๐ž๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ. things change, people change

Everyone made the way back to the throne room and took their seats. Some were holding drinks, mainly the vampires who hid the blood in their glasses.

Hecate sat on her throne and brought up the screen again.

"Well, let's continue..." the goddess said, being interrupted by her son.

"Kiara and Apollo are not here yet," Klaus commented, more worried about his daughter than Apollo.

Hecate let out a tired sigh.

"And where, may I ask, are them?"

Klaus shrugged, unsure, which earned him a disapproving look from his mother.

"They're probably in Delos," Luke and Artemis said in unison, turning to look at each other strangely for saying the same thing at the same time.

"Then we'll wait for them. But if they don't hurry, you'll have to go find them yourself," the goddess warned her son. She then made a gesture as if she wanted to make the screen disappear, but eventually left it and stood up.

Klaus, seeing that some demigods and gods were engaged in conversations and his son left with the son of Poseidon, decided to approach his family, who fell into a sudden silence when they saw him arrive, to which the hybrid responded with a roll of his eyes.

"Gossiping about me?" Klaus asked.

Elijah and Freya shook their heads, while Kol and Rebekah nodded, earning reproachful glances from the elders of the family.

Klaus just smiled and sat next to Rebekah, who had made room for him on the couch, leaving everyone in a comfortable silence.

"Can I ask something?" Davina said, breaking the silence.

Kol looked at her strangely.

"You're already doing it, little witch," Klaus mocked, making Davina roll her eyes.

"Very funny. But really," the witch said, "I wanted to ask if you don't find it strange to be... you know..." but stopped before continuing, unsure if she should ask.

"Be what?" Klaus asked, feigning disinterest to annoy his granddaughter-sister-in-law.

They were for sure a weird family.

"You killed Elena Gilbert, didn't you?" By saying that, the witch attracted the attention of some vampires from Mystic Falls who, thanks to their acute hearing, managed to join the conversation.

Klaus blinked, clearly taken by surprise.

"I did," the hybrid replied, nodding slowly. "What's with this sudden curiosity?"

Davina shifted in her seat, causing Kol to look at her in concern, but she just shook her head in agreement.

"Well, Hope did mention that you and the sun god are dating," the witch began with a mischievous grin, "and that would make you... you know, the stepfather of his children."

Klaus nodded, still with a slightly confused expression.

"And Elena said she was the mother of one of your boyfriend's daughters," Davina said, hesitating a little.

Klaus stared at her for a few seconds, but this time with a spark of understanding in his eyes.
"So, you're wondering if I don't find it weird being the stepfather of the daughter of the woman I killed a few years ago?" Klaus asked, earning curious and surprised glances from some gods close to the original family.

Davina's cheeks turned red as a tomato, but she nodded anyway, waiting for the hybrid's answer.

"Sometimes I'd rather ignore the fact that Apollo has daughters with Elena and Caroline for my own sanity," Klaus said, earning amused glances from Kol.

"But he knew who they were when, you know..." Elijah began, blushing as well.

"When he fucked them?" Klaus probed, looking way too entertained for someone talking about how his boyfriend was with other women.

Elena and Caroline choked on their own saliva upon hearing the hybrid's words, while the Salvatore brothers looked like they had been forced to swallow vervain.

Bonnie, Lizzie, and Allison, on the other hand, were completely lost.

Marcel, meanwhile, couldn't hold back his laughter at the look on Elijah's face after the hybrid's words.

"Yes, he did know," Klaus replied once Marcel stopped laughing. "In fact, that was the main reason he did it."

Elena and Caroline frowned, exchanging glances.

The Originals looked at their brother with compassion, but he began to shake his head as he noticed that they pitied him.

"I deserved it," Klaus said, letting out a chuckle. "I chose Camille over him and... well, you know how gods are."

Now his siblings were looking at him disapprovingly.

"You're an idiot," Hayley said.

Klaus was about to answer her when Apollo and Kiara appeared, holding hands and avoiding everyone's curious gazes.

"What are you looking at?" Apollo asked angrily, though everyone noticed his voice was cracked. "You rushed us for something, didn't you?" he said, looking at Hecate pleadingly, and the goddess seemed to notice something as she looked between him and Kiara, to which he nodded.

"Okay, are you ready?" he asked, still looking worriedly at Apollo, who didn't even spare a glance to his family and summoned his own couch for himself and Kiara, who hadn't said a single word since they arrived.

The goddess nodded and turned on the screen when she saw everyone nodding.

Kiara and Grover were in a coffee shop, staring at each other without blinking, with no sign of Percy around.

"Where were you?" Poseidon asked worriedly.

Percy tried to lock eyes with Kiara, but frowned when he saw her hiding in Apollo's chest, eyes closed. His gaze went to the sun god, who looked at him seriously and shook his head.

