I was rushing around my apartment. It was graduation day and I was hella stressed. What if I didn't know when I was called on to stage? I was the only not hearing person there! Oh my god. I pulled my dress on and my heels as my hair was done in a low bun with some tiny strands loose on the front to make it a little more natural looking. I looked in the mirror at my outfit.

I love it. I quickly walked to the living room where Charles was. He walked out of the kitchen with a glass of water and stopped in his track when he saw me. He wore a pair of dark blue dress pants with a powder blue dress shirt. He would bring his mom with him and that would be the first time that I would meet her.

-you look so gorgeous-

-thank you-

-time to go?-

-yes. I want to be on time.-

-okay let's go then-

He drank his water in one big gulp before we stepped into his Ferrari and he drove us to the location. I got out and quickly kissed Charles his cheek before rushing to the back of the stage while Charles went to find his mother and take place in the big room filled with chairs. I got a paper filled with text with what and how we would be doing graduation. We would be in a long row waiting backstage and be called on stage on by one. The person behind me grabbed her phone and started typing before handing it to me.

I will tap your shoulder when you should go on stage if that helps you?

I gave her a smile before we waited in line. After I felt her tap on my shoulder I made my way out on the stage. I got my doctor's coat and stuff on and then got handed my diploma after signing it. While I walked off stage I found Charles and gave him a smile when I saw someone next to him whisper something into his ear. Probably his mother as she looked a little on the older side. I walked off the stage and after exciting the building and walking to the front of the building I was engulfed in a hug from Charles.

-I'm so proud of you!-

-thank you.-

I smiled proudly at him as he looked to the side. I saw a woman standing next to him. His mom. I gave her a soft wave and she waved softly back.

-that's your mom right?-

-yes. She says hi.-

-say hi back for me please.-

-oh she says you're really beautiful. I agree with that. That doctor's coat suits you.-

-thanks-

He translated everything for his mom and me which was really not that easy to do but it was the only way to communicate. She looked so sweet and happy. The way she looked at her son was so sweet and proud. It's a way every mother should look at their kid. After a few moments she said bye and went home while Charles took my hand in his and together we walked back to the car. We went home and he had ordered some amazing food. We were eating when he placed his cutlery down and looked at me. I looked back up at him.

-you have 4 month off right?-

-yes. Why?-

-do you want to travel with me? To races.-

-of course I would want that. That only means we have to go fully public. Do you want that?-

-I want it if you want it.-

-that was not my question.-

-I know but I don't want you to feel rushed into things. Whoever I chose to be with will have to do it. I don't have a choice. You do.-

-you're too cute.-

-so what is it?-

-I'm fine with going public.-

-can I post that picture of us then?-

-which one? We have multiple.-

-the one in the white. When we came back from dinner the other day.-

-post whatever you want.-

He smiled widely at me before he picked up his phone and started making an instagram post. I saw my phones flashes for a notification and clicked on it to see Charles his post.

My heart just melted at the way he had done the 'I love you' hand sign and a little heart. I poured at him as I did the hand sign back to him. He gave me one of those proudish smiles of him. Such a cutie.

-do you mind if I do a livestream later? Ferrari asked me to do one this week for the fans.-

-I don't mind. I'll try and be silent for you but I then again I can't hear how loud I might be.-

I could see he laughed because his body vibrated in a different way from breathing. I never laughed only smiled at him. How could I laugh when it's hard to joke with sign language. Life really is different as a deaf person.

-don't care about being loud. They know I have a girlfriend now so I don't care if you come into view or anything.-

-thank you.-

After we finished eating I said I would clear the table so he could go stream. He would be on the sim he said. After doing the dishes and doing Charles his laundry... yes this man doesn't know how to do his laundry or iron it. I sat down on the couch. I turned on the tv and turned off the sound because I didn't need that anyway. After a while I walked to the office and walked in to be immediately in the camera's view of Charles his stream. He spotted me because he looked at the camera's view and turned his head to look at me.

-hey. What's up?-

-I just wanted to say good night. I'm heading to bed right now. It's 1AM.-

-is it? I'll come in a few minutes.-

-don't rush.-

He looked at his screen and I saw his mouth move as he signed with his hands. He had gotten into the habit to sign everything he said when I was around so I knew what he said.

-to answer all the questions, yes that Lowen. Lowen is my girlfriend.-

He stopped a little and turned his head and stretched out his hand for me to take his. He pulled me on his lap and I sat down before he talked again.

-Lowen has been deaf for the past 7 years so I learned sign language to communicate with her. She will be coming to a race soon. Depending on how that goes she might come to more or not depending on how well it goes because it's harder when you're deaf. Most people can't communicate really well with her.-

After we sat there at the stream for 15 more minutes Charles finished it and together we got ready for bed and then snuggled up into the bed.
