Fair enough." she giggled as Ronnie turned to her, one eye done.

"I don't get why we have to go to this thing anyways, we're not even close to this place." Ronnie said annoyed, dreading having the be someone she's not just so they can keep the property.

"I don't understand it either but the nice man that still owns our building hasn't asked any weird questions which is why we need to suck it up, go to his party, and then we'll be free of his life." Ivy said as she stood up to sit with Ronnie.

"It's still dumb." Ronnie spoke as Ivy nodded in agreement.

"Agreed." the green eyed girl said as she put the pink flower crown she weaved earlier on Ronnies head before putting the green one onto hers.

"Woah." Ronnie was the first to speak as the two walked into the large house they'd been invited to, many people around them dressed in formal outfits much like the girls were.

"We stick out like a sore thumb." Ivy said as she adjusted the bright green dress around her.

"When do we not?" Ronnie asked as she squeezed Ivys hand and pull her more into the party.

"Cheese crackers." Ivy gushed as she hurried toward them, putting one in her mouth before she felt Ronnie tug her arm.

"Let's dance." the pink haired girl said as she pulled her toward the dance floor.

"Ronnie, there's people." Ivy said knowingly, looking up at the tall girl.

"Who cares?" Ronnie said while spinning Ivy around quickly, making the blonde laugh as she looked at Ronnie over her shoulder.

"I'll have you know, my father made me take dance lessons growing up." Ivy said with a knowing smirk as she turned quickly, dipping Ronnie down with a grin.

"Then you should probably be quicker on your feet." Ronnie said before she wrapped her leg around Ivys calf and dipped her instead making Ivy gasp and hold onto her.

"Touché." she said while Ronnie pulled her back up as Ivy put one hand on Ronnies shoulder and taking her hand with the other.

"I wish we could do this everywhere." Ronnie said with a sigh as her and Ivy swayed.

"What do you mean? We do." Ivy said confused as Ronnie gave her a small twirl.

"Yeah but... like I wish we could dance- in a way that's not like- this." Ronnie stumbled over her words as Ivy frowned in confusion, looking up at her.

"In what way do you want us to dance?" Ivy asked her confused as Ronnie frowned.

"You know what way." the tall girl said, and she was right, Ivy did know. Ivy was smart, extremely smart and she wasn't oblivious, she was well aware Ronnie meant dance in a romantic and relationship way, more then friends.

"I-I-" Ivy stumbled over her words, trying to say something, anything , "I have to pee."

"What?" Ronnie asked confused, looking down at the blonde.

"I have to pee, excuse me." Ivy said as she hurried off, Ronnies words along with Reginalds echoing in her mind.

Ivy disappeared for about ten minutes now, hovering over the bathroom sink upstairs to take a breath. She stared at herself in the mirror, stared at how beautiful she was. Ivy did know she was gorgeous, that was never anything she struggled with because she knew if she constantly told people to love themselves she had to do the same. The way the glitter sat on her eyelids, the way the green lined her eyes.... she looked so much different then she did a few years ago.

She looked different after meeting Ronnie, she looked herself. Ivy loved that, she loved the way Ronnie made her feel and she loved the way she opened a new part of her. She loved herself, she loved Ronnie, she loved who she was. But internal homophobia was so strong, stronger than Ivy and Ronnie combined and she couldn't see that leaving her.

The loud thuds from outside the door made Ivy frown her eyebrows in confusion, listening closely as she heard it again. Opening the door slowly she made her way down the hallway before turning the corner. She could see a tall blonde man, swinging his hands while a dark woman attacked him. Looking to the other side she could see a dark man being attacked by two men.

"Diego." Ivy said in shock, his new hair almost making him unrecognizable. Snapping out of the shock she was in Ivy charged forward, swinging her arms as the plant from the corner shot it's roots out and wrapped around one of the men, making him stumble backwards as Ivy sent a kick to his gut before knocking him in the face.

Turning around Ivy grinned as Diego knocked the guy behind him into the wall, knocking him out much like Ivy did the man before her.

"Nice hair." Ivy said as she looked at her brother.

"Nice hair, you too." he said while pulling her into a tight hug.

"Missed you, dumbass." Ivy said as has slapped him upside the head while they pulled away.

"Missed you more, kid, why are you here?" he asked while fixing his suit as the two headed for the stairs, arms linked.

"Signing for a apartment building, you?" she asked while the two jogged down the steps together.

"With your idiot of a twin brother." Diego said as Ivys eyes widened.

"Fives here, too?" she asked with wide eyes before another voice cut in.

"Ivy!" Ronnie called as she ran toward them.

"Who the hell is this pink woman?" Diego asked as he looked at Ronnie who, with her heels, was taller then he was.

"Ronnie, she's my friend, Ronnie this is Diego, my brother who's in a rush right now." Ivy said as she grabbed Ronnies wrist to drag her alongside her and Diego out the house.

"This is Diego?" Ronnie asked with a odd look.

"What's that look for?" he asked defensively toward her.

"Nothing, just from what i've heard I expected you to be bigger." she said as Ivy held back a laugh as Diego gave her a glare.

"Yeah well I wasn't expecting my sisters first girlfriend to have pink hair and shiny eyelids." be shot back as Ronnie and Ivy both turned red.

"She's not my girlfriend." Ivy said quickly as Ronnie frowned while the trio exited the house.

"Alright, Ivy, stay close by-" Diego began before Ivy took off the second they exited the house.

"Five!" she called to her twin brother, tripping and twisting her ankle making her hiss in pain but hopping toward him anyways.

"Ivy, what are you doing here?" he asked while catching her as the two hugged each other.

"I knew you weren't dead, I thought maybe everyone else, but not you." she said quietly and in shock while squeezing her twin, who was shorter then her, tightly.

"I'm not dead." he said while hugging her back, letting his tough guy side fall slightly while squeezing her, "I'm not dead."

••••••
