❥︎ 𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐈𝐕𝐋𝐘𝐍 (𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐈/𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐋𝐘𝐍)

• Imai and the bad bitch he pulled by being autistic /j

• Definitely had a whole "enemies to lovers" arc in the beginning. Rival families, different beliefs, clashing attitudes─the one thing holding them both back from killing the other is that they have too much "class" to "stoop down to their level."

• While I can imagine Imai disliking Evelyn in the beginning initially because of who her family is, it can be safely said that Evelyn's biggest problem isn't Imai's family, it's the actual man himself 💀 Bro fr thought he could start shit with her younger cousin and then waltz into her family's café with that sorta attitude lmaoooo.

• Imai probably came into the Merlins' café just to shit talk their pastries to spite Nyx, but then he actually took a bite out of Evelyn's chocolate and was like, "Fuck."

• (Imagine going into a café to talk shit only to actually like their pastries and realize if you went through with your initial plan you'd be banned from having anymore 🤡 Point and laugh 😂🫵)

• So yeah, Imai (reluctantly) ditches his initial plan and ends up grumbling to himself all grumpily while also finishing Evelyn's bag of chocolates by himself in the farthest corner of the café. Evelyn pretty much ignores him the entire time but Lyner and Nyx are like "WTF WHY IS HE HERE?????????"

• Imai ends up coming by the café again, to everyone's (and admittedly his) surprise. This time, he's a little more polite than his first visit, but he's still gotta act all "high and mighty" to keep up his reputation (and to also show Evelyn just how much more "mature" he is than her) (Spoiler: it is not working). His order ends up being a to-go, and Evelyn only rolls her eyes whenever he turns around and walks out.

• To everyone's (and his) surprise once again, Imai starts frequenting the café quite a bit, but he tries to be down-low about it as to not attract any of his fans there. While he honestly wouldn't really care much if they did start going because of him at the start, there was just something about catching the stressed out look on Evelyn's face during rush hour that one time that made him decide that he wouldn't want her to have to deal with something even worse. Of course, such mercy from him is only out of pity, obviously. Don't think he's going soft or something 🙄

• (How on Earth did you notice how stressed Evelyn was during that one time, though??? 🤨🤨 Were you watching her or smth bestie?????)

• To be honest, when Imai first started becoming a semi-regular customer at her family's café, Evelyn was a bit suspicious of him. After all, someone like him wouldn't like to be seen in such a place, much less with Nyx hanging around there as well. Was he trying to gather information? Look for something to spin a story out of in hopes of ruining Nyx's college experience? It was hard to tell, given how whenever he'd come in he'd just order and then go to a corner and just ... sit there. Silently; thinking.

• It wasn't until Imai suddenly came into the café one night, just as Evelyn was beginning to close up, did the two actually start having conversations with eachother. The Hoshino boy had just walked in, head held down, and Evelyn had almost told him off for coming in despite the sign clearly reading 'Closed' until she saw how ... tired he looked. For some reason, that "large and in charge" aura of his was gone in that moment, and perhaps it was seeing the King of Yokosuka─so cold and malicious─in such a vulnerable state that made Evelyn gesture to one of the stools at the counter, a silent offer to sit, before preparing two cups of steaming cocoa, taking the seat next to him, and asking him to tell her about his day.

• After that, Imai arriving around Evelyn's closing shift to drink cocoa with her and talk became a common occurrence. Sometimes they'd vent, most of the times they would talk about simple things like ("What's your favorite color?" "What shapes in the clouds did you see today?" "Favorite season?"), and other times ... they wouldn't say anything at all and just ... enjoy being in the other's presence.

• When their feelings eventually turn from platonic to romantic, I imagine it would be Evelyn to recognize her change of heart towards Imai first, but she wouldn't immediately confess to him or anything: she knows that he's going through things at the moment, and wouldn't want to upset him further by proposing a romantic relationship. So, for a while, she keeps her feelings to herself and decides to continue supporting and comforting Imai as his friend.

• On the other hand, when Imai recognizes the change in feelings he has for Evelyn, I figure he probably wouldn't know what to do with himself, much less how to react to such a realization. He would most likely try pushing Evelyn away at the start, and when that doesn't work, the walls he had up before they became friends would come back up and he'd start acting like the Hoshino Imai everyone else but Evelyn knows: cold, cruel, selfish, you name it─anything that would get her to hate him all over again and leave before his feelings can get too out of control.

