Author's POV.

Vihana Joshi, only girl of Joshi family. Belong from Mumbai and is Marathi. Her father and uncle have a huge sweets shops all around Maharashtra known as "Joshi Sweets". She belongs from a family which is not poor or not too rich.

[Rahul was Mithai wala in Chennai Express if you all remember. I have casted Vihana from Mumbai as Rahul was from Mumbai.]

Right now, Vihana was sitting on her bed thinking about her life. Her parents decided that she will marry a boy who is her father's friend's son, Karthik Deshmukh.

She was wearing Nauvari Saree as it was her wedding today. She was almost ready and wedding will take place after 3 hours.

Karthik is a nice guy but she didn't want to marry just yet. He is a software engineer. She dreamt big and so she decided to run away. She was surely her father's and uncle's princess. But right now her priority was to go as far as she can from here.

She picked her mobile from bed and saw a ticket to Chennai which was send by her bestfriend, Sara Tendulkar. They both studies in same school and so were bestfriends. She knew what she had to do. She is going to Run away from her own marriage.

It was 2 pm now. She looked around her house and found everyone was busy in work, so she went towards her bedroom window and threw her bag out from window. She then jumped down and picked her bag up. She looked around her surrounding and quickly ran. She had already booked a cab which will drop her to airport.

At airport.

Devdutt Padikkal, the cricketer was travelling with his IPL team, LSG to Chennai and was at airport. He was just listening to some songs with his eyes closed when he felt someone sit beside him so he looked towards his side. He opened his eyes and saw a girl wearing a traditional Marathi saree.

"Did she ran away from wedding?" He thought but quickly shook his head because he didn't want to judge a girl whom he didn't even knew.

Vihana pulled out her phone from her hand bag and messaged Sara that she had successfully ran away from the marriage.

Their conversation.

Sara

That's great finally you ran away..

Vihana

But Sara I don't know anything
about Chennai how am I gonna survive there?

Sara

Umm wait do you see LSG team around you? They have a match in Chennai so they are going to Chennai today..

Vihana

Umm yea I do see some of them.
I am sitting beside Devdutt Padikkal.

Sara

Great! Shubi is friends with him so he will drop you there and Shubi is already present in Chennai. He will take care of you and also did you tell Adu yet?

Vihana

Ahh no I didnt but I will.

Sara

No problem and call Shubman as soon as you reach Chennai okay?

Vihana

Yes yes I will. Bye now I have to
catch the flight.

Sara

Byee..

She then texted Aditi about her whereabouts and talked to her for few minutes. After that she sat there tiredly. Just then she felt someone tapping her shoulder so she looked aside and saw Devdutt. Seems like Shubman told him already

Dev - Shubman told me to drop you at hotel..

Vihu - I know..

Dev - that means you told him to drop you at hotel?

Vihu - not me but Sara did..

Dev - why did you even came to airport with this heavy saree and jwellery?

Vihu - because I ran away from my wedding.

Dev - WHAT?

He yelled and she quickly closed his mouth with her palm and said, "Shh koi sun lega." Devdutt was going to say something but he heard the announcement that flight will take off in 10 minutes. He looked at Vihana with widen eyes and grabbed his luggage.

Dev - chalo jaldi flight miss ho jayegi. Tumhe bhagna toh aayega na?

Vihu - ha ha I will run, don't worry...

She said with confidence and he looked at her weirdly. She just slapped his cheek lightly and said, "Chalo" and they ran and ran and ran and ran until they reached the flight.

After 2 minutes the flight took off and coincidentally Vihana and Devdutt were seat mates. He already hated her because of this flight problem.

Dev - how did you even ran this fast?

Vihu - main bhagne main expert hoon.

Dev - thats why you ran away from your wedding..

Vihu - sahi bola.

Devdutt just looked at her weirdly and decided to ignore her. But Vihana is a chatterbox.

Vihu - tumhari family main kaun-kaun hain?

Dev - me, Chandani did, maa, papa and my dog Barney. What about your family?

Vihu - wow.. In my family I live with My Aai, baba, kaka and kaki. But next to our house, my Aatya [bua] lives with my aaji and aajoba [grandma and grandpa] and yeah she have 3 sons who are married and five minutes away from our house my mama and mami lives with Nana and Nani. My mama have 2 sons who are married.

Devdutt just looked at her shocked. She surely have a huge family.

Dev - itni badi family? How did you even manage to run away with this many people around you?

Vihu - yeh mera first time nahi hain.

Devdutt's eyes widened and he sat straight and asked, "Matlab?"

Vihu - matlab yeh ki I have ran 3 times before this. First when my father bought Karthik who was meant to be my husband, 2nd when our engagement happened and 3rd when I had a date with that Karthik.

Dev - bro are you even for real?

Vihu - as I said I am expert in this. Now let me sleep okay. Don't disturb me.

She said and closed her eyes. Devdutt just rolled his eyes and decided to read magzine.

Little did he knew that this girl right here will change his whole life.

So Vihana's personality is similar to Meenamma and Devdutt's personality is similar to Rahul but just with his closed ones.

As Devdutt is from South, he will remain from South and as Rahul is from Mumbai our Vihana will be from Mumbai.

Also note that, none of their parents are gangsters and all okay. But yeah Vihana's father is pretty scary.

Also it's not totally like the movie. I will make many changes in this book.
