Being brought back to the Malfoy Manor after only three months of dating was not something Evie had expected. Sure, Draco took things fast as did she but Evie hadn't even mention the boy to her parents yet and somehow, Draco said enough for them to want to meet her.

Course, Evie took it as something sweet, thinking he cared enough to talk to his mother about her. And he did, he did talk to her about Evie. Expressing his worry about his fathers approval that was, not about the way she'd talk to the stars and told him about his birth chart.

Lucious Malfoy was the biggest part of Draco and Evies small relationship. Everything they did, he was in the back of Dracos mind, haunting him in a way. Evie was a pure blood, she came from a family of Slytherins and yet was sorted into Ravenclaw. She spoke her mind and rarely let anyone walk all over her, she never missed a chance to say what she was thinking.

Draco knew his father would hate that with a passion.

It was the reason he brought her around so quickly, to see ahead of times if they had the chance of a longer relationship. Draco did actually like Evie, in a way that made him hate her as well. He liked that she was snappy when she was angry, liked that she knew the right things to say even in the worst situations. She was kind to him when he wasn't kind to her, and he liked that.

Lucious didn't like Evie one bit, he said it to you face even. Told her she was obnoxious and a lunatic. He didn't understand imagination and he took Evie as a threat to the family rather then a light to be shined down on them. It hurt Evie, it really did but it didn't hurt nearly as bad as what came just a few days later.

"Who cares, Draco, he can't make all your decision." Evie was attempting so hard to change Dracos mind, trying to make him see that she cared enough to want to try harder for them.

"Evie, I can't." his hands were on her shoulders, his freezing hands on her freezing shoulders, "You don't understand."

"Then talk to me, you always talk to me." Evie begged him. It was true, Draco talked to her all the time about Merlin knows what, the only time they never spoke to each other was when they sat on the Astrology tower.

"I can't." he repeated himself, looking down at her in the slightest, "He doesn't approve."

"So what? He'll warm up to me, i'll go back and try harder." Evie went on, a look a hurt across her face as she stood before him in the snow. He broke the news to her at the Yule Ball after she lead them outside to look at the stars.

"You don't understand." Draco repeated something he'd already said before once again, "Its not simple like you're thinking."

"You said you liked me, why would you lead me on just to break up with me three months in? Our zodiac signs are comparable, Gemini's love ideas and Aquarius are full of them! Draco, come on." Evies hands were on his face, soft and easy while her eyes began to water. She hated herself for getting so attached to someone who was far from a good person. Draco was cruel to her for so long, cruel to her for choosing Ravenclaw. He was even worse to others, horrible even. Yet over time he warmed up to her, showing her the type of passion, comfort, security, and reassurance she needed in life. She liked him for that, she liked him a lot.

"He'll..." Draco didn't wanna say what he knew would happen if he kept a girl around his father made clear his hatred for, "He doesn't go down without a fight, it's not gonna be something you want to involve yourself in."

"So let it, i'll fight for you." Evie tried again, Dracos hands coming up to grab her hands to pull from his face. He stared at her, dead silence between the two. He was holding back pain while hers was written all over her face. Leaning over Draco kissed her forehead gently before he gave her one last look, turning away so easily yet so painfully, leaving her in the snow, heartbroken.

It was safe to say Evie really freaking hated Christmas time this year.

"I have to warn you." Harry spoke after he met Evie at the burrow before the two apparated to the new location with the help of the twins who were taking off down the hall, avoiding a loud greeting after how off Evie seemed in her letter, "You know my god father..."

"Yes, you've told me about him." Evie nodded her head, walking slowly with him, "Sirius Black."

"Yes." Harry nodded with a clear of his throat, "You don't... do you believe what the Daily Profit says?"

Harry knew he should have ran this by Evie well before, but he didn't want to effect her chances of coming for christmas.

"Not after you've told me he didn't do all those things." Evie spoke to him as her eyebrows knitted together, "You told me the truth, didn't you?"

"Yes, yes, yes of course." Harry said quickly, seeing as though she got the wrong impression, "I just hadn't been sure if you believe me."

"It's a horrible habit but I tend to believe whatever someone tells me, hard time believing someone would lie to me." Evie nodded her head as Harry went to speak before she cut him off, "Why do you ask? Is this where he's been hiding?"

