I watched as my big brother and husband fought these brutes off. They could handle it but it was just too many of them.

The chaos of the situation just heightened the emotions that hit the moment the platform began to crumble causing them all to fall into a pit of darkness.

"Letty! Move!" I yelled as I stepped back as she did the same

I then looked at the seal on the door before I shot making sure the bullets wouldn't ricochet back before I shot five shots at the weak points along the doorframe and kicked the door out.

I then looked down at the water that settled below and gently grabbed Letty's shoulders to soothe her before saying, "We're going to jump. I need you to keep your legs tight the entire fall so you don't break anything."

She then nodded before wiping her eyes her facial expression hardened and I turned toward the open doorframe before jumping down into the murk below.

'Please be okay'

Those were the only words running throughout my mind as I crashed into the deep water below feeling the ripples beneath the water from Letty's body colliding into the water after me.

Pushing my way downward in the water I immediately spotted Brian from a lucky glint from the light above that illuminated the water just right.

Grabbing him from beneath his arms I kicked to the surface quickly and carefully moved onto my back and kicked toward the tunnel at the end of this body of water before pulling him up to the platform above.

I then looked over at Letty who had gotten Dom out of the water as well before saying, "Check his pulse. Do CPR if you need to."

Almost hesitantly I checked his pulse feeling his heartbeat before breaking down and pulling him into my lap as I said, "Brian..."

I then placed my arms around him as I let my tears fall from my eyes as I slowly shook him back in forth before looking over at Letty.

ʚ𝐅𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐇𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊 6 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐀 𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐅 𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐒 𝐀𝐆𝐎ɞ

I leaned on Brian's shoulder as we looked off in the distance from the shore of the beach with a smile before biting his neck gently causing him to laugh.

"You're crazy! You know that, right?" He asked as I laughed

"Of course!" I replied just after biting him again

"I should get it tattooed, shouldn't I?" I then asked while wrapping my legs around his waist from behind

"Who am I to stop you?!" He then said sarcastically

"I'm gonna tattoo it right on the middle of my forehead." I rebutted causing him to immediately turn and me to fall over on the sand laughing as a result of his abrupt shift

"If I didn't know you I would think you were actually insane." He then said as I continued to laugh

"Why are you looking at me like that?" I then asked as he lay next to me and gently placed his hand on my cheek and said, "I was contemplating on throwing you in the ocean"

"You throw me in the ocean after I've just done my hair I'm going to contemplate killing you!" I rebutted causing him to laugh and shake his head

"Now you know how I feel about the forehead tattoo." He rebutted causing me to flick him off and him to do the same

"Dummy!" I then muttered causing him to laugh and kiss my nose

"Idiot!" He rebutted

"Stupid!" I retorted while I slipped on top of him resulting in him placing his hands on my waist

"I love you." He then said causing me to smile and melt as I replied, "I love you too"

ʚ𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐓ɞ

Feeling Brian finally jolt in my arms I felt my soul regain consciousness as I wiped my eyes.

"Diana..." He said lowly as he sat up and turned to face me

"Brian, I told you we do this...we do it together! We've been off the radar for a reason. We have three small kids at home! Let me just say this now none of this save the world shit matters if I have to lose you to save it. We are here to regulate not grant a death wish." I explained as I stood to look toward the ceiling as I took a deep breath

"D...I'd never put you in a position like that-" He said before I turned and cut him off saying, "But, you did!"

"Diana, listen to me..." He began to state softly as he stood up and filled the void between us and placed his hands on my cheeks

"We do this to protect our children's, children. We risk our lives every day. But, I wouldn't dare see my wife lose any more family than she already has; especially one that close and important to her. It was risky, I admit that...but what kind of man would I be to let a group of men trail and try and rally against my wife and family? I will always choose you over me  and protect you at any cost as I promised in our vows." He explained

"I hate that you are this strong sometimes." I then replied while I wrapped my arms around him as he did the same

"You don't want to know how many times I have thought the same as well" He rebutted causing me to chuckle lowly as he leaned his forehead against mine

"It will never be goodbye, Diana." He then said before placing his lips against mine while holding me close

"I know..." I replied after pulling away and laying my head on his chest

Finally, back in our base, we were recently chased out of we were immediately back to work.

One manhunt down just for the same problem to come about once more.

"From here, things move quickly. Jakob has all the pieces he needs. Once he activates Aries, all he needs to do is send the signal globally." Ramsey informed as she tapped through the encrypted information she had stashed away in our hard drives upon learning we were under attack

"And then there's no stopping him, ever," Tej added with a sigh

"So, let me guess?! He'll have to launch some kind of pirate satellite...something that'll act as an amplifier, infecting other satellites in orbit one by one." I asked causing Ramsey to nod

"So we find him, stop him, and then we get Elle back!" Han said hopefully

"Our odds are zero here, Han...Satellite equipment is easy enough to track, but we're not gonna beat Jakob to a launch." Tej said

"Which gives us a two-target problem," Gisele said

"Jakob on the ground with his own private army..." Brian added on

"...And the satellite," Suki said shortly after

"And, it can't be hacked?" Savannah asked

"Not remotely. We'd have to do it physically, 50 miles above ground while the satellite is in orbit." Ramsey explained

"Orbit?" Roman asked

"We need help. Otherwise, we have no chance." Mia said sounding a bit defeated

"We do it ourselves," Dom said causing us all to look over at him as he stood on the step of our compound

"It's where we've been that got us this far." Letty then said

"No. No, no, no, no, no." Roman then said beginning to start up one of his rants causing me to roll my eyes as I smiled

"Do y'all not understand? Clearly, y'all don't. Because if you did, you'd be pissing your pants like a normal person! Orbit! That's outer space. That's another level. What we gonna do? Hijack a space shuttle? Put rockets on our backs?!" Roman ranted putting exclaims all throughout his words

"That's exactly what we're gonna do," Dom said with a low smile

"What?!" Rome then asked in disbelief

"Oh, come on, bubble-head. We're 'invincible' remember?!" I said beginning to laugh at him

"Duch, you know, I'm sick of you always taunting me!" Rome then said as everyone snickered lowly knowing where this was about to go between us

"If you're sick, pick up a trash can, throw up, and stop talking!" I rebutted

"All I'm saying is this is crazy! Every time we get together it's high-speed chases, wrecking balls, falling cars! Now space! This shit is insane!" Rome exclaimed causing me to laugh

"Come on, put your big girl panties on!" I then said as I lifted myself onto a table

"And for the rest of you all...you guys ready to ride?" I asked while facing them all with a serious expression

A/N: I finally updated y'all. And, please read this all! 🤭 Diana's back. Brian's back. The family is back. Most importantly, The Fast Lane is back!

I've gone through some stuff with my mental health, school, and serious writer's block over the past two years. I don't want to give a sob story but I hope you guys are excited. I just want to also say THANK YOU for after these two years keeping this story alive, popular, and thriving. I appreciate you all and will always love you all! Also, unlike a lot of authors, my work is not mediocre and that's another reason it took me forever to update this story; because I want to always give my all when I write!

The next chapter is coming soon hopefully! But, keep in mind I do have a lot of new, fresh work as well!
