You wanted to scream.

Cry.

You were just...angry.

Draxum has gotten hold of another piece of armor which turned out Warren had it and used Hypno as bait. You, April and the turtles saved them, but at the end he got what he wanted.

You would've gone after him, but...

But it was April's birthday, right now she was celebrating about having Warren Stones cut off limb. That concerned you....

You forced a smile on your face to not worry anyone. They are already going through enough.

Of course, there will always be someone to notice.

You enter the lair, tired of school. You had to work with a partner for science class, and let's be honest right now..

You don't like working with strangers.

You would've partnered up with April but she came late to class and by that time you already had a partner. She had to work with the new student.

Her name was...

Sunira?

Sanaira?

You don't remember.

You flop onto your bed. You let out a long, weary sigh as you wrap your blanket around you. You close your eyes, drifting to sleep.

"(Y/N)?" Someone knocked.

You get up slightly at the sound of their voice. You turn to see Donnie standing there confused.

"...hey Donatello."

"You seem exhausted..."

"Nope! I'm A–ok!" You sit up, smiling. "You said you wanted to show me something."

Right! Donnie had wanted to show you his invention. His brothers and April have already seen it, except for you.

"Correct! We must go!" He grinned.

You get up and followed him to he room, or how he calls it; his laboratory. You glance at the purple lights, a board with his theories, and his weapons.

You watch as he sits on his seat, pressing a button. A robot appeared as it hovers besides you.

"Greetings Lady (Y/N)! It's a pleasure ti finally meet you."

"...wow." You stared at the robot in awe.

"This is Shelldon. He–"

"I am a mother now." You interrupted.

"What–"

"This is now my son." You pat Shelldon's head.

Shelldon leans to your touch. You wanted to hug him so bad but you don't know how to.

Donnie just stared at the two of you envious. Where was his head pat?

You felt a weird aura emerging from Donnie. You shook it off and walked up to him. You pat his head with a wide smile.

"Donatello, this invention is spectacular! I've never seen anything like this." Donnie was eager to hear your next words. He really hoped you would say it.

"I am really prou–" Your phone started ringing loudly. You take your phone out to see April calling. "Sorry Donnie, I have to take this call. I'll be back in a minute."

Donnie stood there dumbfounded. "Shelldon...did you hear that! She almost said proud! Oh, I have to chase this feeling!"

"Is Lady (Y/N) my mother now?..." Shelldon questioned.

Donnie payed no attention whatsoever, for he was thinking what he can do to make you say 'proud'.

You walk up to Donnie who seemed to have a positive aura. "Hey Donatello. I have to leave. April needs me. I'll see you later."

You place a soft kiss on top of his head. You walk out of his lab with a smile on your face. "Oh, and don't experiment on your brothers again!"

Donnie stared at you as you left, touching where you just kissed him red faced. How does he make you do it again?

"Bye Mom!"

You walk besides April as she talked about her new friend, while she texted them. She seemed really happy.

"what was her name again?" you asked.

"uhhh- I think it's-"

You both jump at a loud rattling noise coming from a trash can. Leo pops out the trash can only to fall face first.

"April! (Y/N)!  You've got to come! Mikey found some invisibility paint, we're gonna put it in Dad's tail." He laughed.

You chuckle at his idea, while April laughs quietly.

"I love you guys, and def send me pics, but now that schools over, I'm just gonna chill and have a nice normal day." April smiled.

"Same here. I just wanna relax for a while." You smile softly.

"Scoff." Donnie appeared, hanging from some railings. "Are you really still on this whole 'I want things normal' kick?" He quoted.

"What are 'these' for? Me and (Y/N) are normal."

You snort remembering about everything you two have ever done.

"Yes, what big city girl doesn't have a kayak and hazmat suit or worked with a warring warrior scientist." Donnie grinned.

"...DamN-"

"Look, guys, just because I love the bonkers doesn't mean I don't want normal sometimes too." April admitted.