• Unfortunately for Imai, though, Evelyn isn't an idiot and knows exactly what he's trying to do the moment he starts pulling this shit. She tries to be patient, at first, knowing that this is merely Imai's messed-up, unhealthy way of "protecting" the people he cares for (and himself), but then he starts giving her the attitude he had before and she puts her foot down.

"Oh, you mean you actually thought I genuinely cared about you? I hate to break it to you, darling, but that was merely pity─"

"Hoshino Imai if you don't look me in the eyes and actually talk to me then I will give people a reason to pity you."

• To keep it short, Evelyn manages to coax Imai to sit down with her one night, and they talk things out (albeit a little more reluctantly on Imai's part). There was some yelling, words that shouldn't have been said, a couple of tears, but all in all it ended with Evelyn holding Imai in her arms and whispering something in his ear only for them to know and no one else.

• The next day:
Evelyn: Oh, by the way, I would like for you two to know that me and Imai are officially dating. We'd like to keep it private for now, though, so please refrain from telling anyone else.
Live Nyx & Lyner Reaction:

• Now onto ACTUAL RELATIONSHIPS HEADCANONS-

• The most bad bitch couple ever idc what anyone says.

• They're the type to pull up to a big, fancy party last and when they do everyone's eyes are immediately on them. The doors open and they walk in wearing a pair of dark shades to hide their eyes; Imai's got one hand on the lower half of Evelyn's back and Evelyn's wearing his coat over her shoulders cuz she isn't part of a mafia family for nothing.

• Imai refers to Evelyn as "his queen." Evelyn calls Imai "my love" while holding his face in her hands and he melts instantly.

• No bc actually can I take a moment to talk about how their marriage would only make their families more powerful than they already are?? Not only would it (forcefully) resolve their dispute against eachother, it would also given them all access to the others' resources. Their children would be the heirs to a force of nature.

• Speaking of marriage tho imagine like. an arranged marriage au 👀 wouldn't that be crazy haha-

• "His boyfailure demeanor, bitchy little voice, and sad wet eyes have endeared me." - Joon after seeing Dakota for the first time real no fake true source /srs‼️

• The two didn't really know eachother at the start, at least not personally. Dakota more than likely barely acknowledged Joon's existence, and Joon only really knew him because they liked to watch him around the stage every once in a while because he thought his reactions to certain things was funny.

• (That, and they're also really good at reading people and know that Dakota isn't really at all who he acts like he is. He wonders how long it'll take for the curtains to fall and for that character he plays to fade away.)

• I imagine their first, actual conversation would be sometime after the whole "Nyx snapping" situation where Dakota got a big scar along his face. Joon wouldn't be the first to notice his return to school, but he would be the first to notice that Dakota's whole bravado seems to have gotten ... worse? They see him acting more twitchy than usual─perhaps even more aggressive, too. Dakota may hide it well, but that little game of "hide and seek" can only last for so long until Joon shows up behind him on stage and scares the shit out of him (he thought no one else was there lmao).

"You look depressed. Finally realize the wattpad player persona isn't working out for ya?"

"First of all, who the fuck are you? Secondly ... the what now???"

• Dakota is put off by Joon immediately and Joon in turn finds his clear confusion + disdain over being in their presence absolutely hilarious.

• Dakota tries to get Joon to leave so he can (mope) brood in peace, but all his hopes of being left alone are quickly diminished when Joon reveals that he's actually working on the sets for the department's upcoming show, so "You're stuck with me lmao."

• Upon realizing that he can't (mope) BROOD in peace in the theater room, Dakota goes to leave. Joon, however, stops him by saying that it's "kind of sad how life-changing incidents can make people lose confidence in their talents", and needless to say Dakota goes off on them.

"You think you have a right to say anything? You don't even know me! Thanks to this 'life-changing incident', as you like to call it, everything I've worked for means nothing! I am RUINED!"

"Yeah, you're right. Sucks."

"EXACTLY!! AND─Wait, what?"

• The thing about Joon and how he's able to read people very well, it doesn't take him long to figure out that going the "generic" route and telling Dakota that "Everything's gonna be okay :))" won't work, because they know he doesn't think that. So, they do the next best thing and agree with him, because what Dakota needs isn't pity, but someone to get down on his level with him and understand.

• (Maybe idk I'm not his creator lol.)

• Joon goes with the empathetic route with Dakota, basically, and before he knows it, the scarred Hoshino is practical ranting to them as they work; venting out his frustrations with his reputation, his family, that fucking Hiraeth brat.

