β πππππ πππππ ππ?" Lip asked as he, Carl, Allen, and Adelaide walked up to the others. Debbie was on a ladder, looking into Veronica's bathroom window.
"Veronica's brother locked himself in the bathroom and is threatening to burn the place down." Fiona briefly explained. "Cool." Carl grinned.
"He's saying that he's gonna light both the dress and the shit-sack house on fire." Debbie explained from the top of the ladder. "What's a shit-sack?" She asked.
"You're brothers an arsonist, V?" Allen asked from Adelaide's side. "Yeah, he was in prison for arson." V answered.
"You know what an arsonist is?" Carl asked Allen. "He's not stupid, Carl. He knows a lot more than you may think." Adelaide replied.
Adelaide stared at herself in her bedroom mirror. She liked dresses, she just didn't like how she looked in them. She never saw herself as beautiful while she was wearing a dress. She only ever thought she looked awkward and disproportionate.
The dress she was wearing was in fact beautiful. She found it in her moms closet, along with some other stuff Lenora didn't bother to take with.
The dress was a dark red and it cut off around above her knees. The strap keeping the dress up was around her neck and the waist of the dress was tight, just to give the dress some shape.
It fit Adelaide perfectly, which made her think that it was a dress from Lenora's teenage years. Something she couldn't part with, but something she left behind.
Adelaide paired the dress with a gold rose necklace, gold hoop earrings, and a pair of gold strap heels that were also in Lenora's closet. Her makeup was simple, natural, and light and her hair was curled, but left down.
She knew she looked beautiful, but that's not how she felt. She kept staring at her self in the mirror until Allen walked in.
"Well, don't you look handsome, kiddo." Adelaide grinned. He wore a timple black blazer with a white dress shirt underneath and a pair of black dress pants. His hair was messy, but there was no fixing that, it's just how his hair usually was.
"You look really pretty, Adie." He smiled up to his sister, who smiled back to him. The two siblings walked downstairs, said goodbye to Bongo, grabbed their wedding present, and left the house.
β πππ πππ ππππ the bride!" Father Pete exclaimed. Kev and V quickly embraced each other and kissed, causing everyone to cheer and clap. Even though it was fake, it was still an amazing moment.
The party quickly started afterwards. Everyone was dancing, there was music blasting, people were drunk, and Adelaide was sitting at the counter with a full glass of beer.
Carl was walking around taking random videos of people. Lip and Karen were kissing while dancing. Debbie, Allen, and Fiona were doing some elaborate dance. Frank and Carol were dancing with each other. Kev and V were of course dancing with each other.
Adelaide smiled at her surroundings. It truly was an amazing time when everyone she loved was happy. Allen walked up in front of Adelaide and put his hand out in front of her, "May I have this dance?" He asked. Adelaide laughed and took his hand, letting him guide her to the floor to dance.
The Parker siblings began swaying and jumping around. Having the time of their lives.
"How about you go dance with Mandy? I'm gonna go finish my drink." Adelaide said to her brother. He nodded and ran over to Mandy, who immediately began dancing with him.
Adelaide went back to her stop at the counter and picked up her beer, which surprisingly had not been stolen. She turned back around and observed the scenery again.
"You look stunning, Adie." Lip said as he walked towards the brunette. "You don't look too bad yourself." She grinned, taking a sip of her drink.
"I mean it. You really do look amazing." He said, which brought that odd feeling back to her. Adelaide still couldn't tell what it was. She couldn't tell if it was disgust, or butterflies, or nervousness. She didn't know what it was, and she didn't know if it was a good feeling or not.
"Thank you." She smiled back to him. "Wanna dance?" He asked, rubbing the back of his neck out of what Adelaide could only assume was awkwardness, or possibly even nervousness.
The smile never left her face as she grabbed his hand and brought him to the floor. The two began doing some weird elaborate dances that brought their bodies pretty close together and caused Karen to glare at them.
Lip spun Adelaide around and then brought her into a hug, where they simply swayed together. "Y'know, if I weren't with Karen, I think I would be trying to get with you." Lip whispered. Adelaide pushed herself away from him and shook her head. "You're drunk, Lip. Go home." She joked.
He shook his head, "No, not 'get with you' in the sex way, in the other way. Relationship wise." Adelaide shook her head again and looked down, trying to hide the blush that was most definitely forming on her face.
"You're not gonna remember any of this in the morning, Lip." She laughed and began walking back to the counter. "I've only had two drinks, y'know." He called to Adie as Karen placed herself back on his hip.
