✧0.17| Quidditch Cheers and Astronomy Tower Fears

"Harry!" Evie said quickly as she pushed through a pair of girls connected at the hands, saying a quick sorry as she jogged. Harry turned at the sound of her voice, grinning as she hurried toward him in the hall, "Hermione told me about Professor Slughorns class, liquid luck is extremely powerful."

They laced hands and began walking together, Harry nodded his head in agreement, "I'm saving it for something, not sure yet."

"Just go ease on it." she warned as he nodded, "How'd you do it anyways? No one in all the years could manage to get the potion right."

Harry looked hesitant as he looked around the hallway, turning with a grin her way, "Are you on your free class?"

"The Half Blood Prince." Evie read the old book, leaning on Harry's shoulder and flipping the pages, "Where'd you even find this?"

"Dunno, Slughorns class." Harry said with a shrug as Evie met his eye for a moment with a odd look, "Whats that face for?"

"Seems sketchy, what if he's trying to trick you?" Evie asked with a eyebrow raise, Harry rolled his eyes as she gave him a look of disbelief, "Don't you roll your eyes at me."

"Evie, this could be my only way of passing potions." he tried to reason with her, moving to sit closer to her on the couch in the room of requirements, looking down at the book with her.

"I'm just saying, I don't want it to backfire on you." she said with a shrug as he dropped his head on her shoulder, "Potions is extremely difficult though, I couldn't get it right either."

"We could share." he said, nudging her head with his own, "So we could both pass."

Evie grinned as his hair tickled her neck, "You must be mad, my luck i'd get caught."

Harry giggled at her words as he sat up, turning to face her better, "Did you get invited into the Slugclub?"

"Yeah, this morning at breakfast." Evie nodded her head, "I think only because my parents where in it way back."

"Don't say that." Harry said to her with a nudge of the knee, "Maybe Slughorn just likes you, he'd be a lunatic not to."

Evie grinned, lacing her hand with him and laying in his lap with a sigh. Harry took notice of her tired eyes, getting darker underneath as they shut every few seconds. Harry could sense something was wrong, something she wasn't wanting to tell him at all and would refuse to. He worried for the sake of his girlfriend, running a gentle hand through her hair, "I'll wake you before the bell rings if you want to sleep."

Evie hummed as she looked up at him with a shake of her head, "No, wanna stay awake and talk to you."

Harry flushed at her words, "I'll be okay, you go to sleep."

She didn't argue, mainly because she was ridiculously tired that it was slowly making her sick. Sitting up she got into his lap, legs across the couch as he held her close, head in his neck. Harry leaned his own head against hers, running a gentle hand through her honey locks as the smell of blueberries took over his nose.

Later that night Evie made her way to the astronomy tower, hoping to catch a certain Malfoy boy there. As her feet echoed up the stairs, she came face to face with his wand, "Easy, it's just me."

"What are you doing here?" he asked her with a glare across his face, stuffing his wand back in his pocket, "Shouldn't you be snogging Potter somewhere?"

"Already have." Evie shrugged as his eyes rolled, turning away from her to stand on the balcony, "I came to see you."

Draco scoffed, keeping his back to her, "Did you now? And why could that possibly be?"

Evies feet echoed as she walked to stand by his side, trying to force some form of eye contact but he was avoiding her, "I want to help you."

"Help me?" he asked her in disbelief, turning to glare at her, "I don't want any form of help form you!"

"Whats that suppose to mean?" she asked with a hurt look that was covered by defense across her face, "You have absolutely nothing to be angry at me for, if anything i'm the one that should be selfish enough to let you get yourself killed for what you did last year."

"Oh, give it a break." he rolled his eyes at her, puffing his chest out to her as she did the same, "Get myself killed? You're out of your mind."

"I'm out of my mind because I know you're too soft for something the Dark M-" Evie began in a snapping tone at him, gasping suddenly as his hands grabbed her shoulders, holding her against the railing. Evie looked over her shoulder, with one shove she'd fall to her death, "Let me go."

"I'm not weak." he glared at her, staring into her bright eyes as his nose twitched, "You don't have a say in things anymore."

He tightened his grip on her, Evies feet trying to grip the floor tighter as her upper half was basically leaning off the tower.

"I don't want your help, I want you to stay out of it." he spoke with one final glare, yanking her Evie up quickly as she breathed heavy, gripping his body and moving away from the edge. When she caught her breath she shoved him away from her, a look of hurt and disbelief swarming in her eyes.

"I can't believe you just did that to me." she said after a moment of silence, Draco hadn't seen her look so hurt by him in her life. His face flattened for a moment, seeing the real fear in her eyes as she wrapped herself in her own arms.

"Evie-" he began but was ignored, her feet running down the stairs and back into her dorm room in no time.

"Hi." Harry greeted Evie as she leaned over the bleacher railing to press a peck to his lips, "I wasn't sure you'd come."

"Well, Ron could probably use a little encouragement." Evie said as she looked down and him, looking out at the Weasley boy who was fumbling with his broom stick in nervousness, "I made him a little cheer."

"Brilliant, he'll love it." Harry grinned up at her, looking out at the possibly new team recruits, "This lot seems a bit weak."

"Yeah, not Ginny though." Evie said as she nodded toward the only one that seemed to have a sense of grasp and seriousness, "With Angelina, Oliver, and the twins gone it's gonna be a tough year."

"I think you're right." he said with a sigh, adjusting the jersey on his body, "Find you after?"

"Good luck, captain." Evie teased with a flirty wink, making Harry flush in the face as he jogged off toward the group, attempting to get them quiet.

"Proud of him, are you?" Hermione grinned as Evie joined her on the bleachers, "He's a bit nervous about being captain."

"Ridiculously proud, I just don't want to embarrass him." Evie said, hugging her Ravenclaw jacket closer to her as her and Hermione pressed together to get some warmth, "He'll be okay, Ron too."

"Hope so." Hermione said with a sigh, sending a small wave toward Ron as he looked in their direction.

"Pisces are better at water sports than anything. If Ron can't get a grasp on Quidditch I can always try to convince Dumbledore to get a swim team going." Evie said with a nod of her head, picking at the nail polish on her hands as she watched Harry speak to the group, "Maybe with the Merpeople, very misunderstood creatures."

"You sound like Hagrid." Hermione laughed before it turned into a cringed expression when the quaffle flew past Ron. Evie tapped her foot, watching as Cormac threw it past him again.

"That's it." the Ravenclaw said as she threw her scarf off, standing to her feet and cupping her hands around her mouth, "He likes to eat and can play quidditch in his sleep! Don't try to compete, you'll only get beat! Mess with Weasley and you'll get queasy!"

Ron flushed as he looked out at her with a forced smile, giving her a thumbs up. Harry slapped his forehead with a shake of his head while Hermione pulled her back down with a laugh, "Best ones you've had yet."

"Thank you, madam." Evie said with a bow and a tip of her invisible hat.
