𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲'𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐬

"Renee! Where are you?"

The manager glanced over her shoulder, surprised.

It had been a month since the girls' debut and everything had gone smoothly. The girls had even managed to win a couple music shows and their popularity was most definitely coming back at a rapid pace.

Everything was going smoothly and exactly how Renee had wanted them too. The individual promotions were going exceptionally well too.

Firstly, she had successfully gotten an OST opportunity for Mari.

There was a new drama coming out and they wanted a new, fresh artist for their OST and Mari happened to be exactly the person they were looking for. The girl had gone and sang the OST perfectly and just like that, Bittersweet's first OST was a success and loved by all.

The day that the OST was released and Mari had come home, she had been greeted with a surprise party.

Of course, her groupmates were there along with Stray Kids and Hyunjin had so proudly wrapped his arms around her and gently pulled her into a hug and refused to let go until Mya had finally whined loud enough that it was too annoying to bear so she could hug Mari. Regardless, it was a great start to solo activities.

And it only got better from there.

The next thing that Renee had done was go to America with Robin to sign a deal with Nintendo to promote the newest Paper Mario game and Robin adored it. Originally, Renee had planned for it to be the Princess Peach game, but the timing didn't work out the way she would've liked it to. Regardless, Robin was thrilled to play the game and film a couple videos for Sweeties and other Nintendo fans interested in playing.

Robin had done such a great job that she was awarded with a couple special discount codes for whatever games she wanted to buy next for them that she was saving for herself.

She had only bought one game that was only for her and Jungkook to play and the two of them would meet up regularly to play said game. Game Date Night, Robin would call it.

Following that, Renee had successfully signed Alaska off to a brand deal with Valentino.

Renee, of course, had accompanied Alaska to the filming of Valentino's newest bags collection. The girl had been an expert in front of the camera, posing with confidence and perfectly showing off both the product and her beautiful face.

Shortly after that, there had been a runway show where both Alaska and Felix were invited to attend. A picture of the two JYP idols was posted on the official Louis Vuitton and Valentino accounts and fans suddenly went from hating the ship to adoring it and supporting it. Felix and Alaska chose not to confirm their relationship because there was still far too many unknowns, but they definitely seemed happier knowing that fans approved.

Then the maknae finally got her mc opportunity. Mya became the newest MC alongside Eunchae for Music Bank and she had naturally freaked out originally meeting the idol. In the long run, it was probably better than Sung Hanbin had Jaehyun and Sohee rather than Mya because she likely wouldn't have been able to function while being next to him. Of course, their youngest was a superstar emcee and she loved waking up early to lead the show and meet all of the idols (that were also her idols).

Jeongin would text her every single week while watching the show, sending her short videos of her cutest moments while emceeing and kept saying how excited he was to perform at Music Bank again.

Next was Riley who Renee had flown to Japan with for Riley's first ever voice acting role. It was only a small role and she would only be in one or two episodes, but Riley was excited. Although Renee's Japanese was extremely limited, she was able to gather that Riley seemed to have been praised highly by the director for her talents and Renee hoped that this could lead to more opportunities for Riley.

Chan had been extremely supportive throughout the whole process and he and Riley had started watching that show from the beginning to make sure they were all caught up for when Riley's character showed up. It was always Riley and Chan's favourite night of the week. (Plus there were over 200 episodes so they had a long way to go)

Finally, Lanhua got her brand deal. Actually, Lanhua had been the first person to be offered a deal by several different brands, but the visual had taken a long time to choose her favourite.

Lanhua eventually chose Graff as her brand and the girl looked stunning in her advertisements, the jewelry accompanying her stunning visuals perfectly. Lanhua had been terrified the entire shoot that the extremely expensive necklace and earrings would break and she would have to pay for the accessories. (Luckily, they didn't break.)

Changbin's phone storage had completely run out of room and he had to buy more space so he could save more pictures of his beautiful girlfriend. Lanhua at that point had teased him, but Changbin didn't care because he had a brand new lockscreen and wallpaper. (He also almost printed out a poster of her, but Lanhua had stopped him.)

Renee sighed to herself happily, forgetting where she was for a moment.

"Renee!" Mya called out again in a more whiny tone.
"Sorry girls, I'm in here!"

Renee had been locked in her room trying to plan Bittersweet's next variety show content and the girls all crowded in, giggling.

"Alright, what did you do?" Renee sighed, turning to face the six of them.
"We didn't do anything!" Alaska protested. "We're just excited!"
"Over what, exactly?" Renee asked, raising an eyebrow.

The girls gently split to reveal Riley holding a garment bag.

Renee looked a little confused so Riley decided to explain.

"This is our thanks to you for working so hard. It's a surprise for you and it starts with you changing into this dress."

Renee stared blankly at them, not moving from her seat.

