"You are welcome to The Olympia '20, everyone." The facilitator started as soon as we were all seated in side the big hall that looked like we were doing a Model UN.

After registration, every school had been asked inside the hall that was located inside the state house for a little pep talk that I really hoped won't be boring. We were seated school by school and looking at it right now, we were much, literally filling up the entire hall. If these were just SS3 students from each school then I wonder how the the hall would contain the entire school on the day of the competition.

"We all know what we are here for so I will not give you all the boring details." The Facilitator said with a smirk playing on his lips and a sigh of relief filled the hall from all corners, followed by giggles and chuckles here and there.

Correct man wey sabi. I thought.

"I like this man jare. I just want to be fixed in my room and sleep before dinner. We need the rest." Skye chirped from beside and I looked at her to see her looking at Mateo, which meant she was talking to him.

"I really want to be in a room with at least two Crescent High boys. Those guys sabi." Mateo said for everyone to hear. We were barely listening to the man in the stage so we all began to gist discreetly.

"How do they do the school pairing thing sef?" Elyon tapped my hand lightly, calling my attention to her as well as the attention of the others. I shrugged, not really knowing the details.

"I am not sure but I think we ballot for it or something." I started, trying to remember how I had heard it from someone, who hears it from someone. I don't know, someone sha heard it.

"Since there are four schools in the competition, each school would be paired together, two by two then you pick your roommates yourself, or something like that." I shrugged again.

"I second Mateo's claim." Somadina said, catching our attention. "I want us to be paired with Crescent High. It will be dope as hell." He added and Mateo nodded.

"Is that a good idea?" Vanessa asked, doubt laced in her voice and we all turned to look at her. "I mean, we are rivals after all. We'd definitely be at logger heads." She expatiated.

"I don't think we'd be at logger heads." I said, trying to clear her doubts. "I've met most of this guys..."

"You have only met two of them, Jam Jam." Skye pouted mockingly as she called me the stupid pet name she used to call me when we were three years old.

"First of all, don't call me that ridiculous name. Second, okay fine I've only met two of them, but that's enough to know that they are cool people. I mean, you have met Sophia Williams, is she bad?" I asked Skye who shook her head and I smirked, buttressing my point.

"I know the guys from Atlantic Hall School." Mateo scrunched up his nose in annoyance as he talked about one of the two other schools. "Bunch of assholes." He muttered in disdain and I chuckled as memories began to flood my mind.

Atlantic Hall was another big school in Lagos. We have competed with them in SS1 during a State Sport competition. Let's just say it almost ended bad for us because a certain someone couldn't control his temper. Mateo had a bad fall out with one of the athlete that had tripped him on purpose and it almost led to Limelight's disqualification.

That incident has since left a sour taste in Mateo's mouth.

"Yo, guys. They are about to start the ballot." Elyon alerted our attention and we all faced the podium. A representative of the other school, Citadel International School was already on stage.

"Can we get a representative from Atlantic Hall?" The Facilitator asked and a girl just few feet away from me stood up and began to sashay her way down the stairs in between the seats, adding extra effort to swaying her hips.

"What's doing this one? Walk well jhoor!" I heard Denola Dasilva yell from few seats behind us and everyone laughed. The girl, embarrassed, made her way briskly to the podium.

"A representative of Crescent High?" The man asked and one of the girls that has walked with Sophia and the boys stood up, gracefully making her way down to the podium.

"Last but not least. Limelight Academy." He said and everyone looked at Somadina who looked bored out of his mind.

"Don't look at me jhoor. Abeg Skye, please go." He said. Skye scoffed at his laziness but stood up and pushed between the seats to get to the stairs. I didn't need any soothsayer to tell me guys were turning their heads. I could feel it.

"Trust Skye to call attention to herself even without knowing." Elyon said beside me and I chuckled, looking at Mateo to see his face scrunched up in a deadly scowl.

"Mateo, are you good?" I asked him, trying not to laugh at his expression.

"I swear, I hate this thing na." He grumbled and I sighed lightly. I didn't like it the way guys looked at my sister either, but it seems to be affecting Mateo even more. He was keeping his cool until someone whistled.

"I must tap that ass before I leave this place." A husky voice followed the whistle and my senses heightened immediately.

What?!

"Did he just say that?" Elyon asked,her face holding shock beside me. I didn't answer her as I turned to face the asshole that had just sputtered those words about my sister but before I could speak, Mateo beat me to it.

"Take that back." His voice was dangerously calm. Everyone around that seat was watching the scenario. The guy that had spoken looked at Mateo with a sardonic smirk playing on his lips.

"And who are you?" He asked in a bored tone.

"Her boyfriend." That was me and his face turned to look at me. "And I'm her brother. So you had better watch you mouth." I warned. The guy scoffed and looked away. Mateo was seething, I was annoyed.

"Guys, what happened?" Somadina asked, oblivious of what just went down. Mateo looked at him in disdain.

