THE PORTAL ENDED UP being to the Cage mansion. Diana couldn't help but falter — the three men in front of her looked back in confusion — "Is something wrong Diana?" Liu asked and Diana nodded, "Yeah... it's just, I know who lives here." She smiled awkwardly, putting her hands in her pockets as she did. "Well, that's good — Johnny Cage is another champion picked for Mortal Kombat." Liu explained. "He is?" Diana didn't doubt it, she's watched him fight in his movies — she's even been to his fighting training sessions before and he was always great every single time. "What is your relationship to this Johnny Cage?" Bi-Han questioned and Diana shrugged, "I'm his PA... his personal assistant." Kuai looked over and quirked his brow, "So you are a servant to this man — is he like a god in your realm?" Diana shook her head, "No, definitely not."

Liu rang the doorbell. "Maybe he's asleep..?" Diana suggested after a few seconds but no one replied. The sound of muffled voices came from the other side before Johnny opened the door, "What in the actual fu—" Liu interrupted him, "Good evening Johnny Cage. I am Liu Kang, protector of Earthrealm. May we enter?" Johnny looked past Liu — trying to see cameras — he saw Diana instead. "Uh, nothing's being shot here tonight, you sure you in the right place?" His eyes stayed on Diana, trying to figure out why she was with these strange men. "Yes. We come on a matter of grave importance. We must speak to you and your guest." Liu explained and Diana couldn't help but step forward, Liu let her, "Can we just come in Johnny, I swear it's nothing crazy." She whispered to him. Johnny sighed, "Diana." He motioned for her to come closer, "What in the actual hell are you doing here with these guys? And how do they know about... my guest?"

"I don't know but trust me when I say that you should just let them in." Diana placed a hand on her hip, "And actually, who is your guest? I know your wife wouldn't be too happy with you having someone over." Johnny rolled his eyes, "I don't even think she's my wife anymore, the life of Johnny Cage was getting too much for her — guess you can go back to—" Liu cleared his throat causing Johnny and Diana to look over, the three men were still waiting to be invited inside. Johnny sighed, "Wait, I knew Cris was setting all this up, just like how she was lying about all that stuff she said." Diana quirked her brow. He smiled, "Sure, come right in." The three men stepped inside and Johnny closed the door behind them. "Glowing eyes are a nice touch." Johnny said to Liu, who ignored his words.

"Pstt." Diana looked over and saw that Johnnys guest was a man, tied up in a chair, "I knew Johnny was into some kinky stuff but not stuff like this." She mumbled before going over to the man, "Can I have some help here?" He asked her and Diana nodded. "What's your name?" Diana questioned but before he could answer — Johnny came over and pulled her away, "His name isn't important." Liu stepped forward, "Actually, it is. His name is Kenshi Takahashi. A tragic figure with a noble cause." Liu looked at Kenshi and crossed his arms, "Your actions this evening do you no credit." Diana and Johnny watched the interaction — Johnnys hand still wrapped around Diana's arm tightly, making sure she stayed close to him. "Who are these people?" Kenshi asked Johnny and the actor shrugged. "You tell me, they're your scene partners." Diana rolled her eyes.

Liu looked over at Johnny, "I also know of your struggles, Johnny Cage. I am here to offer you both a path forward." Liu smiled, "Diana has already accepted that path." Johnny whispered to Diana, seeming to think he actually figured out what was happening. "I should've known you would set something up like this. Don't get me wrong but you could've just called me, Di — I missed you too, but making these guys come here? Now that's weird." Diana could have denied she missed Johnny but he was testing his luck with what he was telling her, "Oh, you wish I was obsessed with you. I would've never planned something like this to see you." She pulled away and walked over to stand with Bi-Han and Kuai. Johnny chuckled. "Dun-dun-dun." He still didn't believe any of their words. "Come on guys. Diana, you're a doll for setting this up but, as pranks go, this one's a bit obvious."

"This is no prank." Liu reassured. "Bi-han, Kuai Liang — if you please." He motioned to the still tied up Kenshi. The two ninjas walked over and began untying him, "Alright, alright." Johnny laughed again before winking at Diana. "I'll play my part in this uh martial arts role larp." Liu looked at Diana, "Is he always like this?" He asked her in a quiet voice and Diana nodded, "Yeah, for the most part." Johnny cleared his throat before pointing at the ninjas, "Hey!" He cleared his throat again. "Hey you!" It was clear Bi-Han was getting annoyed — Kuai was doing a better job of hiding his annoyance. "Get away from him." Johnny grabbed Bi-Han by the arm and the ninja instantly pushed him away before kicking him into a desk holding Johnnys Hichuli statue which slowly moves around before falling onto Johnnys head — breaking on impact.
