It's been what ? Right, 12 years. 12 years that Charlotte and Yami playing around and can't confess their feeling for each other. 12 years for bickering. acting like a cat and dog, Yami will tease Charlotte to the point she will Ioose her cool. 

 It's been 2 years since they rescue Yami and William from the dark triad. During that time. Charlotte was so worried about Yami, holding back her tears as she saw haw helpless and hurt he is. But what Yami did when he woke up after the rescue? He tease Charlotte to the point that she got angry on him and didn't talk to him anymore. Even in the Captains meeting. Julius and the other captains can feel the tension between the two but didn't talk about it because it's Yami Sukehiro. Their orders also feel the tension between the two captains, Blue Roses members ask about Yami and Charlotte shout at them and don't bring him again on their topics while the Black Bulls members ask their Captain, he just shrugged them off and yell at them to not mind him and he will go to the bathroom and take a dump. Yami really regret what he did to Charlotte, he wanted to apologize, he wanted to. .. he wanted to what? Why would he even think about it. She hate him before and she hated him even more now. Why does it bother him?

First Captain meeting after their fight, he watch her changed sit with Dorothy, which shocked the captains even him but why does it bother him? It's been 2 years since he ask for forgiveness bur still no response from her? why? He felt more guilt every Time he thought about it.

 Charlotte is so disappointed. So disappointed that she wanted to punch him. Disappointed for all people she falls for. 'Damn curse! Stupid curse! Stupid feelings! I know this will happen! Why died he saves me back then? To punish me like this? Gods!!!!' She hated him now but she still loves him. 

"Why? Why Yami? Why are you like this?. "Do you even want to apologize? Am I not important to you? ".

Those words was stuck in Yami's head. 6 months after his argument with her. 

"Nah, why would i care about you? Yeah maybe everyone but not me, don't compare them to me". He regretted say those words to her. He made the situation worse! But his pride comes first. Her eyes widen when he said those, he saw her unshed tears, she was hurt.

 "I love you" she said.

 His eyes grew wide.

 "But now despise you, I hate you now, Yami Sukehiro. Don't come near me again"

"Shit" he thought I really messed up. After that.. . They never talk again.