Poseidon's son nodded slowly and gave his father a fake smile.

"You'll see."

"I was only gone for two seconds, Grover! Two seconds!" Kiara suddenly shouted, startling the satyr and the mortals around her.

Grover started to sweat and looked at her in fear.

Kiara sighed and seemed to be counting to ten to keep her patience.

"What was the last thing he said to you?" she asked, roughly grabbing her drink and taking a sip.

"Idiot! She almost killed me because of you," Grover complained, looking at Percy with feigned hatred.

"You left?" Annabeth shouted, ignoring his mother's disapproving look.

Percy closed his eyes in pain as he heard her scream and just nodded.

"You're so stupid," Thalia said, mocking her cousin.

"He said he was going to the bathroom, I was going to follow him but he said it would be weird if we both went together." Grover let out a groan and covered his eyes with both hands as he heard the growl Kiara let out.

The satyr's gaze suddenly traveled to the mortals, who were trying to fan themselves with their hands.

"Since when can we control the weather?" Allison asked in confusion.

Apollo looked at her strangely.

"You can't," he said obviously.

The gods nodded, agreeing with him.

"Then how is Kiara doing it?" Allison asked again.

The sun god shrugged, not knowing how to answer her without making all of his children feel bad.

"Kiara, you're going to burn us all alive if you keep this up," Grover scolded, causing Apollo's daughter to look around and notice the steam in the air.

Rolling her eyes, she pulled out a hundred dollar bill and left it on the table before standing up.

"Let's go find him," Kiara said, taking Grover's hand when he didn't move.

"Did you just pay for two drinks with a hundred fucking dollars?" Chris asked, incredulous.

Kiara raised her head, noticing that the demigods were looking at her as if she were a weirdo.

"I almost killed them, it was only fair that I paid them well. Besides, it was nothing," she answered, shrugging.

"East One-hundred-and-fourth and First," Percy told the driver as he got into the cab.

Connor and Travis began to whisper to each other, which made Percy shake his head.

"No, no. Don't even think about it," Percy said, looking at both brothers.

"What are you talking about, Perce?" Connor asked with a mischievous smile.

"Yes, Percy. What are you talking about?" Travis asked this time.

"You know what? I actually don't care. I don't even live there anymore," the demigod said, scoffing.

The Stolls groaned and hung their heads in disappointment, as their future fun pranks were now ruined.

"Where do we go now?" Grover asked, looking around paranoidly.

Kiara fell silent.

"Kiara?" Grover called. "Where are we going?"

"I'm thinking. Shut up," the original replied tiredly.

"Wait, was that the day that...?" Rebekah couldn't finish because her niece interrupted her.

"Yeah, yeah. No spoilers, Auntie Bex," Kiara said quickly, earning an amused look from her family.

"Are you done thinking?" Grover asked after counting to sixty.

"You're so impatient," Kiara complained, annoyed.

"Leave me alone, I was worried about Percy," Grover said with his cheeks flushed from the Stolls' teasing.

"We need a car, Grover," Kiara said, as she started walking.

The satyr stood in the same place, making Kiara roll her eyes and turn around to force him to walk with her.

"So what, are we going to steal it? 'Cause I need to remind you that neither of us has one," Grover said, trying to keep up with his friend.

"What? No, that would be like making an offering to Hermes, and I swore to never do it again," Kiara muttered hatefully.

"It's not fair," Hermes complained, looking with puppy eyes at his niece.

"Does it hurt you? I love it," Kiara mocked, with a big smile.

Apollo shook his head, hopeless.

"What's wrong with Dad?" Connor asked, looking curiously at his brother's girlfriend.

Suddenly, the ceiling became too interesting for Hermes and Kiara, both determined to ignore the demigod's question.

"I still don't understand what happened between you and Lord Hermes," the satyr began. "You two used to be likeโ€”really close."

"That's true," Ares said, stroking his beard as he reminisced. "They liked to play pranks on Father and Athena."

Both Father and daughter blinked like broken dolls as they recalled those two's pranks.

"Really?" Clarisse asked, moving her head in confusion. "But I remember that every time they saw each other at camp, it felt like they were going to tear each other's heads off."

Apollo and Ares laughed at Clarisse's words, and even more so when Hermes glared at them.

"You're not so wrong, girl," Artemis mocked, causing strange looks, as it was not common to see her so different from the serious hunter she always pretended to be at camp.

"What do they mean?" Luke asked Kiara, who looked somewhere between amused and embarrassed. She avoided answering her boyfriend and motioned for Hecate to continue.

"Things change, people change," Kiara said, ending the topic.

Grover nodded and was left with a confused expression when Kiara quickly grabbed his hand.

"What are you...?" But before he could finish, the change around him interrupted him. The satyr made a face as if he was going to vomit, and he did.

"It always happens," Kiara said, laughing.

