๐ง๐ข๐ง๐. if sally jackson has no fans, i'm dead
"As we mentioned before, our job has been to guide you up to this point," Grover said calmly to Percy.
From the front seat, Kiara rolled her eyes.
"Jackson, just... keep an open mind," Kiara advised, glancing at Percy through the rearview mirror.
"You say that like it's easy," Percy grumbled.
"It is," the daughter of Apollo shrugged. "You're the one making it difficult."
"Keep an open mind?!" Percy exclaimed, causing his mother to flinch. "My best friend turns out to be half-goat, and you..." he turned to the front, locking eyes with Kiara. "What the hell are you?"
Before Kiara could respond, the sound of heavy footsteps echoed around them. Lightning lit up the sky, and the rain began to pour harder.
"I swear by Billy Loomis, the next time I see him, I'm kicking his old ass," Kiara muttered under her breath, rolling down the window and leaning halfway out.
"What the hell are you doing?!" Will and Nico shouted in unison, watching her with obvious concern.
"Saving the day," Kiara said with a grin and a wink toward Percy and Grover.
Sally, wide-eyed, grabbed her jacket just as Kiara nearly lost her balance.
"You're going to fall!" Sally screamed, terrified, gripping the steering wheel with her other hand.
"I'll be fine," Kiara reassured, raising her voice over the howling wind.
"I still don't get how you are alive," Apollo murmured, his gaze distant.
"I'm immortal, remember?" Kiara teased, flashing a playful smile.
Klaus shook his head, though a small smile tugged at his lips.
In one swift motion, Kiara summoned her bow, notching three arrows at once and releasing them with deadly precision.
"What are you aiming at?" Percy asked, confused as there was no visible target. His green eyes widened when the arrows struck an invisible monster, erupting into a blinding flash of light.
The beast's roar was so deafening that Percy felt the hair on his arms stand up.
"What the fuck is that?!" Percy shouted, horrified. Grover shrank deeper into his seat, gripping the seatbelt with both hands.
"Perseus, watch your mouth!" Sally scolded as she pressed down on the accelerator.
"Can't even express myself these days," Percy muttered, as if lamenting some ancient injustice.
"I know, baby, I know," Kiara responded, patting his back with mock sympathy.
"It's the Minotaur," Kiara said after a brief pause.
"Don't say his name!" Sally and Grover cried in unison, alarmed.
"You and Percy really need to learn not to throw those names around," Annabeth scolded, casting a stern look their way.
"Oh, come on," Kiara complained. "No point hiding itโthe cow was already there."
"My daughter is right, Kiara. I thought I taught you better," Athena added, shooting her niece a disapproving look.
Kiara just rolled her eyes.
"The Mino... like that mythological creature Mr. Brunner taught us about?" Percy asked, incredulous.
"Were the old ladies at the fruit stand imaginary too, Percy?" Grover replied, dead serious.
"I... I don't know, okay?" Percy stammered, growing more frustrated. "Mom, what is going on?"
"There's a lot to explain, sweetie," Sally said, sharply turning the wheel, forcing Kiara back into the passenger seat. "But right now, there's no time. We have to get you to safety."
"Not so safe," Percy muttered under his breath.
"What was that?" Annabeth asked, turning to him, having caught his muttering.
"Nothing."
"Safety from what? Who's after me?" Percy demanded.
"The real question is, who isn't?" Luke teased, earning disapproving looks from the demigods.
"Shut up," Percy snapped back with disdain.
"Oh, nobody much," Grover replied irritably. "Just the Lord of the dead and a few of his blood-thirstiest minions."
"I didn't send the Minotaur," Hades defended himself, crossing his arms as Percy and Poseidon shot him daggers.
"But you took my mom!" Percy spat, venom in his voice.
"Get over it, nephew," Hades replied indifferently.
"Grover!"
"Sorry, Mrs. Jackson. Could you drive faster, please?" Grover pleaded, casting nervous glances back.
Kiara turned to look at Percy and Grover, a carefree smile on her face.
"I don't think it's the dead guy who's after Percy," she said nonchalantly.
"The dead guy?" Percy repeated, frowning in confusion.
"Your nicknames are terrible, just so you know," Hades complained, crossing his arms like a sulky child.
