-Chapter 133-

I ignored my discomfort at reading my vows out loud to everyone. I could hear Cleo crying the entire time and I avoided Xavier's cheesy grin to the best of my ability, but it was tough. I was better at talking about my feelings, but that didn't mean I wanted to. "Okay, I'm done. You guys are making me uncomfortable.

"Syn! I'm so proud of you," Cleo said as she took the paper from my hands and began reading with teary eyes.

"Don't make this weird," I muttered.

Caspian pat my shoulder and I turned to him. "I thought we'd need to help you, honestly."

"You all still did help," I said.

Everyone smiled and Cleo gasped as she looked at her watch. "Shit. By the way, Queen left like ten minutes ago."

"How do you know?" I asked. Cleo had been in here for the hour. There was no way she could've known Queen left unless she got a text, but that still didn't explain why she was checking her watch.

"Umm, she text me," she said with a nervous laugh as she held her phone in the air. Caspian took her phone from her and stood up. "Cas stop!" She yelled as she jumped to try to take her phone back.

"She didn't text you," he said.

"Why are you snitching?" she sneered.

"There's a pregnant woman who has a lot of enemies...that is just on the streets," Caspian said slowly.

I ran my hand through my hair and stood up immediately and rushed out of the room. Bursting through my room door, I looked around. The bed was messy so she had to have been in a rush.

Everyone walked into my room behind me and I turned to Cleo. "When did she leave?"

"Best friend code of honor," she said as she held her hand up.

"She's not even your best friend," Caspian muttered. "We all know she's mine."

Cleo snickered and looked up at him. "Umm...let's not do this, Cas. This is embarrassing for you."

He seemed to be amused by her words but he kept a serious expression. "Cleo, people are trying to hurt her. As her 'best friend', her safety should be the top priority over some code."

Cleo sighed and crossed her arms. "She left like an hour ago."

"Where did she go?" I asked.

"I don't know, she was reading some letter before I left the room."

Mia...

I walked over to our bed and looked down at the letter and quickly read it. I looked at the address on the back and crumpled the letter in my hand. I was going to kill Mia today. There was no reason to keep her alive after everything she's done. "I'm going to go get her," I said as I moved to a wall.

"I'll come," Cain said. Everyone looked at him and he shrugged. "You expect me not to go save my little sister?"

Caspian shook his head and stepped forwards. "We'll come too," he said and Cleo along with Xavier nodded in agreement.

"Okay," I said. I turned back to the wall and created a portal that landed us in front of a small building. I quickly walked towards the door and quickly grabbed the handle. I screamed out and let go when my skin was burned by a spell on the door.

"Are you okay?" Xavier asked as he rushed toward me. He looked down at my burned flesh and cringed. "Ouch."

Cleo looked at the building and turned back to me. "There's angel fire spelled around the building."

"Yeah, no shit," I muttered.

"Fuck off, Syn," she said.

"So what do we do?" Caspian asked.

"I'll hold the door and you guys go in," Cain said.

"What?!" Xavier said. "You just saw Syn get hurt and he's powerful. You could die, Cain."

"It's the only way we can get in. Whatever is in there is powerful, you all have abilities. I'm just basically an immortal human. I can do this," he said.

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"I'm sure," he said as he stepped in front of the door. "I'll hold it for five seconds and you all run through and get my sister, please."

"Okay," I answered with a nod.

"Countdown," he said.

"3," I started. "2...1"

As soon as his hands landed on the door, steam and blood came off his hands and his scream made our ears ring. I thought he was going to let go, but with painful and heavy breaths he pulled the door open and we ran in. Cain came in behind us and fell to the floor in pain. Cleo ran by his side on the floor. "Hey, hey...you did well. I'll heal you."

She chanted and took his now raw hands into hers, but nothing happened. She tried again yet still nothing happened. "My magic isn't working in here," she said as she looked around.

Shit. I tried mine and it wasn't working either and Cain looked like he needed medical attention as soon as possible.

"We're going to have to do this the old-fashioned way," Caspian said as he extended his fangs. He bit a part of his wrist and lowered himself to Cain.

Cain gave him a disgusted look and weakly moved his head away. "Now isn't the time to be kinky, go get my sister."

Caspian groaned and grabbed his head, holding his wrist against his mouth forcefully. "Just drink it."

After a few seconds, Caspian dropped his arm and Cain laid back on the floor. The wounds still weren't closing and I gave them a shocked look. "What the fuck."

Cain's heartbeat was getting weak and there was a possibility he wouldn't make it if we left him. He looked up at us weakly and smiled. "Just go get her, I'll be okay." I wasn't sure if believed that was true, but I nodded.

