"Do you wanna know our percents?" Evie asked Harry as she laid upside down on the Gryffindor common room couch after he snuck her in with the invisible cloak.
"Percents for what?" Harry asked from where he sat next to her, attempting to catch up on homework but finding her rather distracting.
"Our zodiac compatibility percents, of course." Evie said as if he was stupid for asking. Harry cracked a smile at her words, adjusting himself better to look down, watching her flip through the notebook with moons and stars on the front, "We're only seventy five percent for trust, but ninety percent for communication."
"Sounds... accurate." Harry spoke, letting his mind race with the wonder of what Evie might not be trusting him with, "Is that all?"
"No." Evie said as her eyebrows frowned in concentration, flipping the page again, "We're exactly ninety-nine percent in emotions and intimacy."
Harry chocked on air at her words, sitting up straight as he cough, his face flushed. Evie looked at him as if he was a complete lunatic, clearing her throat at his actions, "Ninety percent in shared activities and eighty in values."
"Would you reckon thats accurate?" Harry asked, forcing himself to stop chocking and pretend she hadn't said the words that sent him over board.
"Course I do, the signs do not lie Harry, they are completely correct." Evie said as she rolled over to sit up straight again, "It's what I believe most in, i'd trust my life with zodiac signs and astrology."
"Oh yeah, right." Harry nodded quickly, "Completely- completely accuracy we have."
"I should tell Ron and Hermione theirs." Evies said as she leaned back on the couch, staring down at the notebook, "Perhaps it would make them open their eyes more."
"How do you mean?" Harry asked as Evie looked to him with wide eyes, grabbing his shoulders with a crazy look.
"You're the most oblivious person." she said, throwing her legs on either side of his lap without thinking, Harry staring up at her with wide eyes, "Why can't you see when people love each other?"
"Love each other? They do not love each other." Harry said with a shake of his head, his body shaking from the way Evie was sat on top of him.
"See, you're oblivious." Evie said with a knowing look, "You probably don't think Dean and Seamus are in love either, do you? Or Luna and Neville? Or Fred and Angelina?"
"Well I..." Harry trailed off, stopping for a moment with a odd look, "No, suppose I didn't suspect that."
"I knew it before they even looked at each other, wanna know why?" Evie asked as she relaxed more on top of him, a knowing look across her face, "Their signs are all very comparable, very obvious."
"Yes, v-very." Harry stuttered, wanting to yell at Evie so badly for the effect she had on him, so close to his skin with her, so close he could smell soft florals from her perfume mixed with burning leaves from the amount of time she spent outside.
"Ugh, Umbridge drives me mad! How dare the not believe in it when it's right there infront of her." Evie groaned in annoyance as she fell toward the other side of the couch, getting off of Harry as he sighed in relief yet missed having her so close all at once, "You think i'd get in loads of trouble if I poison her tea next time I get a detention?"
"Evie, don't." Harry said to her with a knowing look, "You will definitely get into loads of trouble."
"Okay what if turn her pink suit blue?" Evie said as Harry gave her a knowing look, causing Evie to groaned dramatically and roll onto the floor, "Can I do anything?"
"You can stay out of detention for one." Harry said knowingly, sitting up some to look down at her with a raise of his eyebrows.
"You can stay out of detention for one." Evie mocked in his voice, watching him stand as she held out her arms. Harry helped pull her to her feet before turning and shutting the book behind him.
"Come on, Angelina will ring my neck if i'm late." Harry said as he found the cloak, stepping forward.
"Don't miss me too much while i'm gone." Evie joked as he threw the invisible cloak over her with a small laugh.
"I won't." he said, getting a smack in the back of the head, "Ow, okay, sorry."
"I'm not picking a side, because I don't wanna hide, so many beautiful people, maybe i'm not lethal." Evies cheers were horrible at the Gryffindor vs Slytherin quidditch game, not that they were ever really great. Evie sat with Hermione, listening to the girl giggle.
"You have to pick a side, Evie." Lavender Brown spoke from behind the two, "Especially sense you're house isn't playing."
"Not true, I'll cheer for whoever the stars tell me too, and they sadly aren't out yet." Evie said as she squinted her eyes up at the sun, giving the curly haired girl a smile before she turned around again.
