24 | Rich as Hell
"Mina you are such a wuss man." Kianna braided the end of her last braid, staring at Amina through the bedroom mirror while she cried. She was on her period and still so emotional over the fact that she wasn't an aunt anymore. When she went to see Kianna at the hospital, she cried then too, but they were talking about it again and it broke her heart for the second time.
Kianna was so grateful to have people around that genuinely cared about her and the little family she was so close to having. She honestly couldn't wait to finish healing and to wrap this situation up with her father because she would purposely be trying for another baby with Judah. She now wanted one more than ever.
"Ugh. I'm sorry. I just can't even imagine-you go through so much, and you're still smiling, you know? I wish I could make everything perfect for you 'cause you don't deserve any of this." Amina shook the can of mousse, and Kianna smiled at her, tilting her head to the side.
"Thank you best friend. I'm okay though, I promise. Stop crying girl." She chuckled, leaning forward so that Amina could rub the mousse in on the end of her braids as well.
The two of them had just finished up with extra small thigh length knotless braids, and Amina did most of the work as far as the parting and actual braiding, but Kianna helped her braid the ends so that they could finish quicker. The end result came out so cute.
She didn't know if she'd be able to keep up with the dramatic baby hairs that Amina gave her though. She'd always been hard on her hair which is why she just wore tape ins because they were low maintenance and she never had to do anything to it, but she'd attempt to keep these braids up for a good little minute.
"I love you so much sista. These so cute on you. I wish I had a head like you 'cause literally every hairstyle eats down." Amina began to clean up her bedroom, running her hand in a circle on the ground to pick up loose hair strands from her carpet.
"I love you too girl. Thank you. It's really you that make my hairstyles eat. You can't be fucked with in this hair shit." Kianna told her, and Amina swiped underneath her chin to say 'period'.
"You ready to go?" Kianna asked when they were done restoring Amina's bedroom to how it was before they started on her hair.
Although Amina always refused payment when she did Kianna's hair, Kianna usually still gave her money anyway. This time though, Kianna would be treating her to a shopping spree instead. Amina would never turn that down; it was a win win for the both of them.
Together, they walked to the front of Amina's suite where Judah was sitting in her living room, getting a tattoo done by his personal artist. He wasn't playing when he said he wasn't leaving Kianna's side ever again. That meant he would be accompanying her to the sleepovers she had with Amina and all.
Luckily, Amina now lived rent free in the condominium that Judah owned, so he only had to walk down the hall to be with Kianna.
"Hi baby. You almost done?" Kianna asked, and Judah turned his head to look at her as they walked in from the hallway.
"You look good mama. Come here." He gestured with a head tilt, and she leaned down after approaching him, letting him give her a kiss.
"Oh yeah, y'all having another baby in no time." Amina shook her head at the two of them, and Kianna laughed as she pulled Judah's hand from around her neck.
"Is it almost done?" She asked again, at Judah raised his arm behind his head so that she could see for herself.
Judah was currently getting a huge portrait of her face tattooed on his side, and it was definitely almost finished. It looked just like her, almost as if she was looking at her reflection in a mirror. This would be his fourth tattoo for her; he had her name on his neck and wrist, and above his eyebrow as well.
His first placement idea was to put her face on his back, but he didn't have any room left. It was completely covered with a tribute to the neighborhood he was from, and he also had the faces of Isaac, Elijah, Maria, and Abel tattooed there. His left side was about the only available area on his upper body.
"Oh my god, that is sooo cute, what the fuck?!" Amina looked down at the tattoo in admiration of her best friend's face.
"Nah for reallll. I love it stinky. It looks just like me." She smiled, watching the tattoo artist, Mark, rub a napkin over the finished piece, cleaning the excess ink.
"Shit yeah." He agreed with them, looking in the mirror that Mark held up with a smile. Judah would always trust that he'd execute perfect results every time. Mark did almost every single tattoo that he had, and he was literally covered head to toe in them.
"I 'preciate you brother." Judah dapped him up, and Mark pulled him in for a side hug before releasing him seconds later.
After being paid, he left, leaving only Judah, Kianna, and Amina in the apartment.
"Baby, can we go to the mall now?" Kianna asked, being careful to avoid the new tattoo as she wrapped her arms around him.
"Man y'all ass go to the mall every two days. Y'all ain't bought everything yet?" He frowned down at her, and she shrugged with a smile on her face.
"Stop acting broke, boy." Amina waved him off, and Kianna laughed as he rolled his eyes.
"I don't wanna go to Hudson Yards though. I wanna go to Brookfield. You have cash on you?" She asked, reaching down into the right pocket of his jeans without waiting for him to answer, and he smacked his lips when she pulled out the two wads of cash that was there.
