Cobra Kai | All In
season two, episode five

traitor ━━ olivia rodrigo
❜loved you at your worst / but
that didn't matter

THIS TIME, Willow decided to take a walk on her way to the dojo, so that she could make a phone call with Demetri — they really needed to talk about some things. She was smiling at her phone when she listened to every single thing her he was telling her. She really missed gossiping with Demetri Alexopoulos. She really missed the times when their golden trio didn't argue about anything else than some movies or games.

               "I joined Miyagi-Do,"

His sudden sentence made the blonde girl frown as she tried to process it. He said it so fast that she couldn't even understand the last word.

"You joined what?" she asked, which caused the boy to have a guilt face.

"I'm sorry, Frills. I . . ." he started the explanations, but she shook her head, cutting him off.

"No, no. I didn't mean it in a bad way. Just didn't hear anything at all," she declared and a realization hit the boy's face.

He cleared his throat, "Oh . . . okay," he said calmly before coming back to his previous tone. "I joined Miyagi-Do, Frills." he announced quickly.

This time, Willow could clearly understand what had just escaped the brunette's mouth and with that, she smiled softly. Demetri, not being sure of the girl's reaction, blinked several times — he expected her to get mad, but she didn't. She did the exact opposite of getting angry at him, because he joined her rivals.

"You joined Miyagi-Do?" she gasped in excitement, looking around only to see that she was close to the dojo. "Oh my God, really?. How is there? Are they treating you right? Did you already learn something from Mr. LaRusso?" she interviewed him, which caused him to sigh in relief.

"It's good. I kinda even think you would fit in there," he commented, but she shook her head immediately — she would never do this to Johnny. Not after he helped her so many times. "I'm actually starting to understand their techniques. And, hey! I wasn't even beaten up yet." he admitted.

Willow chuckled shortly, "Well, I'm glad. How's your nose?"

He shrugged, "Doesn't look that bad anymore, but still kinda hurts," he replied, the girl nodding her head in understanding. "Uh, how are you and Eli?" he spoke, making her smile fall.

"I won't tell him, if it's about it," she reassured him, but the hesitant expression remained on his face. "And I don't really know. Sometimes it feels good, like, really good, but then he acts like a total, fucking, stranger and ruins everything again."

"Felt that. But, uh, we just need to remember that behind that blue mohawk and tattoos is still our old, good Eli, yeah?" Demetri declared and with that, the blonde girl stood right in front of the Cobra Kai building.

"Yeah. I have to go now, but I'll . . . talk to you later?"

               "Bye, Frills."

WILLOW COULD SWEAR that even though she was in the dojo every day, today felt different. Surprisingly different, but as soon as she sat down on the mat between Aisha and Hawk, she finally understood. When she looked at the Moskowitz boy, she saw something new — his hair wasn't blue anymore and it was styled in a different mohawk than before. At the same time, she understood that this was officially the end of their matching hair. And, to be honest, she wasn't sure how to feel about it. Why didn't he tell her about it?

Eli, sensing the girl's gaze being on him, turned his head to her side and pulled a small smile towards her. The one that reminded her of the real Eli. "You like it?" he asked and with that, the girl felt a bit of déjà vu show inside her.

He asked her the same question when she saw his tattoo for the first time.

She just nodded her head, still angry at him for siding with Kreese instead of Demetri, but also hoping she could finally talk some sense into him. She still believed that he could understand that Kreese wasn't someone he should trust.

"Loo?" he added, confused at her sudden ignorance.

She sighed. "Later, Hawk. We'll talk later."

( Willow from the future wants to say that this topic wasn't the only one later )

Hawk clenched his jaw slightly, but nodded his head in understanding and the two looked at Johnny and Kreese demonstrating something once again. The Froud girl's face remained silent as she still had the new Sensei's previous words in her head — she was so close to ask her parents about the man, but she stopped herself in the last moment. She believed that her father wouldn't like the fact that his daughter knew about John's existence.

"You're a little rusty, Sensei." Johnny said to the man as he caught his leg that flew ready to kick him.

Kreese got out of his grip and they put their fists up again, restarting the fight. They blocked each other's punches, grunting and some seconds later, Johnny ended up being put into a chokehold by the other man. Willow watched them carefully.

