❝so tell me when you hear

one that knows❝

❝GUESS, WHO DOESN'T have to wear bandages anymore!"

Willow ran to the place Yaya had pointed her to, assuring her that Miguel would be there, and, well, he obviously was, but not alone. The girl scrunched her eyebrows in disorientation and also tried her best not to grimace at the sight of Johnny Lawrence, whom she hadn't seen since he showed up at her house completely drunk. Hearing her, the two turned around, their reactions diametrically opposed.

"Thumbelina," Johnny started, a small grin appearing at his lips. That made Willow start wondering whether he remembered the conversation they had or not. At the end, she guessed the first option.

Miguel blinked several times, not remembering if the two made any plans together, "Wills, hey. What are you doing here?" he questioned, and she gave him a shrug in response, her pink lips lining together.

"I just came back from the hospital, and I decided to visit you and check how you're doing, but — " she started explaining, but Johnny interrupted her immediately, making her confusion grow even more than before.

"You can stay. Maybe your yapping will help Diaz," he stated, and with that her mouth opened in surprise.

She blinked several times, not even remembering the moment when her and Johnny came back to how it was before everything was ruined. Guess the old Johnny Lawrence came back.

               "Excuse me, I don't — "

               "Yes, you do,"

               "No, I — "

And suddenly, they both were cut off by Miguel's shout, "Quiet!"

Willow and Johnny remained silent and glanced over at the Diaz boy, who smiled proudly at his own actions. The violet-haired girl raised her eyebrows in suspicion when she saw the look Miguel gave the man, who then cleared her throat.

"All right, Thumbelina. I'm sorry," he muttered, and she rolled her eyes, waving him off, not expecting him to continue his another incoming speech. "Not only for telling you that you yap, which you most likely do, but also for leaving you when you needed me. I made a promise when I became your Sensei, and I broke it the worst way I should," he declared, and she nodded her head in agreement.

"That was also a prick move,"

He side-eyed her, hearing those words, and shook his head, trying not to repeat it by accident, "But that doesn't mean that I gave up on you. I never did. Becoming your Sensei was one of the best things that happened in my life," he ignored his words, then glared at Miguel, who gave him a look full of appreciation. "And I tried to contact you as much as I could, but since you moved away to your father, it takes longer for this Facebook thing to deliver. And I also kind of threw my phone into the sea," he explained, the girl raising her eyebrows in both shock and disbelief.

Miguel elbowed him, "Sensei, delivering messages is instantaneous," he whispered to him, but he waved him off.

Willow ignored them both, "Why would you throw your phone into the sea?"

Johnny started thinking about the actual reason, but failed in remembering it, so he just shrugged, "I dunno. I'll tell you guys when I'll remind myself,"

"Yeah, right, okay. Now, I have to admit it — I'm still pissed off and I will be for some time," she announced, which was not a surprise for both male's.

After everything, Willow had every right to continue being mad. Even more after so many people had broken the promises they made to her, and torn everything into pieces ( and yeah, while saying that, Eli Moskowitz was her first thought ).

"Hey, you know what I did while Thumbelina was yapping?" Johnny suddenly questioned, making the two teens frown, Willow trying to stop herself from exploding in annoyance once again.

               "What did you do?"

The man smiled proudly, "Lightened a fire under you," he responded, and with that, the girl's eyes opened in shock as she looked down and saw Miguel's shoe lace being set on fire. She ran towards the boy, wanting to put out the fire, but Johnny stopped her with one of his hands. "What the hell — Why would you do that?"

Her question was ignored as Johnny put Miguel into a chokehold, the boy's eyes widening in panic. Willow glared between them both, not being sure what to do — she didn't want to be put on Miguel's place.

"Are you insane? Wills!" the boy shouted and she immediately made her way towards the two, but was stopped by Johnny's warning stare again.

"Depends, who you ask. Come on, Diaz! Shake a leg" Johnny ordered him.

               "I can't!"

"You can if you want it that bad,"

Willow watched as Miguel's anger grew wider, "It's all I want!"

"Then focus! Tell your brain to tell your legs to get their asses moving!"

"Uh, It's not how it works, Sensei," the violet-haired girl interrupted him, making him frown in confusion, then yell a loud quiet at her.

A few seconds later, the girl's eyes opened even wider as she watched the fire spread to Miguel's leg. She quickly grabbed a fire extinguisher and put out the fire. Then she sighed in relief.

               "Are you — "

"I really thought it would work," the Lawrence man interrupted her.

"Why didn't it? My foot was on fire. I didn't feel a thing. Why is nothing working?" Miguel asked sadly, and Willow put a comforting arm on his shoulder.

               "I'm so sorry, Miggy."