"W-What was that?" Grover asked, recovering.

"Why didn't the same thing happen to you?" Annabeth asked Luke.

Luke shrugged, unconcerned.

"I'm used to it now," he replied.

"Shadow travel. Don't worry, G, you'll get used to it," Kiara assured him, leading them towards a building.

"I thought only the children of Hades could do it," Grover commented, looking around suspiciously. "You still haven't told me where we're going."

"Getting a car is too complicated," Kiara explained. "So we'll ask my aunt for hers... borrowed."

"Yeah, sure, borrowed," Marcel mocked.

"Hey! You two wouldn't stop talking and we had a higher priority than hearing about your failed wedding plans," Kiara complained, throwing a reproachful look at her aunt and brother.

"Fuck, yeah. Bex did rejected you," Kol said mockingly to his brother-in-law.

"Shut your mouth, Kol," Rebekah growled at him, her vampire eyes faintly appearing.

Kol raised his hands in a sign of peace.

"Sorry for being curious, sis."

"What floor does your aunt live on?" Grover asked as he stepped into the elevator, surprised that it didn't stop.

"My aunt is very picky; of course she would choose the penthouse over a regular apartment," Kiara replied with a tired sigh, snapping her fingers.

She hated elevators.

"Ha! Your own niece calls you picky, there must be a reason, huh?" Damon scoffed, but then put his hands on his head, groaning in pain.

"Think twice before making fun of my sister, you idiot," Freya threatened with a smug smile.

Stefan eyed his brother mockingly.

A blonde woman opened the door, wearing only an elegant silk dress and her hair up.

Grover gaped at the sight of her.

"Watch it, Grov. I think you drooled a little," Luke said, mocking the satyr.

Most of the demigods and gods laughed as they watched the satyr blush brightly when Kiara's aunt winked at him.

"Hope!" Rebekah exclaimed, rushing to hug her niece tightly. Kiara smiled half-heartedly, patting her aunt on the back.

"She's just as surly as Nik," Rebekah complained as she saw how uncomfortable Kiara looked.

Percy walked down the hallway of the building where he lived, greeting the lady who lived across from his apartment.

"You lived there?" Amphitrite asked Percy, with a grimace of disgust at seeing the poor condition of the building. She wasn't the only one as all the gods looked at each other with displeasure.

"Yeah, well, it seems you gods forget that not every mortal you sleep with is a millionaire," Percy muttered, trying to hide his displeasure without success.

The room fell into a sudden silence, no demigod daring to look at his parents, who looked uncomfortable.

"Percy..." Poseidon said in a soft tone, but his face turned into a grimace of surprise when he saw the look of hatred his son gave him.

"Can we move on, please?" Percy pleaded to the goddess of magic. "There are more important things to talk about than the bad condition I lived in thanks to that big damn ego you guys have."

Hermes and Apollo gasped, looking at each other between amused and somewhat offended.

"Mind your tongue, Perseus," Zeus warned the spawn of his brother.

"Or what?" Kiara asked. "Are you going to try to kill him again?" Zeus' eyes blinked and the smell of ozone filled the room, but Kiara didn't even care. "It would be wise to remember that you are forbidden to hurt any demigod in my presence."

Both Greeks and Romans looked at each other, uncomfortable with the aura surrounding the gods and Kiara.

"You would do well to remember your place, daughter of Apollon," Hades threatened her, but this time speaking in ancient Greek.

All the Olympians, except Hestia and Apollo, glared at Kiara, trying to scare her and make her obey, but she only looked at them mockingly.

"I think it would be prudent for you to remember that I come from the future and I know what happens to each of you," Kiara said. "And let me tell you that..." she stopped, licking her lips, as if the memory of the gods' fate caused her exquisite pleasure. "I relished every moment dancing upon your ashes."

The originals looked at each other, surprised and worried about their niece, while the Greek demigods tried to understand what Apollo's daughter had said, failing in the attempt.

"That's enough, Kiara," exclaimed Hecate, surprised that her granddaughter had said too much.

The Olympians blinked, looking at her in horror.

"What are you...?" Athena asked, but Hecate shook her head, continuing with the chapter and forcing the gods to sit back down and forget the subject.

However, that wasn't the case as everyone was deep in conversation in their minds, some casting sidelong glances at Kiara who looked far too amused by their reactions. Maybe being forced to see the future wasn't so bad after all.

Percy entered his apartment, only to find a monsterโ€”I mean, his stepfatherโ€”sitting there playing poker with his friends.

"So, you're home," the man said without looking up.

"Where's my mother?" Percy asked, looking disdainfully at the being posing as a person.

"Working," Gabe replied. "You got cash?"

Everyone gaped at how the mortal asked Percy for money, who was just a child.

"Why would he ask you for money?" Hestia asked, visibly upset. "You're just a child."