Persephone smirked and shared a conspiratorial glance with Kiara, who returned the grin playfully.
Without further ado, Kiara returned to her seat as if she hadn't just made a bizarre comment.
"Where are we going?" Percy asked for the umpteenth time.
"The summer camp I told you about," Sally replied. "The place your father wanted to send you."
"The place you didn't want me to go," Percy said suspiciously.
"Why didn't she want you to go?" Hayley asked curiously.
"Because she didn't want to be separated from me," Percy replied, his voice wavering slightly.
Hayley looked at him sadly and nodded silently.
"Please, dear," Sally pleaded. "This is hard enough. Try to understand. You're in danger."
"For some stupid old ladies who cut a thread?" Percy replied skeptically.
Several gods shot him hard looks.
"If you keep talking like that, you won't last long, Jackson," Ares mocked, eyeing him with disdain. Some gods nodded in agreement with the war god.
"He still lasted longer than you," Kiara murmured just loud enough to be heard.
"Did you say something, niece?" Ares asked, raising an eyebrow at her mutter.
Kiara gave him a mischievous smile.
"I said he lasted longer than..." she began, but stopped when Hecate cleared her throat, forcing her to glare at her for interrupting.
"If you keep telling them about the future, I'll have to make you sleep," Hecate warned, giving her a stern look.
"Screw you," Kiara shot back, crossing her arms while ignoring the surprised gasps from the room.
Klaus looked at her, surprised and angry.
"Kiara, apologize to your grandmother," Klaus demanded firmly.
Kiara glared at him and shook her head defiantly.
"I don't have anything to apologize for," she declared resolutely.
Apollo, who had been watching the scene with clear disapproval, decided to intervene.
"Kiara, listen to your father," Apollo commanded, raising his voice.
Kiara deliberately ignored him, turning away with disdain.
Hecate sighed, raising a hand to calm the tension.
"Let her be, Apollo," she said. "Let's continue, and this time without interruptions," she concluded, casting a severe look at the other gods.
"Those weren't old ladies," Grover quickly interjected. "Those were the Fates. Do you know what it meansโthe fact they appeared in front of you? They only do that when you're about to..." Kiara interrupted him with a light cough, "when someone's about to die."
"Whoa. You said 'you,'" Percy said, frowning.
"No, I didn't. I said 'someone,'" Grover defended himself hastily.
"You meant 'you'. As in me!"
"I mean you, like 'someone.' Not you, you."
"Guys!" Sally and Kiara shouted in unison, cutting off the argument.
Suddenly, the car swerved sharply to the right as everyone noticed the Minotaur approaching quickly.
"Mom... it's getting closer!" Percy shouted, pounding on the driver's seat as if that would make the car go faster.
"I know!" Sally replied nervously.
Before they could do anything else, a blinding flash and a sudden explosion shook the car, which was destroyed in an instant.
"That must've hurt," Zeus commented indifferently, barely paying attention to the chaos he had caused.
Kiara and Percy glared at him, ready to lash out, but both Apollo and Poseidon stopped them with warning gestures.
"Ouch!"
"Percy!" Sally screamed, alarmed.
The back door of the Bentley swung open, and Kiara rushed to pull Percy and Grover from the vehicle. Seeing Grover's condition and ensuring Sally and Percy didn't notice, Kiara bit her forearm, bringing the wound to the satyr's mouth to heal him.
"So your blood heals all kinds of wounds?" Athena asked curiously.
Kiara nodded.
"And does it work on all kinds of creatures?" the goddess asked again.
Kiara sighed and nodded once more.
"It even works on you gods," Kiara remarked nonchalantly.
The gods turned to her with curiosity and a hint of arrogance.
"We heal quickly, so why would we need your blood?" Ares asked.
"No, I..." Kiara stumbled over her words, causing Hecate to smirk mockingly. "I meant another kind of function," the daughter of Apollo finished, a slight blush on her cheeks.
"What kind?" Aphrodite asked, raising both eyebrows.
"Well..." Kiara began, stammering.
"And?" Athena pressed.
Kiara shook her head.
"I remembered I can't tell you about the future anymore, so you'll have to wait to find out," the tribrid shrugged.