He exhaled heavily, "It's fine. I should probably just clean up before my mom gets home. See ya," and then he left, Willow watching him with her facial expression sad and defeated. Her mood switched really quickly.

And she didn't know that it was only the beginning.

━━ ⋆。‧˚ʚ 🩰 ɞ˚‧。⋆ ━━

AFTER SPENDING some time with Miguel and gossiping with him about many things that happened these days, Willow came back into her new house, and tried to be as quiet as possible to not have to make any conversation with her father, who after the school fight acted very distant towards her. That made her miss her old apartment more and more. She missed seeing her mom and brother every morning, she missed hanging out with Miguel every day, she even missed hearing Johnny's complaints. She just couldn't understand, why Adelaide agreed to Sean's suggestion.

How unfortunate it was for her that as she tried to sneak through the living room, her father's head snapped towards her and he cleared his throat. She stopped in her tracks and forced a smile at the man, not wanting him to see how unhappy she was.

               "Hey, dad,"

He gave her a small nod in response, "Hey, angel. Where were you?" he asked, this time his face brightening in kindness. It only reminded Willow of how their relationship was these days. One day it was cold, then the other one it was hot.

"At the hospital, and with Miguel," she replied shortly, making sure not to make him suspect her about anything else. He couldn't know that she was with Johnny — he made it clear to her that she couldn't have any contact with this man anymore.

"Okay," he answered, and when she was ready to walk away, his voice stopped her again. "One of your friends was there. He introduced himself as Eli. He wanted me to tell you that he wants to talk," he declared, and Willow's lips twitched in grimace at the thought of the boy.

               "Thanks,"

A few seconds later, when she finally made her way upstairs and into her room, she threw herself onto her bed and groaned in displeasure, because she wasn't going to make everything easy for the Moskowitz boy after he literally treated her like total trash.

She wasn't going to just act like nothing happened, go to him and normally talk, because she knew that he wasn't taking her words to heart at all. He was so focused on the dojo that he stopped seeing something else than that. He stopped caring about the people that really loved him. Instead of that, he abandoned them.

Willow grabbed her phone, and put on Haunted by Taylor Swift, then fully closed her green eyes. She was repeating the lyrics in her head, ignoring everything around. She really needed a break from all the dramas that were caused out of nowhere. She needed people to stop putting her between sides, because she was really tired of it. She was tired of walking through the fragile line.

And at the moment, she felt as if she was standing in the middle of it.

A deep breath escaped her lips when the music momentally silenced at the sound of an incoming notification. It took her a few minutes to grab her phone again and check the notification, and so her eyebrows furrowed at the content of the message Blair had just sent her.

blair ෆ
sos. gold 'n stuff, old laser
tag, please

A crack of more and more concern appeared on her face when she scanned the message with her eyes for a thousand time. She was pretty sure that Blair wouldn't send her something like that if it wasn't serious. With that, she forced herself to stand up and put her phone into the pocket of her jeans, then tried to get out of the room as unnoticed as she could. Another minus of leaving upstairs? She couldn't sneak outside by the window anymore.

Her breath stopped when she tiptoed behind the couch where her father was lying and then entered the small corridor where she put her shoes on. After that, she opened the door of the house and walked outside, then took the electric scooter she borrowed from Miguel some time ago, and immediately started driving to the mentioned by Blair location, her heart racing.

When she was finally there, she parked the electric scooter and then ran inside the building, also apologizing to the people she accidentally bumped into. With every step closer to the old laser tag, Willow could feel her breath fasten and fasten. Especially when she stepped in the entrance and could hear the screams and painful grunts around. Her hands clenched nervously as she slowly walked inside, with that attracting the attention of some people, including the red-haired boy, whose eyes widened in surprise. No one really expected her to show up, even with Blair being around.

"Loo?" he spoke with confusion, some boy from Miyagi-Do using the fact that he was unfocused and attacking him from behind. He quickly dodged him kick and pushed him away, turning his attention towards the boy that stood in the place, frozen.

When Blair texted her that she needed help, she obviously didn't expect something like that.

"Don't," she responded firmly, and hissed when someone grabbed her from behind, then pushed her at some wall. She sighed before she turned around and sent a kick to the ribs at some Cobra Kai, who grunted and stumbled backwards.

Willow smiled lightly in satisfaction and wanted to walk past Hawk to search for her friends, but got interrupted by the boy grabbing her wrist and forcing her to stop and face him. She bit her lips, and immediately got out of his grip.

"Didn't I tell you something last time we talked?" she exclaimed with annoyance, and with that, he remained silent. Seeing that, she snorted and shook her head in disbelief, then came back to what she was doing before he stopped her.

She took some steps forward, and even with the distance between them, she could still hear his voice.

"Come on, Loo. Don't go there."

