FIVE.

"Okay, bunny. Talk."
Jungkook cleared his throat, biting his lip. "I um.... I wanted to say that I was sorry. And that you were right. I'm a hypocrite, and I'm insensitive and stupid and that I had no right to judge queers. And I'm sorry. It was how I was brought up, I was raised to think queer people were bad people." He frowned, looking down at his feet.
"I know, bunny. I understand. I'm just... I thought your opinion would've changed. Just know that no matter what, never judge anybody." He said quietly, running a hand through his hair.
Jungkook nodded sheepishly, staring at Taehyung for a moment before looking away. "I promise I'll be better at that, I won't be mean or assume anything again." Jungkook said.
"Don't worry about it, bunny. You don't have to promise anything to me. I'm not controlling what you say and do, I'm just a guy you happened to meet." Taehyung said.
Jungkook smiled softly, before clearing his throat. "B-But um... I think you have some apologising to do as well. Y-You told me that I shouldn't throw my words around, never knowing who I could offend, yet you told your friends that you assumed I wasn't into women. That offended me as well... you invalidated my sexuality and spread misinformation without my consent..." He whispered sheepishly.
Taehyung stared at him sadly, nodding. "You're right. I'm very sorry. I shouldn't have done that. I won't do it again. Your opinion is valid, Kook. I didn't mean to disrespect you. In fact, I admire you in many ways." He said softly.
The surfer blushed, staring at the floor. "Thank you... I accept your apology."
"And I accept yours." Taehyung hummed, smiling.
Jungkook nodded, rubbing his hands on his thighs awkwardly. "S-So um... you and Yoongi? When did that happen?" He asked curiously.
"Oh, uh we're not really a solid thing or anything." Taehyung muttered.
"Really? That kiss seemed pretty intimate." Jungkook said, a soft smile on his face.
Taehyung laughed, shaking his head. "It's... complicated. Yoongi and I are close, friendship-wise. But sometimes we need to comfort each other or... release stress in a more intimate way I guess." He explained.
Jungkook slowly nodded, not really understanding but deciding not to question it any further.
There was a long pause of awkward silence, before Taehyung cleared his throat and stood up, walking over to his fridge and opening it up. "Want something to drink? I've got soda, beer, milk, OJ, water..." He mumbled.
"I'll take a water." Jungkook said.
Taehyung grabbed a water bottle and then a beer, sitting back down across from Jungkook and handing him his drink.
The surfer watched as Taehyung used an empty beer bottle on the coffee table to pop the tab on his new one, taking a long swig of the wheaty drink.
Jungkook sipped his water, looking around the space. "It's nice in here." He hummed, admiring the decor and furniture.
"Eh, It's not much." Taehyung shrugged, sipping on his beer some more.
"I like it! It's very laid back." Jungkook smiled.
Taehyung looked at him, laughing softly. "Well, thanks then." He said.
Taehyung looked at him for a moment, before quickly standing up and throwing on his leather jacket, fixing his hair in the mirror. "Get up, we're going somewhere." The biker announced.
"Where?" Jungkook asked, standing up and following Taehyung out of the house.
"You'll see. Grab that blanket." He said, pointing to a big blue blanket hanging on the arm of the couch.
He grabbed it, holding it under his arm as Taehyung led him down to his personal garage, separated from the shop.
His keys jingled in his hands as he opened it up to reveal a shiny black Camaro, two thick white stripes on the hood.
"Woah." Jungkook gawked at the car. It looked awesome.
Taehyung smirked, going over to the driver side and unlocking the door, getting in. Jungkook quickly followed suit and got into the passenger side, buckling up as he admired the interior.
His fingers ran over the details, sighing. "Wow, this is such a nice car." He said.
"I know it is. This is my other baby aside from my motorcycle." Taehyung explained, starting up the car and revving the engine, causing Jungkook to gasp and giggle at how cool it was.
Taehyung smiled as well, pulling out of the garage and driving down the road.
Jungkook rolled down his window, putting his arm out the window and feeling the breeze blow through his fingers and even ruffle his hair a bit. He smiled as he saw the sun slowly setting over the horizon, illuminating the town and the water with a soothing orange.
Taehyung drove downtown, into central park, where there were lots of cars parked on the grass and a giant projector.