"Food," Grover moaned, earning a smile from Kiara. The demigoddess draped the satyr's arm over her shoulder and gestured for Percy to help her support him.
"He's going be okay, right?" Percy asked worriedly.
Before Kiara could respond, a lightning bolt illuminated the dark night, revealing the massive creature charging toward them.
"You guys are so lost," Leo said, watching the screen with excitement.
"Don't get too excited about our near-deaths, Sparky," Kiara quipped sarcastically.
"Happy about you dying? Never, babe," replied the son of Hephaestus with a grin.
Kiara rolled her eyes, but a smile appeared on her lips. Luke watched them both with a furrowed brow, and when their eyes met, she smiled wider, enjoying his jealousy.
"There's no time! You have to run!" Sally exclaimed urgently.
"You're coming with us," Percy insisted.
"Sweetheart, do you see that giant tree?" Sally asked, pointing to the massive tree at the end of the hill. "That's the property line. Kiara knows what to do. You'll be safe."
Kiara nodded and tried to move forward with Grover and Percy, but he pulled away from Grover and approached his mother, taking her hand and forcing her to move with them.
"Mom, I'm not leaving you here," Percy declared firmly when Sally hesitated to follow.
"You love her, don't you?" Hera asked softly.
Percy nodded, his eyes shining with love for his mother.
"I wish my children were like you," the goddess of marriage complained, casting a scathing glance at Ares and Hephaestus, who simply rolled their eyes and ignored her.
The monster was getting closer, causing anxiety in Grover, who was still unconscious and murmuring "food" from time to time.
"It's not after me," Sally said. "It's after you. I can't cross the property line."
Kiara seemed about to intervene, but Sally looked at her firmly and shook her head. The daughter of Apollo stepped back sadly next to Grover to give them space.
"She didn't want to be saved..." Percy whispered, realizing that Kiara could have invited her, and then she would be safe.
Kiara looked at Percy sadly and nodded slowly.
"I'm sorry, my love," Sally said, tears welling in her eyes. "I wish I had known how much they wanted to kill you."
The Mikaelson women gasped at the confession on the screen, incredulous at what they were hearing.
"But you're just a kid," Hayley said, her voice harsh.
"I'm still a forbidden child," Percy murmured quietly, though resentment was evident.
"He's right," Thalia said bitterly. "I was only eleven when I was killed because Hades found out my father had broken his oath."
Luke, Annabeth, and Grover looked down, sad. Annabeth and Grover were visibly affected, while Luke tried to calm himself before doing something reckless.
"Eleven?!" Elena exclaimed, while Caroline and Bonnie covered their mouths in shock.
"Age doesn't matter," replied Thalia.
"You gods are really fuck up," Davina said, looking at the gods with disdain.
"Watch your tongue, mortal," Hades threatened, regarding her with contempt as if she were an insect.
"I'm just saying," the witch replied, defiantly challenging a god's threat. "Blaming an innocent girl for her father's actions is foolish," Davina concluded, casting a scornful glance at Marcel and Klaus, who smiled innocently.
Thalia smiled as she saw the woman defending her. She then turned to Hades, raising her eyebrows defiantly.
"Whatever," the god muttered through clenched teeth, gesturing for Hecate to continue.
The goddess nodded with a smile, pleased with the brief spectacle.
"You're so sexy when you challenge the most powerful," Kol whispered in his wife's ear, avoiding interrupting the ongoing conversation. Davina shot him a smile before leaning against the original's chest.
"Mom, I don't want to leave you," Percy whispered, his voice breaking with anguish.
"You have to, sweetheart," Sally replied, flinching as the monster appeared, tearing the car apart in its frantic search.
Kiara grimaced at the scene.
"That one was my favorite!" Rebekah exclaimed, looking at her niece reproachfully.
Kiara smiled apologetically. "I'm sorry, Aunt Bex." she wasn't.
"Percy, you have to go, now!" Sally shouted, her voice rising above the storm.
"No, no. Mom..."
"Perseus! Listen to me," she said, taking his face in her hands and stroking it. "You're not broken. You're singular. You're a miracle," Sally continued, smiling sadly, "and you're my son."