"I'll watch over him, you guys go," Cleo said.

Xavier, Caspian, and I nodded and made our way to the receptionist who looked at us in shock. "How may I help you?" She asked in a shaky voice as she looked at Cain who was still on the floor.

"Where is Mia Everton?!" I growled.

"She's in a session right now, sir," she said.

"Where?!"

"That is classified information, sir."

I balled my fist and prepared to break the window protecting her but Caspian stood in front of me. "Listen bitch, I will break down this glass and bang your head so severely against this table that-"

"She's on floor two," she said quickly as she pressed a button. An elevator beside us opened and Caspian gave her a sweet smile. "Thanks, love."

We quickly walked into the elevator and it closed. The elevator music contrasted our serious mood and I glared at Caspian when he began singing along. The doors opened with a loud ding and I rushed out and walked to the first door. The door was spelled like the one from earlier, but it looked more powerful.

"Shit," Caspian spewed.

"Fuck it," I said as I reached out to open it.

Xavier grabbed my hand and shook his head. "You can get really hurt, Syn."

"She's in there, Xavier," I said softly. I turned back to the door and reached out to open it but Xavier pushed me away and pulled it himself.

"No!" I screamed.

"Go in!" He yelled in pain.

"Syn go! I'll take care of him," Caspian said urgently.

I nodded quickly and tore my eyes away from them as I ran in. The door shut immediately behind me and I looked around the room, my eyes landing on Queen who seemed calm on the couch next to...Mia. I stormed over to them and grabbed Mia. "What did you do?"

"Syn!" Queen yelled as she stood up and grabbed my arm. "She didn't do anything."

I let Mia go and rushed over to Queen. "Why the hell would you leave without telling me?!"

"Not the time, Syn," she said as she looked behind me.

The look in her eyes made me slowly turn around, and then I saw Eve, I scoffed. She hadn't changed a bit. "Hello, Syn."

"What do you want?" I said dryly.

"Nothing in particular," she said. "You know we Seers need to do everything we can to protect the world."

"You're a Seer?" Queen asked.

"I am," she said. "And right now, I'm here to abolish that vile thing in your stomach you dare to call a baby."

My anger pooled at her words about my child and I balled my fists in anger. Queen gently held her hand over mine and looked up at me. "Not yet," she whispered.

What do you have planned, Princess?

I trusted her words and sat down beside her and we turned to Eve. She smiled at us and grabbed her notepad. "While we wait for the rest, maybe we can finish our therapy session, Mia."

Eve wasn't as powerful as I would've thought. She was cocky and overconfident, and for that...she'd regret it. While sitting here I found multiple kinks in her incantations on the walls. Using what I learned from Lucifer, it wouldn't be difficult to take down her spell. I just needed to wait for the right moment.

Mia seemed to be more distraught than both Syn and I. She looked afraid as she held her hands tightly together on her lap. I laid my hand on hers and she looked up at me in surprise.

"Everything will be okay," I said reassuringly. She smiled sadly and nodded in return.

"So let's get started," Eve said as she crossed her legs and held her pen against her notepad. "Veritatem tantum," she chanted.

Syn and I groaned almost simultaneously as we heard the spell. It was a truth revealer. Any of us who spoke could only say honest things. With that in mind, I kept my mouth shut and Syn seemed to get the hint to do so as well.

"If you don't answer my questions I'll hurt your...Xavia," she said slowly. "Even Adam won't be able to protect her in there." My eyes widened and my head snapped towards Syn. He looked just as shocked that she knew about that and that's where my fear began.

"So, Syn. Did you ever love Mia?" she asked.

"No," he answered.

"Why?" She questioned with her head tilted.

"I don't know," he muttered.

She wrote something down and turned to Mia. "Mia, did you ever love Syn?"

"Yes," she said.

"Why?"

"I don't know," Mia said as her voice broke.

"Why, Mia?" Eve asked more sternly.

"Because I thought he loved me," she admitted.

"Good enough," Eve said as she scribbled on her notebook. She looked up at me and smiled. "Queen, do you love Syn?" She asked.

I willed my mind to tell her an answer: Yes. "No."

Syn's head snapped to mine and a look of hurt passed his features. "What?" I didn't know what happened because I did love Syn with all my heart. I couldn't stand to see the pained expression on his face from my words.

"Syn," she spoke up. "Do you love Queen?"

He opened his mouth to speak but furrowed his brows in confusion. This truth spell was getting to us for some reason.

"No, I don't love her."