She winced at his sudden words, but didn't listen to him at all. She walked past some figures and her eyes shot towards some teenagers fighting, catching Blair with the two of them. She felt frustrated, but without even thinking, she rushed at them, pushing one of the boys away from the Johnson girl, and then striking the second one in the face.

He stumbled back, but remembered the Cobra Kai rules and raised his fists at the girl. He waited for the perfect opportunity, and when he found one, he tried to shoot his fist at her side, but she blocked it and then repeated the same move before sweeping the boy's leg from under him.

After that, her head snapped towards Blair, and then pulled her hand out to her, lifting her up. "Are you okay? What the hell are you even doing here? Why is everyone here?" she asked with a glimpse of concern. The Johnson girl grimaced at her harsh tone, but wasn't surprised at all.

"They were messing with Chris in his job. We just wanted to finally fight back, but — watch out!" before Willow could say something back, she heard a loud cry battle and then she felt someone's hands wrap around her waist and she was thrown with that person to the ground.

"What the fuck? Get off me!" she yelled, pushing that person away. When she glanced over at the boy, her face dropped. It was the same boy, who attacked her at the school before she was found by Tanner.

Her eyes widened and she swallowed hard. That was the moment when she understood what exactly Eli meant by telling her not to go there — everything brought the memories back.

"Wills!" Blair shouted, helping the violet-haired girl as soon as she realized what was happening. They both looked around and cursed, seeing everyone fighting. It felt as if it was round two of the school fight.

Willow's instinct told her that someone was coming at her from behind, so she grabbed the person's hand and went to throw them over her, but got stopped by Blair, who gestured for her to turn around. And when she did, she sighed in relief, because it was only Sam.

               "Are you okay?"

The two girls nodded their heads as confirmation, "I think so," Willow muttered and then looked around, biting her lips as she saw both Hawk and Demetri fighting. She was planning to go and stop them, but got cut off by another voice that echoed in the old laser tag.

"Sam LaRusso. Where are you, bitch?" Tory yelled, and Willow instinctively glanced over at Sam, whose face dropped. Willow understood her too well.

The Froud girl felt her heart skip faster when she ran to some boy that arrived with the Nichols girl. Without any hesitation, she punched him several times before kicking him right in the face, and then smashing him against the wall, not letting him run at the LaRusso girl, who was held by Blair in some corner. Willow glared at them with a sad expression, and then looked away, seeing that the Cobra Kai's managed to knock some Miyagi-Do's down.

"Sam!" she heard Chris yell, and so she turned around, her fists clenched. She wanted to help the boy, so she followed after his voice, but then froze in her moves when she saw Mitch and Rickenberger kicking him like some psychopath while he was laying unconsciously on the ground.

"No, please, stop! Eli, stop! Stop!" she heard another voice from a distance, and the fact that she knew who it belonged to terrified her even more. Her trembling hands gripped on her shirt as she was looking everywhere around, looking for her best friend.

And when she saw him, her whole body tensed up.

"No!" she screamed in terror, and ran towards the Cobra Kai's, whose heads turned to her. Hawk felt his face drop at the sign of the girl's voice and when their eyes met, he knew that it was over.

Willow sent him a begging stare, which made him immediately look back at Demetri. He didn't stop, but also didn't do anything more. He was frozen, knowing that if he would do something, it would be the official end of him and Willow Froud. He was pretty sure that if he would do something, she would never forgive him.

"Don't!" she added, and felt tears forming in her eyes when Rickenberger and Mitch grabbed her harshly, so that she wouldn't interrupt the Moskowitz boy's actions. Her face was filled with betrayal when her eyes met Tory's ones, and the smirk faded from the girl's lips. She looked away. "Eli, stop!" she shouted, and when he didn't answer her, the rest of her hopes started fading out.

She hissed in even more pain and tears started getting out of her emerald eyes when Rickenberger's grip tightened even more on her wrist that just healed.

"It's me! No! Help me!" Demetri shouted, but no one came to rescue him. The violet-haired girl tried her best to push the two boys away from her, but failed, which made the situation even worse for her.

"Eli, please, don't!" Willow tried to negotiate, so the red-haired boy looked at her from his shoulder and blinked several times before looking back at Demetri, who was still held to the ground. "Take me instead! Don't do this to him!" she added, but once again, no one listened to her.

"Do it, finish him!" the Nichols girl rushed him, and Willow flinched, seeing that her friend wasn't her friend anymore. She didn't recognize her.

"No. It's fine. I'll go! I'll go!" the Alexopoulos boy reassured, and the Froud girl felt terrible when she heard his voice.

The part of her that still had hopes in Eli Moskowitz was rarely even there.

               "Finish him!"

               "Finish him, Hawk!"

