04 | Kill or be Killed

"Yeah, this him. Who took 'em out?" Judah stared down at the dead body that had just been pulled out of the freezer, focusing mostly on the gunshot wound in his forehead.

"Ace. He said this nigga been walking past her apartment every day since she left, and tried to break in as soon as she made it back this morning." Shelly stood on the side of him, facing the opposite direction because of his weak stomach.

"Hm. Should've let his ass kill 'er since she wanna be so fucking hardheaded." Judah gestured for the mortician to put the body away before leading the way out of the morgue.

"Youn mean that." Shelly chuckled.

"Shut yo' ass up. You don't know what the fuck I mean." He waved him off as they stepped on the elevator together, making Shelly laugh.

"So what you 'bouta do? Go get her?"

"I got to before the rest of these niggas find out she back home. I literally told her dumbass that it's a bag on her head. It's like she tryna die on purpose." Judah shook his head, pulling his phone from his pocket.

"You told her what this all about?" Shelly asked.

"Nah. I mean, I told her it had something to do with her pops, but that was about it." He shrugged, dialing the iCloud account to her iPad since he knew she didn't have her phone.

"Good luck nigga." Shelly dapped him up with a smile when they made it to the parking garage, and he chuckled in response as he returned it.

"Yo, I need two on me." Judah gestured for two armed guards to follow him while ending the call after it didn't go through.

"Shorty ass dumb as shit, man." He muttered to himself as he got in the backseat of a blacked out Escalade truck, the two guards taking the front.

"Where to, boss?"

"124 Conch Street." He responded, putting his phone to his ear after dialing her iCloud for the second time.

That call didn't go through either, and he sucked his teeth as he listened to the automated voicemail message. He didn't bother to call again because she only stayed six minutes away from his building so he'd be seeing her in no time.

The security at the women's house alerted him of her disappearance about an hour ago, and he was definitely pissed when he found out, but he calmed down over time. There was no point in being upset because he would be taking her again either way.

He was trying to decide on whether or not he'd discipline her though. He told himself that he wouldn't put his hands on her again but she made it so hard. She didn't listen to him no matter what consequences she faced so it was time to take it up a notch.

Ten minutes later, Judah lifted his foot to kick the hallow area of Amina's door to force it open. It only took one kick, and he could hear the both of them scream simultaneously in fear and surprise, currently sitting on the couch together.

"And like a dummy you ain't go nowhere but to yo' only friend house. Get yo' ass up." He grabbed Kianna by her arm to pull her up, causing her screams to purposely get louder.

"Mina!" Her scream halted and was replaced with Amina's cry after Judah shot her in her left shoulder with a Glock 19.

"Get the fuck up before I kill her." He said to Kianna, aiming his gun directly at Amina's forehead.

"Okay, okay-stop it Judah! She needs help! I can't leave her!" Kianna cried, trying to pull her arm out of his tight grip as Amina's cries grew louder.

"Judah!" She screamed at him when he shot Amina again, then he pointed the gun at Kianna, making her freeze up.

"Start walking." He instructed, listening to her sniff as she glanced at her best friend once more before doing as told.

"I'm sorry Mina. I'm so sorry." She was led away by Judah who was clearly not impacted by his actions in the slightest.

"Paramedics ah' be here in a few minutes. Put pressure on yo' wound or you gon' bleed out and die shorty." Judah said to Amina with a devious grin before closing the door to her apartment.

"Help her, please? She needs help!" Kianna pleaded with an older neighbor who stood outside his apartment in shock, watching the scene unfold.

"No!" Kianna cried out again when Judah sent a bullet through the middle of the man's face, and then she was picked up by him since she was moving too slow.

He carried her effortlessly over his right shoulder as he walked to his truck without a care in the world. As soon as they got in, the driver backed out of the parking spot and fled the scene just as more neighbors came out of their apartments.

"Quit all that fucking crying before I shoot you next, girl." He flipped the safety back on then put his gun in the holster on his waistband.

"You are fucking crazy! Why would you sh-what if she dies, Judah?! Why would you do that?!" She swung on him, catching him good in his jaw. Like every other time, she didn't stop there. She kept swinging and swung some more.

Using all the restraint he had, Judah was able to pin her down in the backseat without hitting her back. That took a lot of effort because every piece of him wanted to snap her neck in half.

"C'mon now mama I'm tryna be cool with you. I'm 'bouta knock yo' ass out though. Quit fucking movin'." He pressed her folded arms down against her chest to make it hard for her to breathe, and she gasped as her windpipe damn near closed up.

"Sit back and be still. You understand me? Tell me what I wanna hear." He pressed down harder, and she tapped his arm to let her up.

"Y-yes sir." She managed to get out, and Judah let her go with a smile.

"Good girl. Get up." He pulled her to sit up with him, and then he placed her sideways in his lap while she actively tried to catch her breath. With all the previous pressure on her chest and along with her cries, it was quite the task.

"I-I-I hate y-you so much, I swear." She sniffed as she raised her hands up to wipe her face.