"I mean, you could try, but it'll be easier for everyone involved to if you just admit you're a total weirdo magnet!" Leo smirked.

"I've got non-weirdo friends! (Y/N) for example. And my new friend Sunira! Su—Suneera?" April checked her phone to double check. "Sunita!"

"Honey, I'm far from normal." You stated.

"I'm texting her to see if she wants to hang out later." April grinned, texting her. "And she does. HA! In your face!"

She dances her way out dragging you with her. You wave goodbye to Leo and Donnie as you left.

Leo and Donnie both look at each other wondering. "Do you think (Y/N) and April could really have a normal day?"

"Short answer, No. Long answer, Nooooooooo."

"Then it's up to their two-totally-not-weirdo-friends to make this happen."

You, April and Sunita took a bunch of selfies with each other, having the time of your lives. Behind a bush, the disaster twins kept watch for anything suspicious...dressed up as old ladies.

"Why do you always make us dress up as old ladies?" Leo complained.

"Number one, comfort." Donnie admitted. "Number two, to blend in as we monitor (Y/N)'s- AND APRIL'S Day— for max normalcy."

"Hm..." Leo stared at his brother suspiciously.

Meanwhile, you and April showed Sunita around New York.

"Thanks for showing me around! New York is a-mazing!" Sunita exclaimed. "That took all of the charm of the sidewalk and made it higher! So cool."

"Ha! You should've been up here when we were fighting Meat Sweats!" April exclaimed as well.

You punch her arm lightly, reminding her that Sunita knows nothing about Yokai.

"Uhhh— I...mean, um, fighting the sweats I get when I eat too much pork!" She laughed nervously. "...that's not any better, isn't it?"

You chuckle softly. "My apologies, it's just that we don't really...go out much."

"It's alright." Sunita smiled, waving it off.

Donnie watched from his binoculars. Leo stood closely behind him.

"How are they doing, Hortense?" Leo asked

"April almost blew it, Patty." Donnie replied. He zoomed in to Sunita's boots. "Oh, fab-o boots! And that is Donnie and Hortense talking."

Leo noticed something from afar. He grabbed Donnie's hand to see through the binoculars himself. "Hold on, what do we got here?"

A blonde guy was walking up to you, with a sweet smile. "Excuse— Excuse me, Ma'am?"

You turn to the blonde confused. "Hello, how may I help you?"

"I thought you were...really pretty and maybe if we could exchange numbers?"

"Uhhh...sure, let me just get my phone, my friend has it." You scratched your next nervously, walking towards April.

Leo lowered the binoculars slowly, glaring at the boy. Donnie felt a pang in his chest. He didn't like what he just saw.

"Operation Normal, to the rescue!" Leo exclaimed.

Donnie nodded in agreement. Leo snuck behind other bushes, thinking of a distraction. He threw a rock, hitting an innocent bird. You, April and Sunita turn towards the noise confused. Donnie took advantage of that and grabbed the man, flying away.

The three of you turn to each other, shrugging. You remember why you came to April. "Hey, can you give me my phone?"

"Yeah, sure. Why?" She smiled handing you your phone.

"Oh! This guy asked me for my number." You pointed behind you.

"Who?"

You turn around to see the guy gone. You shrug. "Never mind, probably changed his mind."

"Probably."

"OMG! WHAT IS THAT!" Sunita shouted.

You and April panicked, getting into your fighting stances. "What! Where!?"

Sunita pointed at a pretzel stand. You and Sunita stare at it full of excitement. Both of you have never tried pretzels before.

"Can we!?" Sunita asked excitedly.

"Yeah, can we!?" You asked with the same amount of energy.

"Have you two never had a genuine New York street pretzel?" April chuckled.

"No." Sunita confessed. "but can we now? Please, Please, please, please?"

"Oh, it is on."

Leo watched as the three of you walked towards the pretzel stand. He turned to see them Foot dressed up.

"Aw, the Foot!? Man, evil guys have the worst timing!" Leo lifted his sword, creating a portal. "portal—portal! Don't let me down!"

