Aurora tucked a few strands of hair behind her ear as she watched some of her classmates pass the basketball around the gym. She pulled on her P.E shirt to help cool herself off. The gym air was hot, causing her clothes to stick to her skin. She stood in line beside Kenny as he wore his normal clothes, not having the P.E uniform yet.
She tapped her foot against the gymnasium floor, waiting for her turn to play. She wasn't exactly fond of sports but she didn't hate them either. She crossed her arms as she watched her classmates. Her eyes fell on Lia Cabrera, West Valley Middles it girl. Aurora envied the girl with all her heart, she was everything Aurora wants to be, she was perfect. She had the friends, smarts, looks, family, and the eye of every guy in the school. Lia was always in the spotlight, while Aurora was in the shadows. As much as Aurora wanted to loathe the girl, Lia was nothing but kind to the Lawrence, which made it so hard for Aurora.
Out of the corner of her eye she saw Anthony looking at her. She turned her head towards the boy and he quickly looked away with his cheeks tinted pink. A small smile formed on her lips as she shook her head in confusion at the boy.
Aurora tightened her ponytail as one of the coaches blew the whistle, catching her attention, "Okay, let's switch it up." He spoke up as the Lawerence girl dropped her arms to her sides. The coach looked towards the students, "New kid, get in there, We'll get you some gym clothes next week."
Aurora sent Kenny a tight smile as she watched her new friend walk onto the court. "LaRusso, Thompson, you're in too." The coach called out before looking at Aurora, "Lawrence, join them."
The blonde girl nodded her head at his words as she caught up to Kenny, walking alongside the boy. The two made their way to wards the center of the court. Zack stood beside one of his friends, giving him a high five and laughing before looking over at Kenny and Aurora, "Look who it is."
"I'll cover the ballerina." Anthony told his friends, passing the ball harshly at Kenny. Aurora glared at the boy, rolling her eyes at his comment. Kenny dribbled the ball as Anthony got closer to him. Aurora backed away as she watched the two face off, one-on-one. Anthony moved to block Kenny, trying his best to get the ball, but the Payne went around the LaRusso boy before making a basket.
Aurora smiled as he made the basket. She made her way over to the boy holding up her hand for a high five, "Good job, Kenny." Kenny walked towards her with a grin before slapping her hand, "Thanks, Rory."
Anthony clenched his fist as he watched the two before letting out an aggravated groan. He took a few steps back in defeated. "Come on, LaRusso, you gotta stop that!" Zack told his friend. The LaRusso sighed before looking around the gym for the ball. When he spotted one of his teammates with the ball, he called out, "I'm open."
The ball was passed to Anthony as Kenny made his way towards Anthony to steal the ball. As Anthony went to shot the ball, Kenny jumped up to block the ball, hitting Anthony in the face causing him to fall to the ground.
The gym erupted into a fit of laughter. Aurora covered her mouth as a gasp left her lips, debating on whether to laugh or not. She saw how pissed Anthony looked as Zack walked away from him and decided to make her way over the boy as Kenny did the same. When Kenny began to apologize Anthony got even more upset with the boy, "Bullshit!" He told Kenny as he snatched the basketball out of his hands. The tension between the two could be cut with a knife.
"Hey, come on." Lia spoke as she walked over to the two, "Give the new kid a break, Ant."
Aurora grimaced at the nickname that Lia gave the LaRusso. "He didn't mean to hurt you, LaRusso. And besides after that shit you pulled on the bus earlier, I wouldn't be surprised if he did it on purpose." Anthony looked over at Aurora, heart dropping at her words. Aurora flashed him an annoyed smile as Lia spoke up, "We've got a game to finish."
Anthony passed the ball to Lia as he let out a sigh. He nodded his head slowly, glancing between the two girls, "Yeah, all right." Anthony backed away from the three as he made his way back towards his friends. This left Lia with the ball, standing in front of Kenny and Aurora.
"Just ignore them. Dope shirt, by the way." Lia told Kenny with a smile before she walked away.
Kenny went to reply but she had already left. He stood there mouth opened, as he watched Lia like a lovesick puppy. Aurora chuckled at her friend as she placed her hands on her hips, "You're gonna catch flies in your mouth if you keep gawking at Lia."
"Oh, shut up." Kenny told her as heat rose to his cheeks as he looked over at her. "Do you think she likes me?"
Aurora hummed in response, thinking of what to say, "Maybe... but hey." The two made eye contact as Aurora gave him a reassuring smile, "Let's worry about her later, right now, we gotta game to win."

The blonde headed girl stood in the cluster of students at the front of the math classroom. She bit her lip as she waited for her name to be called by the teacher. Each class she has had to sit next to Anthony due to their last names being next to each. Towards the beginning of the day she didn't mind as much but after P.E she didn't want to be anywhere near him. She was also disappointed that she only had lunch and P.E with Kenny.
