The Isle still lives on |ch10

Mal's long lavender hair reached her shoulders, and her sparkling green eyes twinkled below new bluntly cut bangs. She beamed. Mal was the child of a villain through and through. Now it was undeniable. Dizzy looked at her work, sporting the biggest smile imaginable. "Ah! There I am," said Mal, delighted. "Voilà!" squealed the granddaughter of lady Tremaine. "Voilà," said Mal, turning to the younger girl and holding a couple of dollars.
Dizzy clutched her chest. "For me?" she asked incredulously. The now purple-haired girl nodded. "Yeah! You earned it." Dizzy took the money out of Mal's hand and marched across the salon to the cash register. Suddenly no one other than Harry Hook, son of Captain Hook, slipped through the front door and towered over the cash register. "Fork it over!" Dizzy froze. Mal stood where she was, unnoticed by Harry. The son of one great captain smirked at the young girl with glasses with his hand outstretched. Dizzy looked crestfallen. She slowly handed the cash to Harry. "And the rest of it, Four Eyes," he sneered.
Dizzy moved around the cash register, opened it, and handed Harry everything inside. She leaned over the cashier desk and rested her chin glumly on her hand. "Thank you." The son of hook turned to leave. "Still running errands for Uma, or do you get to keep what you steal?" Mal piped up. Harry whirled around and grinned when he saw her. "Well, well, isn't this a nice surprise?" Mal smiled. "Hi, Harry." The black-haired pirate strolled toward her and waved his Hook. "Wait until Uma hears that you're back. You know, she will never give you back your old territory." The daughter of maleficent shook her head. "She won't have to." She nodded. "I will be taking."
Harry flicked Mal's new do with his Hook. "You know, I could hurt you." just when he said that, a snarl was heard, and in his head, Mal's and Dizzy's rang a clear voice that could get even Hades to shiver. Hurt her, and you will answer to a dragon's wrath. Mal kept her cool as she recognized the voice while Dizzy and Harry were looking around scarred. "who's there?!" harry hissed.
The voice laughed. Oh, little son of Hook... I'm disappointed. What could you possibly expect from a pirate and son of a flighty little captain? The words stung at Harry's heart, and he clenched his jaw, still not knowing how he could talk to the voice and if he was the only one hearing it. "you're not the only one, Harry," Mal said, making the pirate look at her with a surprised look. "I hear her too. You do well to remember her words," she said and smirked. Harry sneered but backed away and out of the shop without another word. the voice had left his mind and Dizzy's but not Mal's. I know you could have saved yourself, but my rage is too great to contain M. io cannot help it. Mal chuckled inwardly, learning how to communicate with her friend through her mind. It's alright. She heard the void chuckle and slowly felt the presence in her mind fade. We will see each other soon. But before Mal could ask what the voice meant, it faded altogether.
We will meet soon, M.

Valia, Ben, Evie, Jay, and Carlos crept down a set of stairs toward the royal limo waiting outside. Thanks to the daughter of the evil queen's sewing skills and talent for fashion design, Ben wore his new Isle-inspired outfit, which consisted of a distressed blue leather jacket with metallic studs, a blue beanie, and blue fingerless leather gloves, blue pants, and dark boots.
The whole gang was in their Isle of the Lost attire, with Evie stunning in a blue leather jacket and matching skirt; Jay in red-and-blue velvet pants, a leather jacket, and a beanie; and Carlos in red-and-black pants, a leather jacket, and fingerless gloves.
Here is Valia's look:
They were ready for the Isle. It was not for the faint of heart. Their feet touched down on the pavement outside the school where the black stretch waited. "Keys. Remote," said Ben, tossing them both to Jay. "Let's go." "Wait!" said Evie. Everyone gathered at the foot of the stairs. "Something's wrong," she said. Everyone looked at her expectantly. She stepped in front of Ben, pulled his beanie farther down over his hair, ruffled his jacket, and smiled. "There," the daughter of the evil queen said, satisfied. Suddenly, Dude appeared behind them on the stairs. "Road trip!" The rusty-colored dog said. "Dude, no!" said Carlos. "Stay! The Isle is way too dangerous." Valia, Ben, Evie, and Jay gawked at Dude. "He just...talked?" asked Jay. "Yeah. I know. I'll tell you later," said Carlos. Everyone stared at each other for a brief moment and shook their heads. "Let's go," Valia said, determined to push through the shock of the talking dog.
In a haze, everyone climbed into the limo. It was filled with buttons, gadgets, refreshments, and vast arrays of colorful sweets; it was the same one that had brought Valia, Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos to Auradon Prep. The son of Jafar and the son of Cruella tried their first-ever chocolate peanut butter cups in that limo. But the brown-haired had never driven it before. He smiled devilishly, grabbed the steering wheel, and hit the gas. The limo rocketed away from the school.

