SIX.

1962, July 19th, 11:30 AM

Jungkook had a plan.

He was on his way to Taehyung's place to see if he could run into Yoongi there, or find out where Yoongi lives. He wanted to get to the bottom of this.

When he talked to Namjoon yesterday, he seemed off. A lot angrier over losing a friend than he should be. Jungkook could see so much pain in his eyes, so much remorse.

He also remembered Namjoon slipping up on his words a bit, referring to himself rather than the surfers. It was a lot more personal.

Jungkook arrived at Taehyung's shop, rolling his bike into the garage, seeing Taehyung working on the engine of a car.

His hair was tied back in a small ponytail, strands of it loose and in his face, he kept brushing them back as he worked.

He was shirtless, too. Sweat and smudges of dirt and oil covered his chest, his muscles tensing and flexing as he worked.

Jungkook almost felt himself drool, but he quickly closed his mouth and dismissed the thought.

He walked over, grabbing Taehyung's attention. The older looked up, seeing the surfer standing there with his bike.

"Jungkook? What are you doing here?" He asked, standing up straight and wiping his hands off on a towel thrown over his shoulder.

"Um, I was just wondering if you could tell me how to find Yoongi?" He asked.

"Yoongi? Whatcha need him for?" He asked, closing the hood of the car he was working on and tossing some tools aside in his toolbox, wiping the sweat off his forehead.

He approached Jungkook, standing a few feet away.

"I want to talk to him about him and Namjoon..."

Taehyung laughed, but it was more of a scoff. "Jungkook, that's not your business to be meddling into. That's their business." He said.

Jungkook blushed, biting his lip and looking at the floor. "I know... It's just that... I was talking to Namjoon and he seemed so hurt, and I just want to try and figure out what happened because it could be a misunderstanding." He muttered.

Taehyung sighed, turning around and grabbing a notepad and pen, scribbling something onto it before ripping it out and handing it to Jungkook.

"That's Yoongi's address. I'm not saying he will tell you, but if he does, it's up to him. Don't pressure him into it. It's a sensitive topic." Taehyung said.

Jungkook nodded, smiling and running forward, hugging him tightly.

Taehyung let out a 'hmph' from the sudden force, eyes wide but nevertheless hugged him back.

"Thanks Tae. I owe you one!" He said, letting go and hopping onto his bike, about to ride off.

"Wait, Kook." Taehyung called out, clearing his throat, the tips of his ears a bit red.

Jungkook looked back at him, an adorable smile on his face. "Hm?"

"Wanna um... wanna hang out later?" Taehyung asked, leaning against the counter.

"Sure! I'll stop by tonight." He said, waving and pedalling off.

Taehyung couldn't control the big smile that made it's way onto his face, watching Jungkook leave.

Knock knock knock.

Jungkook stood outside Yoongi's house. It was on the beach, very nautical outside. He even saw some familiar surfboards leaning against the side of the house, reminding Jungkook of how Yoongi would always use those specific boards and nothing else.

He wondered if Yoongi still surfed, or if he gave it up once he joined the bikers.

The door opened a few seconds later, a little boy at the door.

Jungkook smiled, waving. "Hi! I'm looking for Yoongi, is he here?" He asked.

The boy blinked, before an older woman approached the door.

"Hello, can I help you?" She asked.

"Hi, I'm an old friend of Yoongi's. Is he here?" Jungkook asked.

"Oh yes, he's in the back with his sister. Follow me!" She said, leading Jungkook through the house to the backdoor, sliding it open.

Yoongi and a little girl were down by the shore, there was a board propped up on two beams and the little girl was standing on top, Yoongi watching from the side and giving her instructions.

He's teaching her how to surf.

"Yoongi!! You have a visitor!"

He looked over, seeing Jungkook standing there. He said something to his sister before making his way over.

"Jungkook?? What is it?" He asked.

"I-I'd like to talk." He said shyly.

"Is this about Taehyung?" Yoongi asked.

"What? No." Jungkook mumbled, blushing.

Yoongi led him to a swinging bench that was against the house, still looking out onto the ocean. Yoongi's sister was still practicing her balance on the board, her long black hair blowing in the wind.

"What is it you need to talk to me about?" Yoongi asked.

"Well um.... I was wondering what happened between you and Namjoon... I was talking to him the other day, and he seemed to be pretty upset about what happened between you two. I wanted to hear it from your perspective." He murmured.

Yoongi nodded slowly, sighing. "It's a long story, Jungkook. I can try to explain it the best I can, though." He said.

Jungkook nodded, looking over at him.

"Namjoon and I were really close. We would always be together, talk about nothing and everything, surf together and all that. We were practically inseparable. One night when we were hanging out, Namjoon confessed something that he had been hiding for years. It's not my secret to tell but... when he told me, I freaked out a bit. I was confused and conflicted. I didn't want to let that secret get in the way of our friendship though, so we continued being friends despite what he told me. Then one night, I ran into Taehyung downtown. We talked a bit and I came to find out he wasn't that bad of a guy. Him and I became good friends soon as well, and Namjoon didn't like that. He got angry with me, and we had a big fight. He said things to me that were so rude and heartless, so I left. I told him to get ahold of himself and began spending most of my time with Taehyung. One time Namjoon caught us kissing. There were no feelings involved, it was just a random kiss for comfort. Yet Namjoon was furious. So he kicked me out of the surfers." Yoongi explained, looking down at the floor.

