Val POV (This is going to be a happy chapter for me)

Not much happened around the tower after a few days after our date. Grayson and Damian were back in Gotham for a few days. Passing through the corridor I heard vomiting in Kori's room, most likely in her bathroom. I went in to check on her to see her bathroom door slightly opened.

"Kori, you okay?" I said.

"Yeah, I believe I have the bug of sickness," she says.

It was weird cause it has been happening for two days, and usually it should have eased by now.

"Can I come in?" I say

"Sure," she says.

I see her smiling a little with her arms rested on the toilet seat.

"Do you need anything?" I say. "Have your medication been working?"

"No, maybe it's because I'm Tameranian," she says

"No, it should work, humans and Tameranians have similar immune symptoms and cell structure," I say

"Oh, can you get a hair tie, I might be here for a while," she says

"Sure," I then go out scavenging her room for one. I soon give her a black scrunchie that makes sense since she has such thick hair. I then walk past Jamie in a black shirt and a grey sweat pants.

"Val, can I talk to you actually?" he says

"Sure," I say.

"Well, actually," he looks around. "In my room is better,"

Opening his door. "You know how you went on a date with Damian," he says

"Yeah,"

"Well, during that time. Gar and Raven have grown close," he says

"What!!!!!" I start to jump up and down in excitement.

"Oh and, I need help with something," he rubs the back of his neck. "I want to ask Traci on a date,"

"yyyyyyyyyyy- YAY!!!!!!" I say

"Well, what do I do? Where do I take her?" he says

"Well is there like a movie she wants to watch or cafe?" I say, brainstorming some ideas.

"Well, there's this one and cafe she really likes that she told me about..." he trails off

"Then take her to it, and then the cafe," I say

"Yeah, but what happens if she says no? And what about the scarab? And my superhero life?" he rambles. "I did not think this through,"

"Jamie, listen to me. If she says no then we can watch heartbreaking movies together, and I will be right there with you. Second," I walk to his scarab "You, be good," it then beeps. "Third, if we can all manage to balance this type of life, you'll be good," I assure him.

"Alright, I'll give it a go. She's working in the centre today, maybe I'll ask her-"

"Now, come on let's go. Wait, I need to get change for this," I run off to my room.

I put on a woolly tan turtleneck, black ripped jeans and short black leather boots. I run back to Jamie.

"Okay, let's go," I say jumpingly.

Walking down the street to the centre Jamie was in deep thought.

"Jamie, it's going to be fine," I say

I nice Autumn, September breeze kicks in, with a cafe door opening letting out the sweet aroma of the smoky french croissants and a strong scent of coffee beans. Crossing the street to the centre we saw Traci behind the counter, with a few people there eating soup and bread. I followed Jamie to the counter where I saw the brown-headed girl who looked sweet looking.

"Jamie, I didn't know your coming? Ah, who's this?" she said a little nervously.

"Oh, this is Val," he said

"Hi, Jamie's told me all about you," I say, shaking her hand.

She looked a little jealous, aww how cute she likes him too.

"Are, you two, together. Cause Jamie never mentioned it," she said.

Jamie and I looked at each other and we just laughed.

"What? Me and her?" Jamie said.

"No, I'm his friend, and honestly he is a brother to me. Besides, I have a boyfriend," I say with her looking relieved. "Speaking of which, Jamie isn't there something you would like to say. Why we came all the way here for," I gave him a nudge.

"Oh, yeah," he said nervously. "Val, um privacy,"

"Oh, yeah," I took ten steps back watching them.

"Would, you like to-, uh, go on a-, I mean to watch that movie you liked so much with me-, then to that cafe you really like," he stutters.

"As in a date?" she says with a little bit of hope.

"Yes as in, on a date!" I shout out.

"Yeah,"

"Say yes!" an old man says

"listen to him!" I say

"Yes!" she says

I start jumping up and down clapping my hands. I run to them happily.

"Jamie I hope you know that Gar will never hear the end of this! Aren't I the best wing woman?!" I say

"Yes, you are," he says.

I start skipping down to the exit

Telling Gar was amazing, Gar literally jumped on Jamie when he came through that door.

"Dude, That's amazing!" He says

"Yes Jamie, it wonderful for this nice girl to court you, I hope Aphrodite gives you guys her blessing," Donna says

"I'm going to tell Kori," I say going to Kori's room.

Heading in I see Kori on her bed, lying there and had some Tameranian food next to her. She looked like she was having a bad headache.

"Kori, I have some news," I say sitting at the edge of the bed.

"What is?" she says

"Jamie got a date with the girl he likes," I say

"That's nice, I'm so sorry I've been acting sick and weird lately. I've just been sick," she says

I look at Kori's fatigue, it looks like she gained a few which was odd cause she was always in shape. Then it hit me, oh my god why didn't I recognise before. I mean Kori was almost thirty and was an appropriate age.

"Kori, when is the last time you and Gray-," I really didn't want to say the word. "Um, you know,"

"Uh, a week ago, why?" Kori said

I just gave her that look.

"Oh, oh my," she got up putting her hand on her mouth.

"Kori, all the signs are there, do you want to go to the pharmacy?" I say

"Yes, let's go now," she says getting up.