Harry gapped at her, while he told Evie about Sirius, he didn't tell her he knew where the man was hidden from being taken back to Azkaban. The two had stopped in the hallway together, Harry's wide eyes behind his glasses as his mouth gapped.

"Don't worry, Harry. I'm not gonna tell anyone, who would I turn your secrets over to?" Evie asked him with a small laugh. Harry felt guilty for where his mind immediately went to. Evie caught on as her face fell, eyes dropping, "We don't speak much about you, we usually just....You won't have to worry, I wouldn't tell him any of your business without your blessing."

"Brilliant, you are." Harry said with wide eyes at her.

"I know." Evie answered with a small smirk, her spirits uplifting in the slightest bit of way, "The stars helped me figure it out. I was trying to draw them, though i'm not the best drawer, and somehow I came out with what looked sort of like your godfathers face. I put my clues together and wondered why Ginny didn't answer my letters over the summer, saying she was elsewhere with her family. Figured the much after that he'd been hidden with the Weasleys considering how close all of you are. Do tell me though, my mind isn't in the best shape right now, what is this place?"

"His old house in London, not nearly as homey as the burrow but much safer for him." Harry said, the loud laugher from Molly in the kitchen making the two realize they needed to wrap this up soon before someone came looking for them. Harry mentioned getting Evie himself, they knew he hadn't been gone too long since the twins returned, "And your holidays? At home."

"You know." Evie shrugged. Harry didn't know, but he could imagine how she felt, "The stars kept me company, we didn't travel this year. Mum said if they brought me to Malfoy Manor with them today that i'd probably be murdered, the only logical thing shes said all year."

"I'm glad- erm, glad you weren't murdered." Harry spoke awkwardly, he wanted so badly to tell her he was glad she was here. Evie smiled as she nodded her head in agreement, the two walking side by side again into the kitchen.

Sirius perked his head up at the sight of the pair, watching them walk in together. Evies mouth was moving a mile a minute, talking Harry's ear off while he was pink in the face. Their presence was soon known as Molly let out a yell.

"Oh, she's here! Evie, darling, hello!" Molly said as she kissed Evies cheek gratefully, "When Ron said you'd be joining I was so happy, do tell me what my future holds."

"She's not a fortune teller, Mum!" the twins said on sync as Molly waved them off.

"Well, you're a Scorpio." Evie confirmed, Harry at her side, listening in amazement, "Your sign usually is head strong about what they want and achieved it by any means necessarily, it's especially common within woman such as yourself."

"She's got you spot on, Molly." Arthur called from the table as their kids laughed, being waved off by Molly who listened so closely to Evie.

"So, i'll conclude that if there is something you are feeling strongly about you shouldn't hold back, going for it will be the only thing to ease your mind." Evie said as Molly's eyes softened, smiling widely as she kissed both Evies checks.

"Hear her? Genius girl, so beautiful, yes, yes, for you, my dear." Molly said as she wrapped a blue scarf around Evies neck, the colors of Ravenclaw, making Evie blushed.

"Thank you." Evie thanked her, hugging her tightly as the woman grinned and rubbed the girls, who didn't get much motherly love, back.

"And Harry, for you, for you." Molly spoke as she shoved the present into Harry's arms. Harry laughed as he thanked her, Molly hurrying to grab the others. Evie smiled at Harry, waiting for him to lead her toward the table, which he did with a faint brush to the back of her scared hand.

"A toast! A christmas toast! To Mr.Harry Potter, without whom, I would not be here." Arthur spoke from the end of the table. Molly hurried to put cups of pumpkin juice into Evie and Harry hands, standing by her hushed who was still in bad shape, "Harry."

"Harry." Everyone said as they rose their glasses, Evie made sure to bump hers with Harry's before drinking.

"Harry." Sirius spoke after the others did, making sure to give the boy a small wink.

"Go on." Evie urged Harry, seeing as though he wanted to escape to talk to his godfather , "I'll be fine in here."

"I can stay for a bit until you settle." Harry spoke to her quickly, turning in the slightest so they were more face to face.

"I can handle a few Weasleys, we'll talk later." Evie smiled at him softly, letting her hand squeeze his before she walked to sit next to Hermione.