Percy let out a sarcastic laugh.

"Some people tend to forget that, Lady Hestia," the demigod said, throwing defiant glances at the gods, not hiding his contempt.

"I don't have any," Percy replied.

Gabe raised an eyebrow, looking disgusting as always.

"You took a taxi from the bus station," he said. "Probably paid with a twenty. Got six or seven bucks in change. Somebody expects to live under this roof, he ought to carry his own weight. I am right, Eddie?"

"Who does that asshole think he is?" Thalia growled, glaring at the screen.

She wasn't the only one, as all the demigods were outraged on Percy's behalf.

"I'm going to enjoy taking his soul to the punishment fields," Thanatos commented with a macabre smile.

Percy just smiled at him, grateful.

Eddie looked at Percy with a flash of sympathy.

"Come on, Gabe," he said. "The kid just got here."

"Am I right?" Gabe repeated, looking at him seriously.

Eddie scowled into his bowl of pretzels. The other two guys passed gas in harmony.

"They're disgusting!" Aphrodite complained disdainfully.

"They're men, what did you expected?" Artemis sneered, eliciting laughter and nods from everyone in the room. The men, realizing her words, looked at her in affront, but the goddess didn't even care.

"Fine," Percy said to Gabe, pulling a few dollars out of his pocket and tossing them on the table. "I hope you lose."

"Your report card came, brain boy!" Gabe exclaimed as I turned around. "I wouldn't act so snooty!"

"Percy..." Annabeth began, looking at him guiltily.

"No, don't worry, Annie," Percy replied with a soft smile, though his eye twitched a little. If Annabeth hadn't been paying attention to her friend's every grimace, she wouldn't have noticed.

The daughter of Athena nodded, but as she locked eyes with Kiara, who was watching her seriously, she realized that the nickname really affected him.

During the next break, she promised herself to corner Percy and apologize.

Percy slammed the door into his room, left his suitcase on the bed, and looked around, noticing how messy and dirty everything was.

"Percy?" a woman's voice called, causing Percy to turn around quickly. He saw the door open and his mom walk in with a smile.

"Ladies, gentlemen, and... gods," Thalia announced with a radiant smile. "Allow me to introduce you to the mother of demigods and huntresses, Sally Jackson."

The Greeks began to whistle and push Percy, who smiled with flushed cheeks.

"What do you mean huntresses?" Artemis asked Thalia, intrigued.

"Well, I once took them to her house to try her food and since then the girls proclaimed her as their mother along with Lady Leto," Thalia explained, smiling even more at the mention of the titaness.

Apollo and Artemis's eyes sparkled at hearing Leto's name, but they weren't the only ones.

Kiara and Henrik quickly turned to Hecate with pleading eyes.

"I don't think I can..." the goddess of magic hesitated, trying to avoid the gazes of her grandchildren, since all gods and goddesses were actually vulnerable to them. In the end, the younger twins won and Hecate nodded before disappearing without saying a word.

"Where did she go?" Hera asked Kiara with curiosity and a hint of distrust.

Kiara smiled innocently, without saying a word.

Hecate soon appeared with the titaness of motherhood at her side, and upon entering the room, the atmosphere immediately changed. Kiara and Henrik did not hesitate to run to hug her, and she quickly reciprocated.

Leto hesitated for a second upon seeing Henrik in his older form, but when she meet with his eyes and Artemis's, she knew without a doubt that he was her grandson.

"Mother!" Apollo exclaimed, almost screaming in joy at the sight of her. He ran to hug her along with Artemis. The Mikaelson twins groaned as they were effortlessly pushed away from their grandmother.

Klaus shook his head, watching the other children of Apollo who looked with envy and longing at the twins. The original sighed reluctantly as he shook his head.

He hoped he could change that before he left.

"Well, now, no interruptions," Hecate said, giving her granddaughter an intense look, who only smiled gratefully.

Artemis guided Leto to sit next to her, earning three murderous glances from the eldest sun and his little suns. But as always, Artemis didn't give a damn.

Sally hugged Percy so tightly that it seemed she was afraid he would faint at any moment. "I can't believe it. You've grown since Christmas!"

"Why do they always say that?" Alicia asked, rolling her eyes.

"Yeah, really, I don't understand why. We don't change a bit!" Will said, laughing.

"But you do for us," Hayley assured, smiling at all the children present.

"Hey, Sallyโ€”how about some bean dip, huh?" Gabe shouted from outside the room, interrupting the sweet, peaceful moment between mother and son.

"And the bitch went on and on," Leo said with contempt, already fed up with the unpleasant man Percy had as a stepfather.

"I feel like killing him," Annabeth commented casually, earning surprised glances from her mother. "Oh, come on, Mom. He obviously deserves it."

