Vanta watched from his pod as Miko walked offstage, her flowy hair like a cascading waterfall behind her, and even then, it made him fall for her even more.

But this was now his time to shine, his turn to overflow the stage with his unwavering presence, and a voice full of passion. A passion he'd only let Miko understand, a passion he'd only share with her. If anyone dared to outmatch his passion, he'd make sure there were threats on their way.

He'd imagine the spotlight shining down onto him, illuminating his vantablack hair as he strode onto the stage, multiple screens following him as they captured his looks, only that it would all be seen by Miko, to show his mesmerizing beauty and make her fall for him - as if he hadn't fell deeper for her before his own spectacular performance.

His opponent, a mere girl. But - he wouldn't lie, if she had the same passion as Miko for singing, and the same passion as Vanta for Miko, he would have fallen for her instead, but she was terribly cocky, her ocean blue eyes squinting as they both met on stage.

It was a dazzle to behold, two amazing gemstones about to compete, but only one would be crushed by another, and it was going to be him, it was always him. No Matter What.

The stage lights blinked open, revealing the two figures as they stared each other down like prey and predator. She was just another obstacle to win the love of Miko, another pedastool to step on as he ventured into Miko's heart, pulling the gates open to receive all her love an attention, and so far - was it working?

Miko watched from her pod, of course, her eyes rolling with satire as she stared at the two, obviously not enjoying the show she was about to witness.

Oh! Maybe she's rolling her eyes becauase she's jealous of my stage presence? Soon my dear, we can share a stage together!... Or maybe not. But one day... one day he'd capture her heart, and she'd be all his. Singing togather everyday, until their voice runs out. That's what he imagined before the girl started to sing.

"Neon lights, I see your eyes~

달콤한 속삭임, 날 속여봐.."

God, Yuei sounded so... annoying. If it was Miko, he'd let her sing the whole song.

"I pull you in, make you believe-

"미소 짓는 나, 넌 따라와!"

His turn now, finally.

"You want me more, don't you know? ...

내게 빠져들어~"

A sadistic melody, a passionate yet playful tone of voice. He was going to lie, he wouldn't ever want to toy with his opponents, would he?

"The game we play, I'm in control!

다 믿어줘, 내게 다 줘!"

The heart of the song, the chorus. It wasn't always his favourite, sharing his lines and potentially loosing your voice to the rise of your opponents. So instead of 'sharing is caring' back at the Anakt Garden, maybe he could- steal the spotlight for a bit?

"Lovely lies, 아름다운 거짓말!

I'll make you fall, without a care!"

"Charming smiles, 우리만의 세상!

"You're mine tonight, don't you dare look away~!"

It felt so good, taking all her special lines and making them his, those words were meant for her, and only his precious Miko. Oh~ didn't she steal her opponent's lines during her match? We're thinkin the same~!

"Whisper close, feel my touch...

너와 나, 끝까지 가볼까!" -Sorry~

"Under the stars, we're just pretend...

사랑이란 건, 이젠 다 가짜!"

He chuckled, watching as Yuei glared at him once more, a playful smirk plastered on his face. He would lie again, he wouldn't dare do that again, oh but if she did it in return... he'd hope there wasn't any consequences. Another lie yet again!

"You want me more, don't you know?...

내게 빠져들어~"

"The game we play, I'm in c-on-trol!

다 믿어줘, 내게 다 줘!"

Goddamnit, stealing my lines? Isn't is me and Miko's thing? God, since the start of the competition, everyone's been stealing other's lines! But afterall~ this was just a fit of survival- but must I remind you girl? Only I'm making out alive in this round.

"Lovely lies, 아름다운 거짓말!

I'll make you fall, without a care!"

"Charming smiles, 우리만의 세상!

You're mine tonight, don't you dare look away~!"

There was a pause for an instrumental, as Vanta and Yuei let the instruments play behind them, circling one another. It was a dance of death, one Vanta certainly enjoyed. Even if he did loose the round, it wouldn't be a shame to had sang this song for Miko, his beloved Miko.

He took Yuei's hand in his, spinning her around and catching her, before he grinned widely and released her, dropping her onto the stage. Woops! I slipped~!

Before she could get up, the instrumental had ended, earning Vanta even more lines to passionately sing to Miko.

"Come a little closer...

조금만 더 가까이~"

"I'll make you want me more!"

"끝없이 널 끌어당겨!"

"Lovely lies, 아름다운 거짓말!

I'll make you fall, without a care!"

"Charming smiles, 우리만의 세상!

With a soft smile, he turned to look back at Miko in her pod, his smile growing as he stared right at her citrine coloured eyes, the blonde locks of her hair as she outstared Vanta, her eyes as wide as sauces as her pupils dilated.

He got a closer to score to her... how? Wasn't she the queen of this competition? Would it mean he'd be second to her, a king?

Oh my, is she surprised I survived? Trying to hide her feelings? is she secretly happy?

He ignored the shots penetrating Yuei's skin, as he extended his open palm to her.

"Oh dear Miko! I won for you, look! See! I'm incredibly worthy! Did you hear me sing? Did you? Did you hear the words I sang to you, that you wouldn't look away? Oh dear Miko, let me be your prince charming!"

His eyes swelled in tears, his emotions gushing out in a single moment as he spoke to his beauty, making sure she listened to every single word, ever single ounce of emotion she'd see on his face, just to see how desperate he was for her.

Yuei on the other hand lay still on the stage, her hand holding Vanta's leg from her previous struggle to stay alive. Once he eventually looked back down at her corpse, he only glared as pushed away her hand from his ankle, clearly disgusted on how someone other than Miko could touch him.

How dare she.

Hehe... said this would release pretty soon, but it ended up coming out the next year- APOLOGIES!! Normally, i would write a lot since it's my holidays, and I would have a break once my school starts, BUT NO- I was writing this even during school hours, and a barely wrote during my fucking break... ah anyways, the next Round is Round 9!! Yep, large number gap- but in my story, there are a lot of opponents, a few which definitely include Luka and Hyuna ofc!! But I sadly won't write a chapter for them... maybe like a few paragraphs, but otherwise, that's it!! Sorry :(

To end this, I'm not gonna say 'The next Round is coming soon, so stay tuned!' no way. I'm probs gonna update this a month later and I'm sorry again 😭