"That's aight. I like shit like that." He paid her no mind as he pulled his iPhone XR from his pocket once it started ringing.

"Say something and you gon' die right here and I'ma make sure Amina don't make it out that hospital. You understand me?" He turned her head to look at him, watching her nod in response.

"Yes sir." She hissed as his fingers gripped her face tighter.

Judah let her face go and put his phone to his left ear, resting his other hand across her thighs. He listened to his mother yell at him in Spanish, and he could tell Kianna was trying to eavesdrop from the look on her face.

"Ma talk in English. Lo que te digo sobre eso?" He chuckled, trailing his hand up higher on Kianna's thigh.

"Stop it. Keep it right there." She kept her voice quiet while pushing his hand back near her knee, putting a smile on his face.

"Where the hell are you? You haven't been home to see me in a whole week!" His mother, Maria, fussed at him in English.

"I'm taking care of business mami. You know this how it go when I get busy."

"Too busy for your own mother, huh? Ok. No food for your belly and I no do your hair! You have that business take care of you!" She then began to rant in Spanish again, cursing him out in both languages.

"Ma I love you. I'ma come home tonight, aight? But right now I gotta go." He said as soon as she went quiet to catch her breath from talking so fast.

"Mhm yeah, whatever. Bye." She ended the call first, and he pulled the phone from his ear with a smile.

He then adverted his gaze to Kianna who was playing with her fingers in her lap while tears slid down her blush red cheeks. She lifted her head when the car came to a stop, seeing that they were back at what she liked to call 'The Whore House'.

She got out of the truck first when Judah tapped her thigh, and he got out right behind her, grabbing her hand to lead the way to the house.

"You ever killed somebody, mama?" He asked her as they walked up the steps together.

"Stop calling me that. I'm not your mother. She should be ashamed to have a son like you, too." She didn't answer his question because she knew that he knew that she hadn't.

"Watch yo' mouth mama." He grinned at her as he purposely used the nickname again, watching her roll her eyes.

When they walked in the house hand in hand, the talking amongst the women ceased, and Kianna was put at the center of attention. She tried to pull her hand from his, but he only held it tighter before pulling her to stand directly in front of him.

"Yo, Tyra, c'mere." He did a motion with his free hand, making Kianna's head turn to watch a girl around her age get off of one of the couches.

"You gon' kill somebody today mama, I'ma show yo' ass not to play with me. You ah' have all types of bodies to yo' name and that shit gon' eat you alive every time you close yo' eyes." He said to Kianna in her ear before kissing the same spot, and she couldn't even pretend like his words didn't scare her.

"Tyra, kill her or I'ma kill yo' daughter in front of you and yo' moms." He took a few steps back from Kianna, who turned her head to look at him with a frown. He couldn't be serious.

Kianna barely got the chance to thoroughly process his words before she was punched in her face by Trya, who clearly understood just how serious Judah was with his threats.

All of the women in the house watched, even those who had no clue what was going on and only came out of their rooms because of all the commotion. Some of them were cheering Tyra on, and others remained quiet as they watched the fight.

"Bitch get off of my hair," Kianna used only her right fist to repeatedly thrash it into Tyra's face while her left hand held the back of her head to keep it still, feeling Tyra's grip eventually loosen from the pain.

As soon as her hair was let go, Kianna took turns with both of her fists to continue aiming directly for Tyra's face until she fell backwards, momentarily losing consciousness.

Kianna breathed hard as she shook her sore hands, staring down at the bloody mess she'd caused. She could feel herself become emotional because she didn't know this girl at all and was forced to harm her anyway.

After a few seconds, Tyra slowly stood up, trying not to fall again as she started walking back towards Kianna.

"Judah, tell her to stop. Please," Kianna practically begged him, realizing that she might actually have to beat this girl to death if she didn't give up.

"Kill her, mama." He tauntingly used the nickname again while a smirk remained plastered on his face.

"She has a child! I'm not about to k-," Kianna was cut off by Tyra throwing a punch in her direction, getting her good in her nose.

Kianna stepped back from her to hold her nostrils closed in an attempt to stop the blood, still not swinging back. When Tyra reached to hit her again, Kianna ducked, moving out of her reach.

"Amina gon' die if she don't, Kianna Jade. Try me if you think I'm playing." Judah used her full name since he knew that she hated it, earning a sniff from her in response.

Tyra tiredly attempted to jab her in her face again, and Kianna ducked once more before uppercutting her in the space between her chin and chest. With the wind now knocked out of her, Tyra fell backwards, clutching her chest as blood spilled from all areas of her face.

"She ain't dead yet." Judah lit a blunt between his lips, taking a seat in a chair that was brought to him by one of the girls.

"Judah I'm not killing her." Kianna cried softly, glancing over at Tyra who twitched on the ground as if she was having a seizure.

He pulled his gun from the holster on his waistband, flipping the safety off. He shot just a centimeter away from Kianna's foot, making her shriek in surprise.

He then shot Tyra in her stomach, listening to her groan out in agony. She was in way too much pain to scream and was so close to passing out.