"She's probably having a hard time knowing if she wants to cheer for Draco or Harry." Padma spoke in a low whisper to Lavender by her side. Evie knew neither of them were meaning to be rather rude, and Evie wouldn't have took it that was if she knew it wasn't true. Sitting down Evie avoided Hermiones eye, basically being able to feel the subtle judgmental stare and already hear the lecture about Draco that she'd gotten many times before.
"Weasley cannot save a thing, he cannot block a single ring, Thats why Slytherin all sing: Weasley is our king!" The taunting song came from the Slytherin stands, mainly being shouted by Pansy Parkinson of all people.
"Poor Ron, they're throwing him off his game." Evie said as she watched Ron miss quite a few shots, not being the best at blocking either, "Maybe I should go say something?"
"Oh, what would you say?" Hermione asked her with a raise of her eyebrows.
"You're right." Evie said with a sigh, "They'd probably just end up hurting my feelings."
Lee spoke over the speakers as each pass and shot was made, Slytherin and Gryffindor seemed to be tied at this point. Angelina was carrying the team, Ron was struggling and Harry was distracted by trying to make sure Ron was all right.
Evie let out a cheer when Draco made a shot, clapping loudly and Hermione gave her a look, the whispering of Lavender and Padma heard from behind the two again.
"Harry's gonna pull through, I know he will." Evie reassured herself as she watched him leave his original rout in going after the snitch, circling Ron quickly as another score went to Slytherin.
"Weasley was born in a bin, he always lets the quaffle in!" new lyrics went though the stands as Evie eyed them, she wanted to say something so bad but held herself against it, knowing she couldn't do much. Angelina began to yell at Harry for abandoning the snitch, shouting for him to go on.
"Cmon Harry." Evie said as she bounced her leg, "Don't be a hero."
"Weasley was born in a bin!" Draco chanted the song from where he was on the field, close enough to Evie for her to make out his words. She felt embarrassed on her sake for not saying anything, guilty for not standing up for Ron in the moments.
Evie sighed as she squeezed her hands together after Harry missed the chance to block a Slytherin goal. Ron soon after let in two more shots, Slytherin going above Gryffindor by a lot. Harry took off after the snitch once again, knowing it was the only thing that would save them at this point.
"He'll catch it." Evie spoke mainly to herself as she pulled the gloves onto her hands a bit more for warmth, "He's a Leo, he's got to have all the attention on him"
Katie Bell scored, gaining a point to Gryffindor again.
"She's good." Hermione said, Katie coming in a close second compared to Angelina, "Poor Ron."
"He'll be okay." Evie spoke, though she didn't completely know if that was true, "It's his first game, they were all nervous their first game, I believe in him."
"Weasley was born in a bin, he always lets the quaffle in, Weasley will make sure we win!"
"Go Harry!" Evie said as she shot to her feet, yelling loudly and clapping for the boy as he finally found the snitch, his broom speeding up as he went after it, his hand out reached, surly causing a pain in his arm. Draco caught Evie cheering for the Potter boy, letting out a angry growl as he took off as well, "Oh Merlin, why did I say anything."
"Harry's got this." Hermione said, though she didn't seem to reassured. Evie watched intensely, not knowing if she should cheer for the two of them or just let it go. She went with her second option, her foot tapping horribly as she watched the two get in neck and neck together, the snitch not far from either of them.
It was hard to tell at first, the two so close together it was impossible to see who grabbed it. When Harry circled the white haired boy, Evie saw the golden snitch in the Potter boys hand. Evie let out a yell as she stood to her feet, cheering loudly and cheering alongside the Gryffindors who were nice enough to allow her to sit with them.
Evie hurried down the steps, pushing her way into the field as she met Harry on the field with the rest of the team, wrapping him in a tight hug that caused him to stumble, "Did you hear me cheering for you? Let me see that sucker."
Harry kept a arm around her waist as Evie took the snitch, examining it as she kissed Harry's right check proudly and handing the snitch back to him with a beaming smile.
"We won, Harry, we won!" Angelina sounded so much like Oliver as she patted Harry hard on the back, taking the snitch for herself in joy.
"Saved Weasleys neck, have you?" Draco asked as he walked toward the group, Evie was quick to let Harry go and take a few steps away, "Ive never seen a worse keeper, but he was born in a bin, did you like my lyrics, Potter?"
