"I can't believe you're actually makin' me do this," Soul scoffed as she used her powers to lift the damaged car from the river. Shuri raised a brow and crossed her arms over her chest, "Well I'm not the one who tossed the vehicle in the river, am I?"
Soul didn't answer but held a small pout on her face. Soul used the water to set the vehicle on the bridge and looked at Shuri. "There, are we done?"
"I said every piece, so...get to swimming Ariel," Shuri said with a smile. Soul groaned and pulled off her sweater, throwing it at Shuri. "Who's Ariel?" Soul mumbled in confusion as she jumped onto the railing.
"Did you just-" Before Shuri could finish her question Soul had already jumped into the water.
An hour later, they had finally managed to collect all the pieces and were headed back to Wakanda. Soul grinned as she slapped down a +4 uno card and Shuri let out an annoyed groan. "Where are you getting these?? You must be cheating!" Shuri exclaimed, taking four cards from the stack.
"I'm not cheating! You just suck!" Soul shot back.
"Aye watch what you say! I have claws!" Shuri argued. Soul scoffed and stood up, "And I can drown your ass with a blink of my eye!" Soul said, shoving Shuri harshly. Shuri scoffed and shoved Soul back, "You're such a bitch!" Shuri cursed in Xhosa.
"Oh you wanna speak in another language?! We can speak in another language! This is the third game and you get pissy each time I beat you! You just can't accept that I'm better than you!" Soul argued back in Xhosa. Shuri let out a scoff, a bit taken back by how perfect Soulina's Xhosa was.
"Don't say I get pissy! I do not get pissy! If you weren't such a cheating bitch then I would've beaten you!" Shuri shot back, and Soul glared at her. "This is why you're single. Stupid cat!" Shuri's eyes widened and she gaped in offense. "Did you just call me a cat?!"
As Soul went to respond with a cocky smirk, a shout both made them jump. "ENOUGH!" Ayo slammed her spear against the floor and they immediately shut up at her command. "Both of you are acting like children, and I am tired. If you cannot play the American game without arguing, then don't play it. Sit down, apologize, and be quiet." Ayo stated. Aneka smirked slightly and Shuri rolled her eyes.
Soul and Shuri huffed, sitting down in their chairs with arms crossed and their backs slouched like a scolded child who was on time out. "Apologize you two," Aneka said before Ayo could scold them some more.
"She started it," Soul muttered.
Shuri scoffed, "Bitch," she mumbled under her breath but Soul still heard it.ย
"Le xรญiw k'a'ana'an yantalto'on afectado a ta ts'o'omej, estรบpido chan miis'." Soul spoke in Mayan with an eye roll.
Shuri furrowed her brows, unsure what the mermaid had just said. "Excuse me? What does that even mean?" Shuri questioned. Aneka and Ayo shared an eye roll, already prepared to put in ear plugs.
"I said, the herb must've effected your brain you stupid kitty." Soul said, a small smile on her face when she seen Shuri's offended look. "I am not a stupid kitty. If I'm a stupid kitty then you're a stupid fish!" Shuri argued.
"For the last time, I am not a fish!" Soul exclaimed angrily, throwing the table.
"You have a tail and you can breathe in water, you are a fish!" Shuri pointed out. Soul glared at the Panther, "I hate you!" She yelled in Mayan.
"Too bad!" Shuri snapped back in Xhosa.
Aneka rolled her eyes, fed up with their arguing despite how much she was enjoying Soulina's creative insults. "Are you done?" Aneka deadpanned.
"I'm sorry for callin' you a stupid kitty," Soul mumbled quietly about thirty minutes later after the argument. "I'm sorry for calling you a stupid fish." Shuri replied.
"I'm still better at uno though," Soul breathed out and laughed seeing Shuri's face. "Come here!" Shuri ran over and put Soul into a headlock. "Take it back!" Shuri said, pinning Soul down as Aneka watched with raised brows.
"Okay, okay I take it back! I take it back! You're the best at uno, I swear!" Soul laughed. Shuri lifted her arms in defeat and Soul used her free leg to trip Shuri so she landed on the floor next to her. "Estรบpido chan miis'." Soul chuckled and Shuri rolled her eyes.
"Griot, translate." Shuri ordered and Soulina's eyes widened, forgetting about the AI.
"Translation: stupid kitty." Griot translated.
"You little snitch."

Soul hummed a tune quietly under her breath as she sat on the lab table where Riri was working. They hadn't really talked much about their argument or if you'd even call it that. Riri tried to but Soul managed to change the topic each time. They didn't know where they stood and it kinda bothered Riri. Soul was putting on this tough act like she didn't care and irked Riri but Shuri understood why Soul was acting as she did.