"If you don't kill her, she gon' suffer until she bleed to death and the last thing she gon' think about is you. You want a dead woman's last suffering thought to be about you?" He pointed the gun back at Kianna.

"I wonder what Amina's last thought ah' be." He pretended to ponder off into space, and Kianna sniffed again, slowly turning her body in Tyra's direction.

Kianna lifted her foot and stomped on Tyra's face with her winter black Jordan 12s as hard as she could. She did it a few times, and then stepped back from Tyra's now dead body.

"Whewww, shit. I thought you might've choked her or something. You went in rough mama; just stomped her face in and left her six year old daughter without a mom. Damn." Judah chuckled, blowing smoke out of his mouth as Kianna's cries became heavier.

"Ana, come kill her or Jr dies." He directed to another girl while referring to her little brother, the only family she had left.

"Boss, I can't d-," Ana was cut off as Judah shot her in her thigh, making her scream while the rest of the room went completely silent.

"Now you got a disadvantage. Do you want me to just kill you now and have yo' brother killed, or you wanna take yo' chance with Kj and let him live?" He asked.

"Judah please stop. I'm sorry. I'll listen, I'll do whatever you want, j-just stop, please?" Kianna pleaded with him, and he put his gaze back on her with a smile.

"Yo, clean this shit up and take her to medical." He stood up from the chair, putting his gun back in the holster.

"Yes sir." Most of the women spoke simultaneously, all of them moving to do as told.

"Come on my baby." He picked Kianna up by her thighs, chuckling as she tucked her arms between their two bodies so that she didn't have to hold around his neck.

"Jayla, go fix her a plate and bring it back to the room." He stopped a girl from cleaning blood from the floor, and Kianna watched as the girl nodded without any hesitation.

Everyone was so willing to follow his every command and almost seemed happy to do it, too. It's like they were all in his debt or something, because even though these women were allowed to go home, they willingly stayed and did whatever he told them to.

Kianna wasn't mad at them, though. This man probably threatened the people closest to them on the daily, and apparently he paid them thousands of dollars to work for him, too. So really, they barely had a choice despite them being given an option-which technically was an ultimatum, and not just an option.

"I'm glad you ain't let her mess yo' face up. I would've had to kill her myself." Judah chuckled, holding the back of Kianna's head as he cleaned her nose while the two of them now stood in the bathroom.

There was a hot bubble bath running in the whirlpool bathtub with hydro massage jets, waiting on Kianna's arrival. He was so sick for running her a bath after forcing her to kill an innocent girl, but he was evidently unbothered by his actions.

"You mad at me?" He asked her, holding the end of his sweatshirt that she wore.

"It's business mama. Don't be mad. I need you to learn to listen to me, 'cause every time you don't, it'll be another bitch blood on your hands." He held her waist underneath the shirt, sliding his arms all the way around her.

"You understand me?" He repeated his favorite thing to say.

"Yes sir." She mumbled with a crack in her voice.

"Good girl. I love hearing you say that." He smirked, tapping her face twice before walking out to give her some privacy.

Kianna didn't undress herself until she made sure the door was locked, and then she stepped into the bathtub. She laid her head on the side of it as everything except her arms became submerged in the water.

Just like Judah told her, as soon as she closed her eyes, images of Tyra's bloody and beaten face repeatedly flashed in her mind. The last groaning rattle that came out of Tyra made Kianna's cries audible and heavier than before.

She stayed in the bathtub for damn near an hour to cry to herself while praying to God for guidance at the same time. All she wanted was to be with her best friend. She hoped like hell that Amina was okay.

After a while, Kianna walked out of the bathroom smelling like the EOS vanilla cashmere lotion that she'd just rubbed her body down with; one of Judah's favorite scents. That was the reason he provided her with it.

The same cart from earlier was on Kianna's side of the bed, displaying a plate of country fried beef ribs, candied yams, baked macaroni and cheese, and turkey neck greens. There was a bottle of water and a glass of lemonade sitting there as well.

Her stomach growled as the scent filled her nose, which made her roll her eyes. Her best friend had just been shot and she killed a woman an hour ago, but here her body was betraying her with hunger pangs.

As badly as she wanted to eat, she got in the bed and put herself underneath the covers. It was freezing in the room so she made sure to tuck it over her shoulders.

"You ain't gon' eat? Really, you that stubborn?" Judah looked over at her even though she was facing the wall.

"Aight then. Come here." He laid all the way down instead of sitting against the headboard, then he pulled her body as close to his as it could get by her waist.

"I'll let you go if you eat." He told her, knowing that she didn't want him touching her. He loved pissing her off.

Kianna didn't move and she didn't say anything either. She laid still and kept quiet even when she felt his hand slide underneath her shirt to rest on her stomach.

"C'mon mama. Tell me to move." His voice rasped against the skin of her neck.

When she remained silent, Judah chuckled, removing his arms from around her.

Oh well. He didn't feel bad. Nothing that took place today would've happened had she listened to him.

Her fault.

I got into my first car wreck yesterday and why was it kinda 🎀😍