Sally ignored him, and Percy took it as a cue to tell her about his last days at the academy, stopping just before mentioning Mrs. Dodds.

"What?" Sally asked worriedly. "Did something scare you?"

"No, Mom."

Sally pursed her lips, as if she knew Percy was hiding something, but she didn't press him.

"I have a surprise for you," she said. "We're going to the beach."

"Montauk?" Percy asked, excited.

"Are the two of you still going?" Poseidon inquired of his son, his gaze distant.

Percy nodded, shifting uncomfortably under Amphitrite's stare.

"Three nightsโ€”same cabin," Sally said with a smile.

"Now?" Percy asked, shifting excitedly.

Sally nodded. "As soon as I changed."

Gabe appeared in the doorway, looking at them seriously. "Bean dip, Sally? Didn't you hear me?"

Women and goddesses alike glared at the fat man on the screen, all wishing they could beat the shit out of him like there was no tomorrow.

"If you don't take care of him, I will," Artemis warned Poseidon with a stern look.

The sea god nodded and glanced surreptitiously at Kiara, looking for a sign that he had handled the situation. Kiara, noticing his gaze, smiled widely and nodded.

"Percy and I are leaving for Montauk," Sally replied to Gabe." I'll... I'll have the car back by Sunday morning."

"Since when are you going to Montauk?" Gabe asked, his eyes narrowing.

"I don't understand how she can be with thatโ€”thing," Aphrodite complained.

Most of them nodded silently, agreeing with the goddess but not saying anything out of respect for Percy.

"She did it to protect me," Percy defended his mother, although a part of him knew he could never forgive her for that.

"His scent?" Athena asked, daring Percy to correct her.

The son of Poseidon just nodded, avoiding the goddess's eyes. He still remembered his last conversation with her.

"I called to reserve the place as soon as I got off the phone with Yancy," Sally replied tiredly.

"Well," Gabe said, "and why exactly am I okay with this?"

"I knew it," Percy muttered listlessly. "He won't let us go."

"I hate him and I don't even know him," Jason complained.

Percy smiled kindly at him, making Jason blush and clear his throat, looking everywhere but at the son of Poseidon.

Henrik's gaze fell between them, suspiciously.

"Because on my way home on Sunday, I'm gonna stop at D'Angelo's and pick up sandwiches in time for tipoff," Sally began almost shouting, "but if you make this miserable, I'm gonna go anyway and then I'm gonna eat my sandwich and yours while I listen to the game on the radio."

"You know I hate watching the Knicks alone," Gabe complained like a little kid.

"So do I!" Sally shouted.

Percy looked between them in confusion, looking completely lost... as always.

"You were so little," Kiara murmured tenderly as she saw her friend.

Percy glared at her, knowing she was making fun of his height.

"Take your shoes off before you get in my car," Gabe warned Percy, pointing at him with his finger.

Percy looked at him as if he were a weirdo.

"Well, pack your bag, honey. There's a horrible storm out there, and it's getting angrier, so let's get ahead of it," Sally said as she picked up her own bag and car keys.

"And of course that storm is being created by the drama queen," Hades sneered with a malicious smile.

Zeus just gave him a look that said "if you continue, I'm going to electrocute you."

"So what brings you here, sweetie?" Rebekah asked, settling down on her plush couch.

Kiara sighed and muttered "it's a long story" before disappearing down the hall.

Grover watched her, unsure of what to do. He fidgeted nervously as the blonde focused her attention on him.

"So you're friends with my niece?" Rebekah asked nicely.

Grover nodded, slowly sitting down on the couch.

"Yes, I mean... yes, ma'am," Grover stammered, distracted by the woman's beauty.

"He made me feel so old," Rebekah muttered regretfully.

"You're old, Bex," Kol said mockingly.

"Go to hell, Kol," the original yelled at him, throwing a pillow at him.

Some demigods snickered as they watched Kiara's aunt, with perfect aim, hit her brother in the head.

Rebekah was about to complain about the satyr calling her 'ma'am' when Kiara came down the hall with Marcel.

"I found some chocolate," Kiara said, with a fake smile.

"Some racist joke," Hermes whispered, but everyone heard him.

"You shut up," Kiara growled at her uncle.

"The most delicious chocolate," the original said playfully as she pulled Marcel in for a kiss.

Grover's eyes widened, not knowing where to look, while Kiara rolled her eyes and cleared her throat to get the two vampires' attention.

"Don't cause trauma to my daughter, Rebekah," Klaus scolded, looking disappointedly at his sister and Marcel.

Hecate let out an amused sound and when everyone turned to look at her curiously, she just shook her head with a smile, looking at Kiara mockingly.

"Okay, that's enough," Kiara said. "I need you two to help me with something."

They both broke away from the kiss and looked at her with mischievous smiles.