"Okay, pay attention. He's got my neck, I've got his elbow. If I try to break out . . ." the Lawrence man showed them the mentioned move.

". . . I dig in and I put him to sleep." Kreese continued, Willow clearing her throat at the action. She hoped she'd never have to use this move on anyone.

"If I go for his ribs . . ." Johnny instructed, acting like he hit the man's rib.

". . . he completely exposes his chest." John explained and then put him in the chokehold once again.

"Two difficult choices. What do you do?" Johnny asked and the class stayed silent, no one really knowing what to say.

Willow bit her lips, so she could stop herself from saying that she would never let someone put her into a chokehold — she suspected that that wasn't the right answer for the whole situation.

And she saw right. Johnny swept the leg from under the man, the two landing on the ground.

"You damn the consequences and you power forward." he declared. Willow forced herself to remember that.

When the two stood up, Kreese spoke up. "You may get hurt, but nobody wins by doing nothing."

"You make a choice, you make a move, you go all in." Johnny clarified. The blonde girl pulled her legs together and rested her chin on them, slightly nodding her head.

               You go all in.

︴‧₊˚🖇️✩ ₊˚🔮⊹♡   ︴

❝OH, MY GOD. Yasmine has the same bikini as me." Moon giggled, causing Willow to stare down at her phone and scowl at the Instagram photo of Yasmine.

Both, Aisha and Blair rolled their eyes at the mention of the blonde girl. "Tell her she can stay in France,"

The Johnson girl agreed with the Robinson and with that, the smile fell from Moon's lips. She watched Blair for a minute before looking back at her phone.

Willow cleared her throat to break the silence between them. "France doesn't deserve this bitch to poison its air." she commented with a shrug, and took some fries from Blair, who side-eyed her straight away before rolling her eyes.

At the moment when the Froud girl was ready to eat the fries, someone walked behind her and snatched it out of her hands, making her narrow her eyes. She turned her head around and her emerald eyes met Hawk's face, a playful smirk flashing on his lips as he walked away towards Chris' and Mitch's table. A sigh left her lips as she turned back to her friends, who were looking at the table in silence, grimaces on their faces — maybe Yasmine's topic wasn't that good for their conversation.

With that, Willow hummed, resting her head on her hands. "Do any of you want to join my movie marathon tonight?" she asked, a grin glistening on her lips.

Her words were enough. Moon and Blair gazed at her, excitement appearing on their faces.

"Only if we're gonna watch movies with some hotties in it," Blair stated and the two girls chuckled.

"Promise." Willow replied. Her head snapped to the back as she heard footsteps and then saw the Cobra Kai boys, along with Hawk that had his jaw clenched, walking towards the exit of the building. When her gaze came back to Blair, they nodded their heads, seeing that something was definitely wrong.

But well, none of them thought that it would be that wrong.

"Um, wanna go shopping to the mall with me?" the green-eyed girl questioned after clearing her throat.

Blair sent her a lovely smile. "Always."

Then, the two turned to Moon, who shook her head. "I'll stay with Aisha, Tory and Miguel, but you two have fun."

And they didn't know they'd have that much fun.

︴‧₊˚🖇️✩ ₊˚🔮⊹♡   ︴

A GRUNT RUN OUT OF Willow's lips as she held Blair's shopping bags, following her to another beauty supply store. She watched as the dark blonde girl moved between the alleys, carefully searching for something she had imagined in her mind on their way to the mall. When her fingertips touched some makeup cosmetics, she turned her head towards her best friend, whose green eyes narrowed at her in focus.

"So . . . what's with birdie's new hair?" she asked, glaring at the mascara in her hands.

Willow felt her tongue stuck in her mouth at the mention of the red haired boy, "I — don't really know," she admitted.

Blair put the mascara back in its place and looked at the blonde from under her eyelashes. "You don't? Didn't you guys have some kind of matching?"

The blonde slightly nodded her head in agreement. "Yeah, guess it's the end of it," she shrugged, which caused the other girl to pursue her lips in thought.