"Here Mina." Kianna held out both for her to have to herself, causing him to roll his eyes yet again. They ran his pockets like they were his pimp or something.
"Let me go get my purse so we can go." Amina stuck her tongue out, and Kianna laughed again, watching her walk back towards her bedroom.
"Can we stop at Chic Fil A too?" Kianna looked up at him again, and he nodded, reaching down to grab his flip phone once it started to ring.
"Thank you baby." She stood on the tip of her toes to kiss him, and he returned it while putting his phone to his ear at the same time.
Kianna and Amina talked amongst themselves on the elevator ride down to the parking garage, tuning out Judah's business conversation during the walk to his truck.
When they were in, the first thing Kianna did was look in the armrest to see if he had any more cash stashed there. She pulled out the three tall stacks, sitting them down in her lap. Each stack had five bundles of cash wrapped in a gold colored $10,000 band, which meant there was fifty thousand dollars in each stack.
"Can I have it stink?" Kianna asked Judah, and he nodded his head, still talking on the phone.
"I love your life." Amina said to her when Kianna passed her a whole stack, and Kianna blew a kiss at her through the rearview mirror.
Amina really did mean that. She hated seeming like she was a gold digger to her own best friend, but she couldn't act like Kianna and Judah hadn't changed her life either.
She now had a Corvette Stingray and a wide body hellcat, and they were both fresh off the lot with zero miles when Kianna paid them off in full with all cash for Amina's birthday. In addition to those gifts, she currently lived rent free in a high rise condo with free weekly-no budget-groceries and an on-call chef when she didn't feel like cooking.
She got as much free weed as she wanted since Judah was literally a walking dispensary, went on free shopping sprees every few days with her most favorite girl in the world, and was even able to retire her parents early with money that wasn't even hers-all just because she was Kianna's best friend.
There was over half a million dollars in her bank account at this exact moment, and she often cried whenever she checked her balance. She'd never had so much money in her life. Sometimes she still couldn't believe how much her life had changed since her best friend was 'kidnapped'.
She frequently compared their new lives to lifetime movies, and Kianna agreed wholeheartedly. Her man made sure that they lived the lives they once dreamed of; the lives of literal princesses. She still wasn't sure why he chose her, but she was glad that he did; for financial reasons and the best love she'd ever experienced as well.
"Nah, he sent eight B's for it yesterday.. yeah 'cause he bought the ships and workers off me too. Yeah, he was cool. His ass barely spoke English but he had the money so I really ain't give a fuck what he was saying." Judah chuckled, currently talking to Shelly on the phone.
"Eight billion dollars is crazy. You lying." Kianna said to him, obviously eavesdropping. All Judah did was smirk as he glanced over at her, and Amina laughed as she watched Kianna roll her eyes at him.
Kianna refocused on her task of filling her maxi Chanel bag with the cash from the center console, which would be the money she would attempt to use for their shopping spree.
She said attempt because even though that cash was technically Judah's, now that she'd asked for it he considered it hers, and he hated when she spent her own money so he would most likely pay with his credit card instead.
Anyway, after stuffing her bag, Kianna gazed out of the window, looking through the side mirror at the black truck driving behind them. She knew that it was their security, but now, she often caught herself checking the license plate more than she normally did because of the incident that happened a few days ago.
She tried hard not to think about it, and yet, she couldn't help it. Everything reminded her of the fact that she was no longer a soon to be mother, but it became a bit easier to deal with as the days went by.
Along with Amina, Maria and Abel were helping to ease the weight on her and Judah's shoulders, too. His parents would group call them every morning to pray for them and it honestly helped them out more than they realized. Kianna was grateful for her support system.
After spending three and a half hours at the mall, they finally made it back home with receipts that totaled a little more than a hundred thousand dollars. That seemed like a lot, but when one Chanel bag is $10,000 by itself, it actually isn't that much if you really think about it.
Kianna hugged Amina goodbye, and then she and Judah went back to their own suite. He carried all of her bags to their bedroom while she stayed in the kitchen to get a snack.
"Elijah is home." The security system announced at the same time the door started to unlock, and also at the same time that Judah walked back towards the front.
"Yurrr, what niggas got goin'?" He hugged Kianna first, and Isaac was right behind him.
"Ain't shit. Where y'all coming from?" Judah dapped him up, getting a hug as well.
"Hey auntie Kj. I'm sorry about baby K." Isaac said to her, holding out a bouquet of long stem red roses that he picked out himself.
"Awwwee, thank you pooh. These are soo pretty." She kissed his cheek after taking the roses from him, smiling once he hugged around her leg.