"Draco." Evie warned him with a small look, "Just stop, you still have more games."
"Course we will, meaning I have time to write a few more verses." Draco mocked, barely even looking at her as he simply focused on taunting Ron and Harry, "We wanted to but we couldn't find rhymes for fat and ugly, we wanted to sing about his mother."
Evie gapped at his words, hating herself for not standing up for Molly, for keeping her mouth shut for reasons she wish she didn't know. Ron threw his broom down angrily, making his way over before Angelina said something to him, making him stop. Luna made her way to Evies side, the large lion hat on her head weighing her down in the slightest.
Fred and George seemed to have the same thing in their mind, marching forward before Angelina spoke again, "Leave it. Evie, could you control him?"
"Sorry." Evie mumbled under her breath as Harry watched her with droopy eyes, making her way toward Draco to stand before him.
"Would you just stop, let it go, please." she begged him, the two only standing a few inches apart as she attempted to get him to just walk away.
"You must be pretty happy about this one, aren't you?" Draco spoke in a low, angry whisper down at her, "Your boyfriend got another win in, didn't he?"
"You're being ridiculous." Evie spoke with a shake of her head, "Let's just go, i'll come with you."
"Your fat mother couldn't come? Your loser father could afford it?" Draco mocked over his shoulder as him and Evie began to walk away. George lunged at him, Harry grabbed him while Katie, Angelina, and Alicia all struggled to hold Fred back as well.
"Evie, come here." Hermione said quickly when Draco began to mock Harry's dead mother, reminding him she was dead. Hermione and Luna pulled Evie away from the scene just before Harry and George had attacked him, Harry drew his wand and sent a hard punch to his stomach while George went for his face. Evies mouth dropped slightly, though Draco might have deserved it, the last thing she expected was for Harry to attack him in the painful way he was.
"Harry, stop!" Evie yelled at the Potter boy, her voice was pained and different as she shrugged Hermione off her arm, hurrying forward only to have Angelinas strong hold grab her back while Madam Hotch yelled at the two after Harry casted a spell onto Draco that had him knocked over backwards. Fred was still being restrained by the multiple catchers while George and Harry were forcefully yanked from Draco, leaving the boy bloody and bruised.
Evie pushed Angelina away as she moved past everyone, going to Dracos side quickly. Harry couldn't hear what she was saying, only making out that her voice sounded different then what he was use to, more upset and scratchy then normal. He began to realize what he did, realizing that hurting Draco wasn't just hurting him, he was also hurting Evie.
"She's angry at you, mate." Ron spoke as him and Harry stood in the hallway, the door to the hospital wing open enough for the two to make out Evie laying with Dracos in the small hospital bed, "She shouldn't be though."
"I didn't mean to." Harry said with a sigh, regretting letting his anger get to him, "What do I say to her?"
"Bloody hell, I don't know." Ron said with a shrug of his broad shoulders, "Shes overreacting, Malfoy deserved that."
"Yeah." Harry agreed with a huff, anger building up in his chest as he watched the way Evie held Draco, his head laid on her chest while she cradled his bruised body, Harry knew he was only letting her do so because neither of them knew Ron and Harry were so near by, "Still, I should have known, we were just talking about all this at christmas, I've completely ruined it with her now."
"Maybe." Ron said with a shrug as Harry gave him a look of disbelief, "What? You said it."
"You're not supposed to agree with me." Harry said to him with a annoyed look before looking back toward Evie whos mouth was moving now, angrily scolding Draco yet comforting him in her arms at the same time, "How do I talk to her without him around? He's gonna milk this so she doesn't leave his side."
"Don't know, mate." Ron said again as he patted Harry's back with a tight lipped smile, "She should come around."
"Do you think their signs are more connected?" Harry spoke out loud, thinking about the high percentages Evie told him this morning, knowing she had to have checked her percentages with Draco and couldn't help but wonder if they were higher.
"What?" Ron asked with a odd look, his stomach grumbling in hunger from missing the food in the common room to stop Harry from doing something stupid.
"Nothing." Harry said quickly with a sigh, taking one last look at the two as his stomach flipped at the way Dracos hands danced away on her slightly exposed sides, "Let's just go."
And they did.
