Be who you are, Elfstone| 𝐜𝐡. 15

Silent ensued us all as the meaning and heaviness of my words pelted down. suddenly a red-haired dwarf stood, his ax raised. "Then ... what are we waiting for?" he cried, and before any one of us could stop him, he rushed forward, bringing the mighty piece of craftmanship down upon the band of gold that cursed so many. As I expected, once the mountain dweller fell back and his ax shattered, the Ring remained to incant. It never felt the pain it should've. For a curse laid upon it the tongue of its master heavy and powerful. I huffed as a spike of pain snaked its way through my skull. Gandalf glanced at me, worried. I didn't see his eyes as my own were closed to ease the pain of gold. frodo seemed to have the same fate as he clutched his forehead. "The Ring cannot be destroyed, Gimli, son of Glóin, by any craft that we here possess. The Ring was made in the fires of Mount Doom ... only there can it be unmade."
The lord of Imladris's voice ceased the stinging pain, and I sighed appreciatively. Elrond glanced at me then the words rolled off his tongue like a doom we all feared. something we had to do before the world once more would cover in darkness. "It must be taken deep into Mordor and cast back into the fiery chasm whence it came. One of you must do this." silence was all there was. No one wanted to volunteer for this... suicide mission. Boromir seems to be the most reluctant about this mission as he mutters from his wood seat. "One does not simply walk into Mordor. Its Black Gates are guarded by more than just Orcs. There is evil there that does not sleep, and the Great Eye is ever watchful. It is a barren wasteland riddled with fire and ash and dust ... the very air you breathe is a poisonous fume. Not with ten thousand men could you do this. It is folly." I hissed as I met his gaze, the action scaring most of the council members.
Gandalf laid a comforting hand on my arms, whispering, "no, Tatsuo, hold it in. it's not your home anymore, right?" I sighed, "that's not why I hiss mithrandir. He thinks so little of us all it's saddening. we should have hope, no doubt." I whispered back. Hearing my words due to his good ears, Legolas stood and spoke, "Have you heard nothing Lord Elrond has said? The Ring must be destroyed." Gimli lept to his feet, and the offending aura resonated off him, and I turned my head to the two as a bicker started. My gaze falls upon the Ring, and I see the reflection of the members as the argument thrives. Flames then begin to lick the calm surface as the voice of Sauron starts to whisper in my mind. I suddenly feel a determined air coming off frodo, and I cast my shifter eyes to him, interested in what he wants to say. His thoughts were rambling, worried, and determined at the same time. He thinks he can do this, and then at the same time, he's afraid he will fall and be the reason the ruin fell upon our middle earth.
The council doesn't hear as he speaks faint and drowned out in the more powerful voices of the others. Then, finally, I growl and snap, "Hey, shut up!" the council turns to look at me, and I glare at them calmløy "frodo has something he wants to say," I say, crossing my arms and then averting my gaze to frodo, who already looks at me surprised. "the word is yours frodo Baggins," I say.

"I will help you bear this burden, Frodo Baggins, as long as it is yours," Gandalf says as he rises to his feet and goes to the hobbit. I smile as Aragorn stands too. "If by my life or death I can protect you, I will." he then kneels before the halfing smiling "...you have my sword." the wood elf of Mirkwood then speaks up, walking to his friend of wild "And you have my bow" I snort as I see Gimli following him and saying cheerily "And my ax." my cobalt gaze fall upon Boromir as he stands his eyes fleeting to mine for a moment then back to the hobbit. "You carry the fates of us all, little one." I see him look at Gandalf and Elrond. "If this is indeed the will of the Council, then Gondor will see it done." I chuckle as they all line up their attention adverting to me. I stand walking to stand before frodo, kneeling as Aragorn did.
"I was once a member of your uncle's company, my dear. I will be honored to fight and stand beside such a hobbit once more" frodo smiled at me, and I stood up, walking to stand beside Aragorn. Elrond looked at us, all proudness shining on his face. suddenly my ears pick up the sound of a familiar voice. "Here!" it's sam. he runs from his hiding spot and stops beside frodo. "Mr. Frodo's not going anywhere without me" I shake my head, amused as Elrond speaks his. "No, indeed ... it is hardly possible to separate you ... even when he is summoned to a secret council, and you are not." suddenly, two more halflings joins us. Merry and Pippin. "Oi! We're coming too! You'd have to send us home tied up in a sack to stop us." Merry declared and glanced up at me, smiling. I nodded back to him. "Anyway ... you need intelligence people on this sort of mission ... quest ... thing..." Pippin said, and I rose a brow. Intelligence indeed?
Elrond nodded at us all, smiling, "ten companions ... so be it." he meets my eyes, and I dip my head in honor, full thanks. "you shall be the Fellowship of the Ring" we all smile at each other then suddenly pippin's voice cuts through our own. "Great. Where are we going?" I snort and shake my head, placing a hand on the hobbit's shoulder "oh, Pippin," I sigh.
───
I walk around in the garden of Rivendell as the night rolls in. I then suddenly feel the presence of Aragorn. I smile and walk faster towards his area. I see him at a statue of a woman, fair and elven-like. I sigh soundlessly as I see Aragorn's thoughts. It's his mother... the one who died to save him—the one who made him advert his path from the white throne of Gondor. I stepped forth teh words of old I knew as I had read in books at Erebor the time I stayed there after the journey was over. when the time had come. "Anirne hene beriad i chên în. Ned Imladris nauthant e le beriathar aen. (She wanted to protect her child. She thought that in Rivendell, you would be safe.)." I say. Strider doesn't turn as I walk up behind him. "how do you know my lady?" he asks softly, neither angry nor happy. "I've read it. in the books and histories of old. And... the half-elf told me. You have nothing to hide for, Elessar... your kin is a proud one. Be proud of what you are." Aragorn then turns to me, sadness flowing in his eyes.
"I do not want that power. I have never wanted it." I took his hands in mine, looking down at them and tracing my fingers over his worn ones. "I know Aragorn. But it's not for you to decide. You are the last of that bloodline. There is no other." I then bring his hands to my chest, where my heart lets him feel it. His eyes meet mine, and we look into the pools of each other no word needs to be spoken. Finally, after a whole, I let go of his hands and place my own on his shoulder "do not fear what you are, Elessar. fear has forsaken these lands. be who you are... be the king" my voice fades out as I shimmer in the image and drift away out of the sight of the heir of Isildur.