"Wassup Yak?" Judah leaned over to pick him up, and he wrapped his arms around his uncle's neck for a hug.
"Wow. You love me so much, huh?" Kianna then smiled bigger at the gift basket that Elijah sat on the counter, containing a bouquet of raw Cambodian tape ins, a dove bath set, Tom Ford's vanilla sex and lost cherry perfume and a few bands of cash.
"I do, but I just put the cash in there, Janae made the basket for you." He chuckled, pulling a blunt from behind his ear to spark it-the literal exact thing Judah was doing while Isaac was now on his way to the restroom for a bath.
"She called me yesterday. Thank you so much. This is literally like my fifth basket, I swear." She said with a small laugh as she unwrapped the floral paper from her roses.
"Nah 'cause we was all ready for baby K, like for real. That shit tore me up when Judah told me.. How it's goin' with that nigga Lucci?" He asked, watching Kianna begin to pluck the leaves off of the stem of the roses.
"We ain't been out the house in a few days, and I thought he would've made a play 'cause we went to the mall today, but ain't shit happen. A cop doing undercover work in Croatia called me this morning though, saying his radios quiet 'cause a bad deal went wrong and Lucci gon' be in hiding for a lil' minute, so ion know when to expect some shit to happen. Shit aggravating."
"Should I even ask how you know cops in Croatia?" Kianna questioned while shaking her head, earning a laugh from the two brothers.
"After a while you gon' learn not to ask this nigga nothin'. Ain't shit out of his reach, I swear." Elijah shook his head as well, and Judah chuckled, shrugging his shoulders since that was true.
"But what, that mean you just gotta keep yo' eyes open? Don't nobody know when he gon' pop out again?" Elijah looked at his brother, watching him nod his head.
"I deadass wanna put everybody on lock down 'cause I really don't know what this nigga capable of or when he gon' try somethin'... This like the first time I don't know what to do, feel me? But I know y'all hate that shit, so I just upped the security. Hired some more niggas to watch y'all in the shadows type shit." Judah told him.
"Good looks. You ah' figure it out twin, you always do. So don't stress yourself out. God always watching out for us." Elijah held his hand out, and Judah clasped their palms to dap him up.
"I love you boy." Judah pulled him in for a hug, and Elijah patted his back before being released moments later.
"I love you too. Speaking of love, do niggas really love they lil' brother enough to send a couple thouwows through?" He grinned, and Kianna laughed as Judah immediately smacked his lips.
"Ain't shit genuine 'round this mufucka'. Get out my face 'for I do somethin' to you." Judah waved him off, and Elijah laughed as well, walking backwards to his room with his hands up in surrender.
"You talkin' shit just to do it anyway." Kianna laughed again as he pulled his phone out, and Judah waved her off too, opening a private browser to log into his J.P. Morgan account; the bank that was only accessible to ultra high net worth individuals.
He usually sent his younger brother money every two weeks, sort of like an allowance, and the same for his parents. Elijah got $150,000, while their parents got only $25,000 each because they rarely even spent money, and Judah usually left a few stacks of cash at their house whenever he visited.
To be unemployed and completely dependent on someone else's money, Elijah sure blew through money faster than the speed of light, and he did it because he knew that Judah would reimburse him every time.
Instead of working a job, Elijah went on vacations with his son and Janae on Judah's private jet every week, bought new cars at least twice a month, and dropped hundreds of thousands on his wardrobe and jewelry collection. He loved his life, and Judah did as well.
It made him happy to know that his little brother didn't have to worry about money or tire himself out by working for corporations who wouldn't care if he dropped dead. Elijah wouldn't have to want for anything for the rest of his life. His great-grandkids were even set for life.
The amount of wealth that Judah had was out of reach for most, and he barely understood his financial status himself. His three accountants did their jobs well and that's all that mattered. The only thing he cared about was his family having money to spend on whatever it was that their hearts desired.
"He's right, you know? You'll figure it out stink. Don't worry so much." Kianna told him once he slid his phone back into his pocket.
"That shit hard mama. I called myself not worrying about shit before, and my baby died because of it... I just wanna be sure that nothin' like that happens again." He told her in a voice that was quieter than his natural tone.
"There was nothing you could've done that would've prevented that, baby. Anything that happens is meant to happen. We have no say so either way. Be easier on yourself." She said, cutting off half of the stems of her roses.
"I know. I'm just scared, that's all. For the first time in my life." He spoke truthfully, watching her put the roses in a vase of warm water.
"And that's alright, but you've done everything that you can for now. Rest." She leaned over the counter to give him a kiss, and he puckered his lips out to return it.
"I love you so much." He told her, locking his eyes on hers.
"I love you more than you know stink."
