Charlie Watson and Jason Watson are grieving the recent death of their father.

While the rest of their family appears to be moving on the best they can, both brother and sister cannot fill the hole that his passing has left in their life.

Adaline Parker along with Max Hart just moved into the sunny town of Brighton Falls. Both teens meet the Watson kids and their neighbour Sunniva Kline as they crosses paths with a giant alien/robot who has crash landed on Earth disguised as a Volkswagen Beetle.

Hiding a robot alien from everyone else was going to be difficult so the Watsons siblings and their friends decides to hide bumblebee in their old summer cabin for the summer.
