Aurora sat at Mia's island table for breakfast. A few times a week Mia made the Lawrence girl breakfast, knowing Aurora would sometimes forget to eat if it was provided for her. It was a habit that Mia hated that Aurora got into but with her hard family life it was easier for Aurora to wait to eat until lunch.
Mia slid a few chocolate chip pancakes onto the younger girl's plate with a smile, "Here you go, Ror."
Aurora sent Mia a huge grin and a quick thank you before she began to dive into her pancake stack. The Carson let out a laugh as Aurora stuffed her face, getting a little chocolate smeared on her lips.
"You know you have about an hour before I have to take you to school, Hon, no need to rush." Mia spoke softly as she ushered the girl to slow down.
Aurora hummed, "I know, but I don't wanna be late."
Mia furrowed her brows, "For what?"
"We have a tour at the high school today." Aurora said quietly.
The Carson girl nodded her head slowly at the Lawrence girls words, wondering why she didn't mention it before. "How are you feeling about it?"
"Okay I guess." Aurora lied, hoping that Mia wouldn't question it. While Mia did notice her change in mood, she decided to leave it alone. Not wanting to make the girl feel more anxious about the day.

"As you can see, the West Valley High campus is a lot larger than the middle school, and when you become freshman next year, you'll have access to some amazing facilities." The teacher spoke as he lead the students through the halls of West Valley High.
He had discussed the different classes they offered as they entered and exited different room along each corridor. The high school students made way for the middle schoolers but not without sending weird looks their way.
Aurora picked at her chipped burgundy nail polish on her finger nails. She bit at her chapped lips as her foot tapped against the ground as she zoned out the to one of the teachers speech. She knew she should have been paying attention but she just couldn't focus. The noise all blended together.
As much as she wanted to care she couldn't, the anxiety had taken over her. Her heart rate quickened as her palms grew sweaty. To say she was nervous about being in the high school would be an understatement.
It scared her to be in the same place where her brother push Miguel off the railing. Her breath hitched at as saw the same railing. She felt better as the group was moved along. She didn't even notice how lost in thought she was until Kenny tapped on her shoulder. "You okay, Rory?" He asked.
She hummed softly, "Yeah."
"You sure?" Kenny questioned.
"It's just weird being here." Aurora admitted.
"Is it because of what happened to your friend?" Kenny asked her softly.
Aurora nodded her head, "Yeah, it's just kinda weird." Kenny hummed in response.
"It doesn't help that the teachers voice is putting me to sleep." Aurora stated as she let out a small yawn causing the boy beside her to let out a laugh.
As the tour continued on, the Lawrence girl decided to continue follow the other students before she saw Lia coming. A small smile formed on the girls lips as she nudge the boy beside her, "Your girl's heading this way." She teased Kenny before walking away, leaving the two alone.
"Ror, wait, what... hey Lia." Kenny quickly spoke leaving Rory a giggle mess as she rushed to catch up to the group.
The tour guide continued to speak as Aurora decided that she truly couldn't focus and put her wired headphones in her ears before leaving them to rest on her yellow sweatshirt. The voices around her were way too loud causing her thoughts to spiral. The soothing sound of Gracie Abram's voice calmed her down instantly. Block Me Out played through her earbuds causing a small smile to form on her lips.
Her calming moment was cut short when one of her earbuds was pulled from her ears. Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion as she turned to face two chocolate brown eyes. "Give that back, LaRusso."
"Back on last name basis aren't we, Lawerence?" Anthony questioned as he held the side of the wired earbud in his hand.
Aurora rolled her eyes at Anthony's comment, "We wouldn't be if you would give it back."
Anthony shook his head as he held the earbud in front of her teasingly before placing it into his ear, "Gracie Abrams?" The LaRusso boy questioned.
"Yeah," Aurora replied not really knowing how to respond, "Wait, how'd you even know that."
"I listen to her sometimes," The LaRusso boy admitted.
The Lawrence girl raised an eyebrow, "Seriously?" She questioned.
"Is it so hard to believe?" Anthony asked.
The blonde shrugged her shoulder, "A little bit. Never really saw you listening to her."
"I didn't until I saw you listening to her." Anthony replied softly.
"What do you mean?" Aurora asked, catching the curly haired boy's gaze.
The LaRusso shrugged his shoulders as Aurora sent him a playful glare before smacking his arm softly, "Alright, fine. You do sit beside me you know and I do happen to glance over once in a while and see what you're listening to. And she's like one of the few people you listen to, at this point she might just be your favorite artist."
A smile grew on Aurora's lips at the new found information, "You're so nosey, Ant. If I didn't know any better, it would seem like you have a crush on me." The Lawrence girl teased jokingly.
"That's presumptuous of you." Anthony mumbled her as blood rushed into his cheeks causing him to look at the floor.
The blonde haired girl paused for a moment as her cheeks turned a light shade of pink, not knowing if the boy was messing with her feelings or not. It would explain a lot if he did have a crush on me but what if his friends had put him up to this, Auroras thoughts filled with wonder and confusion, not knowing what to think.
The Lawerence decided to ignore the butterflies flapping inside her stomach and forget about what had just happened, or at least for right now. It helped that a friend of hers was quick to pull her out of her indecisive thoughts. "Lawrence! LaRusso!"
The two heads quickly turned to see Hawk walking their way. The two quickly pulled away from each other before Hawk came over and wrapped his arms around their heads, "Aren't you two supposed to be with the group?" He asked as he began to drag the two along.
"How'd you know we were even here?" Aurora asked the boy while he tried to escape his grip, before Hawk let the two go.
"El Serpiente mentioned that you were coming." Hawk spoke as he continued to lead the two towards the group. Aurora hummed in response, feeling a sense of joy that Miguel talked about her.
"So were you just waiting for us." Anthony asked as he finally managed to get out of Hawks grasp. This caused Aurora to let out a small laugh which caused Anthony to send a small glare her way.
Hawk scoffed, "You really think all I've done all day was wait for you two." Anthony and Aurora looked at each other before shaking their heads. "Good." He told the two as they could see the rest of the students. "I'll see you two tonight." Hawk said before he walked away.
Anthony furrowed his brows as he continued walking, "What did he mean?"
"The drive in movie." Aurora told him softly, "You are going, right?"
Anthony's face flushed in second before he replied, "Yeah, for sure. I'll be there."
The Lawrence girl sent him a shy smile, "Cool." She then grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the group, allowing their absence to be unnoticed in the large crowd of students.