He jumped in the portal, swinging his sword after jumping out. "Nailed it!"

He turned around to see the two foot soldiers confused. He kicked his portal towards the causing the other to fall into it. "Eve—Eventually."

He hears April's laughter as you all were coming closer. He panics and throws his sword, hitting Donnie. "Oww."

Leo stands behind the stand with a smile. "Pretzels! Get your Pretzels! Get them in yellow or dark yellow!"

You and April's eyes widen. April gets in front of him, slightly glaring. "What are you doing here?"

Sunita grabs her shoulder, glancing at Leo. "Aww, what a cute, old lady. Are you two friends?"

"I'm gonna agree. They do look cute." You chuckle.

Leo hid his red face with his hand. He can't believe you're seeing him like this, dressed as an old lady.

"No! That would be weird. Not that I don't like old ladies. My grammy's and old lady!" April dragged the two of you away. "Let's go get pizza!"

"Wait, but the pretzels—"you cried

You sat quietly in a table with April and Sunita.

"This is more like it." April sighed. "Three normal girls eating normal pizza in a normal pizza restaurant."

"Par—tay!" A man yelled.

You and Sunita turn to see a a family celebrating their daughter's birthday. You frown slightly, memories of him came flooding back.

You hate to admit it... but you kinda missed having him around.

You missed Draxum.

You turn back to April who was covering herself with her menu.

"Is everything ok?" Sunita asked.

"Sorry, a rough birthday flashback." April smiled weakly.

Same.

"One regular pizza it is!" She continued.

"..." you stare at the menu, wanting something else to eat. But there is a slight problem...

You can't read that well.

Sure, you can text and read some things, but there are words that you simply couldn't understand.

You don't know when to write your or you're. Or how to write big/long words. Draxum never really taught you.

That's why you've never written anything in paper, in front of anyone that is.

And nobody knows about this problem.

"Sir, these three New Yorkers would like three of your New Yorkiest pizzas." Sunita exclaimed to the waiter.

You place your menu down going with Al whatever they order.

"Alright and what would you like to drink?" The waiter asked sweetly.

"We'll take two ice waters." April smiled.

"Would you care for any lemon?"

April stared out the window panicked. "NO!"

"Yep, yep. Lemon does anger a lot of people." The waiter agreed.

You turn to the window confused, until you saw Donnie and Leo fighting the Foot.

"What in the—"

"UHH— I'll be right back." April giggled nervously, handing you and Sunita menus. "See if you can find us desserts."

Sunita gasped at the amount of desserts there were. "I will not let you down."

"Umm... what is there that you like?" You asked.

This is one way you get away with not reading. You would make people read out loud for you without them knowing.

"There's lava cake! I don't even know what that is!"

"Here is your pizza ladies." The waiter announced.

You thank him as he places the pizza on the table. Sunita picks up a slice with a fork before April snatched her away. Sunita grabbed your wrist bringing you with them. "Pizza is so last week. Let's go! Out the back."

"The pizza—" you cried

You sneak behind a wall watching your next victims in front of you. You lift your gun, aiming at three young teens.

"Say hello to my little friend!" You shout, shooting lasers at them. Their chest armor turn from green to red signaling they've been hit.

Sunita and April land beside you excitedly.

"Now this is what I'm talking about!" April exclaimed.

"Laser tag was a great idea!" Sunita smirked. "Cover me!"

You and April laugh as you keep on shooting random people. You turn around hearing people hitting and punching each other. You see Leo and a human fighting. April sighed in disappointment once she saw them here.

"Again?" She groaned in annoyance. "Come on, Leo."

You see Leo with a missing tooth grabbing a Foot recruit.

She seems... familiar.

"Ruining my normal day and laser tag!?" She glared at him. "Laser tag is sacred."

"Beyond sacred. How could you!" The girl glared at Leo.

You held in your laugh. Poor Leo.

"We've been trying to help you have a normal day, but those Foot bozos keep following you two." Leo explained

"That's what you think we're doing? PFFT—" the Foot soldier snickered.