"See what you caused now. You could have just gone for the stupid ballot!" He snapped at Soma and hissed. Soma looked confused as hell.

"What did I do na?" He asked but no one answered him. I sighed and leaned back to my seat, looking around the the hall.

My eyes fell on Khalil who was seated to my far right. He was talking to someone, I peered closer and the person's face came to my vision. It was Tolani. I frowned but didn't give so much thought to it so I looked away just as Skye was coming back.

"Guys!" She called excitedly. "We got paired with Crescent High!" She squeaked. Everyone let out a sound of excitement except Mateo. He still seemed pretty crossed and Skye noticed. She settled beside him and they began to talk. I saw Kunle and Adam peering across and my eyes met theirs so I waved, flashing them a grin and they waved back.

"Skye." Someone called from behind and we all saw Sophia and her friends making her way towards us. I felt Elyon squeeze my hand a little tighter and knew she was having a mental break down as a celebrity was actually coming towards us. I chuckled.

"Relax babe." I told her, released her fingers that were digging into my skin, probably drawing blood already. "You will cut the blood circulation to my brain." I teased and she smiled, flashing me a small smile.

"Sorry, I'm just very excited that I'm in the same room with a celebrity." She whispered harshly to my ears and I chuckled again, looking as they already got to us and Skye was hugging Sophia. I turned to face Kunle and Adam as they got to me.

"My guys." I released my hold on Elyon and traded Kunle in a bro hand shake and hug them Adam.

"Did you get taller from the last time I saw you?" Kunle asked, smirking teasingly as he shoved his hands into his pocket. I grimaced at him and playfully shoved him.

"Haba na. That was SS1. Do you expect me to remain the same." I said and we chuckled. Adam who was talking to Mateo and Somadina looked at me and smirked.

"I heard there is an art exhibition on Saturday. Are you game?" His face held challenge and I laughed.

"You know I am." I replied. He turned to Elyon and greeted her, recognizing her from the gallery opening of few months ago. Elyon moved away to engage herself with Skye and Vanessa and she blended in well. We guys continued to talk until we heard a throat clearing from behind.

"We were wondering where you guys went to." A small voice came from behind Adam and we all turned to look at the girls that had made their way to us. I didn't miss the look in Adam's eyes as he stared at the darker girl and I smirked.

I see you, Adam.

"Sorry, we just wanted to say hi to our friends here." Kunle replied, grabbing the hand of the girl that had spoken.

"Guys," Adam called our attention as his hands went around the shoulder of the darker girl. "This is Kunmi.  My..." He trailed off, looking for the right words while Kunmi looked at him with a raise eyebrow and a smirk. Just like every other person was.

"Your??" I inquired, filling a bit mischievous.

"My girlfriend." He looked at her, his lips stretching in a lopsided grin as Kunmi rolled her eyes at him. Kunle let out a fake cough and throat clearing that made everyone laugh.

"We see you o. We see you." Somadina chipped in and that made the laughter louder.

"Don't mind this one." Kunmi said, using her elbow to nudge Adam away from her. "Hi guys. I'm Kunmi." She smiled widely, waving at us and Hi's and Hello's rang through the group.

"Are you not going to introduce me babe?" The girl that had spoken from earlier that was obviously Kunle's babe, spoke, nudging Kunle gently at his side.

"Oh right, sorry." He apologized as he seemed distracted by God knows what. "Guys, this is Amina, my girl." He said, squeezing the girl by her shoulder for a brief minute and another round of His and Hello's rang through the group.

"That's Gabriella and Alex over there by the bus." Adam pointed to two people standing by the boss near by.

I recognized the girl as the one that had gone out to represent CH for the ballot. The face of the Alex guy looked so familiar but I just couldn't place where I had seen him. I noticed Gabriella was talking to him about something but his gaze just stared ahead, at something. Inquisitive and curious, I followed his gaze and they landed on Sophia who seemed so caught up in chatting with the girls. I looked back at the guy and saw that his gaze had not wavered.

Wawu.

Soon, the girls came to join us and we were all chatting. Alex and Gabriella also came to join us but I still caught Alex staring at Sophia from time to time. I wasn't sure if I was the only one that noticed but it seemed so because the others were still talking.

"Sophia!"

An high pitched scream sliced through our conversation and everyone looked towards that direction to see Tolani making her way towards us. Vanessa hissed and looked away, muttering something like I thought it was even someone important. I chuckled and watched Sophia's expression change to a grimace just as Tolani made her way towards us, with Khalil following behind in a confident strut.

Okayyy.

"Hi Tolani." Sophia said, a small smile gracing her lips and the smile didn't even reach her eyes. I looked at both of them in shock, surprised that they knew each other.

"You two know each other?" Skye asked, beating me to the question.

"Yeah, we do. Very well actually." Tolani chirped like an excited bird while Sophia just nodded with an uninterested look on her face.