"So what are you gonna do with your hair now?" she questioned, curiosity drawing on her face. Willow, hearing that, was taken aback by her words, which caused her to open her eyes widely. "No way. You're not really going to leave them like that after he literally didn't even tell you about ending it, right?" no answer turned out to be an answer from the Froud.

Blair shook her head immediately. "No, honey, look. I don't really think it's a good idea — he pulled out a totally idiotic act again and I bet he didn't even regret it, so why would you?" she suggested. "And, no offense, but you'll look pretty damn hot with something new than blonde."

Willow bit her cheek. Blair did have a point, so maybe she was right? Besides, it was just hair. Nothing else would change.

               Right?

"And what do you suggest?" the Froud girl answered, making Blair think again. As soon as an idea appeared in her mind, her lips gained a devilish smirk.

"I suggest violet and maybe a new haircut. We can figure it out on the way home," she shrugged after telling her a simple proposition.

( Future Willow would like to say that they figured out something else on the way home )

               "So? What do you say?"

Willow's lips curved, making the dimples on her cheeks visible. "Yeah — yeah, let's go for violet."

The Johnson girl jumped in excitement. "Hell yeah!"

︴‧₊˚🖇️✩ ₊˚🔮⊹♡   ︴

AFTER BUYING A FEW violet hair dyes, the two girls walked out of the store, giggling at each other as they were gossiping about boys — mostly Eli and Tanner — once again. Even though they didn't know each other that long, they already learned that they had many things in common and, which was mostly important, they trusted each other. Willow Froud felt as if Blair Johnson was her soulmate. As if they really meant to meet each other.

The two girls walked past some stands with sunglasses and suddenly, they heard a familiar voice that screamed something unclear behind them. That made them stop and turn around only to see Demetri Alexopoulos, running their way fast as if someone was chasing him.

"Metri? Metri, stop!" Willow ordered, distracting him enough so that he ran into some glasses stands, knocking them into the ground. The both blondes tried their best to hold back their laughter. "Come on, stand up, Metri. What happened?" she asked, pulling the boy up.

He coughed, shaking his head. "Cobra Kai . . . Eli . . . Rumble . . . Take down . . . Yelp review." he said out of his breath. When he looked at something behind them, his eyes widened.

And with that, he ran away, leaving the confused girl.

"Did he just say Eli and Cobra Kai?" Blair turned her head to Willow, whose eyes narrowed even tighter.

Just in the moment, Cobra Kai boys ran past them, Hawk in the lead.

Willow opened her eyes in shock. "Fuck, he did," he answered and blinked several times. "We gotta go, we gotta go!"

With that, the two blondes gripped on their shopping bags tighter and followed after the Cobra Kai's, being actually scared of what was happening. The fact that they were running didn't help them, though — they couldn't think clearly.

Willow cursed underneath her breath as she wasn't sure what she hated more; the fact that they lost them or the fact that she hated gym class and everything connected with it.

"Where the fuck are those assholes?" Blair muttered with irritation as they stopped to turn around only to hear a very familiar voice very close to them.

               "You're dead meat."

Willow froze, realizing that Eli was the one saying it. She could recognize his voice everywhere, and with that, she felt every negative emotion towards the boy come back at the same time. She felt numb and betrayed Eli Moskowitz broke his promise. He wanted to hurt his best friend, and she couldn't let that happen.

"Stay there, B." she said firmly, handing the girl her shopping bags. Blair looked at her in misunderstanding.

               "No, I'm not going to — "

Willow interrupted her. "Everything will be okay. I know him. It's not like he could hurt me or anything."

And once again, she felt unsure of her own words. She exhaled heavily and after that she quickly made her way towards the scene that was playing in the food court. She felt her whole body tense when she saw from distance Mitch grabbing Demetri by force — that was an enough sign that she had to intervene.

She ran towards them, clenching her fists hard in anger and when she was close enough, she used Chris as a help to spin around and kick Mitch away from the Alexopoulos, who stumbled backwards.

"No hard feelings," she exhaled as she stood on the ground in front of the Moskowitz boy, who looked at her with disbelief washing all over his face. The two Cobra Kai's left were going to rush at her, but suddenly, Sam and Robby did the same move she did earlier, knocking them on the ground.

               "Loo?"

She shook her head immediately. "For you Willow."