She threw Leo towards you and April. You drop your gun and caught him quickly. The soldier used this chance to escape.

"Okay look. I'm gonna help you kick their butts, and then you two got to go. Deal?" April offered.

"...I'll help too I guess." You set Leo down. "WaIT— two of you!? Who else is here—"

"Deal!" Leo agreed. "Operation Normal is about to get un—normal and then go back to normal."

You all search for the Foot recruit. You and April bump into Sunita.

"April? (Y/N)?"

"Sunita?"

"What's uhh...new?" April questioned nervously.

"You know...stuff." Sunita smiled nervously.

"...cool, coolcoolcool, cool..." you started slightly sweating.

"LOOK OUT!" Sunita pouted behind you.

You turn quickly to see the same person who's fought with Leo.

"DITTO!" April pointed behind Sunita, to see the buff man.

"Oh no you don't!" Donnie and Leo threw themsleves towards the foot. "Grandma's here!"

"Oh, Donnie's here too..." you muttered.

You pulled Sunita and April away, hiding behind a wall. "Stay here! I'll be back."

You throw yourself towards the female soldier who was stepping on Donnie. You pin her down, taking a good look at her.

You know you've seen her somewhere...

"...(Y/N)?" She whispered.

"How do you know my na—"

You hear Sunita shout. You turn to see green slimy goo coming towards all of you. You were sent flying when it exploded, sending goo everywhere.

Donnie helped you up. Leo rubbed his head, wondering what the heck just happened. "April, what happened?"

"Where's Sunita!?" You asked

She pointed at the splattered goo in the floor with a smile. You, Leo, Donnie panicked. "AHH! SHE'S IN PUDDLES!"

"April, it is not ok to liquify your friends!" Donnie scolded.

The goo come together in the form of a person. She presses something from her chest, turning into human again.

"Oh...hOLy—"

"She's like exploding Frankie!" Leo laughs. "It never gets old. I love it!"

"Ha, so, I guess you never stopped being a weirdo magnet after all, huh April?" Donnie grinned.

"You know what? I don't need to be normal." April smiled, hugging Sunita. "For me, weird is normal, and I am so cool with that."

"As a fellow weirdo, I concur." Sunita agreed.

You look down to see her boots missing. "Hey, where are your boots?"

The Foot soldier, also known as Cassandra, placed the boots on the floor, allowing it to connect with the armor.

"The dark armor is almost complete."

"We are one step closer to its dark power. SO DARK! So powerful." She exclaimed.

"Oh, yeah. How do you know that girl, the one at the laser place?"

"That is NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!" She blurted out. She walked away from him.

"I've found you...(Y/N)." She held a picture of you.

|Bonus|

"Donnie. Leo. Are you guys ok?" You asked once you all entered the lair.

You touch their bruised faces softly, not wanted to cause them any pain. Leo already knew what you were gonna do, and was ready.

"No, it hurts" He cried.

You bring him closer to you, placing a kiss on his cheek. Leo melted into your arms, enjoying your touch.

Donnie watched the scene in front of him, wanting to experience this as well.

"I'm hurt too." He whimpered.

You cup his cheeks, placing a kiss on his cheek as well. Donnie stiffened, before melting to your touch.

"Better?" You asked

"Yup!"

"Alright. Goodnight!" You wave as you enter your bedroom.

Once you were gone, both boys glare at each other. Not saying a word, they both leave to their rooms.

AUTHOR—CHAN SECRETS

▷Your hang outs with April are now joined by Sunia and you don't mind. She's like a little sister to you, like April.

▷You and Shelldon like to hang out together in the lair whenever the guys go on missions. He also calls you mom instead of Lady (Y/N)

▷ Every mistake (Y/N) has texted were done on purpose. That's what happens when you're  homeless and your 'father figure' doesn't teach you how to read or write.

▷Donnie tries to make many new inventions to make you say 'proud', but something is always interrupting the two of you.
