C H 4 : Return

** Third Person's P.O.V **

Breathing, in this coffee shop we share.

Little did he know that she just did.

“HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHH!!”

Oh, Hendley, she laughs loudly like it was the most funniest joke in the world, for her it was, but for the family, it was embarrassing.

“Goodness, she her laugh is much louder than mine.” Kathy, Y/n's little sister, exclaimed. Looking rather surprised that someone could stoop that low to reach her level.

“She doesn't look embarrassed with the fact that everyone in the cafe is looking at her like if she is insane!” Everyone at the table either laughed, giggled or just gave a small remark about it.

She then turned her head towards Hendley's direction, pointing at her with two fingers to the chest. “5 words, You, I strive to be you.” She states, seriousness laced her voice.

“That was 6 words.“ Y/n lightly flicks Kathy's forehead while clicking her tongue in disappointment. Everyone in the table then bust out into a fit of giggles.

“That's was for the aesthetic of it!” She retorts, crossing her arms and glaring at her sister at the corner of the eye. “Y'know that I didn't mean that.” Y/n coos, slowly wrapping her hands over her sister's waist.

Soon, the frown on her face curved upwards as a smile danced on her lips. “I hate you.” She mutters, not really meaning it. Y/n giggles at her sister's antics.

They are like this from the beginning of the vacation. Always competing on whom could be the weirdest person in the group, like laughing loudly or doing insanely weird stuff that will make your family question your sanity or will to exist in this world.

Resting her hand on her face, she examined everyone's joyful facial expressions, their smiles and happy faces that radiated so much joy and affection that she hasn't seen or felt in years when they just sit down at the table and talk.

She missed these kinds of things. While she day dreamed about this happening over and over again, she could feel something. She felt something touch her, seemingly like someone was watching her. Looking around, she saw no one.

It must be a weird feeling.

She shrugged it off, knowing that nothings going to happen if she doesn't let it. Going back to her family's attention, she noticed that everyone was looking at her. “Oh, sweetie. You day dreamed again.” She looks at them surprised that they said nothing about to snap her out of it.

“We don't wanna intrude, but we'll repeat it again and this time, no day dreaming.” Her mother inquires, and Y/n nods her head.

“Okay, so you know that we live pretty far from here so we decided that we're gonna move here tomorrow morning.” Her mother calmly states, barely able to keep a smile on her face because he's knows that she get to see her child whenever she wants to.

Be it if she has a boyfriend or not. Wink wink.

Be it if she has enemies from the past or not.

“Really!? That's amazing! I could get to see you all the time now for the rest of my life!” Y/n states excitedly. Her mother warmly smiles at her daughter, feeling overjoyed.

“YEAH! WE COULD HAVE SLEEPOVERS AND TEA PARTIES WITH OUR VERY OLD FRAGILE CREEPY-LOOKING CHINA-IMPORTED PORCELAIN DOLLS! WOOHOOOOOOOO—” Kathy tries to climb up the table but Y/n's father quickly pulled her down to keep her from screaming any more insanities.

The family hen giggles at Kathy's antics even when everyone in the cafe is looking at them weirdly. The brush it off like it is a normal exchange in between everyone.

She knew that this was the best gift that was given to her. She hopes this this will never change.

She went back to examining everyone for a few minutes before that feeling of being watched is gone.

For some reason, she felt so empty.