Throughout the day she continued to feel his gaze on her. Anthony continued to look at the girl debating on whether to talk to her or not. He apologized earlier but he knew he screwed up after his confrontation with Payne earlier.
"LaRusso, Lawerence, back table." The teacher called out as she pointed to the table in the back. Both teens were snapped out of their thoughts. Aurora let out a sigh as she made her way to the back of the classroom, Anthony following behind her. Aurora placed her backpack down before pulling out a pencil and a notebook. The one thing she liked about classes changing, was that the first day was work free.
Aurora put her arm on the desk, resting her head on top of it. She took her pencil and doodle random drawings from flowers to little animals to superhero's, especially Spider-Man. Something about the web-head hero always fascinated the girl. She loved how he was a nerdy dorky but also had a huge heart and stopped crime at night. She admired his selflessness and she also loved his color scheme, blue and red always went well together.
A voice disturbed her from her thoughts, "Whatcha drawing?" Anthony whispered to the girl, not wanting to get her into trouble with the teacher. Aurora look over at Anthony, furrowing her eyebrows, debating on whether or not to reply to the boy. She decided not to reply as she kept drawing.
Anthony rolled his eyes as he carefully pried the notebook out of her hands. Aurora let out a small huff as she crossed her arms, leaning back into her seat. Anthony's eyes widened in amazement as his fingers traced the drawings. He knew she could draw, but these were amazing, the LaRusso thought. He smiled as he admired the artwork. He turned back towards the Lawrence before whispering to her, "These are really good, Rory."
Heat rushed up to her cheeks, trying them a light pink. She sent a small smile his way, "Thanks, Anty." Aurora told him softly.
The LaRusso continued to look at the Lawrence's drawings. His grin brightened when he saw the few images of Spider-Man. "You're a Spider-Man fan?" Anthony questioned.
Aurora nodded her head, "I mean, yeah." She replied, "I drew him for a reason."
Anthony then began to stumble over his words, "Yeah, uh... yeah, I guess that makes sense." He told her which caused Aurora to let out a quiet laugh. "I like him too. I mean, he's my favorite superhero. One of Marvels best."
"I totally agree." Aurora told the boy with a grin.
"Yeah?" He questioned as Aurora gave him a small nod of reassurance, "I mean, yeah, obviously."
The blonde headed girl laughed at his response. "You know, you give off major Peter Parker vibes. You're both huge dorks."
Anthony rolled his eyes, "I guess so..." The boy dragged his sentence on as he handed back her notebook. Aurora gave Anthony a smile as she thanked the boy. "You know, I like this side of you a whole lot better." Aurora admitted to the boy.
Anthony's gaze softened on the girl, "You'd be the first." Auroras smile faltered a little at his statement. She tilted her head in confusion. Others certainly had to love the sweet, annoying, dorky side of the boy, right? "What do you mean?" Aurora questioned the boy.
The LaRusso let out a small sigh as he ran a hand through his curly black locks. "Not a whole lot of people dig all the nerd shit."
Aurora shrugged her shoulders, "I guess I'm not like other people." She looked back at Anthony, immediately making eye contact with the boy.
"Excuse me." The teacher spoke causing the two to look away from each other. Aurora snuck into her seat as Anthony looked down at his shoes, "Do I need to separate you two or can you wait to do whatever that was later?"
"We're good." "It's okay." The two teens said at the same time causing the two to look at each other before focusing their attention back to the whiteboard.
After a few moments of silence between the two, Anthony leaned over to Aurora. "So, we're like Peter and MJ?" Aurora furrowed her brows at the question, "What?" Clearly confused about what the boy was talking about.
"We're like Peter and MJ." Anthony repeated, "You know the nerdy dork and the pretty, smart girl."
Aurora let out a small laugh, not thinking too much into it even though she would later, especially after the fact that he called her pretty. "Uh, no. We're like Peter and Gwen. Well, at least I'm like Gwen. Right now you're acting like Flash Thompson." Aurora told Anthony.
Anthony scoffed at the girl's response, "A few minutes ago you said I have off Peter Parker vibes."
"Yeah, I did." Aurora confirmed, "But that was before I remembered how much of a jerk you were being earlier."
The LaRusso boy let out a small sigh, "I said I was sorry, Rory."
"I know you did." Aurora told Anthony, "But you really need to apologize to Kenny, okay."
"Okay, I will." Anthony said with a sigh causing Aurora to smile, "Thanks, Anty." Anthony's cheeks redden at her words before he sent her a small grin, happy to of made the girl smile.