Sirius's old home was something Evie had grown fond to quickly. She enjoyed the huge fireplace that had a warm, bright fire burning. Evie ran it by Molly that she wished to sleep near it, can't remembering a time she was allowed to. Molly agreed as long as Evie didn't wonder outside of the house, making her a small bed on the couch.

"I wanted to tell you goodnight." Harry said with a clear of his throat, making his presence known. Evie looked over her shoulder to find him in his pajamas, standing awkwardly in the hallway.

"Come look at this fire, it's the most beautiful thing i've ever seen." Evie said as she looked back at it, within a few seconds Harry had sat down next to her and staring at the fire, "Do you see it?"

"See what?" Harry asked, only seeing a burning fire that was staring to burn his eyes to tears.

"The message behind it, of course." Evie said as though he was the odd one, "It's saying that a burning heart doesn't always last, such as the fire here will not always last but can return if you allow it."

"You heard all that by just looking at a fire?" Harry asked, in a joking matter but Evie took it very seriously as she nodded.

"I believe everyone gets a new messages, look closely and tell me what you feel." Evie spoke, putting her hand on his back and urging him to move closer. Harry leaned closer to the fire, thinking of a scenario in his head that went along with it.

"Well, it's very beautiful." Harry said with a clear of his throat, "Yet seems so dangerous."

"Perhaps you find something beautiful and dangerous all at once." Evie concluded for him as Harry shook his head quickly, staring at her.

"I find you beautiful." he said, spitting it out fast to prevent stuttering, "And i'm putting you in danger."

Evie smiled sadly, staring at him for a moment, "It might shock you a little but i'm quite drawn to danger, have you noticed?"

"Very much so, yes." Harry said as he blinked, flicking his eyes to her lips for a moment, catching her do the same. Harry leaned in first, fluttering his eyes shut to prevent himself from watching her. He felt her lips barley brush his before she yanked her head back, looking away with a sad look.

"Ugh, i'll head to bed." Harry spoke in pure embarrassment, humiliated by his actions as he rose to his feet.

"Wait, Harry." Evie said as she caught his arm, standing as well, quickly.

"I misread things, my fault, i'm sorry." he apologized, trying to walk away but Evie pulled him back in place forcefully, with a amount of strength he did not expect her to have.

"You didn't." Evie shook her head quickly, forcing him to look at her, "I wanted to kiss you."

"You pulled away." Harry spoke with a confused face, still a rosy red from the embarrassment he was still feeling.

"Not because I didn't want to." Evie spoke quickly, realizing her words didn't make any sense by the look on his face, "I just... I don't think i'm ready yet."

Harry's face softened, realizing her words that she so did not want to say. He felt guilty for not taking it into consideration either, "Last time I kissed anyone they ended up hurting me badly, i'm still getting over that, i'm sorry."

"You don't have to explain yourself." Harry said quickly as his hands found her elbows gently, feeling her tense then relax, "Not to me."

"I do like you, in more then just a friend way." Evie was the one to flush when she spoke, "I just can't yet, I need to fix myself."

Harry flushed, a small smile onto his face as he looked down to hide himself, "I like you too, a lot."

Evie smiled, grabbing his hands as she looked toward the couch, "Do you wanna stay a little longer?"

"Yes please." Harry said, meeting her eyes as he smiled just as soft as she did. Evie flushed as she pulled him softly toward the couch, sitting down and letting him sit next to her. It was a awkward moment before they figured things out, Evie taking control as she draped his arm around her shoulders while her head fell onto his.

Then things just fell together ever so perfectly.

my heart
is killing me
right now.
i'm so in love
with so much
of evies story
line. i try to
put meaning and
important topics
behind each of my
books and i've decided
that this one needs to
express that falling
in love with someone
and having your
heartbroken is not
something you can
come back from
easily by just replacing
them with another, i
feel like that is shown
so much and is really
unrealistic and a standard
others should not
have.
i plan on letting evie
and harry have their
moments but i don't
want to rush them
too much, i'm definitely
gonna get more into
how deeply evie truly
did feel for draco and
show how shes wanting
to heal her broken heart
before she allows herself
to give it to another.