"Do forgive us, Kie, but we're rather enjoying our freedom, you see? Not having your father constantly watching over us is quite the relief," Marcel said, sitting next to Rebekah and draping an arm around her back.

"It's been years since that," Kiara said, making a disgusted face. "And you're still on your honeymoon, though I don't see any rings yet."

The two vampires' faces twisted at the tribrid's words.

"I should've spared that comment," Kiara said regretfully.

"Actually..." Grover commented, but made a gesture of closing his mouth with a zipper and throwing away the key when he saw the dark look that the daughter of Apollo gave him.

"So, who's hungry?" Rebekah asked through clenched teeth. "I made cookies."

Kiara raised an eyebrow and made herself more comfortable on the couch, not noticing Grover's gestures.

"What are you hiding, Auntie Bex?" Kiara asked, taking one of the cookies she had stolen from the kitchen.

"I proposed to her and she rejected me," Marcel replied, not wanting to dwell on the matter.

Grover quickly looked at the three of them and began to bite his nails when he saw the dark expression on Kiara's aunt's face.

"Poor kiddo, got caught up in the Mikaelson drama," Damon commented, feigning compassion for the satyr.

"Oh, yeah?" Kiara said, arching her eyebrows in interest.

"She's just as gossipy as her father," Thanatos mocked.

"You offend me, Thani," Klaus said, bringing a hand to his chest and pretending to be hurt.

"You'll get over it, Niki," Eris soothed, with a playful smile.

The Olympians watched the interaction with curiosity, as Apollo's lover seemed far too comfortable with Nyx's children.

"I remember Dad saying your biggest dream was to get married," Kiara commented, confused. "I feel like I'm missing something."

"That makes two of us," Marcel replied in a reproachful tone.

Kiara was about to retort, but Grover kicked her foot, making her spin quickly, annoyed.

"Kiara, we have to find Percy, remember? We came here during the day and it's already night!" the satyr whispered, looking uncomfortably at the couple who were starting to argue.

The demigoddess turned her gaze to the large windows and finally realized that her friend was right; it was already night.

"Time goes by so fast these days," Kiara commented, as if she were an old lady.

Kiara set her gaze on both vampires, who didn't even notice them, too wrapped up in their conversation about whose fault it was that they didn't get married.

"It doesn't count as an offering to Hermes if I just borrow it," Kiara muttered to herself, as if it were a mantra.

"Your hatred towards my existence is overrated," Hermes complained, crossing his arms in indignation.

"My hatred is justified, dear uncle," Kiara replied seriously.

Kiara led Grover towards the elevator again, pressing the button that would take them to the parking garage.

"So..." Grover began. "Are we going to steal it?"

Kiara looked at him with blinking eyes like a broken doll. "I told you we're not, Grover! We're just borrowing it."

"But I don't think we can return it if we cross a monster," the satyr commented hesitantly.

"So that's what happened to my beautiful Bentley? Did he cross a monster?" Rebekah asked sadly.

Kiara, Percy, and Grover grimaced, refusing to answer the blonde.

Kiara was silent for a few seconds before shrugging.

"They're rich, I'm sure they won't miss it," she said as she pulled out the car keys from her jacket and pressed the button to locate it.

When they found the car, Kiara's eyes sparkled and she quickly reached over to pet it.

"It's the new Bentley Continental GT," Kiara murmured adoringly, earning amused glances from Grover. "It has a 6.0-liter W12 engine, 552 horsepower, and can reach a top speed of 198 mph."

"Let me guess, you have an obsession with cars?" Lizzie asked boredly.

Percy laughed. "When we went looking for the di Angelo's we visited them and, damn, they have THE collection of cars."

"Too bad they belong to her parents," Thalia said, remembering Kiara's words.

Klaus and Apollo looked at her confused.

"What are you talking about?" Apollo asked his sister's lieutenant.

"She said that those cars belonged to you and that's why we used the "oldest" one," Thalia said, making quotation marks with her fingers because the "oldest" for Kiara was a damn gold-plated Rolls-Royce.

"It's her collection," Klaus stated with a mischievous smile. "I'm not that much of a fan, and Apollo can have whatever car he wants with the sun chariot."

"So..." Thalia tried to say something, but stopped herself to throw a reproachful look at Kiara for lying to them.

"You guys wouldn't believe me if I told you they were mine," Kiara replied, shrugging as if it were no big deal.

"So all those cars are yours?" Annabeth asked, surprised.

Kiara nodded.

"Where do you get so much...? You know what, I better not ask, you're literally the favorite daughter of a god," said Percy, not bothering to elaborate further.

"A fanatic?" Grover asked, settling into the passenger seat.

"We girls have our hobbies," Kiara said. "Some go shopping, others read books... Me? I collect cars," she concluded, putting on her sunglasses even though it was almost midnight.

"It's like Apollo cloned himself when he created you," said Artemis, shaking her head hopelessly.