Her words took him aback, so he blinked several times. The blonde felt someone pull her away from him and when she looked to her right side, she saw no one else than Samantha LaRusso, sending a small smile towards her. She returned it with a force one and looked at Demetri in concern. Sensing her gaze, he gave her thumbs up. With that she looked at Hawk again.

"Get back," Sam said to Demetri, who did what she told him. "You guys need to back off." she then turned to Hawk.

He still stood in his place. "I don't want to have to hit a girl," he announced and Willow opened her mouth, being shocked by his words.

What the hell was he doing?

"You think you will?" the blonde snorted after a moment, betrayal drawing all over her face.

Another voice answered her, "Nah, he wouldn't stand a chance." Robby said, taking a place next to the blonde.

Hawk clenched his jaw, his blue eyes finding her green ones. He smirked towards her, which she didn't react to. "You're on his side now?" he asked before adding something else. "Even after he disrespected our dojo?"

She gave him an eye roll. "Well, I'm more worried by the fact that this manic panic or whatever got into your head because you're a even bigger asshole than before,"

He seemed surprised by her words, so his gaze broke away from there. Some seconds later, a mockery showed on his face.

"Five against four?" he questioned, looking between them. "More like three and a half." he smirked, turning his head to both boys that stood next to him.

Willow clenched her jaw, getting into a fighting position. She wanted to run at the Moskowitz boy, but suddenly someone grabbed her from behind and pulled her back. She immediately recognized that person as Doug Rickenberger, who annoyed her a lot in the dojo and well, outside either.

With that, she had no objections when she grabbed his hand and twisted it before sweeping his leg from under him, knocking him to the ground. Hearing him groan in pain, she snorted and aimed at Mitch, who ran at Sam from behind. She quickly spun around and kicked him in the chest, making Sam look at her thankfully.

               "Thanks,"

She nodded her head and she felt her nails tighten in her fists when she looked at Hawk, who was kicked away by Robby. She made her way towards him and when he saw her, she raised her eyebrows in a challenging way. He was an idiot, thinking that he would hurt someone important to her — especially after she told him that she'd do everything to protect her friends.

"You're a coward, you know that?" she spoke, taking him aback. "You're a fucking coward, because he would never do this to you."

               "Wh — "

She didn't let him finish his sentence as she struck him right in the face, making his head fly back. He looked at her in surprise, holding onto his nose that hurt.

"What the hell, Loo?" he muttered.

She ran her tongue over her teeth, then shrugged. "Willow. And remember the first time I punched you in the dojo?" she questioned and he hesitantly nodded his head. "Well, I'm not sorry this time." she declared and wanted to step back, but he grabbed her wrist and, something more unexpected by her, pushed her to the side, so that she wasn't hit by Chris that literally flew at her.

She blinked several times and looked at Eli once again, but he avoided her this time and ran at Robby once again. She took a deep breath and wanted to go and help Demetri, but Sam's scream alarmed her.

               "Willow, watch out!"

Right after, the Froud turned around and dodged the kick that was sent at her by the boy she saw with Rickenberger earlier. She scoffed, shaking her head as she couldn't believe that she was in the same dojo with these guys — they were really a gang of assholes.

"Traitor," the boy said, trying to send a punch her way, but she quickly grabbed his hand and held it on his back hard.

She really got a déjà vu of Miguel's and Kyler's cafeteria fight.

"You wanna say it again?" she asked harshly, letting the boy go and kicking him in his back in the end.

When the boy landed on the ground, she looked around only to see that Eli was the only one still standing. He ran at Robby and jumped, wanting to hit him, but he knocked him in the ground. Willow's chest floated at a rapid pace as she stood over the boy who was looking at her with pain in his blue eyes.

This time, those eyes weren't working on her — not anymore.

"I really hoped you'd turn out to be the person that would never disappoint me." she whispered, making a new emotion flash on his face for a moment before disappearing.

Willow felt someone's hand on her shoulder and turned her head to see Blair's sad smile.

"Let's go home, Wills." she spoke, making the blonde look away from the boy. After saying that, she gazed at Sam, Demetri and Robby. "Thanks, guys." she muttered before the two blondes walked away.

