DARK ENGULFED THE forest that Indigo ventured through. Octavia, Indigo, Monty, Raven, and Bellamy all stood in a circleโ€” reviewing the plan for finding the three missing Ark children.

A heavy weight lay on Indigo's shoulder ( not an analogy ). She had a gun slung over her shoulder, and her arms were crossed over her chest.

Indigo avoided Bellamy. In every way you could avoid a personโ€” she did it. She didn't even look at him as he explained the plan to find the three missing people. She didn't even try to add onโ€” or comment, which she usually did.

Octavia eyed Indigo carefully, every move the older girl made she watched. Maybe she was searching for anythingโ€” but Indigo just ignored her seeking gaze.

Anxiety only filled Indigo's veinsโ€” hoping she wouldn't have to face Bellamy, and hoping Octavia hadn't noticed her avoided move towards her brother.

"So, Indigo will go with you, right?" Raven asked Bellamy, "Because if she's with me and Octavia that seems like we should distribute since there's not enough walkie-talkies to go around." she informedโ€” explaining her point, glancing at Indigo, only causing her to tense.

"Well, no-" Bellamy went to make up some spewing lie on why it would've been better if she went with the two other girls.

"I can go with Monty." Indigo quickly cut off Bellamy, only gaining odd looks from the three who didn't know what happened between the two.

Lately, Bellamy and Indigo had been attached by the
hipโ€” and now she didn't want to go with him? She always chose to go with him rather than the othersโ€” unless it was Octavia.

"Bellamy can take care of himself." Indigo shrugged, her eyes still not daring to even glance at the man who snuck onto the dropship.

Monty then quickly shook his head, "No, I'm going to be on the side of the forest that has the easiest route back to camp." he explained, "I don't need anyone to be with me. Bellamy is going to be the furthest out."

Indigo sucked on her top teeth, and reluctantly nodded, "Fine." Indigo then finally forced her gaze over to Bellamy's, "Guess it's me and you."

Bellamy held onto the makeshift radio, while the two ventured out into the darkness of the grounder-infested forest. The two almost refused to speakโ€” it felt suffocating how quiet it was between them.

Usually, there was endless bickering between the
twoโ€” making comments about whatever they passed, or whatever was swirling around in camp.

They were at war and were going into the enemy's territory. And the tension between the two was thicker than the air that was stagnant in the forest.

Indigo wasn't going to be the first to speakโ€” obviously. It usually was Bellamy who broke the silence that lay between them. But it was different now.

There was no 'them' now.

It used to be; 'Indigo and Bellamy!' but now it's, 'Indigo... and Bellamy?'

The complexity of the situation was too much for a normal person to handle. But now again none of them were normal.

One hundred delinquent teens got tossed onto a radioactive planet, only to end up trying to kill one another, then find out there were already people thereโ€” and caused a war.

Since Bellamy and Indigo weren't the same anymoreโ€” she supposed that they could switch their usual dynamic, since the dynamic between the two was already dead.

"Where do you think they are?" Indigo asked in a placid tone, her face blank, while she looked straight ahead, her hands stuffed in the pockets of her signature puffer jacket.

Bellamy didn't respond for a minuteโ€” clicking his tongue before he spoke, "Out here." he said flatly, "I hope, at least." he spoke, only causing the conversation to end there, and the silence to rise between them again.

Indigo felt guilt spiraling inside herโ€” almost making her want to cry, to grieve what they had. But she didn't, she thought it was stupid if she did, because she did this to herself.

The static crackled on the handheld radioโ€” breaking the uncomfortable silence, "I thought you said you were heading west." Monty's worried voice broke through the static, "Where are you?" he asked, obviously getting lost in the forest that engulfed all of them.

Indigo felt worry and guilt dig inside herโ€” she should've just gone with Monty.

Bellamy lifted the radio to his ear, "Just keep the moon on your left," he informed sternly to the boy, "and you'll find us."

Bellamy dropped his hand to his side, a frustrated sigh escaping his lips. While the two continued to walk, the gun that was slung over Bellamy's shoulder, clinked against the walkie-talkie.

A quivering static fuzzed its way out of the speaker of the radio. Raven told them that there might be constant static through the small radios.

Indigo was grateful for it because it made some kind of noise during Bellamy and Indigo's trek. She didn't like the constant quiet that made her ears ring.

"Is anyone else hearing this signal?" Monty asked, breaking his way through the static that flowed out of the walkie-talkies.

"Just keep your eyes open." Raven dismissed, her voice cracking through the radio that kept them all in some kind of contact.

"I think it's the same thing we heard in the black box," Monty added onโ€” but only to be quickly shot down by Bellamy, who spoke into the walkie-talkie again.

"Damn it, Monty," he cursed, "pay attention." he scolded the boy, causing Indigo to give Bellamy a small glare, while he positioned his gun with one arm, "Do you see anything?"

Indigo stared at the metal that hung over her shoulder and slowly began to hold it correctlyโ€” like how Bellamy taught her in the bunker.

There was nothing but static coming through, and Bellamy and Indigo gave one another a look. Bellamy then sharply inhaled and licked his lips before speaking into the radio again.

"Report," Bellamy demanded, his tone low, only to receive more static through the small makeshift walkie-
talkieโ€” maybe they just weren't good? That's why Monty wasn't responding.

It was quiet for a moment, and Indigo stopped walking, causing Bellamy to stop and turn to look at her, "We don't have time for this, Indigo." he practically spat out her full name.