"We just did a photoshoot together one time like that. Nothing big of a deal." Sophia dismissed with a casual wave of her hand and a bored tone. I could have sworn I saw Tolani's smile turn upside down, but just for a nanosecond. Someone nudged me by my side and I looked to see Khalil standing beside me.

"Introduce me." He said and I frowned at him, confused.

Introduce you to what?

"What?" I asked in confusion and he rolled his eyes at me.

"Introduce me to your friends or I'll do it and it might be embarrassing for you." He smirked and it was my turn to roll my eyes. I knew he wasn't bluffing so I got with it.

"Hey guys..." I started and everyone turned to me. "This is..." I started but Khalil cut me off unexpectedly, moving more into the group.

"I'm Khalil." His voice grew a notch deeper and I almost scoffed. He was standing beside Sophia now and I knew for a fact that he was about to lay on his charm.

"He's my cousin. Just joined us this session." I added and the guys nodded before going ahead to shake him and give him a bro hug, except Alex who just gave him a curt wave and looked at him skeptically. Khalil went ahead to greet the girls too, laying his charm smoothly till he got to Sophia and the smile on his lips changed to a smirk.

Here we go...

"Hi." Sophia grinned at Khalil as he took her hand in his, holding on to it daintily and longer than he shook the Kunmi, Amina and Gabriella.

"Sophia Williams." Her name rolled off his tongue like a fruit roll up, his voice rather deeper than usual I had to roll my eyes.

"Nice to meet you finally,  I'm a huge fan." He told her and she giggled, obviously enjoying the high praise while the rest of us watched.

Khalil was cool and collected, laying on his charm on very well without batting an eye lid and the teen celebrity, Sophia Williams was right where he wanted her. I looked around, watching everyone's expression. Elyon, Soma, Skye, Mateo and Vanessa's faces mostly held shock which wasn't new because I would be shocked as well if I didn't know my cousin. Tolani had a frown in her face as she looked at Sophia with disdain.

Wetin concern me, concern this one?  I looked away from her and then at CH guys.

Gabriella had her face buried in a text book, glasses pushed up the bridge of her nose, clearly paying zero attention to what was going on. Kunmi and Adam were watching too with a shocked expression, Adam's face holding more of disbelief. Amina wasn't looking, she had her gaze on her phone. I looked at Alex, really curious to know what he was thinking but his expression was impassive, I couldn't say what was going on in his head.

Strange dude.

But when I looked at Kunle, I almost fell at the intensity his gaze held. He was looking at Khalil, a glare marrying his face. His hands were off his girl's shoulder and they we're clenched into a fist at his side. I saw him look occasionally at their joined hands and he looked like he was about to explode.

Wawu.

"Okay!" I heard myself scream basically and clapping my hands together, knocking everyone out of whatever trance they were in and calling their attention to me.

"We need to go and find our rooms so that we can freshen up and rest before it's time for dinner." I looked at my watch and it read 4:15 pm.

"That's true. Lunch is by seven, I need my beauty sleep." Tolani chirped like someone had asked her.

"No body asked you, madam." Vanessa replied with and Tolani eyed her in return, walking away from us.

"I'll take it that she's not our friend?" Kunmi asked, looking between us.

"Friend?!" Mateo exclaimed dramatically before adding a gagging noise to the end of his exclamation that got us chuckling.

"May we never see evil in this life." Somadina muttered and that made our chuckle escalate into full blow laughter.

Khalil and Sophia were now walking together, talking and laughing about God knows what. I noticed that Kunle had stopped talking, which was actually weird because he was a chatter box. I looked at Alex and I saw his eyes on Kunle this time, his hand shoved into the pocket of his jeans. His face held a scowl. As if feeling like he was being watched, he looked and his eyes met mine. He held my gaze for a while before he looked away, staring away at something else.

That is not strange at all. My subconscious said in sarcasm.

Elyon came to stand beside me and I subconsciously wrapped my hands around her shoulder. I looked at her and I saw her peering at me from beneath her thick lashes.

"You seem so deep in thought." She started. "What's going on that head of yours?" She asked and I chuckled.

"Well Elyon," I paused and a smile spread on my lips as I gently squeezed her shoulder.

"I have a feeling that this would be a very very interesting week."

Mehn, it's going to be a drama packed week. 😏😏

I am really excited about this collab though. Like the drama it's going to come with is not from here at all, I swear. Riri and I have a lot of things planned for you guys so seat back and relax because... I won't say more than that.

I want you guys to note that "Perfectly Imperfect" and "Stilling the Storm" are in different timelines like I have said earlier. My book is in SS3 first term and PI is in SS2 third term. So if you are seeing something very different from how everything is being portrayed in PI, don't get confused at all.

Also, trust me when I say this boom won't spoil PIs upcoming drama because if the time line difference. This story in my characters POV and Riri's story would be in her character's POV. There is no way they will all see things from the same perspective. Just don't worry you head about anything because we have you covered. Riri and I already took time to plan this out so it's all good.