"Engine start," Kiara said, and the car started up with a magnificent sound. Kiara gaped. "I thought that only happened in the movies."

Grover shook his head in amusement as he fastened his seatbelt.

"Good thing I put it on," Grover said, laughing.

Thalia, Percy, and Annabeth remembered their trip with the daughter of Apollo and laughed too, still feeling like their souls had left their mouths.

Kiara floored the accelerator and the car shot down the road. The demigoddess giggled excitedly and looked at Grover, who was staring at the roof of the car as if he were praying.

"Cut the drama, Grover. We're not even going that fast."

The satyr looked out the window and let out a sound as he watched them dodge the other cars with ease.

"Do you know where Percy is?" Grover suddenly asked.

Kiara nodded. "His mother said they'd be in Montauk."

"She told you?" Percy asked, confused.

"Well, duh. We were supposed to protect you," Kiara replied.

Suddenly, the car shook from a bolt of lightning that struck just inches from them. When Grover glanced back out of pure chance, the color drained from his face.

"What...what's wrong, Grov?" Kiara asked, her eyes still fixed on the road.

"It's the... the..." the satyr stammered before fainting.

Offscreen, Grover covered his face with both hands, dying of embarrassment.

Kiara looked worriedly at the satyr. Seeing no cars in front of her, she quickly looked back to find out what had scared her friend so much.

She didn't see anything at first, but a bolt of lightning lit up the landscape and then she saw it. Her eyes widened.

"You've got to be kidding me," Apollo's daughter growled, not hesitating to step on the accelerator.

"I never catch a break in this damn family," Kiara complained.

"Get over it, Kiara," Athena told her, rolling her eyes.

Percy and Sally were standing by a campfire, roasting sausages and marshmallows. Sally was telling him about her childhood and the books she would one day write.

"So are you going to tell me what's wrong?" Sally asked, noticing Percy's thoughtfulness.

"I...," Percy said, not knowing where to start.

"It's okay, honey. You can tell me," Sally assured him with a sweet smile.

"Every part of her screams mama bear," Leto commented to Percy, smiling warmly at him.

The titaness then turned to Hayley with a smile. "As do you, honey."

The hybrid blushed all the way to her ears, muttering a "thank you" under her breath.

"I'm used to feeling weird," Percy began. "I'm used to the world feeling weird to me."

"Welcome to the club, Jackson," the Stoll brothers sang along with other demigods.

Kiara smiled, looking at them with pity as she saw that the only way to get through so much trauma was to joke about it.

"I try to pay attention," Percy assured, his voice breaking a little. "I really try, Mom."

Sally nodded, looking at him sadly.

"But... then I'm daydreaming. I can't help it."

"Life would be easier if we weren't demigods," Clarisse commented, speaking seriously for the first time.

Every demigod, Greek and Roman alike, nodded, agreeing with the daughter of Ares.

No god dared to say anything as they saw the lost looks on their children's faces.

"But... lately it hasn't felt like daydreaming," Percy continued, hesitating a little as he saw his mom start staring at him. "It's felt... I don't know. More real, maybe?"

Percy shook his head. "And then we were at the museum, and..."

"You saw something," Sally interrupted, immediately catching Percy's attention.

When he didn't answer, she continued. "Something that felt real to you, but no one else could see?"

"Do you think Chiron told her about that?" Grover asked Percy, intrigued.

"I don't know. I guess he did," the son of Poseidon replied, shrugging.

"What did she say you?" Sally asked after an awkward silence. Thunder rumbled as Percy turned to her suspiciously.

"And everything went to shit," Percy muttered, low enough for only those close to him to hear, including his father, who scolded him with a look for the language.

"She? How do you know it was a she?" Percy asked.

"Mothers know everything, Percy," Drew said with a half-smile, clearly mocking.

Percy smiled back in the same way.

Sally shook her head regretfully, closing her eyes. "Do you know why we come to this cabin every year?"

"I don't know," Percy said, pretending to be thinking. "Oh, wait, I remember now," he smiled along with Kiara. "We're going to remember the father who abandoned me before I was born."

Everyone looked awkwardly between the demigod and his father, who seemed to want to drown every living thing in the room.

"Perseus, now is not the time," Amphitrite scolded her stepson.

Percy nodded, stopping laughing along with Kiara, who stared emotionlessly at the sea goddess.

"Because it's near the septic tanks, so it's cheap," Percy replied, fidgeting. "Mom, how do you know about that thing I saw?"

"We come to this place every year because this is the place where I met your father," Sally admitted quickly, waiting for Percy's reaction.

Percy looked at her seriously.

"My dad? What does my dad have to do with this?" he asked his mother.

"Little did he know he has everything to do with it," Percy mocked his younger self.

