𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐀𝐆𝐇𝐄𝐑 π‡πŽπ”π’π„ was never Adelaide's idea of an ideal hangout spot, but since her mother hated those southside rats more than she hated herself, it was the only hangout spot. And because Adelaide and Allen had been kicked out of their own house because Adie got into an argument with Lenora about her drinking problem, while she was the textbook definition of 'wine mom wasted,' the two city centipedes were spending some quality time with the southside rats themselves.

Steve and Ian came rushing into the Gallagher home, holding nothing but bags of burgers. The two began calling out what condiments were on each burger and the rest of the rats at the house (including Karen Jackson, much to the disappointment of Adelaide) were taking their claim on them.

"Cheese and ketchup?" Steve called, looking down at the burger and then at the group. "That would be Al." Adelaide smiled down at her brother, who was sitting on the floor in front of his sister. Steve handed the burger to the boy and he thanked him before immediately opening it. "Uhm, who the hell got jalapeΓ±os on theirs?" Steve questioned in a judgemental voice.

Adelaide chuckled and raised her hand. "Birdie did. She loves hot peppers, like she really loves hot peppers. Her favourite snack is jalapeΓ±o poppers!" Allen explained, pronouncing jalapeΓ±o wrong. Adelaide shook her head and ruffled her brothers hair as she grabbed her burger with the other hand. "You can't say anything, bug, you love hot peppers too." Allen nodded after taking a bite of his burger and leaned back into Adies legs.

"Seriously, your favourite snack is jalapeΓ±o poppers?" Lip questioned. Adelaide shot him a confused look, "You didn't know that?" Lip shrugged and sat down with Karen, who sent the fakest smile over Adelaide's way. "Birdie?" Steve asked from the kitchen doorway. "It's my middle name." Adelaide smiled over to him before he walked over to the fridge.

Steve returned mere moments later with beer for everyone (except the young ones and Adelaide) and everyone directed their attention to the television, where a fishing show was playing. Adelaide didn't actually enjoy the show, she didn't really enjoy any show, but for the southsiders, this was quality entertainment.

Everyone had finished eating and was now just somewhat enjoying the show. Allen had migrated to Adelaide's lap, just as Karen had migrated to Lip's.

Then, Frank walked through the door with a bloody nose and blood all over his shirt. Everyone immediately directed their attention to him. "You okay, Frank?" Adelaide asked, turning her body to look at the man.

"Hey, that my shirt?" Ian asked, walking up to his father. "Yeah," Frank began, walking to Ian, closing the already small gap between the two. And then, Frank did the unexpected, he headbutted Ian in the nose, causing the red-head to fall back onto the table. Steve got up and was pushing and yelling at Frank, Adelaide had pushed her brother off her lap to make sure Ian was alright, Allen ran to the other side of Ian, asking to see his nose because he knows what a broken nose looks like, Veronica was covering Carls ears, and everyone else was kinda just yelling random shit.

Frank and Steves little argument quickly began to escalate, which Adelaide noticed and jumped in between. "Can you guys not do this in front of the kids?" She yelled, which neither listened to. Frank just pushed the girl out of the way roughly, which meant she slammed her head into the wall and he continued egging Steve on. Allen ran past the two men and over to his sister, who was now holding her head in pain. That's when Fiona got involved, getting in between the two and yelling at Steve to get the fuck out.

Frank had been repeatedly calling Steve a pussy as he was on his way out of the house and Fiona was back by Ian's side. Lip ran over to Adelaide once he noticed her doubled over in pain. This had been the first time since she moved to the southside that Adelaide had actually gotten injured because of someone else. "You good, Adie?" Lip asked, putting his hand on her shoulder and leaning down to look her in the eyes. "I think so, I'm honestly not sure, but we should really be checking on Ian. Gotta make sure his nose didn't end up like Al's." She explained.

Allen simply shrugged at her comment, "I looked at his nose, it didn't look broken, I think it's just bloody." Lip took his hand off of Adie's shoulder and walked towards Ian, making sure he was alright.

"You go help make sure Ian's alright, okay, bug?" Adelaide lightly pushed Allen towards the rest of the group as she clutched her head. Allen nodded and pushed Lip out of the way, so he could look at Ian's nose. "Your nose isn't broken, Ian, you'll be fine." Allen grinned at the older boy as he examined his nose.

"How do you know?" Ian asked the boy, looking down at him. Allen didnt reply, he just pointed at his nose, which was still in a cast. Ian nodded before getting up off the table and walking upstairs, Lip following after.

"He'll be okay, don't worry guys." Allen shrugged. Veronica laughed and ruffled the boys curly hair. "I'm sure he will, Al." She grinned.

Allen then walked over to Adelaide, who had now stood up straight, but was still clutching her head. "Let's go home, bug. I need to rest my head, like badly." She groaned, wrapping her arm around his shoulder.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓 πŽπ… that day had been very uneventful. Adelaide and Allen had spent it sitting in Adie's bed watching Scott Pilgrim vs the World and Criminal Minds before the two went to bed.

