Kimberly was woken up by the sound of the pilot saying something, but as always it took her a few minutes to decipher his mumbling. She realized he was saying that they were 20 minutes away from landing. As she tried to fight off sleep, she pulled out her phone to take an aesthetic picture of LA and post on her story. (Who can blame her?)

As the plane landed, Kimberly couldn't wait to get off and go find Charlie. But of course, they had to wait for 20 more minutes before being able to stand up and leave the plane. As Kimberly found her way through a maze called the LA airport, she pulled out her phone to type up Charlie's number. She finally found the room with the exit and looked around. She looked down at her phone to text Charlie, but before she could text anything she felt two arms grab her around her waist and spin her around. Kimberly let out a small squeal and all she saw was a mess of black curls.

"Charlie! Set me down please" the girl pleaded. The boy obeyed and set the girl down. Kim took a few seconds to orient herself and then threw hers arms around his neck. "Char!" She exclaimed into his chest. "I missed you so much."

"Me too Kimchi" Charlie mumbled.

"Really?" The girl looked up at the boy. "You couldn't come up with anything better?" Charlie didn't answer her question and just flashed her  his crooked grin. Kim rolled her eyes, but she couldn't fight off the smile that came on to her face.

Seems as though they were both happy with this situation.

Soon after the reunion, the two of them headed to Charlie's car. The boy carried Kimberly's bags, much to her protests.

After much bickering, the two made it to the car without one of them dying. Soon after they sat down for their 30-minute drive, Kimberly's phone vibrated with an incoming call.

INCOMING FACETIME VIDEO CALL FROM:
Hawkeye 2.0 🏹🏹🏹

Kimberly picked up her phone and accepted the call. "What do you want, Hawkeye 2.0?" The girl on the phone rolled her eyes "I told you not to call me that!" Kimberly giggled and said "well that's too bad 'cuz it's already your contact name. Anyways, why did you call me?"

"I wanna know why you are in LA" the older girl said. Kim gasped "are you stalking me?"

"No, dumbass, you posted it on your Insta story." Hailee said. "So, what are you doing in LA? If you are not busy, we should definitely hang out." The younger girl shook her head and said "I am in LA for an audition, which is in like a week. I am mostly prepared, so I think I am not too busy."

"Ooh, what are you auditioning for?" Hailee asked. "It better not be another Disney show, you are becoming too much of a Disney girlie."Kimberly giggled and said "it actually is. It's the Percy Jackson TV show that they are making with Rick Riordan's assistance."

"Wait, they are making a Percy Jackson TV show?" Kim nodded "I didn't know that."

"Am I allowed to say that? Am I allowed to tell people about the TV show?" Kim asked no one directly.

"I don't know," Charlie shrugged "you probably aren't" he joked. "Oops" the younger girl mumbled. "Did you just call me a wuss?" The girl on the phone questioned. "No. I said -" Kimberly internally cursed herself. "I said oops. Not wuss, I am not calling you a wuss."

Charlie chuckled, which caused Hailee to notice him. "Who is the guy driving the car?" She asked Kimberly.

"Oh, that's Charlie, my childhood bestie." Kim said as she turned her camera to face him and he gave a small wave "I am staying at his place this week because of the audition." the girl shrugged.
"My dad didn't trust me enough to stay on my own. I don't know why he thinks that having two 17-year olds in a house is better than one."

"Then we should totally hang out. Guys suck!" the older girl exclaimed. "No we don't." Charlie defended. Hailee gave him an unamused look. "Yes you do!" Kimberly chipped in.

Charlie rolled his eyes with a grin on his face. "But anyways, info about the Percy Jackson TV show is already out, it's fine that you told her."

"Really? You couldn't have told me earlier?" Kim said, offended. As revenge she slapped him lightly across the arm, knowing that the boy couldn't fight back because he was driving.

"Kim, stop!" Hailee exclaimed "I don't want your first visit to LA since you were 10-years old to be your last. Let the guy drive!" Kim rolled her eyes. "Thank you!" Charlie thanked the 24-year old on the phone. "Listen to your elders, Kim."

"Anyways, I won't distract you guys further. Have fun!" Hailee said before hanging up. "Oh well that was fun. Who was that?"Charlie asked the younger girl. "Oh that was Hailee Steinfeld. I was a side character on the Hawkeye TV show, so I met Hailee there. We kinda hit it off and have been friends ever since."

"You are friends with the Hailee Steinfeld? How are you so chill about that?" Charlie asked, flabbergasted. Kimberly shrugged "when you get to know people you understand that they are just normal people, you know? Just like us." Charlie nodded "Wise words from a wise girl." He grinned. Kimberly rolled her eyes, but yet again the boy got her to smile. She certainly did miss the happiness the boy radiated.

The rest of the car ride was pretty uneventful, the two of them chatting and catching up. And there was a lot of that to do as they hadn't seen each other in seven years.

Soon the car stopped in front of an apartment building and Charlie got out. Kimberly was about to open the door, but Charlie got there first. "Awh, what a gentleman." Kim grinned. Charlie grinned back, giving her butterflies in her stomach. Butterflies? she thought. Nope, not happening. He's my friend and that's it. Kim shook the weird feeling off and followed Charlie into the building. Put the emotions in a chest and lock it.

Oh, what a mistake...

A/N: sorry, this chapter was worse and shorter than the first one
I also just saw Argylle... literally such a great movie. So many plot twists, so much better than I expectedd...
