Mikey quickly rushed towards the closet, holding his frying pan out. Slowly and gently, he removed the chair from the door knobs. He hid behind the chair, letting out a small breath.

"Okay.." He whispered to himself, throwing a strand of hair towards the door handles and opening the closet doors.

Your body stood still for a moment before you fell face flat onto the ground, your butt up. Mikey gasped and flinched a bit, knowing very well that hurt. Your body slid forward, your face squeaked as it was dragged down the floor.

Mikey tiptoed towards you, looking to see if you were conscious or not.

.·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩̥͙ ✩ *̩̩̥͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩͙‧͙ .

Your eyes fluttered open, looking around, only to see your body tied against a chair in hair. "AH! Wha..?" You look down to see you were tied up on a chair, but with blond hair? "Is this...hair?"

Your eyes follow the trail of hair, looking to see who it belonged to.

"Struggling—" Mikey stuttered accidentally, hiding in the shadows. "Struggling is pointless. I know why you're here. And I'm not afraid of you"

"What?" You questioned, staring at him confused.

"Who are you, and how did you find me?" Mikey walked out of the shadows, and you were finally able to see him.

"Ah...hah." You stared at him in shock, not having expected this, but also feeling a bit flustered.

"Who are you, and how did you find me?" He asked, pointing his frying pan at you.

You cleared your throat. "I know not who you are. Nor how I came to find you. But may I just say... " you looked down before looking up at him with a smirk. "Hi. How you doing? The names [FAKE NAME]. How's your day going, huh?

"Who else knows my location, [FAKE NAME]?" Michelangelo asked, holding the pan close to him, squinting his eyes at you.

"All right, Blondie." You interrupted him.

"Michelangelo."

"Gesundheit." You rolled your eyes. "Here's the thing. I was in a situation, Gallivanting through the forest. I came across your tower and--Ho, ho no! where is my satchel?!" You frantically questioned, looking around.

"I've hidden it, somewhere you'll never find it." Mikey crossed his arms, smirking proudly.

"It's in the pot, isn't it?" You ask, raising a brow, pointing at the small pot. Mikey deadpanned, lifting his pan up again.

CLANG!

You groaned as you opened your eyes again, looking towards your shoulder to see Buddy sticking his tongue into your ear. You shrieked, shaking your shoulders to get him off before trying to clean your ear. "Ugh! would you stop that?!"

"Now it's hidden where you'll never find it." Mikey smirked, crossing his arms. "So, what do you want, with my hair? To cut it?

"What?" You ask.

"Sell it?"

"No! Listen." You cut him off. "The only thing I want to do with your hair, is to get out of it...Literally.

"Wait, you don't want my hair?" Mikey stared at her surprised.

"Why on earth would I want your hair?" You asked, trying to get out of his hair. "Look, I was being chased, I saw a tower, I climbed it, end of story."

"You're... telling the truth?" Mikey asked meekly,

"YES!" You exclaimed, desperate to get out.

Mikey stared at you suspiciously. Buddy moved towards your face, eyeing you. You were taken aback by the cute creature, but decided to keep quiet.

Mikey turned to Buddy, deciding to speak with him one on one, a bit far from you. "Hmmm. I know. I need someone to take me...I think he's telling the truth, too...He doesn't have fangs! but what choice do I have?"

You on the other hand tried scooting away along with the chair quietly. Until Mikey turned to you. "Okay, [FAKE NAME], I'm prepared to offer you a deal."

"Deal?"

"Look this way." He demanded, pulling his hair slightly to turn the chair, but it twirled instead and caused you to fall face flat onto the ground again.

"Do you know what these are?" Mikey asked, pointing at the floating lights in his painting.

"You mean the lanthern thing they do for the printh?" You managed to reply, despite your face smushed against the ground.

"Lanterns? I knew they weren't stars." He whispered to himself excitedly. He turned serious once more, looking over at you. "Well, tomorrow evening, they will light the night sky with these lanterns. You will act as my guide, take me to these lanterns, and return me home safely. Then, and only then, will I return your satchel to you. That is my deal."