• Joon just lets him get it off his chest, because only God knows how long he's been keeping all that to himself. They listen closely and nod along, sometimes even adding their own comments every now and then just to keep Dakota grounded (even if the result is him looking at him like he's grown two heads).

• (Just wanna let everyone know that I imagine this scene going a lot like "Loser, Baby" from Hazbin Hotel bc. Yeah. Idk. Angel and Husk kind of give me Dakota and Joon vibes.)

• Pretty soon Dakota and Joon hanging out in the drama department kind of becomes. Like. A constant thing. Sometimes Joon is working, other times Dakota wants to practice and needs someone to "judge his performance" (AKA, clap for him when he's done), but there are moments when ... nothing needs to be done and they're just ... hanging out. Talking. Laughing.

• It takes months into his friendship with Joon for Dakota to realize that he hasn't actually slept or even flirted much with anyone since they've started talking, which. Whoa. What the fuck?? Kind of weird, but it can't be that big of a deal, right????

• (It was, in fact, that big of a deal.)

• I figure that, due to the way he was raised and how he's lived most of his life as the school's "resident playboy", Dakota's never really given much thought to the idea of being with a man, much less have genuine feelings for one. So he ends up freaking out and, out of habit, abruptly returns to his old ways and starts sleeping with random girls again in a very poor attempt to distract himself from whatever the hell he's feeling for Joon.

• (Here's a hint: this "very poor attempt" fails spectacularly.)

• Joon, who has yet to realize his own feelings for Dakota have developed into something more romantic, is kind of disappointed in Dakota for going back to his old ways like that, and after he's made so much progress, too. That, and he also seems to be pulling away from them, as well?? And acting like they don't know eachother when the rest of the club is present?????

• Joon doesn't beat around the bush and corners Dakota somewhere immediately to get an answer out of him, but the Hoshino doesn't budge and merely responds to Joon's questions with contempt and condensation; saying that Joon couldn't possibly believe that those moments of "weakness" meant anything to him. He even goes as far as to call them as "desperate as all of the women he's laid with" before leaving him without another word.

• So yeah they fr had a whole "break up" arc when they weren't even dating in the first place 💀

• Things between them sort of go back to how they were before they started talking, but now there's this sort of ... tension that enters the room anytime the two make eye contact or stand just a little bit too close for the other's comfort.

• Both are hurting pretty bad after their last interaction. Dakota thinks it's for the best, thinking that he would've only hurt Joon in the end like he did with all his previous partners, anyway. Joon is upset at the loss of a friend, whom he wants to start hanging out with again, but they know that'll only push Dakota away more, so he decides to just let the cards fall where they may; it's not his responsibility to "fix" Dakota, after all. Never has been; they just wish they could at least hold his hand through the process, though.

• This is gonna sound cheesy as hell, but I imagine the two don't officially start talking again + get together until the play comes up. It's a full house, Dakota's playing his part as the meal lead to perfection, and then ... the female lead has an accident, her second is out somewhere, and someone needs to fill the role so........... 💀

• Live Dakota Reaction to seeing Joon walk out on stage in his co-star's dress:

• Bro was FLABBERGASTED 😦😦

• Joon favors the play and gives his performance on stage everything they have because 1.) They look great and they know it, and 2.) He knows how important this play is to Dakota :]

• (Dakots is in the background and he is trying DESPERATELY to stay focused HELP HIM.)

• (Wait wdym the final scene includes a kiss─)

• The plan wasn't for them to actually kiss on the lips. It was supposed to be one of those fake ones where they make it look like they're kissing. But ... you know ...

• Yeah, Dakota doesn't really know what caused him to do it. He just kinda ... leaned in and the moment just took over, y'know?

• (That is a complete lie Joon just looked really good in that dress okay.)

• So anyway, the play is done, the club's done their curtain call, and Joon takes everyone being distracted as a chance to drag Dakota off somewhere private to ask him what the hell was that??

• Dakota panics and tries brushing it off, saying that he just wanted to give the audience a "grand performance." As stated before, however, Joon sees through his shit immediately, and cuts to the chase:

"Babe, was all of this just some internalized homophobia you didn't know how to process?"

"Um. What?"

• The look on Dakota's face makes Joon fucking lose it. Dakota is, of course, embarrassed by his reaction and tries to leave, but stops in his tracks very quickly when Joon offers to apologize with a kiss.

"Guys where the fuck did our two leads go it's been almost an hour."