This time, when they walked out of the mall, Willow felt everything around her so unrealistic. Everything that just happened felt so unrealistic, and the worst thing was that it wasn't even the end of the day yet.

And the bad things didn't even fully begin.

︴‧₊˚🖇️✩ ₊˚🔮⊹♡   ︴

AFTER EVERYTHING that happened Willow could finally see how much of an influence Eli Moskowitz had on her whole mood — he literally could change it in a few seconds, and by everything that he did in the mall he did change it.

Willow walked into the mall smiling and then got sent home crying.

She wasn't really sure how much time it took for Blair to calm her down, but when it finally worked, Willow realized that she still had one thing to do and even though she still didn't want to see those blue guilty eyes, she knew that there was no other option. Things needed to be explained.

It wasn't funny anymore. Willow wished that Hawk would think everything through before doing this. Maybe then he wouldn't hurt her, Demetri or anyone. Maybe then she wouldn't have to walk into the dojo just to search for him so late.

But he clearly didn't think about the consequences, so she really had to show up there with her hands trembling and her eyes shining through tears.

She cleared her throat when she walked into the room where the storage closet was earlier and saw the red-haired boy hitting the punching bag aggressively. She felt as if someone hit her a thousand times — she felt the pain all over her body.

"Are you proud of yourself?" she spoke, then bit her lip hard, trying to push away the tears forming in her eyes. Her voice worked on him immediately, so he stopped in his trucks and turned around only to see the hurt on the blonde's face.

And she knew him too well — the guilt was really in his blue eyes.

"Beating Demetri? Your best friend? Are you out of your mind!" she raised her voice with a mix of anger and hurt, taking a heavy breath as she watched his facial expression change as soon as it was possible.

He shook his head, "He's not my friend. He's a fucking nerd and a loser!" he shouted, clenching his fists.

Willow scanned his face in disbelief. She couldn't believe anything he was doing at the moment.

"Wow, that's actually something new, Eli!" she yelled back in mockery. "He's a loser, 'cause what? Because he wrote one, stupid yelp review that actually was truth? Are you fucking kidding me?"

He watched as his chest heaved rapidly with rage. When he wanted to take one step forward, she took three steps back. He saw it, so he furrowed his eyebrows in disorientation.

"You're taking his side now? He literally disrespected our dojo, Willow!" he argued.

"Yes, I am, because the Eli I knew would never beat his best friend over something as stupid as this," she pointed out, a single tear falling from her eye. Though she quickly wiped it away, Hawk manager to see it and . . .

And, well, he let the anger get the best of him.

"And the Willow I knew would never cry like a baby just because her best friend turned for the better," he threw out in anger and then opened his blue eyes, shocked by his words.

Willow's reaction was pretty much similar to his, but with the difference that when she looked at him, she saw nothing. No one that she knew — a total stranger.

"Loo, I — " he started, realizing what just left his mouth, but he shook her head, cutting him off.

"No, don't. Don't tell me you're sorry, because you aren't," with that, she took a step towards him. He scanned her face with disorientation. "It's just — I don't recognize you anymore, E." she whispered.

He shook his head, pulling his hand out and grabbing the girl's wrist, but her quickly getting out of his grip.

"No, I'm myself. You know me,"

"No. No, I don't. At least Not anymore," she denied. "Because the person standing in front of me right now is not the person I've known for so many years," she announced. She took a deep breath before continuing. "And the person standing in front of me right now is also not the person I fell in love with."

The room remained silent once the words left her lips. Only their breathing could be heard. The Moskowitz boy felt himself freeze as soon as he heard that. At first he thought he had misheard something, but when he saw her reaction, he was sure he hadn't.

And as a result, a disbelief flashed on his face. "What do you mean?"

Willow winced immediately. She felt her breathing stop for a moment as she made eye contact with the red-haired boy, who was surprised by her sudden words. And then, he realized that he fucked up everything.

He ruined every single chance he had with the girl he truly loved. He was so stupid not to have noticed.

He really wished he knew that she wanted him.

"Hey!" he yelled behind the girl, who quickly made her way towards the exit. When he saw that she didn't really listen to him, he followed after her, but then, he was suddenly stopped by Kreese.

And with that, Willow left. She made three steps back.