Kori gets a jumper and we head out, I whisper to Rachel what's going on and she nods.

We went up to the counter clerk where she turned to us. I looked at her name tag: Emily

"Hi, um I was wondering to where we can take the test," Kori says. Using the woman code

"Oh, yes isle three. If you like we have a bathroom over there, after you buy it, and instructions are on the back by the way," she says smiling at us with her hazel eyes.

"Thank you," Kori says.

Kori buys it and heads to the bathroom, I wait on the other side sitting down. Kori was going to check three times to make sure. Right now I'm imagining Grayson jumping up and down with joy or probably fainting of happiness.

I get a text from Rachel

💜 Rachy 🖤: any results?

Me: No, not yet, she's trying three times to confirm it.

💜 Rachy 🖤: K, I haven't told anyone yet.

Me: Good

After just over half an hour of waiting, Kori opens the door.

"I'm Pregnant," she smiles

Kori wanted to tell the Titans and weirdly assigned me to tell Grayson and the rest of the bat family. I tried to convince her it's better to tell him face to face but she said it would be better since the travelling wouldn't be good for the baby and that she didn't want him to come back all the way here. On my bike, it would take 3 hours to get to the manor. I also did a scan and we found out what gender it's going to be using the cradle machine. I had Ari in my helmet and called Alfred

"ARI call Alfred please," I said

"Calling now,"

Alfred: Miss Val, I didn't expect you to call so soon.

Val: What time is the rest of the boys coming back from patrol.

Alfred: Actually it's the girls as well, but probably in an hour, looking at the time.

It was currently almost 2 am and I've driven for almost three hours. I past the entrance of Gotham, and ride down Gotham's streets and make my way to the front of the manor gates. I press the buzzer.

"Alfred this Val," I say

"Ah, Miss Val, come in,"

I drove around the fountain and parked my bike just next to the stairs. I made my way to the door and knocked. Opening up was my favourite British butler.

"Miss, Val. Lovely to see you again. Why are you here?" Alfred says

"Sorry Alfred but I'm waiting for the rest," I say

"Okay, if you say so Miss Val," he smiles. "They should be coming back in fifteen minutes or so,"

I waited in the lounge room texting Rachel

💜Rachy 🖤: Kori told us! Gar is going crazy, have you told them yet?

Me: No, I'm waiting for them. So excited! 😆

"Beloved!" I hear a familiar voice. I get up and strong arms lift me up.

"Dames," I say looking at Damian.

"Hey, don't hog her!" Stephanie says giving me a hug.

"hey," I say.

The rest come in all dressed in normal clothes.

"Her guys," I say

"So Val, Alfred you have some news," Bruce says.

"Ah yeah, pretty good news actually," I say. "Dick, you may want to sit down for this,"

He sits down in the middle and I sit opposite to him next to Damian who has his arms wrapped around me.

"Well," Dick says

"Dick, Kori and I went to the pharmacy today. And she took a test," I say and I could see his eyes light up.

"Kori's pregnant," I say

A lot of screaming then happens.

"I'M GOING TO BE A FATHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!," he says jumping around the room.

"Oh, my god I'm going to be an aunt!" Stephanie squeals.

"Congratulations Grayson," Damian says

Dick is overloaded with happiness that he actually faints

Alfred then smiles and cries tears into a handkerchief. Bruce smiles as he's going to become a grandfather. A few moments later Grayson wakes up smiling.

"I'm going to be a father!"

"Good job, Dicky bird!" Jason says putting a hand on his brother's back.

"I mean, wait-," Grayson then puts his hands on my shoulder "Where's Kori? Wh-"

"Don't worry, she's back at the tower. She wanted me to come here cause she didn't want to travel for three hours with a baby in her stomach, so she sent me here," I assure him.

"Grayson, relax," Damian says

"How can I relax?! What are waiting for?! Damian, Val, let's go! I want to see my baby!" Grayson said all over the place.

"Ah, don't you want to know the gender?" I say crossing my arms.

"WAIT WHAT?! YOU KNOW THE GENDER?!" He says smiling

"Or should I wait-," I say trying to tease him

"DONT DO THIS TO ME!" He whines.

"You're having a girl," a smile

"I'M HAVING A GIRL! Come on Val, Dames let's go!"

I look at Damian "you're going to an uncle," I kiss his cheek and follow him.

"Val, give us updates!" Stephanie says.

"Will do!" I say

The happiness of Grayson towards Kori was unexplainable. He cried tears of joy, and they decided to move back to the apartment in Buldhaven, just thirty minutes away from jump city since it was near the border.

Kori and Grayson assigned Damian and I, as the new leaders of the group for our abilities and also me to keep Damian going too far. I picked up Titus as I looked at the view on top of the tower.

"Hey, they're beautiful," Damian sits next to me giving me a kiss on the lips and I lean on his shoulder.

"Look how far we've come," I say

"Yeah," he says wrapping an arm around my waist.

"You joining the Titans, Terra dying, Taking down Brother Blood, Kori and your brother are having a baby and you becoming an uncle as, well," I say

"Me being with you," he says kissing my head.

"A lot has changed," I say

"Yeah," he rubs Titus's head.

"What happens next?"
