.𖥔 ݁ ˖─── 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐅𝐄𝐄𝐓 swiftly found her slippers, her eyes drenched in sleep but her mind told her to get out of bed. She took out her phone from under the pillow scrolling through the internet at 4:30 am in the morning, with her white streaked hair disheveled and in a ramfulled state.

Then a sudden thud, her ears perked at once at the noise, she stood still listening again for anymore movements. Silence. Arching her eyebrow at her bedroom door she willed her body to get off the bed so the hygienic cleaning may commence once again.

Then a creak, her ears twitched again, this time she stood right in front the door leading to her bathroom, her head cocked and glaring at her bedroom door. "Alright, lets go check it out.." she dug around in her room for a flashlight, when she found it she pressed the button to turn it on then stuffed her phone into her oversized hoodie pocket.

A yawn escaped her mouth as she approached the door, her hand turned the door knob then she peeked her head out slowly looking around. Her eyes glowed a bright brown and golden yellow, knowing who was there she spoke in a low whisper, "I heard a sound.."

"It's probably just a mouse!"

A voice answered, her voice responded back in her mind, but whoever it was it wasn't her. She took a few steps out then walked down the corridor to her sisters room, the unbearably cold hallway air biting her thighs.

Then she saw something move, her ears arched at once, her tail flicked to the side shining her light around her beating heart was at rest. There was no one "I saw them in the dark, though!" The anxiety now crawled up and down her skin, her eyes blinked, looking to her side she could vaguely see another person, who looked just like her, dressed the same way, but with yellow eyes and an eerie smile on their face.

"I only saw a spark!~"

She rolled her eyes and kept walking, her slippers plopped on the wooden floor making quite a noise, so far the only noise she could hear right now. With one of her hands stashed away in her pockets, her brows froward and frowned the mole above it went down with it too, with her eyes a bit more lidded than before, "I know there's someone there.."

"Not as far as I'm aware~"

"Why don't you believe me?" she huffed, turning the knob to the little girl's door revealing her snuggled state with her curly white and brown hair peeking through the covers. The older girl knew something was amiss, even though the entity seemed like it wasn't, she closed the door as she entered and locked it just for safety.

Her ears twitched and her tail swished behind her as she scurried around for a duffle bag that would be able to hold any of her sibling's belongings, clothes, jackets, undergarments, anything that would seem important she packed neatly but swiftly.

Then after her packing spree she placed the gray duffle bag onto the little one's bed, a sigh came out her mouth as she caressed the small head that belonged to her sister, eyes closed and breathing slowly but calmly. "Not a care in the world, huh, Chrystlen..."

Pulling off the warm covers she placed her arms under the little one's armpits and lifted her up, protected her head and made sure her arms were wrapped around her. She carried her out the room not before unlocking the door and peeking first, her ears were perked and attentive changing their arches just to get a proper listen.

Silence. She cocked her head to the side and with a frown she exited the room, her bedroom slippers resuming the loud plopping noise as she walked down the hallway. She entered her room, closed the door and locked it. No one was there? Strange.. She placed her sister on her bed gently, then fished out a jacket from the bag meaning to fix it on her small body.

Once she was covered properly and warm the older girl began packing her clothes just in case. Maybe she was hallucinating. Maybe there wasn't anyone in the house...? She couldn't tell, her ears slightly blocked from the deeper sounds as it rested down forward on her overly curly white streaked hair that covered her right eye a little, ominously glowing reminding her that the entity was still present.

"Maybe you're right.." She placed her bag on the bed and turned her head to face the vague version of herself who stood in front of her with its arms behind its back, the eire smile still on its face.

"It's just another night~"

Then a creak, her ears perked at once, her body tensed and heart stirring up inside her chest. The anxiety took over her body once more, making her voice go into a soft yet trembling whisper, "But I heard a creek..." she stared at the entity then rushed over to her sister who surprisingly didn't stir by the sudden events going on.

"Just go back to sleep.."

Then a sudden crash echoed through the still house.

"Now I hear it..Run."

Then her sister's body stirred, a frown presented on her face of dark brown and white, her almond shaped eyes fluttering open revealing those light brown orbs of hers quite lidded by her clinging drowsiness. Her older sister, now a bit frantic, hastily grabbed the duffle and her bag with their belongings and went over to her, who was now very confused by the loud unwelcoming noise.

"Chrystlen, we have to go okay?" her voice laced with concern as the noise began to increase its volume seeming to be coming closer to where they were staying. The little girl watched her older sister, now fearful of the studden events happening in the house, she clinged onto her oversized jacket her ears arched back clearly showing on her face how uneasy she is.

"It's okay Chrys, we'll be okay." she reassured her and did what any sane person would do in this universe, she held her sister properly and teleported onto the roof.

As the crisp air overtook their senses and the crazy state of the outside of their house came into view down below, her voice was hitched, her eyes whidded at the sight and her nose scrunched up due to the awfully powerful smell of rotting flesh.

What in the absolute heck was Undead people doing so close to the countryside!? Her hair was still overly untidy but she turned her gaze to any other exit other than the floor where the huge horde of Undead were swarming the area.

"There's someone coming.."

"From where exactly?" she asked, still looking around, her sister joining in as they kept their conversation in low whispers.

"Kea, there's a car over there.." her small delicate fingers pointed to what looked like an SUV three houses down from where she stood.

"Oh, perfect! Wait... were they always there?" she frowned from her previous smile now squinting at the car that was mysteriously parked a few houses down. She took the risk and teleported onto the third house, keeping a firm grip onto her sister and their bags when she safely landed.

Her eyes glared at the tinted black glass, the silver moon shone its light onto her slightly short frame giving the floor a shadow of what she supposedly looked like.

The window then suddenly wined down and a pair of dark blue eyes stared right back at her, his glasses were perched on his nose bridge and a small smile graced his pale skin. It was as if he was supposedly made out of the moon by his complexion.

The only thing the sisters could do was stare back at him in awe, they both noticed a choker around his neck with a white line clicking ever so often and a bandaged hand as he called out to them in a calm voice. "I mean no harm, you can come down. I have supplies and equipment back at my place and somewhere you can stay." He gave her a closed eyed smile secretly hoping that she would agree to his offer.

"Sorry.." she started now glaring at his porcelain face, "But how am I supposed to trust you?" He watched her from where she stood on the unknown person's rooftop, holding her sister in her arms protectively.

He chuckled at her statement, fully understanding her, "You're Keagan Akane, right?" her ears twitched at her name but didn't respond, no in hell's way she was gonna admit that to a total stranger, she pursed her lip looking down at him threateningly. "And the little one you're holding is Chrystlyn Akane I pursue?" he continued pushing his rectangle framed glasses back up his nose with his slender index finger. Again no response from her end.

"Look, I know where your parents are-" he was cut off by the supposed pre-teen, who was now filled with disbelief, "No you don't! Our parents are dead!" she loudly whispers to the young man, her sister feeling nervous at the obvious tension being emitted through the atmosphere.

"Keagan, listen, just enter the car, we won't pull off yet. I just need to speak with you okay?" He still gave her a smile, his mind going through any scenario to get these two in the car and safely to their parents, an imaginary sweat drop by his cheek he placed his hands together and bowed his head a little peeking at her with one of his blue eyes open.

"Please..?"
