NO ONE P.O.V

The room was charged with tension as Junghwa's rage collided with Lisa's guilt, leaving everyone unsettled. Jungkook's silence spoke volumes, his clenched fist betraying the turmoil within him.

"What the hell did you just do?!" Junghwa yelled in anger as she pushed Lisa away but Rose pulled her away "Calm down!" She says "Calm down? Look what she had done to my brother!" She grits her teeth.

The room was tense as everyone looked at each other, Lisa looking at the floor as Jungkook closed his eyes and held his neck. He can fucking feel it, the damn mark. He can't believe it. He clenches his fist.

The superior elder looks at all the elders "Male Luna, is true that you met your wolf?" The elder asks making Junghwa scoff, she finally realizes, that all they care about is the title of the male luna, not her brother.

"Your species are shameless." She glared at Lisa who kept silent, she was lost for words. She doesn't know what to do. "Silence, human." The superior elder hissed but Junghwa stood her ground as the elder looked back at Jungkook who looked down.

"Answer me, Male Luna." she demands "Shut up..." He barely whispers making everyone look at him "What did you say?" The superior elder glared at him daringly. Jungkook grits his teeth, why is he here? Bloody hell, he should have just left when he got the chance.

An unknown voice whispered in his ears, triggering him more "You need to tell us. This is good news." the superior elder suddenly chukle making everyone frown "You had met your wolf, and the Alpha Queen had marked you." The superior elder clapped her hands

"Perfect, now all we need is your devotion to the species! And your role will be completed." Everyone was stunned by her words, including Lisa. What is wrong with this old lady? Doesn't she understand the weight of this matter?

The anger? The unwillingness?

"Ma'am, what are you-" Before Lisa could finish, she was cut off by the superior elder. "With all due respect, Alpha Queen, you should think more about your people, you have found your mate, you can't leave the sit empty for too long." The elder said.

"It was for the greater good." She said, telling Lisa to decide for her people, by sacrificing his rights. Junghwa clenched her fist, trying to hold back her tears. They don't care... Lisa doesn't care. She doesn't fight for her brother.

Junghwa questions herself, she's indeed wrong. She shouldn't have agreed at first. Lisa was conflicted but she didn't say anything because she knew, the superior elders were right in a way. Ever since she found Jungkook, prosperity starts to fade.

Rogue attack, pack war and the longer she takes to have the male luna, the worse it would be. they need the male luna's blessings to remain prosper and the only way is through a proper ritual. Lisa looks at Jungkook who clenches his fist.

The elder also glances at the male Luna as well and smiles almost meaningfully. It's your fate, you won't defy it right?" The superior elder said it. Jungkook felt like he would laugh at himself as he smirked and finally stood up.

"Well, of course." Everyone was surprised by his answer. He forced a smile but it was undeniable when they saw the hatred flaring in his eyes. He looks at everyone in the room, remembering the faces that did not side with him, all of them.

Until his gaze lends on Seokjin and Jisoo who looked at him with a worried expression, he scoffed deep inside, the fact that they left him like this proved how humanity had gone in Jungkook's eyes.

He then looks at his little sister. the one that he has cherished all his life. Loved and cared for, the one that brought him to his dismay today. He smiled almost pathetically, he hated himself because among everyone in this room, he could hate everyone but her, his little sister.

He went to his sister and patted her head, almost telling her, that it was okay. Junghwa felt her tears fall slowly when she looked at him, the touch was full of love of a brother to her. It does not lessen even a bit.

Jungkook let go of her and walked towards Lisa. He didn't even look at her as he stood by her side. Rejection? There's no use... now there's a mark on his neck, he would be in pain too. The elders are thrilled as they immediately discuss the ceremony while everyone uncomfortably listens.

Lisa who just kept silent suddenly heard a voice in her head. "Congratulation, Alpha... you own me..." She felt a shiver down her spine upon hearing his voice.

"Like a fucking object."

"You're upset."

Rose asked when everyone had left, including Lisa and Jungkook, leaving only the 3 couples in the room. Jimin looks at Lisa "Of course... This is unfair and cruel even." Jimin said as he watched the elders leave through the window.

Jimin turns toward them "What is wrong with Lisa? What is she thinking? She doesn't even speak a word to protect her mate-" Rose cut her off "Don't speak of her like that." She frowned as Jimiin huffed.

"Of course, you would defend her. You're a werewolf and she's your queen, while me? him? We're just weaklings in the hierarchy, somebody below you." Jimin said, "I never said that!" Rose argues "You act like it!" Jimin argued making Rose go silent

"All of you act like it!" He points at everyone in the room. "You all respect Lisa as a queen and you respect Jungkook for the title he beholds. Not for who he is!" Jimin says feeling hurt by the situation.

"The greater good? Is he an object?" Jimin looked at Seokjin "You were his friend! His Hyung!" Jimin points at the male "But why were you the most silent? Have you not considered how he felt?" Jimin questions "He's alone..."

Lisa ran through the forest in her wolf form, the humungous black wolf ran through the forest like shadows, unnoticeable yet restless.

What the hell did we just do Akira?

She screams in her head wanting to get all thoughts out of her mind

Why did we do that?

Yet Akira had been silent since the marking incident

Where are you Akira?

Where are you?!

ANSWER ME!

The huge wolf suddenly stumbles and falls. Lisa turns to her human self as she lifts her gaze. She's at her comfort spot, the peaceful clift that she always goes to. The moon was shining ever so brightly as she got up and sat down under a tree.

So many happened in one night and it's all overwhelming. Lisa felt out of breath, she's never like that. It was not tired from running, but it was an exhaustion that she felt from all the emotion inside her.

She looked at the moon as everything that happened flashed in her mind. "Why did all this happen?" She felt like asking the moon but it sounded like she was asking herself. Lisa looked down as she tried to see and judge everything that happened.

Deep down, she was delighted to know that Jungkook had met the white wolf, it would bring them closer to each other but she was disappointed when he wanted to lock the wolf away. She just lost grip on Akira and it happened.

That is one thing but it got worse. Lisa wondered why didn't she defy the superior elder for him. Her mate? Oh, Lisa knew exactly why, because everything she was told to do since she was a child was for the 'greater good'

That, even if it was about her mate, she didn't defy because it was for the greater good. 'The greater good' is her duty. That's what she thought. Everything that they did to her was for the greater good.

Lisa felt a wave of sadness swell in her heart as she looked at the moon. She chuckles "Is it... really for the greater good?" She whispers "If so... "

"Does the elder's deeds of killing my parents also for the greater good?"

Jungkook sat down on the bed as he stared at the scissors in his hand. Lots of thoughts are in his mind but only one is so loud in his head.

Why am I still here?

Jungkook's eyes are empty. No matter where did he go, or what status he holds, he have no place in this fucked up world.

What is my sin to deserve all this?

He questions fate. His mind went back to Junghwa, "She's fine..." he whispered to himself "She's all grown up, mature and clever... She'll be fine." He told himself. He moved the scissors to his neck.

Everything in his life flashed before his eyes. The happy family that turns into a nightmare, the hitting he gets, the ambition he had to let go, the penny he worked for, the begging, the insult, the lie, and the betrayal.

He hates it all.

But no matter what he does it just stays miserable. He wants to let go... He wants to be free... He wants to die... and this is his chance and before he can do that a sinister voice speaks with a meaningful chuckle. "Dying would be a loss, my lord..."