• This is their vibe to me (if you even care 🙄 /j)

❥︎ 𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐗 (𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐄/𝐅𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐗)

• Love me a game of cat and mouse 🐁🐈

• When Felix started looking into Hanae's crimes, I feel like the two would quickly form some sort of respect for the other for their wit and quick-thinking─especially when it serves as a challenge to the other's skills (doesn't mean they like eachother at first, though).

• Upon meeting Hanae, Felix wouldn't immediately clock her in as the serial killer going around and taking people's eyes (okay Eyeless Jack 😒 /j), but he'd definitely start hearing alarm bells in his head when actually interacting with her. Yes, she plays her part well, but ... there's this look in her eyes that he knows he shouldn't trust. So he doesn't, and Hanae knows.

• Since romance is pretty much the last thing on Felix's mind, none of Hanae's charms work on him, so she quickly learns that her whole "siren" façade won't get her anywhere. Out of everyone else, Felix is one of the few to get to experience firsthand what the real Hanae is behind her mask─but only really when she chooses to let him see.

• I figure that, sometimes, when Hanae has a specific target that she can't get to as Hanae, she would disguise herself and sneak her way in like a snake. And to her luck, the times she has to do this almost always lead to an encounter with Felix, who would already be awaiting her arrival.

• They definitely have that cliché dynamic where the "hero" tries to catch their villain/love interest, only for them to escape last minute with a "Toodles~" that drives the hero up the walls.

• (So basically Batman and Cat Woman in another font /hj)

• (+ Sherlock and Irene, if you want.)

• I feel like, after so many years of being approached either because of her looks or because someone's put her on some sort of pedestal, Hanae would see Felix as a breath of fresh air because he just ... doesn't care about who she is or how she looks. He treats her as he does everyone else: like a person, not a quest.

• Felix denies the fact that he could possibly be warming up to a criminal for ages. He refuses to believe that he could hold any sort of fondness for Hanae, especially since he knows she's done terrible things. She's a terrible person: a killer, manipulator, user, and incredibly smart and actually kind of a joy when partaking in a game of wit's with─

• "Fuck." - Felix Warren, staring up at his ceiling at midnight after not getting even an ounce of sleep

• Okay, so you have two emotionally constipated individuals with terrible coping mechanisms and no way to properly deal with their newfound feelings for eachother in a healthy way. What do you do?

• Easy: you pray for their friends because you know that they're the ones who're gonna have to be dealing with them and their terrible problem solving skills and desperately waiting for the day they get their shit together.

• POV You are Hanae/Felix's friends and watching them struggle to figure out that their feelings aren't wrong or one-sided:

• Picture this: Hanae has her sights on a new victim. She puts on a wig, eye contacts─anything to differentiate her from the girl everyone knows her to be. Her target happens to be attending a masquerade ball. She watches them the entire time, getting closer with every dance, already so ready to lure them out of their burrow and into her fangs when─

"Excuse me."

Hanae fights every urge in her to curse under her breath: she knows that voice all too well, and even despite her intact composure, she knows that he knows that it's her.

Taking a deep breath, the woman plasters on her best smile and turns around to face him, batting her lashes a bit for added affect.

"Yes?" she coos, voice so sweet it may as well been dipped in sugar and then drowned in honey.

The detective huffs, almost amused. She sees him physically stop himself from rolling his eyes as he holds a gloved hand out and asks:

"May I have this dance?"

• Hanae accepts, because of course she does, and the two dance away from it all until Felix has led them both away to a large balcony cut off from everyone else, leaving it just the two of them.

• Felix turns to her after locking the doors behind them, ensuring no interruption. She immediately goes to tease him for doing so: saying that if he wanted her to himself this badly, all he had to do was ask─

"I know you're the one behind that mask, Hanae."

Hanae stops, blinking rapidly as she looks up to meet Felix's eyes.

For once, she has no idea what the shine she sees in them could possibly mean.

• The two of them just ... stand there, for a while: sitting in silence and never once breaking their gazes. For a moment, it feels like the rest of the world has faded away and ... it's just the two of them, standing apart─so far away despite being so close.

• Felix is the first to break eye contact. He looks away from Hanae with a sigh before suddenly walking past her and leaning against the rail behind her, staring off into nothing with a heavy weight on his shoulder.

• "I don't know what to do with you," he says, sounding just about exhausted.

• Hanae merely hums and joins him in leaning against the rail and staring off into the distance. Once again, the two are overcome by a silence they're not sure how to fill.

