thankful is a small word who doesn't do selim justice for being by my side , he didnt move an inch from the room and only left me when he had to talk with someone .

He fed me , talked to me , made me laugh , and most importantly made me feel happy . i thought after this accident he'll not have time for me but in fact he did have

Three days have passed since the incident and i  felt slightly better , i could finally start moving a bit but only on my right side and it was killing me . Selim was having breakfast in the room and i was watching him because i was still waiting for mine due to medicines . i had to wait an hour

" Why do you look grumpy do you want to be in my place ?" he asked after taking a sip from whatever he was drinking .

" No im not hungry anyways" i said before my eyes traveled somewhere else but fell on his table again . i didn't eat since yesterday and i'm such a morning person i love having my breakfast in time

" Your eyes don't say that" he answered me and i sighed before laughing . " You already know the answer" i spoke which mad him chuckle as he turned his back to me and table

"No what are you doing i was watching you" his back slowly turned to me and had a very amusing smile .

"Oh ?" he fixed his posture again so that he's facing me again" i am that entertaining i guess" i nodded quietly as i pushed my hair off my face .

" I mean that's why you fell when we first met" his statement was followed with a laugh and i stared at him in shock

"You can't use that against me okay" i finally let out a laugh and he kept teasing me about it .

" Do you feel bored here ? because i'm the only one that's entraining" he talked again with a proud look in his face .

" I mean it's not fun sleeping all day but i have you here so it's not boring" i honestly answered which made his smirk dominate all of his face .

" I like your honesty" he answered right away before he continued eating , he was very beautiful i couldn't help but watch him .

A knock interrupted the moment revealing no one but my mother , i was taken aback and surprised . how did she travel all the way to here to see me ?

"Mom?" i said moving my body slightly , my mom waited for selim to let her in and when he did she immediately ran to my side .

"Are you okay , i couldn't sleep at all after what happened" she carefully hugged me as she started kissing my head in every spot . it was never like this , she never did this with me at least

" Mom there's no need to be worried im okay" i heard selim's chair moving and he stood up from his seat and so did my mom .

"I'll leave her with you , you must have missed her" he looked at me then my mom before leaving the room leaving us two .

"Who did this ? i have to know hiranur". she immediately said right after selim left . she took a seat next to me and grabbed my hand

"If the bandits didn't stop you then you wouldn't have been stabbed" she started analysing but i just stared at her blankly

"The bandits wanted to kill me especially , the man that stabbed me had no hand in this . i was going to die anyways" i answered and her eyes only grew bigger at my statement .

"No one would dare to do this , did you have any quarrel in the harem?" she whispered that because she knew what she was saying was dangerous and so will my answer be

"I had it with sah and esmehan sultan" my answer shocked her even more . i didn't wanna talk about what happened at all , i wanted to focus on my recovery .

because it will be over for them once i step a foot in the palace and they're not ready .

"In fact i should ask you how did my father allow you to come he thinks everything is dangerous" she sighed loudly and looked at the ceiling before her eyes shifted towards me

"After knowing about this he fell sick for half of the day , he couldn't stop asking about you and he wanted to come himself before his majesty ordered him to stay there" it made me feel happy that he cared , we always bonded so i shouldn't be surprised

" He wanted to come so bad , he didn't want me to come without him but he let me come . he was scared the same thing would happen to me so he sent a lot of guards with me" i nodded after her and listened . i mean obviously he wouldn't send her unprotected

" and what about my sister ?" her expression fell and she grew silent after my question .

she still holds a grudge .

"She wanted to come to but he didn't let her , she asked about you several times" based on her tone i could tell she was just lying to me .

"Don't lie to me mom , i know that she wouldn't ask about me" she kept looking elsewhere and decided to let me rest . and i wanted that to

i wasn't hungry anymore , my sister still thinks i'm the evil one and those witches are probably planning to kill me again . i wanted to tell selim everything and that i suspect them

she kissed me goodbye and left , but soon after breakfast came and ate in silence before selim barged in mid eating .

"You're eating without me ?" he closed the door behind him and entered the room . i stopped chewing and swallowed it down

" I don't feel hungry anymore" i pushed my plate aside and drank water , meanwhile he came to the other side of the bed and came closer to me .

" did something happen ? did your mother upset you ?" he knew something was up and i didn't know it was obvious my mood dropped .

" With all of this i don't know if i'm okay anymore , i need to know who did this to me" i honestly said and he seemed to agree strongly with me .

" I told you that all of them were killed and now we have no clue to know who did this but i promise you i will do anything to find them" he cups my cheeks and places a kiss on my cheek .

"What if we never find him ?" i continued " what if the person who tried to do this does it again ?" his expression was still the same .

" I will protect you from everyone, this time you'll never travel alone . it's either both of us or nothing" i felt reassured , because who would want to get rid of him ? no one .

" i love you" i said looking straight into his eyes which made him smile shyly. his finger brushed my hair behind my ear leaving him the space to place a kiss on my cheek .

"I love you too" he whispered to me as our faces were only inches apart .

i never thought me and him would get so close in matter of months , i thought he was gonna be horrible but he was the sweetest person ever .
