𝐓𝐖𝐄𝐋𝐕𝐄: 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐂𝐔𝐄 πŒπˆπ’π’πˆπŽπ

I pulled my clothes back on and got settled with my thoughts. Tom also got dressed, but this time into a white collared shirt and black dress pants. It was hysterical. He went from nude with me in the shower to a business meeting outfit.

"Have an event to be at?" I joked, looking through the mirror as he buttoned the buttons on the shirt. He looked up, a hesitant smirk resting on his face.

"I always dress like I'm about to give a speech. Get used to it." He said slyly, cuffing the sleeves of his shirt. I sighed and folded my arms over my chest, leaning against the black marble sink.

"You're really quite-" My words were cut off suddenly by commotion in the nearby hallway. The walls in this house were thin, so thin I could hear footsteps scoffing the floors in the hallway to the left.

Tom didn't even hesitate to become my rescuer. His hand grasped onto my arm and he pulled me close. He picked up his wand from the countertop and pointed it in the direction of the closed bathroom door.

I held my breath.

It could be anyone that would appear through those doors. I squinted my eyes together and hoped for the best possible outcome- though I didn't even know who that person may be.

Then the door bolted open, and in the doorway stood four familiar figures. Draco was in the front, blond hair swept over his forehead. His face was frightened and tired, but he clutched his wand dearly.

The next face I focused on was Kiara. Her curly brown locks stood out among the rest. She also had fear drowning her face. She stood next to Draco, clutching her wand just as tight.

The next face was Harry Potter himself. I've never said a word to him, or even looked his way, but he was still here. His expression had more bravery than the rest, even as he stood behind Draco and Kiara.

The last face was that of Hermione. Her expression carried the same as Harry's. She stood just behind Kiara, almost hidden by her hair. They all paused in the doorway, taking a second to take the situation in.

I turned toward Tom for just a split second, but I'm glad I did. He pointed his wand at the group, and his lips were parting to cast a spell. "Don't!" I shouted, pushing away his hand that held the wand.

The moment I spoke he sealed his lips and turned toward me, anger dwelling in him. He wanted to protect me, keep me as his, and I could see that, but there was no way I'd let my friends get hurt for my mistakes.

I looked back to the four figures in the doorway. "Put your wands down." I said firmly. They looked at one another, obviously confused. In my defense I would be too.

I turned to Tom. "That goes for you too." I said evenly, raising an eyebrow. He looked at me and sighed, then lowered his ground to the wand.

I turned back to the group, glad to see they had all followed my wish. "We've been looking for you for days. Finally we got a lead here. It took us a day to clear the spells, but we're here, and we're ready to take you back." Kiara offered, a sweet smile on her face, even despite the fear in her eyes.

"Indeed. None of us have rested a blink since you've been missing." Harry added with a bit of hesitancy in his voice. I turned to Tom, who's free hand was clenched into a tight fist.

"Well come on. What's stopping you?" Draco asked with a bored sigh. He obviously had better things to do. But since my... Recent affairs with Tom, I wasn't exactly keen on heading back to Hogwarts, where I'd be bombarded with homework, tests, and social anxiety.

"I- I can't." I said quietly. They all looked at me, at the same thing and everything. Each of them wore the same expression; concerned, confused, frightened. Kiara tilted her head.

"Why not? The only thing keeping you here is Tom's hand. And I could easily pry that off."Β  Kiara said with daring eyes in Tom's direction. I could feel him huff with the wanting to launch at her, but he didn't, thankfully.

"It's not that simple," I sighed, trying to find the right words. Of course, I couldn't admit the things going on between Tom and I, so I had to come up with something else that would be believable.

"He's threatened to destroy Hogwarts if I leave, even if it's against my will." That was the absolute best thing I could think of in a span of five seconds. Tom didn't seem to mind my lie, in fact, I had an odd sense he believed he was rubbing of on me.

I looked at each one of their faces, all sorrowful. I offered my best 'please rescue me soon I can't go on like this' smile just for effects. "Don't worry about me. I'll be fine. It's Hogwarts that needs to be protected. I can take care of myself." I added.

Hermione grabbed Harry's arm. She was struggling not to turn back as the both of them walked away, Hermione was practically dragging Harry, as he tried to stand his ground.

Draco then disappeared back into the bedroom, but he didn't even offer a finishing glance. I assume he was more keen to getting back to being one of the most hated people at school.

Last to leave was Kiara. She turned as she walked away, her eyes full of tears. "I forgive you." I mouthed, allowing my eyes to water up with hers. She scrunched her brows together with worry then disappeared with the others.

I turned back to Tom a few moments after she left, my breathing intense. "I can't do this." I said quietly. He let go of my arm and looked down at me with shock and confusion, practically the same look everyone else had just given me.

"I can't do that to my friends, Tom. They haven't slept since I've went missing, God only knows what Dumbledore is doing. I have to go back." I said in a whisper, my tone carrying everything from sorrow to doubt and denial.

"If I threaten to explode Hogwarts if you leave then will you stay?" He asked in a regretful tone. I wasn't sure what he regretted, perhaps everything. Maybe he regretted bringing me here or having anything to do with me.

"You would kill me too if you did that." I responded, trying to stretch out some common sense between us. It would be unheartful of him to do such a thing, especially with all the innocent lives inside.

"I would rescue you just in time," He replied with a grin, which soon dropped as he realized important information. "And there's no way you can go back, even if you wanted to. Zachary and Nicholas would kidnap you."

He did have a point.

If I were to leave they would definitely kidnap me, and probably kill me. With Tom I would know that at least I have my life to keep, with the twins, everything is up to chance.

"Shit." I said with a sigh, leaning my body against the countertop. It's like I had been cornered into a room with no escape. I didn't know what to do, or even what to think.

"My life went from so boring to incredibly unpredictable at every moment." I said with a heavy sigh. Tom followed my action of leaning against the countertop. As it seems, both of us are tired from the events.

"It's a miserable way to live. I would know." Tom said, trying some way to find comfort between us. But I was so involved in the events I couldn't even focus completely on what he was saying.

"Then why don't we change it?" I asked out of the blue. The thought hadn't even filtered through my head, I just said the words as they sprinkled from my mind.

"What?" He asked, turning his head toward me. I could see the motion from the corner of my eye, but I was so exhausted I didn't even bother turning in his direction.

"Let's leave. We can runaway, somewhere safe for the both of us." I said quietly, thinking of somehow, someway we could make it out of this place. It wasn't ideal running away, but I felt like a cat scared of its own shadow.

"Where would we go?" He asked, voice stern. I could tell he wasn't exactly fond of the idea, but truly neither was I. I've always wanted to run away when things got too unpredictable, and now I finally could, if I could also convince my captor.

"I don't know. France, Italy, Switzerland maybe." I said, pulling places out of the air. I've always wanted to go to France. I have a grandmother who lives there, she's a fashion designer. I've seen her once in my life, but suddenly seeing her again doesn't sound like such a bad idea.

"Anastasia I think you're just tired. Let's go back and get some sleep." Tom said, picking up his wand from the ground. I nodded in agreement and latched my fingers around his arm.

Within a few seconds the scenery went from a dark marble bathroom to a wood-structured tower with light of duck seeping through the windows.

I had never been so glad to be at that treacherous tower. I barely even recovered from the teleportation spell as I waltzed over to the couch and flopped onto the cushions.

Seconds after my body hit the fabric my mind drifted off into the world of dreamland.
