My eyes flutter open, ๐ฆ๐ฒ head throbbing with pain. The room is shrouded in darkness, the only source of light coming from a flickering candle on a nearby table. As ๐ tried to move, I realized that my hands were tightly bound with a rough rope, and I was seated in an old wooden chair. Panic sets in as I take in my surroundings.
Fear courses through her veins, but Rhea knows she needs to stay calm and find a way out. She strains her ears, listening intently for any sign of movement. The distant sound of hushed voices reaches her, and she realizes the hunters are nearby. They must be planning their next move.
Suddenly, the cabin door creaks open, and a group of stern-faced vampire hunters enter. Their eyes bore into Rhea, their expressions a mix of curiosity and hostility. The leader of the group steps forward, her voice dripping with disdain.
"Oh! Hello again." The woman smiled
I watched as the woman and the other hunters walked forward. "Now let's talk about those vampire brothers that you've been hanging around." She glares
Rhea's heart pounds in her chest as she tries to gather her thoughts. She knows she needs to be careful with her words. She can't afford to reveal too much, but she also can't arouse suspicion. She takes a deep breath, summoning her courage.
"I don't know what you're talking about," I responded, my voice steady despite the fear pulsing through me. "I've never been involved with any vampires. You've got the wrong person."
The hunters exchange skeptical glances, clearly unconvinced. They press on with their interrogation, firing question after question at Rhea. They want information about the vampire males she's supposedly associated with, their whereabouts, and their plans.
Rhea's mind races as she carefully chooses her words. She decides to play the role of an innocent bystander, claiming ignorance while subtly deflecting their inquiries. She knows that revealing any information could put her friends in danger.
"I'm just a regular human," Rhea insists, my voice tinged with desperation. "I don't know anything about vampire plans or whereabouts. I've never been involved in any of that."
The hunters grow increasingly frustrated, their patience wearing thin. "Okay, listen little bitch, don't play dumb with me." The woman squeezes my cheeks.
"I haven't seen these brothers in years, Mak, Malachi, Milo, and Marcus- correct?" She glances at me with a smirk.
"How do you know-
"Know them? Well, it's a pretty long story."
"How old are you?" I questioned the woman with curiosity.
"I'm 500 years old, I've been living on this shitty planet for decades." She spat
"And I want my hands on these brothers! They took everything from me!" She grew furious even more
I watched as she took a pocket knife out of her pocket, she sliced my cheek a little- causing blood to drip down.
I winced from the pain. "That's enough." A familiar voice said coming from out of the shadows.
I squinted my eyes at the dark area, trying to figure out who it was. It was Dean- my stepfather.
He came out of the shadows, his dad's body was gone. He looked like a young man. He had a handsome face and a hunter tattoo on his hand. "Dean?"
"How did you do that-
"Dean is a hunter/shapeshifter you fucking idiot." The woman spat
"He helped us Spy on you and you're family after we seen that you were shown with them."
"The latest news mentioned about a 25-year-old woman dead, they fucking covered it up as an animal attack."
"How do you know if it was them? I've encountered another Vampire before! And it was a woman."
"So you do know them?" She eyed me
I ignored her and turned my attention back to Dean who was now a younger male. "Where is my mom and brother!?" I yelled
"Safe and sound."
"I swear if you touched any of them I will-
"You'll do What?-Kill me? You won't even get to me, now be a good girl and answer my mate's question."
"I knew something was wrong with you."
"Ouch." He replied
I looked up seeing a black blur on top of the railing inside the cabin. It was so fast.
"We've got company." The woman told the other hunters who quickly grabbed their crossbows and other weapons.
"Hm, they came for her- I wonder why." Dean stared at me
Dean hurried and untied me from the chair, he pressed me against his chest- choking me. I tried to speak under his tight grasp but couldn't, my airflow was slowly closing up.
I closed my eyes feeling unconscious from the tight hold but then I felt my body collapse to the ground, I opened my eyes seeing Marcus and Mak fighting off Dean, their hands ramming into him as he tried dodging.
I ran and hid in the corner watching them fight them off.
"Hm, it's nice to see you again Dali." Malachi held one of the male hunters' heads in his hand that he decapitated.
"Burn in hell!" She yelled, stabbing Malachi in his stomach with a stake.
She rammed the stake into his stomach, deep even more. He fell on his knees eyeing the female hunter who smirked in his face.
"You killed my family! I'll make sure you suffer." Dali took the stake out of his stomach aggressively and aimed it towards his chest.
I ran towards Dali and jumped on her, making us slide across the room. " You fucking bitch!" Dali screamed
I was now on top of her, holding her arms in place. She stared at me angrily. "How could you protect and defend these monsters? They are an abomination to Earth! They kill! And feed on our loved ones." She spat
What Dali said made me ponder, I knew I shouldn't have helped these bloodsuckers.
But then I realized that they were always there for me, I didn't know what I was feeling in the moment. I was confused because another part of me didn't want them gone.
What was wrong with me?
I helped Malachi but in the past couple of days, he showed me nothing but ignorance. Why the hell am I helping him?
Why am I helping them?!
My face turned into shock once I felt a sharp pain in my stomach. I looked down at Dali who had a knife that was in me. "We could've been friends." She whispered
"No!" Mak ran towards me holding my head before it thudded on the ground.
My eyesight was becoming blurring and unease. "I'm gonna kill her." Mak placed my head on the ground gently before running off towards Dali who was running out of the cabin.
"Go with him." Milo eyed Marcus
Marcus nodded his head and flashed away.
"It's going to be alright little Rhea." Milo placed a kiss on my forehead
"It's going to be alright." Milo led his wrist towards my mouth. "Drink now." He demanded, his voice sounding aggressive.
"She's not fucking drinking it!"Malachi yelled
"Rhea drink it now!" Milo yelled
Milo forced his wrist into my mouth, the blood tasted metallic as I spit it out. "I know it's not the best but please." His eyes soften.
"For god's sake! Drink it." Malachi yelled