I know Mal had settled in again. Now it's only up to her to regain her turf from Uma.
Night fell over the Isle of the Lost as the limo rolled to a stop in an empty warehouse. Valia, Jay, Carlos, Evie, and Ben jumped out of the vehicle and slammed the doors. Around them were splintered wooden shipping crates, old sheets in a stinking pile, walls of corroded corrugated metal, and slimy barrels.
There was also a substantial rusty metal pipe-turned tunnel into a rock wall.
"Ben," said Carlos, running to the pile of sheets. "Help me with the tarp." Ben and Carlos carried the tarp to Evie and valia, and the four started covering up the limo. After all, the car stood out like a shiny new penny in a garbage pile, and the friends didn't want to rouse any suspicious looks from possible passersby. That was the last thing they needed. Evie looked around uneasily. "It's peculiar being back," she told Jay.
"We'll get in and get out," he assured her. Valia came up to them and nodded, her gaze meeting theirs. "We will." "Jay." Carlos got his attention and tossed half the tarp over the top of the limo to his friend. Jay, along with Evie and Valia, took it, and they finished ensuring the limo was hidden entirely.
Meanwhile, Ben wandered to the giant rusty pipe tunnel. He peered inside it for a good long moment. "Hey! What's in here?" Ben called back to the others. The white-haired girl and her friends rushed to Ben's side. "You don't want to know," said Jay. Carlos pulled Ben away from the opening. "Hey, guys." Carlos turned to the whole group. "Keep it chill. All right? The last thing we need is our parents figuring out we're here."
His friends nodded in agreement as they all took off, away from the limo and around a dark bend. They entered a seedy alleyway where tattered sheets hung from rickshaws and covered dirty entryways. Two unkempt children in shabby coats ran up to Evie, and one of them tried to pickpocket her. "Hey," said Evie. "Hey! What are you doing?" She gripped the arm of each child.
They struggled against her, wriggling like eels.
"Stop!" said Evie. She released them, reached into her pocket, and held her tiny coin purse. "Here. Just take it," she said, extending it to one. The little kid grabbed it and scampered off. Evie turned to Valia and Jay, and Carlos, realizing Ben was nowhere in sight. "Ben," Evie said, sighing. The four marched down the alley to find him.
Ben had wandered ahead of his friends into a covered marketplace: Low Tide Lane, a small alley where pirates sold their decrepit wares. He looked around at the clutter of barrels, lanterns, and splintered pieces of wood. Signs advertised crabgrass, grit, pond scum, and worms, and a black street sign with a double-sided white arrow pointing in opposite directions read NO WAY. Haggard pirates dozed behind their busted makeshift carts while others carried trash baskets. Ben was in awe of the Isle, which until then had been a place he had only ever heard about.
It was far worse than he had expected. Yet he also found an odd beauty to it. Ben's sights landed on a scrappy pirate, and Ben waved at him and smiled. The pirate glared back at him. Ben extended his arm and welcomed a handshake, but the pirate only lunged at Ben and growled. Valia appeared with Jay and Carlos, and she gripped Ben's arm. "Stop it. Just stop." She hissed at the pirate, who looked at her scared and scattered off. That was better, she thought. Now isn't the time to start something.
Ben looked at his friends. "What?" he asked with a shrug, unsure why they were so concerned. After all, he believed there was good in everyone—even there. "This isn't a parade. This is the Isle," said Evie. "Just keep your hands in your pockets unless you're stealing," said Jay. "Yeah, you either slouch, or you strut," said Carlos. "And never, ever smile," said valia.
Ben nodded. "Okay, thank you, guys—"
"No!" Evie motioned for silence. "Forget the thank-yous! And no, please, either! ...chill." The four went on to Ben about how he had to work on fitting in more on the Isle to throw off any suspicious looks. They showed him through a song.
Evie:
Let me tell you something you can trust
Everybody's got a wicked side
I know you think that you could never be like us
Watch and learn so you can get it right
All, Carlos, Evie, and Valia:
You need to drag your feet
You need to nod your head
You need to lean back
Slip through the cracks
You need not care
Uh, you need not stare
You need a whole lot of help
You need not be yourself
(Evie, All):
Wanna you be calm?
Let me show you how
Need to break the rules
I can show you how
And once you catch this feeling
Yeah, once you catch this feeling
You'll be chillin', chillin', oh
Chillin' like a villain (Chillin')
Chillin' like a villain (Hey)
Chillin' like, chillin' like (Hey) a villain
(Valia):
You draw attention when you act like that
Let us teach you how to disappear
You look like you would lose a fight to an alleycat
You have to be wrong to get it right 'round here
(All, Evie, Valia)
You need to watch your back
You need to creep around
You need to slide real smooth
Don't make a sound
And if you want it, take it
And if you can't take it, break it
If you care about your health
Seriously, you need not be yourself
(Valia, All)
Let me show you how
Need to break the rules
I can show you how
And once you catch this feeling
Yeah, once you catch this feeling
You'll be chillin', chillin', oh
Chillin' like a villain (Chillin')
Chillin' like (Hey) a villain (Chillin')
Chillin' like
(Valia, Evie, Carlos, Ben)
I want to be bad a lot
And I'm giving it my best shot
But it's hard being what I'm not
Well, if you don't, you're going to get us caught
He's right; we have to stay low-key
Now show us how bad you can be
Like this? (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
Like this? (Yeah, yeah)
Oh yeah, I think I got this
Let's go; I'm ready to rock this
And I ain't going to thank you for your help
I think I found the worst in myself
(Evie, all)
Wanna you be cool?
Let me show you how
Need to break the rules
I can show you how
And once you catch this feeling
Yeah, once you catch this feeling
You'll be chillin', chillin', oh
Chillin' like a villain (Chillin')
Chillin' like (Hey) a villain (Chillin')
Chillin' like a villain (Chillin')
Chillin' like a villain (Chillin')
(Hey) Chillin' like a villain

Now that Ben had mastered the art of appearing villainous, the crew headed through a sordid alley. It was finally time to find Mal and get her back.
Let's get mal back before we're caught.