"Just get off your ass and go change," Robin sighed, walking over to Renee to pull her out of her seat.

Renee was pushed into her bathroom, the garment bag was tossed in, and then the door was slammed shut.

"Hurry and change!" Alaska called. "I'm doing your make up after Hua is done with your hair!"

The manager unzipped the bag to reveal a beautiful light blue dress that reached slightly past her knees. There was a sweetheart bodice and spaghetti straps. The pleated skirt of the dress was flared out perfectly and when Renee had put it on, it hugged her body nicely, showing off her curves.

The girl smiled at herself in the mirror as she quickly added a necklace, ring, and earring.

Renee stepped out of the bathroom and was met with the 'oohs' and 'ahhs' of Bittersweet.

"You look so pretty," Mari gasped, in awe.
"You're stunning," Riley said with a fond tone.
"Truly beautiful," Alaska agreed. "Now hurry and sit, Hua's gotta get your hair done!"

Renee was ushered into a chair and Lanhua instantly began pulling Renee's hair up into a high ponytail. There was also a curling iron warming up.

Alaska was impatiently holding her make up bag, waiting for her chance to jump in as Lanhua tied off Renee's hair and grabbed the curler.

"Okay, fuck it, I'm not waiting any longer!" Alaska blurted out, scurrying in front of Renee.

Alaska started on Renee's make up and she worked quickly and efficiently.

"Renee, Mari and I grabbed your little white purse and picked out your pair of white heels to go with the dress!" Mya called out. "I also put your phone in the purse along with hand sanitizer and emergency lip gloss."
"You and your emergency lip gloss," Robin sighed, amused. "But she will probably need it after tonight."
"What does that even mean?" Renee asked, while trying to keep perfectly still, but clearly not enough as she was swatted by Alaska.

Almost ten minutes later, Renee had been pushed out of the door as the girls blew her good luck kisses, for whatever reason.

"Hi Renee."

The girl whipped her head around and a smile instantly bloomed on her face.

In front of her was none other than Seungmin who was also dressed quite fancily and was holding a bouquet of flowers.

"Let's go on a date?"

"This is a beautiful location, Minnie."

Renee looked around in awe at the rented out planetarium.

The 'sky' was currently filled with stars that were twinkling in the sky creating a romantic atmosphere.

"It's almost as beautiful as you," Seungmin said softly.

Renee blushed at that, clearly happy to hear his praise.

"I think you know why I brought you on this date, right?" Seungmin asked, a hint of nervousness in his voice.

Renee nodded, a soft smile on her face.

"Ask me, Seungmin."
"Renee... you are the most amazing girl I've ever met. You're kind, caring, generous, passionate, and everything I ever thought my first love would be. You make me want to be a better person and I want to continuously show you everyday that I'm your person, the same way you're mine. I'm endlessly in awe of you and everything that you do. If you told me two years ago that I would become this disgustingly sappy person just because of one girl, I absolutely would've laughed in your face. But now, if you told me that you would be my girlfriend... I don't think there's anything that could ruin the rest of this day, this week, heck maybe even this year. So... do what you will with that information!"

Renee giggled at that and pressed a kiss into Seungmin's cheek.

"Does that mean yes?" Seungmin asked hopefully.
"No, sorry Minnie, I'm actually in love with Bittersweet's new director Junseo," Renee said, her face completely serious.

Seungmin completely froze in place, so shocked that he stopped breathing. Renee's serious external instantly broke and she let out a little giggle.

"Seungmin, I was just teasing," Renee chuckled, poking his side. "Are you okay?"
"You menace," Seungmin groaned. "You owe me now."
"Do I?" Renee asked, teasingly. "How about a kiss?"
"Done."

And with that Renee leaned in to finally place her lips on Seungmin's. Seungmin was quick to grab her waist and pull her in closer and deepen the kiss.

The two of them continued to kiss as Seungmin slowly backed Renee into a pillar behind them.

"Seungmin," Renee gasped at the feeling of her back hitting something.

Seungmin ignored her and gently placed a finger under her chin to lift up her head so she would kiss him again. That same hand that he used to lift her chin sank back to her waist as his grip tightened causing Renee to let out a quiet whine.

"Seungmin, I need air," Renee managed to say, hitting him gently.

Seungmin finally pulled away and was about to kiss her neck, but Renee swatted him away.

"You horn dog, we can't be doing that here," Renee laughed, slapping Seungmin's shoulder lightly.
"But you're just too hot," Seungmin grinned cheekily.
"At least let me just say that I'd love to be your girlfriend first," Renee smiled.

Seungmin's face lit up at that and it seemed to snap him out of whatever daze he was in.

"Oh fucking finally," Seungmin let out, relived. "Can we go back to making out now?"

Renee let out a happy laugh, but nodded.

Seems like she finally got her happy ending...

if you'd call making out with Kim Seungmin a happy ending.