"Mom..." Percy replied, his voice choked, and he threw his arms around her tightly.
Meanwhile, Kiara had set the satyr down near the tree on the hill. Her expression was determined as she walked past the Jacksons.
"Take your time", she said. "It's been months since I gave that bastard a good beating."
"You're going to fight that?" Alicia asked incredulously.
The gods shook their heads, remembering how reckless the demigod could be.
"It was that or ruin a perfect moment between mother and son," Kiara defended herself, crossing her arms.
"And how did that work out for you, hero?" Luke asked seriously.
"Thanks for reminding me," the daughter of Apollo murmured, her tone resigned.
Kiara approached the Minotaur, whistling to get its attention. The beast growled, turning its head in all directions, searching in vain for the source of the sound.
"Right," Kiara mocked. "Deaf and blind."
The gods shook their heads, but a smile appeared on their lips at the laughter of the demigods.
A lightning bolt illuminated the sky just as Kiara clicked her tongue. "Don't worry, dear. You won't have to look for me... I'll come to you."
With a swift motion, Kiara vanished into the shadows, reappearing a second later on the Minotaur's back.
Wrapping her arms around its neck in an attempt to choke it, she knew her strength wouldn't be enough to completely subdue it.
"It's pointless to think you'll achieve anything by just choking him," Ares commented, stroking his chin as he watched the screen with interest.
"It was worth a try," the daughter of Apollo replied.
"You know?" Kiara said, with the wind and rain hitting her face as she struggled with the beast. "You're much bulkier than I remember. And that smell... have you ever heard of perfume?"
"You always talk to your enemies in the middle of a fight?" Marcel asked with a teasing smile.
"Hey! Leave me alone, I'm a compulsive talker!" Kiara defended herself.
The Minotaur roared furiously, shaking violently and causing Kiara to lose her grip. She landed gracefully a few meters away, rolling in the mud before getting back on her feet.
"Okay, plan B is then," she murmured, snapping her fingers.
"Do you have more than one plan?" Annabeth asked, surprised.
"You're not the only one with plans within plans, Annie Boo," Kiara replied, smiling at the sight of Annabeth frowning at the nickname.
From the damp earth at her feet, a small gust of wind rose, swirling around her. The raindrops falling around her began to form into fine needles of water, floating in the air.
"You like the rain?" Kiara asked with a teasing smile, launching the needles at the creature. The droplets hit it like blades, causing it to recoil with a grunt of pain.
"What the hell?" Clarisse exclaimed, frowning.
Some demigods looked curiously at the daughter of Apollo, waiting for an explanation. Fortunately, her dear father was there to speak for her.
"Kiara can control the four elements," Apollo clarified, noticing the curiosity from both his children and the other demigods.
"Is that even possible?" Michael asked, intrigued.
"No, it's not," Kiara replied with a shrug. "At least not all four, but since I'm a witch, I have access to them."
"You're a witch?" Connor and Travis asked in unison.
"Didn't you notice?" Thalia asked. Both Stoll's shook their heads along with the other demigods. "But it's super obvious."
"Very funny," Kiara said, shooting a glare at the daughter of Zeus, who just smiled innocently.
The Minotaur, furious from Kiara's attacks, grabbed her brutally by the waist and lifted her off the ground, causing intense pain to ripple through her body from the pressure.
"Oh, sweetheart..." she murmured through gritted teeth, still smiling despite the pain engulfing her. "I'm sorry, but I'm indestructible."
"You're indestructible?" Kayla asked, intrigued.
Kiara shook her head while looking at her. When her little sister turned her attention back to the screen, the tribrid grimaced.
Furious at her resilience, the beast slammed her into the ground with overwhelming force. The impact was so violent that Kiara struck her head against a rock, and for a moment, her vision blurred to flashes of white and black lights.
"Mm... that really hurt," she murmured, trying to focus as the lights flickered before her eyes.
"You went through everything while I was half-dead," Grover commented, astonished.
"I'm not complaining," Kiara replied with a small smile.
With a swift move, Kiara got to her feet, but she stumbled, pressing a hand to her head. Percy immediately appeared at her side, catching her before she fell.
"You're bleeding," Percy said, concern in his voice.
