tom took a deep breath before knocking on ariana's door. he had no idea how ariana would react to seeing him, he had no idea how she reacted to the news. he rang the doorbell, no answer. he rang again, no answer. he tried opening the door, it was unlocked.

the house was so quiet, everything was still. he scanned the house until he spotted ariana, her back was to him and she was just standing still, looking at the window. she didn't blink, she didn't move, nothing. she was in complete and utter shock.

tom slowly made his way over to her and sat down next to her, his shoulder touched hers, but that didn't break her out of her trance. tom decided he was going to wait until she said something, tom didn't want to upset her. she felt safe, she felt comfort, she didn't have to look to know it was tom's shoulder touching hers, and his body that was radiating warmth to her cold figure.

tom watched as suddenly her eyes widened, he watched as everything hit her at once. it was the most painful thing. she quickly stood up, and she did something very unexpected, she started screaming. the loudest screams tom had ever heard. he watched as she began kicking over furniture, shoes, or random things lying around. he watched as she threw books, picture frames, even awards she had won that were displayed in the living room they were currently in. he watched as she went into the kitchen and took multiple champagne glasses, smashing them on the ground. her screams getting more and more hoarse due to the amount of times she had been screaming. she was angry. tom let her do what she wanted, he wanted her to do whatever with the emotions she was feeling. it was the only way she could be better.

"he's dead!" she screamed as she threw a plate at the wall, "he's fucking dead!" she repeated, throwing another plate, this one almost hitting tom.

he watched as she suddenly stopped, and slowly dropped to the floor. he watched as she curled into a ball and begin to sob. he quickly ran over to her, wrapping his arms around her. he didn't know what to say, so he decided he would say nothing at all.

she suddenly looked at him, he noticed her tear stained cheeks, he pale skin, he noticed she was also wearing one of mac's hoodies, he gave her a sympathetic smile, "i'm sorry," she said. tom gave her a questioning look, what was she apologizing for? "i know that it breaks your heart when i cry over him," she said.

tom shook his head, "no, i'd be worried if you weren't. don't worry, we'll get through this, we'll get past this," he said taking her small hands into his big ones.

she nodded her head, "thank you, for dealing with me and all. i'm a girl with a whole lotta baggage, but—," she paused, tom gave her a look, signaling for her to continue, "but i love you," she said as she hugged him. tom smiled at her words, as he hugged her back.

"i'm gonna cry some more, if that's okay," she said her voice beginning to break as she let out a little giggle.

tom couldn't help but laugh too, "my goodness grande, it's more than okay."

he watched as she began to cry again, she slowly made her way to tom's lap sitting in it. he watched as pete davidson walked in the house, seeing the two on the floor, and walking back out. he watched as the girl he loved, life crumble right in front of him.