Adelaide woke up the next morning and immediately went over to the Gallaghers where they were all in a panic. "Frank's never missing, what are you talking about?" Adelaide questioned from the couch. Fiona scoffed before throwing a envelope on Adie's lap.

Adelaide picked it up and examined it, then she realized. Oh shit. "It's the last friday of the month?" She asked, standing up and handing the check back to Fiona, who nodded. "Shit, what're you gonna do?" Adelaide asked, running her hands through her hair. "Start up a mini search party? I don't know, it's not like anyone wants to look for Frank." Fiona sighed as Adelaide placed her hand on the other girls shoulder.

"Okay, i'll go wake up Allen and we'll start searching. Just wait up and we can figure out who's searching where." Adelaide said, quickly sliding on her trademark mary-janes and running back to her house. Without bothering to take her shoes off, Adelaide ran up to her brothers room, where he was surprisingly awake and reading a x-men comic. "Hey, bug, we gotta do something." She leaned up against his doorframe.

He looked up from his comic and jumped off his bed. "What is it?" He asked, putting the comic on his bedside table and walking up to his sister. "Find Frank, he's missing." She sighed. The two walked downstairs and grabbed their things.

"I'm gonna grab a drink first, one sec." Allen said before walking over to the kitchen. It hadn't even been a minute before Adelaide was being called by her brother. She walked past the stairs and into the kitchen to see Al holding a piece of paper. He handed it to her and she quickly read it, her jaw dropping as she did so. "Are you fucking kidding me?" She scoffed, quickly grabbing Allen's hand and dragging him out of their house and into the Gallaghers.

When they got into the house, everyone was on a phone, calling around to see if they could find Frank. And Karen was there, just another thing to ruin Adelaide's day. First, she agreed to search for Frank, an impossible hunt. Second, she had to read that fucking letter. Third, Karen Jackson was helping find Frank, fucking fantastic.

"Woah, you look pissed, Adie." Karen spoke sarcastically, walking up to Adelaide. Adie glared at the blonde, "Shut up, Karen." She groaned, walking further into the home.

Adelaide walked up to Fiona and handed her the note. Fiona read through the note quickly and then looked back up to Adelaide, who was still holding her brothers hand.

"You're fucking with me, right?" Fiona yelled, waving the paper in the air. At this point, everyone had gotten off the phone and was watching the two women in the middle of the living room. "What happened?" Lip questioned.

Adelaide then took the note back and began reading it to the group, a sour look on her face. "Allen, Adelaide, my sweet children. Don't blame yourselves for this, but I have to leave. I can no longer raise, or pretend to raise children that I'm not fit to raise. I've left my money to you, it's all in your bank account, Adie. Just make sure to take care of Allen, like you have been for years. I love you both. Goodbye." She finished, running her hands through her hair.

"What the fuck? She just left you two?" Ian asked. Adelaide nodded. Karen laughed and looked around the room. "You guys don't seriously believe this, do you?" She was only met with glares and confused looks. "She's obviously lying, just like she lied about me stealing her mom's jewelry." Karen continued. Adelaide's eyes widened and she walked closer to the blonde, who looked too proud about the things she just said.

"Karen, I seriously don't know what you think you're gonna gain from this and I don't want to know either, but if you don't shut your fucking mouth, I swear to god, I will wax your eyebrows and make you eat them!" Adelaide shouted, shocking everyone in the room. Allen put his hand on his sisters back and looked up at her.

Adelaide was so pissed, at both her mother and the blonde bimbo standing in front of her. So pissed, that if she were in a cartoon, there would definitely be steam coming out of her ears. The whole room was silent and Karen was preparing the theatrics, ready to make her problem, everybody's problem.

Karens eyes began watering and she innocently and sadly looked between Lip and Adelaide. "Oh, god, Karen. Don't start the damn theatrics, okay? No one here feels guilty for you." Adelaide scoffed, folding her arms across her chest and rolling her eyes. "Okay, you guys need to stop, we now have two parents to find, Frank the plank and Richie McRich Bitch, so just calm down and stop acting like rabid animals!" Ian yelled, stepping in between the two girls.

"Are you fucking with me, Ian? She's threatening me!" Karen exclaimed, crocodile tears now falling from her eyes. "Trust me, Karen. She's not lying about this, it's definitely something Lenora would do. And there was also evidence of you stealing Lenora's jewelry." Lip stated, leaving the blondes side and placing his hand on Adelaide's shoulder.

That's when Karen stopped the tears and stared deadpanned at Lip, crossing her arms as she did so. "You're siding with her? Seriously?" She groaned. Fiona walked between the small group and clapped once. "Okay, let's just get searching for the two. Adie, take your brother and start searching in alleys and ditches. Lip, you take Karen and start at the Alibi, talk to Kev, maybe he saw Frank." Adelaide nodded and shoved the note into her coat pocket before grabbing Allens shoulder and leading him out of the house and down the street.