"Well, Jackson, when you hit your head against a rock, it's to be expected," Kiara teased, leaning her weight on him.
"Even half-dead, you're still mocking me," Percy complained, exhausted.
"Remember what I told you, Perseus," Sally interjected, approaching the two teenagers with a loving look. "Go find a safe place. I'll distract it."
"Your mom is so hot," Apollo remarked, gazing dreamily.
"I thought you were over that, Lester," Percy grumbled, making a face of disgust.
Klaus, Kiara, and Luke laughed at the sight of Percy making faces while Apollo continued to tease him.
"Distract it...? Mom, you're crazy if you think I'm going to let you face that thing alone," Percy said, looking at her seriously.
"Perseus, give me your jacket," Sally ordered, not waiting for a response. Before he could react, she had already taken it off him.
"What are you...?" Percy started to say, but the words caught in his throat as his mother ran toward the monster, waving the red jacket in the air to get its attention.
"Dad is right," Lee said with a teasing smile. "Your mom is hot."
His siblings and the other demigods nodded in agreement, all of them captivated by the sight of a mere mortal mocking the Minotaur.
Percy stood frozen, watching in awe as his mother faced the enormous monster.
A faint sound escaped Kiara's lips, pulling Percy's attention back to her.
"Are you okay?"
"If your mom has no fans, I'm dead," the tribrid joked, smiling as she tried to focus her gaze on the mortal.
Percy shook his head, and they both started climbing the hill. When they reached the top, he left Kiara with the satyr. Percy tried to walk away, but Kiara's hand stopped him.
"Where do you think you're going?"
"You're doomed," Grover teased, relishing the moment.
"And yet, she let me go," Percy replied, sticking out his tongue proudly.
"You took advantage of the fact that I was more asleep than awake," Kiara complained, embarrassed.
"I'm not leaving my mom to fight that thing alone," Percy said, pulling away from his friend's grip.
As he turned, he witnessed the moment the Minotaur seized his mother, lifting her into the air.
"No, no! Mom!" Percy shouted, terrified.
The monster wore what seemed like a smile as it tightened its grip around Sally's neck. With one last glance at Percy, his mother vanished into the air, turning into bright, golden light.
"Nooo!" Percy screamed as the rain poured down fiercely.
He shifted uncomfortably in his seat, feeling the sympathetic glances directed at him.
Kiara, now recovered, quickly turned at Percy's scream, frowning sadly when she didn't see Sally.
Percy's eyes suddenly hardened, shining in the darkness of the night.
"The only pretty thing about you is your eyes," Kiara remarked out of nowhere, grinning as Percy looked at her disapprovingly.
Henrik, watching the scene, smiled, as if he perfectly understood the dynamic between his sister and his best friend.
"Hey, you! Hey!!" Percy shouted as he ran toward the monster. "Hey, jerk! You hunk of ham!"
"Hunk of what?" Ares exclaimed, laughing heartily. He wasn't the only one; everyone around was laughing.
"Dude, your insults are terrible," Grover mocked, joining in the laughter with Kiara and Henrik.
Poseidon's son glanced around the room, his face turning red with embarrassment at seeing everyone laughing at him.
Percy stood in front of the pine tree, vigorously waving the jacket his mother had taken from him just moments earlier. The monster charged forward, arms outstretched to block any escape.
Percy looked around and suddenly had an idea. He jumped up, leaping over the creature's head like it was a trampoline, spun in the air, and landed on its neck.
"I'm not even going to ask how you did that," Silena said with a smile. "You're crazy, Percy Jackson."
The son of Poseidon blushed more from the way the daughter of Aphrodite smiled at him than from the comment about his evident craziness.
In an instant, the monster's head slammed against a tree, nearly knocking Percy's teeth out.
The Minotaur shook violently, trying to throw him off, but Percy held onto its horns to stay on. The beast bucked like a rodeo bull, charging forward without stopping.
"I once rode a bull," Damon suddenly remarked, earning strange looks from his brother and laughter from the demigods.
"I doubt it was anything like that," Percy replied, grinning.
"Not even close," Damon said, returning the demigod's smile.
"Get down!" Kiara shouted worriedly as the Minotaur rushed toward her and Grover.