"The drive in?" Jungkook asked, smiling.
"Yep. They're playing West Side Story."
"Oh, cool!" Jungkook exclaimed.
Taehyung parked the car in an empty spot, turning it off. "I'll go get popcorn, stay right here." He said, getting out of the car.
Jungkook watched as he walked away, seeing how his toned body and broad shoulders slightly strained against his leather jacket.
He also may or may not have looked down and watched his ass move in those tight jeans.
The surfer blushed immediately when he realised what he was doing, quickly looking away and forward at the screen.
Why are you looking at him like that?!! He's a guy for goodness sake!
Taehyung came back about seven minutes later with a large popcorn and two large cokes. He handed one to Jungkook and then got into the car again, setting the popcorn between them.
"Thanks, I can pay you back." Jungkook said, sipping on the drink and retrieving his wallet.
"No no no, don't worry. It's fine." Taehyung said, putting his hand over Jungkook's.
The surfer's breath hitched, hot sparks traveling up his arm as he looked up at the biker.
Taehyung pulled his hand away, clearing his throat and looking forward.
It was a bit awkward after that, the both of them quietly sipping on their drinks as they waited for the movie to start.
Jungkook started to get cold, wrapping his arms around himself. The movie had begun to play, Taehyung glancing at Jungkook and seeing him shiver.
He quickly retrieved the blanket, unfolding it and laying it down over Jungkook.
The boy blushed, quietly thanking him and cuddling into the soft fabric.
Jungkook's eyes lingered on the screen, smiling softly. He liked the atmosphere of the drive in, everyone sitting in their cars and eating popcorn as they enjoyed a movie together.
He could faintly see some couples cuddling in their cars too, it made him sad. He wished he had a significant other to cuddle. Maybe he shouldn't have rejected Lisa. Well, he didn't necessarily reject her but... he made it seem like he wasn't interested. She was pretty, but very straight forward and assertive. He doubted that she'd be the cuddling type.
Jungkook suddenly recognised somebody over by concessions, a smile on his face. "I'll be right back." He said to Tae, getting out of the car and skipping over to find Seokjin.
"Hey Jin!" He said, smiling as he approached him.
"Oh, Jungkook! Hey!" He said.
"What are you doing here?" Jungkook asked.
"I'm here on a date. How about you?" Seokjin asked.
"Uh, I'm just here with a friend." The surfer replied.
"Oh fun! Have you talked to Namjoon yet?" Seokjin asked.
"No.... I will tomorrow. Tonight I just need to think." He murmured.
"Yeah I understand. Take your time." Seokjin said, rubbing his shoulder.
"Thanks. Who's your date?" Jungkook questioned curiously.
"His name is Hoseok. We've been going out for a couple of months." Seokjin explained.
"Oh, it's a guy?" Jungkook asked, biting his lip.
Why is everyone around me gay all of a sudden?
"Yeah, he's very sweet." Seokjin smiled.
"That's good, I'm happy for you." Jungkook said, clearing his throat and offering a kind smile.
"Thanks! No go get back to your friend, I don't want to keep them waiting."
"Okay, bye Jin!" Jungkook waved before trotting back to Taehyung's car, getting back inside.
"Sorry, I saw Seokjin and wanted to say hi." Jungkook said.
"It's alright. You didn't miss anything." Taehyung muttered.
Jungkook nodded and pulled the blanket back onto him, glancing at Taehyung.
The biker's hair was messily swept back, jawline sharp and defined and dark eyes staring at the movie ahead of them. The reflection of the movie danced around against Taehyung's irises, his long and thick eyelashes framing his eyes nicely.
Jungkook became flustered and quickly looked away, back at the screen.
Halfway through the film, Jungkook had fallen asleep with his head resting against the window, thick eyebrows furrowed lightly from the uncomfortable sleeping position.
When the movie ended, Taehyung glanced over and chuckled to himself. "Sleepy bunny." He mumbled, reaching over and gently tucking some of the boys hair behind his ear.
He started up the car and drove back to the shop, keeping the radio down low so it wouldn't wake Jungkook.
Once they arrived, he got out and went to Jungkook's side, carefully lifting him out of the seat and holding him bridal style. He went inside and slowly laid Jungkook down on his bed, pulling off his shoes and draping a blanket over his body.
