Brian then pulled up to the auditorium where the graduation ceremony would be held and I smiled at him seeing my Avó stand there with Suki and Tej with a huge smile.

I got out of the car and ran up to her, embracing her in a huge hug and she said "My baby, she's getting so old!"

She kissed my cheek and said, "I want pictures of you all, get together!"

We all got together and Brian wrapped an arm around me.

"Get silly!" My Avó ordered causing us to laugh as we made silly faces while she took the pictures.

I then saw my mom, step-dad, sister, and David staring at us all with disapproving looks causing my mood to turn all the way upside down.

I buried my face into Brian's neck causing him to wrapped his arm around me.

"Oh hell no! Diana you do not have to be scared, embarrassed, or ashamed. Your gotta walk that stage today and own it no matter what!"

"Now smile!" Avó said causing me to smile at how amazing she was

I smiled and I took Brian's hand and we began walking to the auditorium.

As I passed David and his group of friends he yelled out "Slut"

I took a deep breath, turned, and sneered "Aww, you still mad that you couldn't hit it?"

His friends let out their coos and I turned around and began walking before Brian stopped and pressed his lips against mine, grazing his hands down to my ass, gripping it softly causing me to moan loud enough for them to hear it.

Me and Brian then looked at each other with a grin, before he looked over at them and smirked.

"Don't speak my wife's name again or I'll kick your snobby ass again." He then said

I smiled and looked over at them as their faces fell and anger fell upon David's expression. We then began walking again and Brian squeezed my hand softly and said "I'm proud of you."

I smiled and said "I really want you to show me"

He rose an eyebrow and smirked, "We can play show and tell later."

The principal had been calling names for us to walk across the stage and get our diplomas for the longest now and I was finally next.

"Diana Dyer" Sge called out

I began walking and she smiled at me handed me my diploma, seeing that my mom, stepdad, or Clara were no longer the audience anymore gave me relief.

Their perfect little princess walked the stage, so they don't feel the need to see the one who's not a certified ass kisser.

Our principal pulled me into a side hug and said "Congratulations, I am proud of you Ms. Dyer"

I nodded and said, "Thank You!"

Then looked over and Brian was smiling cheek to cheek at me and I smiled back, walking off of the stage. I then walked over to where my Avó, Brian, Suki, and Tej were and whispered "Let's get out of here."

My Avó then said "Yes. These heels are killing mí feet."

I did nothing but laugh lowly as we began to make our way out of the auditorium. Brian held the door open for us all and we made our way out the building and to our cars.

"Diana!" I heard my mom call.

I kept walking trying to keep away from any contact with her.

Her heels clicking against the pavement seemed to get louder and louder until I felt her pull my arm back.

"I am so disappointed in you, you're hanging with these bad influences and it's causing you to act out! You can come back home and we can get you help. It's not too late," She begged

My eyes went wide and I laughed saying, "Wow!"

Does she think I'm stupid?

"I would go to hell and back before I would move back in with you people," I concluded

She then started crying and my dad said "Diana! stop this you're coming home with us"

"No! No, I am not!" I rebutted

He then tried to grab for me causing Brian to step in front of me. My step-dad then yelled, "So your Mr. Hero, you can stop all her problems. Huh? You're nothing but trash that's been fucking her for a few seconds and now you think you know everything about her!"

"Don't talk to him like that!" I seethed now pissed off with the fact that he has disrespected both of us

Brian pulled me back gently as my grandma said "Hey! I'm sick of this shit. Diana, Brian, Suki, and Tej go, I will handle them."

"Thank you." I said as we got in our cars on our way back to the Eastside.

Suki and Tej were still planning my party for tonight. Which was going to be another great night! I was done letting people make decisions for me and done being my so-called mom's pawn.