"Just... one second," Percy replied, gripping the monster's horn and trying to rip it off.
"That's impossible," Ares mocked, shaking his head.
Kiara quickly moved next to Grover, who seemed to have come back to life, both of them watching the demigod with concern.
Crack!
Ares raised his eyebrows, trying to hide his surprise.
"Why are you so surprised, brother? We all know he can also beat you in a fight," Dionysus teased, earning a glare from the god of war.
The Minotaur howled and threw Percy into the air. He landed face-first in the grass, hitting his head against the same rock as Kiara.
"Damn rock," Kiara muttered in frustration.
Dazed and with blurred vision, Percy pushed himself up, noticing he had a splintered piece of horn in his handโa new weapon.
Kiara appeared beside him, looking from the horn fragment to Percy's eyes.
"I was going to help you, but it seems you don't need me," Kiara said with a smile, gesturing for him to finish the job.
"Aren't you supposed to protect us?" Annabeth asked teasingly.
"You said it, Chase. My job is to protect you, not fight your battles," Kiara replied, rolling her eyes.
The Minotaur charged again, not giving Percy time to react, but Kiara saw it and quickly shoved him aside, taking the hit that sent her flying.
"Things one does for love," Kiara said, letting out a tired sigh.
Furious, Percy stood up, and as the monster turned toward him, he plunged the horn into its chest, eliciting a roar of agony. The Minotaur shook violently, clutching its chest, and like sand, it was swept away by the wind.
"That was amazing," Alicia commented with a smile, turning to her cousin. "Is that what you do? Kill monsters?"
Kiara grimaced.
"Percy usually does the dirty work," the tribid shrugged.
Percy wobbled before collapsing to the ground, losing consciousness.
"He's the one. He must be," murmured a girl's voice.
"Silence, Annabeth," replied a deep voice that sounded unsettlingly familiar. "He's still conscious. Bring him inside."
"Who of you carried me?" Percy asked curiously.
"Mm, you'll see," Annabeth replied.
Luke picked him up in his arms as if he were a princess and started carrying him toward the Big House, but halfway there, he stopped.
"I'm sure there were better ways to do this," Percy complained, his cheeks burning.
Luke gave him a teasing smile.
"Where's Kiara?" the demigod asked, prompting Chiron and Annabeth to look around for signs of her.
"Yuju!" Kiara shouted, nimbly jumping from Thalia's tree, landing right in front of Annabeth, who jumped in surprise.
"What were you doing in my tree?" Thalia asked, crossing her arms.
"Where do you think I ended up after that bitch charged at me?" Kiara replied, flashing a falsely sweet smile.
"And what were you doing up there?" Annabeth questioned, raising an eyebrow with curiosity.
"Just checking if any little birds decided to make of your dear friend their home, but it seems they don't like her either," Kiara replied with a teasing smile, passing by the daughter of Athena, clearly enjoying her own joke.
"Your boyfriend does," Thalia defended, forcing a smile.
Kiara rolled her eyes, clearly uninterested in arguing.
"Are you okay?" Luke asked as they both started walking. He carried Percy effortlessly, while Kiara did the same with Grover.
"I just need to sleep," Kiara said, letting out a huge yawn. "It's been a really long day."
Luke let out a soft laugh.
"Well, that's the end," Hecate announced, waving her hand to make the screen disappear with an elegant motion. "See you in the morning."
With those words, the goddess vanished along with the other gods.
"What now?" Luke asked, approaching Kiara with a playful smile. "What do you want to do?"
Kiara's eyes sparkled with mischief. Without giving him a moment to react, she grabbed his arm, and in the blink of an eye, they both vanished into the shadows.
What did you think? Did you guys like it?
Kiara fought the Minotaur, and while she put up a struggle, she didn't offer much resistance. You might wonder why I made her seem a bit "weak." The truth is, I think she should have easily defeated it, but I didn't want to take away Percy's spotlight.
I've read many fanfics where OC's end up doing all the cool things Percy does, and I never liked that. That's why I decided Percy would defeat the Minotaur just like in the books. I promise Kiara will have her moments, but they'll be original scenes.
I HOPE YOU LIKE IT! DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT. SEE YOU SOON! <3