Jungkook frowned, biting his lip. "I'm sorry he did that to you." He whispered sadly, looking up at Yoongi. "Namjoon made it seem that you purposely left him, and ignored him.." He added.

"Oh I know. It's his way of coping with it. His mind is clouded by anger. I didn't leave him for the bikers, I simply became friends with one, and he got jealous because I wasn't spending every single second with him. He over-exaggerated everything." Yoongi sighed.

Jungkook slowly nodded. "Thanks for telling me... do you think he will do the same thing to me??" He asked worriedly.

"No. He doesn't even know that you've become friends with Taehyung, right?" Yoongi asked.

"Right... but what if he finds out?" Jungkook questioned.

"Well if he gets mad and kicks you out, that's his loss. You're a great guy, Jungkook. And an amazing surfer. He'd be losing someone really special." Yoongi said.

Jungkook smiled brightly, blushing a bit and thanking him.

"Um, one more question." Jungkook muttered.

"Sure, shoot."

"Why did you think I came here to talk to you about Taehyung?" Jungkook asked.

Yoongi smirked. "Oh, no reason."

It was now nighttime, Jungkook biking his way over to Taehyung's again.

When he arrived, he knocked on his door and waited patiently.

Taehyung opened it, smiling when he saw Jungkook. "Hey." He said.

Jungkook blushed, seeing that the male only had a towel wrapped around his waist. Water dripped down his chest, his damp hair resting messily on his head. "H-Hi."

"Come in, I gotta get dressed." Tae said, opening the door wider.

Jungkook nodded, walking in and hesitantly sitting down on the couch. He rested his hands in his lap as Taehyung disappeared into his room, coming out a few minutes later in some beige shorts and a dark green button up tucked into them. The first few buttons were unbuttoned, exposing his collarbone.

Jungkook swallowed thickly at the sight, looking away shyly.

"How'd the talk with Yoongi go?" Taehyung asked, sitting down beside him with a sigh, running a hand through his damp hair.

"Good, he told me his side of the story... I feel bad for him." Jungkook frowned.

"Yeah... It's all okay now though. It was for the best, sometimes relationships aren't meant to be... not all of them last. It's important to learn from past relationships instead of be sad or never let them go. You make good memories with people and those people shape you into the person you are today. Instead of missing them or feeling guilty or bitter... we should be thanking them." Taehyung said softly.

Jungkook giggled, looking over at him. "Wow, you didn't have to go all philosopher on me." He said.

Taehyung laughed softly, rolling his eyes. "Whatever. Anyways, I have a plan for tonight. And your outfit does not go with the plan." He explained.

"What do you mean?? Is my outfit that bad?" Jungkook asked, pouting.

"No, of course not. You're just a bit underdressed." Taehyung smirked, grabbing his hand and tugging him into his bedroom.

Jungkook huffed, letting Taehyung drag him around. The older pushed him to sit down on the bed, going over to his closet and searching through it.

"What exactly are we doing that we need to be dressed up for?" Jungkook asked curiously.

"You'll see." Taehyung muttered, pulling out a few pieces of clothing and setting them on the small chair next to his closet.

Jungkook bit his lip, waiting patiently and watching Taehyung.

"Ah, here. Try this on." He said, holding out some jeans, a black tee and a black leather jacket.

Jungkook reluctantly took the outfit, going into his bathroom and changing into the clothes. He had never worn jeans before, they were tight around his thighs and his butt. The leather jacket was bulky but sat nicely on his toned torso. He looked at himself in the mirror, surprised by how muscular his thighs looked from the constricting fabric.

He walked out to show Taehyung. "Uh... how does it look?" He asked.

Taehyung's eyes trailed over his body, analysing him and taking him in.

"You look hot." He said nonchalantly.

Jungkook's eyes widened and he blushed, sputtering. "W-What??! Don't- don't say those things!! You sound silly." He said, flustered.

Taehyung chuckled, looking him up and down again before his eyes landed right on his crotch.

Jungkook gulped, blinking as he watched the male walk closer.

Taehyung reached for his groin area, causing Jungkook to panic. "W-What are you doing?!" He shrieked.

"Relax! Your damn fly is down." Taehyung said, grabbing ahold of the zipper and zipping it up for him.

Jungkook stared at him incredulously, gulping from the slight touch near his crotch. It shouldn't have affected him as much as it did.

"Y-You could've just let me know and I would've fixed it myself." He muttered.

Taehyung smirked, looking up at him. "But what's the fun in that, darling?" He asked in a low, sultry voice, tapping the underside of his chin with the tips of his fingers.

Jungkook's cheeks were bright red as he watched Taehyung walk out of the bedroom.

"Come on! We've got to get going." Taehyung shouted from the living room.

Jungkook took a few deep breaths to calm himself down, quickly snapping out of his trance and following after the biker.

What in the world just happened?