You use your fingers to push you up and land on your side with the wooden chair. "Yeaaah, no can do. Unfortunately, the kingdom and I aren't exactly sympathetico at the moment. So, I won't be taking you anywhere."

Mikey and Buddy glanced at each other. Buddy hitting his fist against his hand, telling Mikey to beat you up. Mikey puffed his cheeks, jumping down from where the painting was. He pulled on his hair, pulling you up.

"Something brought you here, [FAKE NAME]." Mikey said in a serious tone, walking up to you. "Call it what you will, fate, destiny."

"A horse."

"So I have made the decision to trust you." Mikey smiled.

"A horrible decision, really."

"But trust me, when I tell you this." Mikey leaned your chair close to him, face to face, his hand over your shoulder to keep you from falling. "You can tear this tower apart, brick by brick. but without my help, you will never find your precious satchel."

"Let me just get this straight. I take you to see the lanterns. Bring you back home. and you'll give me back my satchel?" You ask, reluctant toward the deal he's offering.

"I promise." He answered. You narrowed your eyes, not buying it. "And when I promise something, I never ever break that promise." He puffed his cheeks, trying to come off as confident, causing you to raise a brow. "EVER!"

"Alright, listen, I didn't want to have to want to do this, but you leave me no choice. Here comes the 'smolder'." You sighed, lowering your head. You look back up with the smolder you promised, trying to look as attractive as you believed you were (and you are! Beautiful! 👏 ✨). Mikey stared at you a bit angrily and annoyed.

You keeled your face that way for a while. "This is kind of an off day for me. This doesn't normally happen." You kept a bit longer before giving up and groaning in annoyance. "Fine! I'll take you to see the lanterns."

"REALLY?!" Mikey exclaimed, letting you go, causing you to fall onto the ground accidentally. You fell face flat onto the ground once more. Mikey looked down, flinching a bit. "...oops."

"You broke my smolder."

Slowly, you climb down the tower with the arrows you used last time. You look down to see how much is left before looking back up. "You coming, Blondie?"

Mikey looked down from the tower, feeling slightly afraid before smiling a bit.

"Look at the world, so close and I'm halfway to it. Look at it all, so big, do I even dare?"

He looked back inside the tower, staring into his painting.

"Look at me. There at last. I just have to do it. Should I? No. Here I go."

Buddy stayed on Mikey's shoulder, tying a strand of hair around his stomach, causing Mikey to let out a small chuckle. He launched his hair over the hook and let it fall onto the ground.

You stare at the hair falling in a bit of amazement. You looked back up, but quickly pressed your body against the walls when Mikey came sliding down rapidly laughing. His laughter came to a halt, dangling over the ground with his legs pulled close to his chest.

He stared at the grass intently, his foot slowly lowering upon the soft grass, feeling his bare feet tingling at the pointy edges, making him smile and giggle softly and lowered his other leg. He got on his knees and then lied on the ground with a grin on his face.

"Just feel the grass, the dirt. Just like I dream, baby."

He watched a dandelion as the wind blew its seeds away, the white flower like tops flying away. Mikey got up and followed them excitedly.

"Feel the summer breeze, the way it's calling me."

He then gasped when he stepped on a small puddle. He looked down, his smile widening.

"For like the first time ever, I'm completely free!"

He grabbed a handful of water and threw it upwards, letting it rain down gently. A bird flew across him, to which he followed.

"I could go running, and racing, and dancing, and chasing, and leaving, and bounding, and flying, and pounding, and splashing, and reeling! And finally feeling. That's when my life begins!"

Mikey smiled excitedly after crossing the cave out the area, with you following behind a bit bored.

"I can't believe I did this!" He exclaimed before gasping and whispering to himself. "I can't believe I did this." He then smiled again, jumping around. "I can't believe I did this!"

"Mother would be so furious..."

.·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩̥͙ ✩ *̩̩̥͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩͙‧͙ .

"That's okay though, what she doesn't know won't kill her, right?" Mikey asked himself as he held a Lilly on his hands with a smile, while you stood in the background, looking at him, your eyes full of boredom.