"Why isn't he responding?" Indigo asked in a quiet voice, her tone almost showing worryโ€” but Bellamy could see between the lines, knowing she was worried.

"Oh my god-" he ran a frustrated hand over his face, "I told you to stop worrying. It's probably just the stupid walkie-talkies." Bellamy scoffed, giving her a shrug.

"I can't just stop." Indigo snapped at him, "You literally tell me that on a daily basis." she scoffed, "And then you tell me to get a fucking distraction?" she says in an angry amused tone as if she was practically saying 'who the hell are you to tell me what to worry about?'

"So you're pissed because the sex was so bad that it didn't stop you from worrying?" Bellamy spat out, his eyes narrowing at herโ€” putting words in her mouth.

Indigo raised her eyebrows at him in amusement, "Is that what you're worried about?" she rolled her eyes, "That I didn't think the sex was good?"

Bellamy scoffed at her accusationโ€” which was most likely true, "You told me not to screw anyone else in camp... yet here we fucking are."

"What does that have to do with anything? I'm sorry I'm a hypocrite." Indigo let out a frustrated sigh, rolling her eyes once again, "Look," she let out a sighโ€” trying to calm her temper that rose in her throat, "I didn't want to die a virgin!" she whisper-yelled, her eyebrows furrowing.

Bellamy's eyes widened at her wordsโ€” causing him to pause for a moment, and furrow his eyebrows at the new information.

"First of all," he pinched the bridge of his nose, "you're not dying anytime soon." he paused, dropping his hand to his side and swallowing thickly, "You were a virgin?" he almost flinched asking.

Indigo rolled her eyes and stepped back, "Yeah. How the fuck do you get laid when you're in solitary for most of your teen years?" she scoffed at his realization.

Bellamy went to open his mouth and respondโ€” snapping something back at her, just because he was angry that the two were just different now.

But that didn't happen, because the radio began the crackle with static again, "There's someone in the bushes." she said, her tone wary and slowโ€” enunciating every word that flew from her mouth and into the radio.

The two quit their argument quickly, and lifted their guns once again, beginning to quickly head towards the direction where Octavia and Raven were.

Indigo's feet were quicker than her mindโ€” which wasn't racing as much as her heart was. Her back that was over her other shoulder kept bouncing against her hip as she jogged through the thick forest.

If Bellamy and Indigo were okay, then she would pull on her arm, or her bag strap to help lead herโ€” and so she could catch up to him.

But now, she was falling behind, and the gun that she held wasn't helping her case. Her breath was quick, almost panting, while she came upon the two girls who were knelt by a bush.

"Myles?" Octavia asked, her tone confusedโ€” assuming whoever was in the bush was a grounderโ€” while she shuffled the bush so she could see the boy better.

"Holy shit." Indigo's eyes widened at the sight of the
boyโ€” her tone quiet so he couldn't hear her. Raven then quickly moved forward shuffling closer to the boy.

"Myles, what happened?" Raven asked, her tone falling into a frantic oneโ€” his body lay under the leaves of the bush, and a large gash in his chest, causing blood to spill from his mouth.

The crimson only brought Indigo's mind to her
fatherโ€” trying to empty him from her thoughts, there was too much going on for him to taunt her.

"Where are they?" Octavia quickly askedโ€” knowing there wasn't much time left for the boy, "Clarke and Finn, where are they?" she asked againโ€” making sure he knew what she meant.

Myles began to struggle, "The-" his tone was strained, "The grounders took them." he informed the group that hovered over his body.

Bellamy began to kneel, "Take it easy." he informed the boy, his tone more mellow than Indigo had heard in a while, "We have to get him back to camp." his tone was barely over a whisper.

They all knew it was too late for him.

"Bell, what about Clarke and Finn?" Octavia asked, her gaze rising to her brother. He didn't respondโ€” neither did Indigo or Raven.

If the grounders took them...

Raven quickly stood upโ€” sniffling. Bellamy stood up with her, and sighedโ€” his tone keeping its solemn and
calmness.

"Raven, I'm sorry." Bellamy apologized to the girl who constantly held her hair up with a hair tie. Raven's eyes glistened with brimming tears, while she shook her head subtly at him.

Indigo stared down at the boy, "We need to make a stretcher." she finally spoke up, her tone low as she watched the boy strain to even live.

Bellamy glanced at Indigo, and then lifted the radio to his ear, "Monty, we're heading home. You copy?" he tried to reach the boy.

It was quiet, the static flowed through the small speaker in the walkie-talkie. The silence and the static haunted
Indigoโ€” causing her to sharply inhale.

She needed to think of the presentโ€” she needed to help Myles while she could. Clarke wasn't here Finn wasn't
hereโ€” it was up to her now, because everything will go to shit if she doesn't step forward.

"Monty, can you hear me?" Bellamy sternly asked through the speakerโ€” the crackling only responding to him, while Monty's voice was absent.

Indigo bit down on her bottom lipโ€” trying to suppress a cry, as she knelt at Myles's side, sliding the gun and bag off her arms.

"Monty..." Bellamy tried again, "Monty, where the hell are you?" he began to grow even more angry with the empty radio, "Report." he commanded, "Monty..."

Indigo let out a shaky sighโ€” trying to smile at Myles as he struggled to even breathe, "It's gonna be okay." she tried to assure himโ€” which she could barely do.

Three people were gone in one day.

And Myles was next on that list.
