I looked at sumbul completely confused , i thought maybe my exhaustion took over me but i'm sure i heard him well .

« His majesty Sultan Selim took the kids with him to the hunting lodge along with Princess Monica » i felt enraged when i heard him utter those words .

« Who gave you the right to send my kids away without me knowing » i yelled at him but he just stepped back and tried to calm the situation .

« How can I say no to his majesty- but he didn't have bad intentions » the thought of him going with the princess and taking my kids with him angered me and made me mad .

« There is no time to waste im going to get my kids back here , Ahmet can't stay without me » I immediately called in the maids to help me change

« Sultana i don't think it is a good idea , this will anger his majesty a lot » Sumbul was right but i didn't care about his reaction , my kids shouldn't be taken away from me .

« I don't trust that princess , she might do something to him or his majesty . why did they go when i was away » i was getting more mad each time i answered him .

« Sehzade ahmed wanted to go with his majesty for so long and » i interrupted him «  Ahmed wanted to go with me and his father not with this princess »

the maid put a dress on my bed as she freed my hair from the ponytail i had .

« I can't grant the safety of my kids with that woman , now leave and tell them to prepare my carriage » i ordered him and be immediately left my room as the girls helped me get ready .

I was getting so impatient and just wanted to go and see my kids to ensure that they're safe , i didn't even want to understand why Selim did this . He had some explaining to do , i ignored my exhaustion and headed towards the carriage .

I just hoped we would arrive fast before the night arrives , i took the time to sleep inside the carriage to catch at least some rest . it took us the whole evening to finally arrive , the sun was already set when the carriage stopped infront of the hunting lodge

I stepped out of it and the guards there were confused on why i was there , nonetheless they still announced my presence making all of them turn to the other side .

« Where is his majesty » i saw an agha right in the entrance and asked , he looked down and answered me .

« His majesty is not here but the sultanas and sehzadeler are inside » i walked past him as i searched for them , the agha immediately took me to the room they were in

The maids opened the door and there i saw my kids sitting next to each other as they chatted . They all looked at me shocked

« Valide » they all said to each other and came running towards me , i hugged all of them .

« Mother we missed you so much » Gevher spoke to me as she kissed my hand , Orhan backed away to let hatice hug me .

« I've missed you too, i am here » i told the three of them before ahmet came running as he hugged my waist , i got down to his level and hugged him tightly .

I have missed them so much .

« Mother , why did you leave » his question surprised me but i knew he was still a child .

« I didn't leave my lion , i was busy with your grandfather . but now i am here » i broke the hug and patted his head slowly .

« How is our grandfather doing ? i hope it's not something serious » Gevher asked worriedly as she was so close to my father .

« It's nothing serious » i had to lie so she doesn't get worried even more .

« Does his majesty know you're here ? » Orhan asked and i shook my head « no he doesn't , but they told me he's not here » Hatice and gevher looked at each other .

« Is there something i should be aware of ? » i asked as i looked at the three of them but they all looked away , i looked down at ahmet .

« Orhan , take ahmet with you i will be right back » i told my eldest son who grabbed his brothers hand and left me with my daughters .

« Hatice , Gevher » i looked at them and then went to sit on the sofa « I am all ears , tell me everything from the beginning to the end » they followed me and each one of them sat next to me .

hatice looked at the floor and then began to speak « Valide , you remember when Ahmet was harassing all of us to travel with him . well my father has decided to take us all together and knew that you wouldn't want to go because of my grandfather's sickness »

Gevher continued « Ahmet was growing upset by your absence and his majesty thought it was going to ease him but the thing is that that princess also came with us » just hearing about this made my blood boil .

The princess was here too . alone with him

« I won't lie to you mother but this princess has some other intentions , she tried to fill your place but none of us were complying with her » Hatice continued and then reached for my hand .

« This princess has to leave , she has to go or else she'll ruin all of us » i finally reacted to what they were saying and honestly i was furious and upset about this whole thing .

i already had enough on my plate and this was just the tip of the ice , that princess obviously had other intentions .

« Now where is your father is he here ? » i asked them and they shook their head , obviously .

« He left with the princess but he will be here in no time » i tried to control my anger infront of my girls but i could sense they were also not happy about this whole thing .

« i will go check on ahmet , he must've had a hard time » i said trying to get up « He sure did , but i don't think he will forgive you that easily » Hatice teased and i knew she was right , i had to make it up for him .

As i wanted to get up the aghas announced the arrival of Selim and in no time he was inside the room . we bowed down to him and i locked my eyes with his , i was unsure of what i had to say

« Hiranur what are you doing here » he gave me a worried and confused look at the same time . the girls looked at us uneasy

« Gevher , Hatice . Leave me with your mother » they both excused themselves and left us together , i walked towards him and kept a straight face .

« I heard that you took my kids with you that's why i came here » i said keeping my voice steady , even if he was my husband and he gave me comfort but i couldn't deny his intimidating aura .

« They're with me why would you be worried , and i knew you were going through hard time » he was right but i didn't want to admit it yet .

« But taking them wasn't going to solve anything , they don't like going with strangers they don't know » he raised an eyebrow and stepped closer to me .

« What are you trying to imply here ? are you going to stop me from taking my kids whenever i want ? » my eyes were trying to not look anywhere else as i proceeded what he was saying .

« you know exactly what i'm trying to imply , why did you take that princess with my kids that's the part i don't understand » he chuckled and look down for some time before looking back at me .

« Look i know you're stressed out with what's going on with your father so that's why i advise you not take things too far » he was escaping my question .

« No don't make me look like i'm lunatic here , and you just ignored my question . i don't tolerate that woman » He didn't answer , my question was hanging in the air .

« I am not making you look lunatic , i just want you to realise that i did this for them , and i don't have to take permission from anyone including you to take them anywhere i want » what he just said punched me in the stomach, i never thought he would say such things .

I stepped back .

« You have to ask me , you may be the sultan but that doesn't change anything . you're bound to ask me first , i don't trust them with anyone and you know that more than anyone else else » i was getting more furious as this conversation kept going .

« Look , i don't want to say anything that will hurt you or make this situation even worse as i know what you're going through  . you know well enough that this whole situation is ridiculous . you will go back to the capital and wait for us there until i decide to bring them back » i couldn't believe what my ears were hearing , was he ordering me to go back ?

i couldn't help but let out a sigh in disbelief and disappointment.

« Are you ordering me to go back ? » i asked once again to make sure i heard everything well . and that i was not being delusional

« Yes that is what i asked you , go back and stay with your father until he gets well . this is not a punishment , don't consider it as one . This is simply to make you understand that i have as much right as you do on the kids » This was my breaking point , i couldn't hold myself anymore from bursting .

« Fine , but ask the kids first how they will feel about this . or you know what ? let them run towards your dear princess and live all together that will be ideal » i raised my voice angrily because of what he was saying , i stepped closer and could sense from his expression that he was getting angry .

« Watch your tone and what you're saying . you're accusing me of things you're not even sure of » i looked down at his hand and realised that his ring was missing , that was the ultimate justification of what i was implying .

« You're right » i grabbed his hand and pointed at his missing ring , he looked at it and sighed « It's not what it looks like and you know that » he tried to explain himself but i was just tired

i didn't want to hear any of this anymore , i was fed up .

« It definitely is , now i am leaving » i bowed down to him and walked towards the door furiously . i didn't even want to look back nor talk to him anymore , i was in disbelief .

As i was leaving i saw the princess speaking to her personal maid and i fought back the urge to grab her hair and throw her out of my life . I walked past her completely ignoring her , i was heading back to the capital for once .