• But then: "Will you treat me differently now?" she asks, taking a chance and leaning against his shoulder.

• There's a long pause, but in the end, Felix responds with a simple: "No. Never."

• (Hanae never gets her target that night, but Felix lets her stay the night at his place─just to sleep, nothing else required─and makes her soufflé pancakes for breakfast, so maybe that's okay.)

• They don't immediately get into a relationship after that. After all, Felix is still on the fence with her being a literal murderer and all that, and Hanae can't exactly get over her trust issues and trauma from her past experiences over night, so they just ... remain acquaintances, for now. They'll run into eachother and talk for a bit, maybe even call every now and then, but other than that, there's nothing special.

• (Eleanor heavily disagrees, because Felix has never agreed to make her pancakes everytime she asks him to in the morning 😒)

• All in all, they've got a pretty long way to go before they actually decide to commit to one another, but they don't need an official title─especially since Hanae seems to slowly start moving away from peoples' advances and Felix appears to be okay with relaxing into hers.

• Them. 'Nough said.

❥︎ 𝐘𝐔𝐌𝐈𝐋 (𝐘𝐔𝐍𝐀/𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐋)

• Yuna, seeing Emil on the brink of a mental breakdown over being forced to participate in a group project: Ooh, I want that :0

• Definitely an "He asked for NO pickles >:((" kinda pairing to me you have no idea.

• Emil most definitely crushed first, but didn't do anything about it because he internally loses his shit everytime they make eye contact with eachother, and also because he believes that she wouldn't be interested in someone like him, anyway.

• ^^ Adding onto this: while he was having those thoughts, Yuna was looking at him and eyeing his man tits (like creator, like oc).

• Yuna approaches him first one day while he's packing to go home and he legitimately freaks out and drops everything, which makes him freak out even more before dropping to his knees and cleaning up his mess. His hands are shaking, his entire face is red, and he's thinking that Yuna definitely won't want anything to do with him now when─

"Can I help you with that?"

• Yuna starts picking up his stuff and putting it in his bag before he can even answer, which only makes his face go redder. When everything's finally cleaned up and they're standing once again, he even manages a quiet, "Thank you."

• (He's so proud of himself for that one, too: Yuna can see him puff his chest out slightly and how he smiles slightly to himself, as if he's just accomplished something that he's been meaning to do for ages.)

• (Which is kind of true, you could say: he's been wanting to actually say something like to her for a while now, after all.)

• The moment is then unintentionally ruined when Yuna suddenly asks him out on a date, which makes Emil almost drop all his stuff on the floor again.

• (Yuna, who has been watching Emil for a while now, thankfully predicts that he's about to drop everything before he does, so she manages to catch his bag before it can fall to the floor. She doesn't even look away from him. She just asks him a second time and beams when he shyly nods, face having bloomed into a cherry red yet again.)

• They went to the park and had ice cream :))

• Yuna, at two in the morning: this is us fr

• She tries desperately to listen and take in every detail of Emil's ocean rants, but she unfortunately ends up getting lost not even a minute into it because 1.) She doesn't understand half the things he's talking about, and 2.) She spaces out staring at him to even comprehend whatever's coming out of his mouth. She feels bad about it and always apologizes afterwards, but Emil is quick to reassure her and tell her that her just willing to listen─even for a bit─is enough. And then he kisses her atop the head to make sure she knows he means it :>

• Emil supports his girl and her passions 100% no matter what so if she needs someone to practice a new make up technique or something you can bet that he would absolutely do it without complaint. He has no shame because it makes her happy‼️‼️

• She buries her face in his tits when she needs to recharge. (He thinks she just wants a hug, but the way his sister is staring at his girlfriend with such a blank look on her face is starting to make him wonder if there's perhaps an ulterior motive???)

• POV What Yuna sees everytime she brings her bf along for a shopping spree and comes out of the changing room at the mall looking happy and feeling pretty:

• Emil thinks he's the luckiest guy in the world, no joke. Genuinely thinks that Yuna is the prettiest and loveliest person he's ever met 🥹

• Yuna making Emil ocean-inspired outfits >>>

• I know I had angst for basically everyone else but I honestly can not think of anything for this pair 💀 Like I'm sure they'll have arguments every now and then, but even then I think those would be pretty rare and the two of them are just. Really sweet with eachother.

• Both impact eschother quite a bit, I imagine. Emil helps Yuna calm down and focus when she needs to and Yuna makes him more confident to speak out and voice his own thoughts.