Willow felt as if she didn't have the strength to breathe anymore when a sudden snap echoed in the building. A shaky sob escaped her pink lips when she looked over at the two boys; Demetri writhing in pain on the ground and Hawk hovering him, disbelief washing over his face after what he just did.

Just then, Rickenberger pushed the girl forward, making her land on her lap next to her best friend. She cried, not knowing what to do as she glanced between everyone, the screams and cheers echoing in her ears. She touched her chest, trying to bring herself to take a clear breath, but failed in the moment when her eyes landed on the red-haired boy's face.

               "Damn it!"

Hearing Demetri's yell, Willow's body trembled and she slowly put a comforting hand on his back, trying to stop him from making the injury even worse.

"I'm sorry. Metri, I'm sorry. I — " she started whispering, but stopped, taking short breaths.

She watched as the other Cobra Kai students high-fived the Moskowitz boy and started leaving, but not Eli. He stood in front of them, watching the two completely frozen in his tracks. When he saw the state the violet-haired girl was in, he took a step towards her, which made her flinch, and so he stopped. Both shock and guilt appeared on his face as his blue eyes focused on the girl with a realization of all his actions. She was scared of him. Willow Froud was scared of him.

"I'm so sorry, Metri. I'm sorry. I — I'm so sorry," she continued, her face now being wet from tears and smudged makeup. Watching Demetri groaning on the ground in pain felt like a horror.

It was like in the movie she watched with Miguel. The main character felt as if a big part of them was dead, because of something very traumatizing. Willow could only relate.

"Loo, I'm sorry. You need to bre — " the Moskowitz boy started, but was cut off by her as soon as possible.

"No, you're a coward! How could you do that? Why would you do that?!" she shouted, and remained silent. When another cry left her lips, he stepped back, feeling even worse than before. He opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but then closed it straight away, and Willow overtook him. "You promised me! You promised me to! You're a liar — you're a fucking liar!"

Hawk looked at the ground, the mix of Willow's and Demetri's sobs and screams echoing in his ears. He felt numb.

               "I'm sorry, Loo. I'm — "

She shook her head, "Go away! I don't want to be ever near you again. Go away!" she shouted, and he took a deep breath before turning around and doing what she told him to.

Just after that, the violet-haired girl turned her attention to her best friend again, and tried to somehow lift him up. She helped him sit, and after that her trembling hands brushed the hair away from his face. Her chest rose up and down at a rapid pace, making her feel even more awful. She couldn't even control her own body anymore.

"Metri, I'm so sorry," she whispered for the hundredth time, and he shook his head slowly, another groan leaving his lips because of the arm. "I — I tried to stop them. I tried, Metri."

"I know — I know you did, but right now, I need you to breathe," he responded quietly, and the girl's hand slowly reached over to his chest, trying to synchronize her breath with his. She grunted in the moment when another of her trials ended up with nothing, but tried not to give up. "I can't take it, Frills. It hurts so much,"

The girl closed her eyes for a moment, another tear dropping from them, but the boy raised his hand slowly and wiped the tear away.

               "I'm so sorry,"

━━ ⋆。‧˚ʚ 🩰 ɞ˚‧。⋆ ━━

THE THREE, Willow, Blair and Sam cried together in the hospital, none of them being able to stop.

Another sob left Willow's lips as she pulled her trembling legs to herself, the image of Demetri laying on the ground still being the only one thing haunting her. She didn't even care about the phone that kept buzzing every damn minute since the moment she called her mom and begged her to drive to the hospital. She didn't even care that her dad will be completely pissed off when he'll hear about what happened. All she cared about was her friends, and the whole accident.

"Another karate fight? What the hell were you thinking?" she heard Amanda LaRusso's angry voice, so she glanced over at the woman and flinched when she saw her mother walking by her side. Even from a distance, she could sense the disappointment in her eyes.

"Why would you take a part in something like that? I thought you were doing better!" Adelaide added, and crouched in front of her daughter, waiting for her to calm down and finally look her in the eye.

But instead, she started crying even more, "Mom, they . . . they — " she started, but couldn't finish her sentence.

"They broke Demetri's arm," Sam declared. Both women looked at each other and then at the three girls, their facial expression covering with disbelief. "I just wanted to show that we couldn't be bullied."

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry," Blair added, and just after that, Amanda hugged Sam and Adelaide wrapped her arms around her daughter and the Johnson girl.

"It's all right. It's gonna be alright,"

Willow hugged her mom even tighter, "I tried to stop them, mom. I tried to, but they didn't listen. I tried to —"

"Shhh, it's okay, sweetie. It's going to be okay," Adelaide whispered, patting the two girls on their backs in a comfortable way.

But Willow shook her head immediately. It wasn't going to be okay — it definitely wasn't.
