Kimberly just finished unpacking and realized that it was 3 PM in NYC but she still felt tired. Waking up at 3 AM was definitely not her favorite thing to do.

She was about to go to sleep when she heard a knock. "Come in!" she hollered.  Kimberly heard Charlie come in and shut the door behind him but was too lazy to turn around to face him.

"Hey Kim, just wanted to come in to make sure that you are okay. Are you?" Charlie asked the girl that was sprawled on the bed. "You look quite grumpy."

"Yeah, well waking up at 3 am isn't exactly my strongest forte." Kimberly grumbled, finally looking up at Charlie. The boy proceeded to nudge one of the girl's legs, and she moved the leg so he could sit.

Charlie stayed silent for a few moments. "You know what this reminds me of?" He asked Kimberly, who shook her head in response. "We were like six, and we had a sleepover so we stayed up all night doing ranting about stuff to each other. We fell asleep at like, 3 AM, and the next day you woke up at like noon and were grumpy the whole day. Just like now." Charlie grinned. "Seemingly not much changed." Kimberly smiled back tiredly. "I am going to leave you be. If you need food I have instant ramen in the kitchen. I trust that you won't burn my apartment down." Charlie said as he left the room.

Kimberly laid on the bed, examining the ceiling and walls of the room she was in. After a few minutes, she felt her mind trail back to her childhood best friend. His smile, his concern, just HIM. Nope. Not again. Not happening. Not after what happened last time.

Kimberly heaved herself off the bed to change into her pajamas. She looked at herself in the mirror and sighed. The girl quickly washed her face and brushed her teeth since she didn't get a chance to yet today and went back to bed. She curled up under the blankets and just as she was about to fall asleep, her phone vibrated with a notification.

Kimberly sighed happily, shutting off her phone and putting it on her nightstand. Zendaya was definitely one of Kimberly's favorite people along with Hailee, because no matter how famous the both of them got, they stayed kind and down-to-earth, never becoming the rich selfish brats many other celebrities became.

Kimberly was having a lot of wise thoughts today.

Kimberly woke up hours later. Having lost all sense of time, she grabbed her phone hastily to check it.

1:34 AM

Great. After doing some easy math that took Kimberly way too long to do, Kimberly realized that she slept for a good 13 hours. She was too lazy to get out of bed, so instead she proceeded to scroll through TikTok and other various social media.

As she was scrolling through Instagram, she realized that she was starving. Her stomach let out a loud growl in agreement. She sighed as she got up from bed, stretching out her legs. She slowly stumbled to the kitchen, using her phone light to see.

When she got to the kitchen, there was a cup of instant chicken ramen. On top of the box was a note, saying:

I remember these were your favorite when we were younger, I hope you still like these
Drinks are in the fridge :)

Kimberly smiled at the memory and a small blush crept up to her cheeks. Kimberly silently reminded herself to repay Charlie somehow one day for all of this generosity.

As she boiled the water, the girl looked in the fridge for a drink. She debated between a Dr. Pepper and a Sprite, but decided to go with a Dr. Pepper. As she pulled out a bowl and put all of the ingredients into it, Kim took out her phone. "I should make cookies!" She exclaimed after a few minutes, but immediately slapped her hands over her mouth. "Shit" she muttered. I hope I didn't wake Charlie up.

The girl looked through the cabinets and cupboards, in search of two VERY important ingredients of the cookies she was going to make. These were chocolate powder and chocolate chips.

It took her a while, but she found all of the ingredients and got to baking. She took out her headphones, and started bopping along to some Taylor songs. "King of my heart, body and soul. Oh-woah" Kimberly sang quietly as she mixed all of the ingredients. "And all at once, you're all I want, I will never let you go." Kim hummed to more of her playlist as she put the cookies in the oven. "I only bought this dress so you could take it off, take it off, ha-ha-ha."

Kimberly cleaned up the counter as the cookies were in the oven. "You're so gorgeous, I can't say anything to your face" Kimberly hummed along. One of Kimberly's life goals was to meet Taylor Swift at some point in life. She has been a die hard fan since her album, Red, came out.

"Cookies!" Kimberly whisper-yelled. She got so carried away that she forgot she had food in the oven. She took the pan out and placed the cookies on a separate plate. "I hope he still likes these" Kim muttered and grinned. If he is anything like he was when he was younger, then he will ADORE these.