.·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩̥͙ ✩ *̩̩̥͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩͙‧͙ .

"Oh my gosh, this will kill her." Mikey whimpered, hiding inside a cave, while you waited outside.

.·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩̥͙ ✩ *̩̩̥͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩͙‧͙ .

"THIS IS SO FUN!" Mikey ran past you with the biggest grin on his face, kicking a pile of leaves towards your face.

.·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩̥͙ ✩ *̩̩̥͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩͙‧͙ .

"I am a horrible son, I'm going back." Mikey muttered, staring on a tree branch with his head against the trunk. You grew annoyed, but kept quiet.

.·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩̥͙ ✩ *̩̩̥͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩͙‧͙ .

"I am never going back!" Mikey laughs as he cartwheels down a hill before tripping and getting tangled around his own hair.

.·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩̥͙ ✩ *̩̩̥͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩͙‧͙ .

"I am a despicable mutant being." Mikey cried softly, face down on a field of flowers with you sitting beside him, sighing.

.·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩̥͙ ✩ *̩̩̥͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩͙‧͙ .

"WAHHOOOOO!" Mikey hollered, spinning around a tree with you leaning against the trunk with your arms crossed. "Best day, ever!"

.·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩̥͙ ✩ *̩̩̥͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩͙‧͙ .

Mikey was now sobbing onto his hands, sitting on the ground miserable. You walk up to him, clearing your throat and kneeling down. " You know, I can't help but notice, you seem a little at war with yourself, here."

"What?" Mikey sniffed.

"Now, I'm only picking up bits and pieces." You said calmly, getting up. "Overprotective mother, forbidden road trip. This is serious stuff. But let me ease your conscience." You grinned while buddy climbed onto your shoulder.

"This is part of growing up. A little rebellion, a little adventure. That's good, healthy even." You smirked, pushing Buddy off your shoulders before placing your hands over your hips.

"You think?" Mikey chuckled softly, wiping his nose.

"I know." You chuckled. "You're way over thinking this, trust me." You assured, placing your foot over a large rock. "Does your mother deserve it? No. Will this break her heart and crush her soul? Of course. But you just gotta do it!"

"Break her heart?" He asked, his smile faltering.

"In half." You replied, grabbing a berry.

"Crush her soul?"

"Like a grape." You squished the fruit.

"She would be heartbroken." Mikey replied, realizing his mistake. "You're right."

"I am, aren't I?" You sighed, faking your disappointment. "Oh, bother. All right, I can't believe I'm saying this, but...I'm letting you out of the deal. " you said, walking in front of him.

"What?" Mikey asked quietly.

"That's right. But don't thank me. Let's just turn around, and get you home, here's your pan, here's your frog." You hand him back his pan and buddy, catching him off guard. You place your arm around him, trying to lead him back. "I get back my satchel. You get back a mother daughter relationship based on mutual trust and viola! We part ways as unlikely friends."

Mikey pushed you away angrily. "No! I am seeing those lanterns!"

"Oh, come on! What is it going to take to get my satchel back?" You questioned, already annoyed by the mutant turtle.

Mikey glared at you, threatening you with the pan once more. "I will use this."

Mikey jumped as he heard a bush nearby rustling, climbing and clinging to you, but stayed in front of you as he used his pan to get ready to fight. "I will use this. Is it ruffians, thugs? Have they come for me?!"

A small cute bunny came out of the bush, staring at both of them innocently.

"Stay calm, it can probably smell fear." You sarcastically remark with a smirk, tearing her eyes from the cute bunny to look at Mikey.

Mikey sighed in relief before getting off you. "Oh, sorry. Getting just a little bit, jumpy."

"Probably be best if we avoid ruffians and thugs, though." You turned to him, raising a brow.

Mikey laughed nervously. "Yeah, that's probably best."

Your eyes lit up with an idea before you grinned. "Are you hungry? I know a great place for lunch!"

"Where?" Mikey asked with a smile.

"Oh, don't you worry." You grinned, pulling him by the pan on his hand. "You'll know it when you smell it!"