Sally gasped, her eyes turning glassy as she brushed a strand of hair out of Percy's face and left her hand there, caressing it.

"A long time ago, I... met a man, here on the beach," Sally began, gasping for air. "He was wise and brave and kind and... noble."

The gods let out mocking laughs, watching as the sea god's cheeks turned golden.

"What kind of lie did you sell the poor woman?" Athena scoffed, not believing the words she had just heard from Jackson's mother.

"From the moment I first saw him, I knew that..." Sally paused for a few seconds, "that I had never met a man like him before."

Percy looked at her intently.

"And then I realized that he was unlike any man I had ever met before..." Sally continued, closing her eyes for a moment. "Because hโ€”he wasn't a man at all. He was a... god."

"Kaboom!" Leo shouted, his hands alight with flames. "That is how you tell your kid that he is the son of a god."

Percy shook his head, remembering what was coming next and hating to know the mockery that was about to eat him alive.

Percy looked at her in confusion.

"You fell in love with God? Like... like Jesus?" he asked, grimacing.

There was a small second of silence before everyone burst into laughter, including the gods who didn't even take it as an offense. For Perseus Jackson's stupidity knew no bounds.

"Didn't you know?" Kiara asked when everyone calmed down, including her who wiped away her tears of amusement. "His real name is Perseus Messiah Jackson."

She earned laughter again from all the demigods who approached Percy and knelt down as if he were the actual Jesus.

"Lord Perseus, show us your great power by dividing the red sea again," Thalia said, letting out mocking laughs.

Annabeth stopped laughing and turned to look at her in confusion. "But that was Moses..."

Everyone stopped praising Percy to look between Annabeth and Thalia attentively, until both demigoddesses burst out laughing again.

"I got it, okay?! I'm an idiot. Now, stop or I'll drown you," said the son of Poseidon. Hearing this, everyone quickly returned to their seats, although they couldn't help but keep the smiles on their faces.

"No, Percy, not God, a god," Sally began, taking his hands. "The stories...that I have told you about Greek gods and heroes and monsters, they are real."

"Mom..."

"In those stories, I have told you about how gods and mortals would sometimes have children together..."

"Mom, please, stop," Percy said, but Sally ignored him and continued.

Percy looked at her with eyes full of confusion. "That's what the monster called me. Mom, what is happening?"

"You're a half-blood, Percy. And half-bloods are not safe in the world."

"Shout it louder for the people in the back," Thalia exclaimed, staring at the gods openly.

"It's always been a part of who you are, It was always coming, I just..." Sally tried to say, but Percy interrupted her by standing up abruptly.

"No, this is crazy. Okay? I am not a god, Mom," Percy cried. "There is something wrong with my brain."

Suddenly, everyone forgot the joy from a few minutes ago and looked at Percy with pity. Some demigods understood what he felt, remembering their own experiences.

"I understand that I'm weird, believe me, I get it," Percy continued, his voice breaking, "but I'm afraid something may be really broken now."

"Percy..." Henrik said, looking at his friend sadly.

"Just... let's get this over with, please," the demigod pleaded, avoiding looking at anyone.

Henrik didn't hesitate and sat next to him. Within seconds, Kiara and Grover joined in, hugging him and shielding him from the gazes of the others.

Klaus motioned for Hecate to continue quickly.

The sound of knocking on the door interrupted the conversation between mother and son. Sally grabbed a bat and slowly approached.

"Mom, what are you...?" Percy asked, interrupting himself when Sally opened the door and Kiara and Grover walked in, ducking their heads just in time before Sally hit them.

Kiara didn't hesitate to give Percy a smack before hugging him tightly.

"Idiot! You had us worried," Kiara yelled at him.

Percy smirked, still trapped in a sandwich hug by his best friends.

"Sally, we have to go," Grover called to the woman, looking at her with concern.

Percy stopped paying attention to Kiara's scolding and looked at his best friend's... legs?

"Grover... where the fuck did your legs go?" Percy exclaimed, pointing at the satyr's hooves.

"He knows his priorities," Alicia said with a smile.

Grover looked at himself and then looked between Sally and Percy. "You haven't told him yet... nevermind, we don't have time. Come on, come on."

Sally grabbed Percy's jacket and pushed the three children out the door, getting into Kiara's car without thinking when she saw it coming.

"And that's the end," Hecate said, exhausted. "But we'll see another one, so you better get some food or something to entertain yourselves."

Everyone followed her words, settling in different ways and summoning food.

I'm back, yayyy!

I'm really sorry for the wait, but I've just started my last year of school and the nerves got to me, affecting my inspiration.

As compensation, I wrote this really long chapter... but honestly, I didn't even notice, it just flowed, and wow, 7k words in a single chapter is WILD!

ANYWAYS, HOPE YOU LIKE IT AND ENJOY IT. PLS DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT <3
