"That smells great Rhea."

"Learned from the best." I winked at my Mother.

Dean and Rafe finally came downstairs, they were dressed in baseball uniforms. "I'm going to take Rafe to the field and teach him some baseball," Dean said

"Okay that's fine, be safe and back around 7:00 pm."

I watched as they left out the door, this was my chance to see what was really in the room. Dean and my eyes claimed that they had seen a library but why would he be so protective over it? Unless he's hiding something- or someone.

"Mom I got to go use the bathroom."

"Okay."

I hurried upstairs and began looking at my surroundings, I hurried to the door and tried to open it but it was locked.

I went into my mother's room to see if I could find a key. As I walked in- I noticed the differences in her room. Her bed sheets were black as well as her walls, it was so sad looking. This had to be Mak's room.

There was a long black dresser in here as well. I began exploring under her sheets, her pillows, her floors, and her clothes. But I found nothing.

But then I noticed a big crack in her hardwood floor near the side of her bed, I opened it a little and there was a box inside. "What are you doing?" My mom's voice caused me to jump, but before she could notice I closed the floor tile back.

"Get off the floor Rhea, what are you doing in my room?"

"I was looking for something."

"And this something would be in my room?" She watches me walkout

"I-

"The stuffed turkey is done and now I'm waiting for the mashed potatoes and I need you to get out." She demanded one more time

✽✽✽

I watched her go back
downstairs, I took the chance and went back but got stopped by "Marcus."

"Didn't you're mother tell you to get out?" He tilts his head with a smirk tugging his lips

"Move Marcus, this is important."

"What is exactly?"

"I think Dean is hiding something-and I want to know what it is and why it is so important."

"You know- I always thought that he was weird too but then I realized that every human being is." He chuckled softly

"But I wanted to know if you can donate some blood of yours?" He winks his eye at me.

"So now I'm a blood bag?"

"I mean- you offered."

I led him into my room and sat at the edge of my bed, beside him. I tilted my head so that my neck was visible. "I promise that I won't have you reminiscing about Malachi." He glared before digging in

"Mmm." Marcus moans softly

I winced from the pain of his fangs digging into my skin.

Marcus released his lips off of me, he wiped the excess blood off my neck and licked it off his fingers seductively. "why do you taste so good, hm?" He stared with curiosity

"You're asking me!?"

"I am actually."

"I-

"Rhea! Come downstairs- food is ready!" My mom shouted

I watched Marcus disappear fast, I ran downstairs and noticed the big food platter on the table. A huge stuffed turkey filled with peppers and herbs and stuffing. A pan of Macaroni and cheese and a pan of Hawaiian rolls.

"Mom, this smells delicious," I said sitting down

"They haven't come back yet?"

"Nope, I'm texting Dean right now- he's on his way."

"I guess we'll eat without them?" My mom asked

I nodded my head and began to dig in, the food tasted and melted on my tongue. The seasoning was perfect and tasted fresh.

"Rhea, can you go get the lemonade out of the fridge please?"

"Sure." I got up from my seat and went into the kitchen to grab the pitcher of lemonade. I stopped as I saw a girl staring right at me through the kitchen window. She was a little shorter than me, her hair was a straight jet black and she didn't keep her eyes off me. "Uh Mom, there is someone at the window staring at me."

My mom came over and stared out the window. "What are you talking about, I don't see anybody."

"She's right there!" I pointed as the anonymous girl stood.

"Stop playing around!"

"I'm not."

The unknown girl gave me a mean glance before running away. It was so creepy.. she wasn't a familiar face at all, she stared at me like I killed one of her loved ones.

My mother took the lemonade out of my hand. "Stop looking out the window, no one is there." She stated

I got frightened by the sound of the door opening, I hurried and grabbed the kitchen knife as defense.

I watched Dean and Rafe walk in with a concerned facial expression. "Rhea! What has gotten into you." She snatched the knife out of my hand

"Mom! I've seen someone out there okay!?-Dean and Rafe! Did you see anyone out there?" I asked the males.

"I didn't see anyone."

"What are you talking about crazy lady?, first when we moved in. you said that you saw someone walking inside the house and now you saw someone outside the window? I think you need therapy." Rafe sat down at the table getting ready to dig in

"I'm going outside."

"Hello?" I yelled out in the open

I heard leaves and sticks cracking near me. I spun my head around fast to see who it was.

The same girl- in the window was in a black coat, she was staring at me with her fangs revealing. She snarled before jumping on top of me.

I tried kicking her off but I just couldn't, she was too strong.

Mak and his brothers came in a flash. Marcus threw her off of me without struggling. The female vampire hissed at him aggressively.

"You wanna play? Marcus teased the girl

"Let's play." Marcus' nose flares with anger, His eyes turning bloody red.