He left the bedroom, getting ready for bed and deciding to lay out on the couch.
Taehyung began to fall asleep, his mind becoming filled with hazy dreams. Soon enough he was drifting away into the darkness, the strings of slumber tugging him under.
In the morning, Jungkook woke up confused as he looked around. He didn't recognise the room he was in, deciding to investigate. He stood up, rubbing his eyes and trudging out of the bedroom he was in.
He spotted Taehyung laying on the couch, cuddling a throw pillow with the blanket hanging off of him and the side of the couch, his long hair a mess and bare chest exposed.
Jungkook blushed, glancing around and finding his shoes, putting them on. He made sure he had everything before going to the door, glancing behind him and looking at Taehyung.
Should I leave a note? He thought, contemplating it in his mind.
Maybe I shouldn't, It's not like we're friends or anything. He won't care if I left or not, he's not gonna wonder where I am...
But I should say thank you...
Jungkook sighed, going back inside and finding a notepad and a pen, writing a quick note.
Thanks for letting me stay the night and sleep in your bed, that was very kind of you.

Once he left, he found his bike and rode back to his house, feeling the breeze on his face again. It made him smile, getting immense joy from the summer vibes.
He set his bike to lean against the house, going inside. He went into his bedroom and quickly took a shower, changing into a new outfit for the day and deciding to go down to the diner to see if he could find Namjoon.
As he arrived, Yugyeom and Jinyoung greeted him happily.
"Hey Kook! Are you alright? You disappeared after that wipeout." Yugyeom said.
"I'm okay now, thanks for asking." He smiled lightly.
"Sit down, have a soda!" Jinyoung said, leading him over to their usual table, plopping him down in a seat.
"I actually need to talk to Namjoon, is he here?" Jungkook asked.
Yugyeom nodded, pointing over to the jukebox. Namjoon stood there with a smile on his face, sunglasses resting on top of his head and shirt slightly unbuttoned as he talked to some friends.
Jungkook stood up and walked over, Namjoon's eyes landing on him.
"Hey... can we talk?"
Namjoon glanced at his friends before back at Jungkook, nodding.
The younger led him outside so they were away from all the noise.
"What's up?" Namjoon asked.
Jungkook sighed, biting his lip. "I just... I'm kind of upset. Instead of asking if I was okay the other day, you just called me stupid in front of everyone... humiliated me. It hurt my feelings." He said softly.
Namjoon looked down at him, sighing. "I didn't mean to make you feel like that, Jungkook. But you need to be more careful. You could've gotten yourself killed." He replied.
"I know, Namjoon. I've learned my lesson." He sighed.
"Good. I'm just trying to look out for you. You're one of the youngest amongst the surfers, and I don't want you getting hurt. I've known you for a long time, Jungkook, you're w close friend of mine. And although you're young, you're damn good at surfing. Almost better than me." He said.
Jungkook looked up at him, eyes wide. "You really think so??" He asked.
Namjoon nodded with a soft smile. "Yeah. It's been awhile since I've seen someone surf as good as you. The last time I saw someone surf like that.... was when he was here. He was the best surfer out of all of us." He muttered, looking off into the distance, reminiscing.
"By he you mean Yoongi, right?" Jungkook asked softly.
Namjoon's jaw tensed up, nodding stiffly.
"You know... I don't think he meant to betray you. I think it was all one big misunderstanding." Jungkook whispered.
Namjoon looked down at him, almost glaring. His eyes held so much anger and grief.
"It wasn't a misunderstanding. He left m-.... us. He left us for that biker, Taehyung." He said through gritted teeth.
Jungkook looked at him curiously. "Is that why you hate Taehyung so much?" He asked.
Namjoon nodded. "That bastard influenced him, and Yoongi ignored us. Was too caught up in the bikers, and soon enough he was turned to their side." He muttered.
Jungkook bit his lip, frowning. "Have you ever tried talking to him? Reconnecting?"
"What's your deal, Jungkook? Why do want to know so much about him?? He's an asshole. That's all there is to say." Namjoon growled, turning away and walking back inside the diner, leaving Jungkook with his thoughts.
He huffed, leaning against the wall and looking out at the ocean.
I feel like there's more to the story...