Shuri smiled as she walked into the lab, "Yo," she greeted Riri.
Riri turned around and grinned, they shared a little friendly handshake. "All set to head home?" Shuri asked, taking a glance at Soul who was trying to figure out how to use a phone.
"As long as you're sure the police won't be waitin' for me at the airport," Riri said.
"Don't worry, I took care of that. But you might wanna slow down on your homework for higher reasons." Shuri joked. Riri chuckled softly and nodded, "It can slip and I can't help you with that." Riri nodded understandingly.
"You said you wanted to talk to me about something?"
"Yes. Your suit. It's a great design but, I can't let you leave with it." Shuri said apologetically.
"It's all good. Figured the least I could do was help Wakanda clean up my mess." Riri replied understandingly.
Shuri smiled softly, "Soulina and I, actually have something we wanna show you." Soul perked up at her name being said and shook her head with wide eyes. "Soul put the phone down. Come."
Soul shook her head in protest but Shuri took Soulina's wrist and she set the phone down on the table before standing up and following Shuri as Riri followed behind them. Riri's eyes glanced down at Shuri's hand on Soul's lower back and raised her brows.
Soul gestured Riri to pull the car cover off and she did. Riri let out a small gasp of shock and happiness. "It took us a while to find all the parts from the river. But, it was worth it." Shuri stated.
Soul scrunched her brows and looked up at Shuri, "Us? I literally did all the work while you watc-" Shuri slapped her hand over Soul's mouth, stopping her with a chuckle. "Ignore her, she swallowed too much salt water." Shuri smiled and Riri chuckled.
"It's my dad's car. We used to work on it before..." Riri trailed off and both Shuri and Soul nodded, understanding what Riri was saying so she didn't have to continue.
"You sure this is it?" Riri asked, opening the drivers side of the car.
"Every part. I'll have it shipped to Boston, it'll be there before you arrive." Shuri explained. Riri popped open the hood and smiled to herself. She closed the hood before turning to Shuri and Soul.
"Bring it in man," Riri said. Shuri chuckled and embraced the girl. Soulina backed away, not being a very touchy person. Plus, she thought it was awkward after how their conversation left off.
"You too, c'mere," Riri smiled. Soulina shook her head and backed up, holding her hands out, "No thanks, not a hugger." Soul denied.
Riri and Shuri both scoffed before Shuri grabbed Soul's forearm and pulled her over. "Hug your girl or I'll bleach your locs," Shuri threatened, playfully of course. But she was very serious. Soul glared at her, "You wouldn't."
"I would," Shuri smirked.
Soul sighed and let Riri hug her tightly, it took Soul a second before she finally hugged Riri back. "She scares me," Soul mumbled and Riri chuckled.
"Panther, Miss William's transport has arrived." Griot informed.
Riri pulled away from Soulina and smiled gratefully at the princess's. "Look after yourself." Shuri said as two men entered the room, ready to escort Riri out.
"You sure y'all not tryna slide to Chicago? Catch a Bulls game?" Riri suggested, looking at Soul with hopeful eyes.ย
Soul smiled sadly, "Maybe another time. I have business I need to take care of." Soul said.
"I agree. Sounds fun, but I also have something I need to take care of." Shuri said.
Riri nodded understandingly and a bit disappointingly and turned to walk out but Soul spoke up. "Here, if you need me just blow into it and place it in the water." Soulina handed Riri the seashell and Riri smiled. "Thanks. I'll see you soon, right?" Riri asked.
Soulina nodded and watched as Riri was escorted out. Shuri hit Soul's shoulder once Riri was fully away. "Aye. I don't care how weirdly attractive you are, I will kill you if you hurt her." Shuri said as they walked over to the tables.
"So you admit I'm attractive?" Soul smirked.
Shuri scoffed, "You're so full of yourself."
"Am not!"
"Are too!"
"Am not!"
Shuri went for another reply until they both noticed Soulina's seashell necklace began to flash. "Why is it doing that?" Shuri raised a brow.
"Uhhh because it means my momma is trying to talk to me," Soul mumbled. Shuri went to ask more questions but stopped herself, she discovered something knew about Soulina everyday and it was tiring. "Nevermind. What is she saying?"
"Both of you stop arguing! You're acting like children! Act your age or you're gonna put in the t-shirt!"
Soul sighed and translated what Monsella said, to Shuri. "What's the t-shirt?" Shuri asked.
Soul shivered, "You don't wanna know."
